Alonso at Evolution Motorsports has definitely earned every 5-star review he's received. His shop is always packed with cars, which says everything you need to know. People trust him because he does incredible work. He did a flawless job installing my Adro carbon fiber kit and yellow DRLs. Even when we hit a snag with faulty modules from the vendor (twice!), Alonso was incredibly patient and offered to fix the issue at no extra cost just to make sure I was happy. He is clearly very proud of his work, and if you ever have an issue with an install, he'll do his absolute best to work with you and make it right. Alonso and his guys will truly take care of your car install needs. I'll definitely be back for any work I need in the future!
When I first searched Yelp for the top contenders in window tinting, Evolution Motorsports stood out -- and I'm so glad I chose Alonso and his team. Three years later, I noticed a little bubbling on my front window film. Even without receipts, (owner) Alonso found me in his system, told me not to worry, and honored the warranty at no cost. That speaks volumes about his integrity. His shop has only improved since my first visit -- beautiful lounge, comfy seating, complimentary drinks and snacks, and a big screen TV. I had a Vantrue dash cam installed in my 911. Alonso was super professional and took the time the explain the different dash cams and which one would work best. The price was super reasonable and he was able to get me in practically the next day and finished the job the same day! I cannot recommend Alonso and his team enough! Will definitely be back and recommend friends as well!
I did my homework. Lots of it. From several shops, I narrowed it down to two. And from the two, I didn't go with the cheapest option, I went with the one who felt most reliable. Reliability in the motor service industry is a HARD thing to find. Lots of salespeople. And then, there was Alonso. He seemed very educated in what I needed, accommodating in the timeline, and above all, re-assuring of their commitment to quality. They did an amazing job but I did have an issue with the quality of one of the cameras installed. I called back and he was quick to jump on the issue and set up a next time to bring the car over to replace it. He's been very communicative, always well-mannered and in good spirits. Lastly, I wanna say this: I know no business is perfect and the reviews that are not high on their site, felt less so about the work and more so personal and vendetta-like. I don't care about that. I care about the work, the quality, and knowing if something doesn't work down the line, they'll be there to help and stand behind their labor quality. That's who they portrayed themselves to be, and that's why I'm taking the time to write this the way I am -- because I know it will be read as intended: focus on what matters most: their business, your money. These guys are the best! I took my 2025 Tundra 1794 edition for sound deadening because I hated the rattling within the truck. Gave them a call and gave me an amazing quote by the owner Alonso. He also sent me picture and videos through the process and went above and beyond by not only adding sound deadening to the door frame but also added it to the back of the plastic portion of the door that detaches. I can't hear any rattle with blasting bass, it perfect sound. Amazing crew! If you're looking for a professional and trustworthy auto upgrade center go here!
I'm a lil delayed in writing my review from when I got my service but Alonzo and his crew are excellent. With me not being from the L.A area, Alonzo's hospitality made feel very at home while I waited for my service. He also kept it 100 about things he noticed on my car, they found that the people who did my paint job tried to cover up a fuck up they made. Thanks to Alonzo and his crew they took care of it and did it FREE OF CHARGE. Cost of service excellent, while other shops quoted me as high as $850, Alonzo did it for $250 dollars.
By far the best experience I've had at ANY business in general. Everything went so smooth and easy that I truly wish all my car mod experiences went that way. The owner Alonso was extremely nice, truthful and confident in providing the highest standard of work when dealing with my truck. They were the only shop that was confident in installing the DRL module into my headlights when I requested the service on Yelp and they did with perfection without charging an arm or a leg!! Would definitely come back here for any of my car needs going forward. Highly recommend!
I brought my 2006 Honda in for tint, a CarPlay screen installation with a backup cam, and a dash cam, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, Alonso and his team treated my car with the same care and attention as the Jeeps and Teslas around it. He was patient in explaining all the options and prices (even when I asked more than once!), showed me how the tint would look beforehand, and kept good communication throughout the process. When I got my car back, it felt brand new , I can listen to music clearly, use CarPlay and my map easily, and have peace of mind from the added security of the cameras. On top of that, Alonso is genuine, gave me a fair price, and offers lifetime support where I can bring the car back for any tint issues and just pay labor. Seeing the car drive back into the driveway honestly brought me so much joy. If you're looking for quality work and a shop that treats you and your car with respect, I highly recommend Alonso and his team. Some people mention timing in their reviews, but after seeing it firsthand I can say Alonso is really running the business himself. He's constantly moving around, handling every detail, and still manages to keep a kind, professional attitude. Considering his shop is right on Broadway and Jefferson by DTLA, and knowing how good his work is, it makes sense he's busy and booked up. I had such a great experience at Evolution Motorsports! I called to request availability for a dash cam (front and rear) installation and I was offered an appointment very quickly (next day or following day after that). Upon arrival, I was greeted by Alonso and immediately felt very welcomed. Alonso is very friendly, honest, and genuine! I could immediately tell that I made the right choice in coming here versus other businesses just by Alonso's mannerisms and professionalism. He truly cares about his customers. There is a waiting room area where I waited and it was comfortable. I was even offered tea, coffee, water and candy. I did see a WiFi sign up as well for use. Side note- but Mercado La Paloma is nearby (walking distance 10 minutes) so it might be a place to check out as well if you find yourself waiting. The installation for the dash cam was about an hour and a half. I ended up forgetting the SD card but Alonso was very understanding and had me come in later that day to finish the installation process (another ten minutes). One thing to note is that the street in which Evolution Motorsports is located at is a bit busy at times. However, Alonso guided me out which was very helpful. I also did provide the dash cam, the hard wiring kit, and SD card (ordered from Amazon). The service was installation only and I think it was a very reasonable price. I had opened the dash cam box and knew that I needed help installing so I'm very thankful I found this place. Overall, I would highly recommend Evolution Motorsports. I would definitely come back here if I need any of their other services!
This shop had multi million dollar vehicles, my old car is nothing compared to those vehicles, the crew treated my vehicle as it was at that category. Hands down the best shop I have ever been to. Customer service and their work couldn't be happier, completed the work in one day while I waited in the waiting room which was just amazing this shop has entertainment for you and your kids their is no way in hell you will be bored while waiting. This place is a no brainer for your cat needs, let alone the owner is just a good human being wish him all the success well deserved for him and his outstanding crew.

Took my car to evolution motorsports for full ceramic coating and premium ceramic window tint. Alonso was professional, explained everything clearly, and used high-quality products. The results are flawless: paint has insane gloss and insane water beading, stays cleaner longer. Tint is perfectly even, no bubbles, and the heat rejection is noticeable--interior stays much cooler in this California heat. Shop was clean, staff friendly, and car was ready on time. Communication was spot-on from booking to pickup. If you're looking for ceramic coating or tint, this place delivers excellent work and great value. Definitely coming back. 5 stars! read more

I initially liked the work the team did on my car and the owner, Alonso, was very thorough about explaining the work performed and cost. I had planned on being a returning customer and have custom wrap done on my car, interior lighting, and a few other things. I had even started referring different friends to the business who also wanted to have work done on their cars. Sadly it didn't turn out this way, as I randomly got a text message on February 27, 2023 from his wife suddenly banning me from returning since apparently they had marital problems and decided to involve me in their personal lives. I was absolutely blindsided and quite frankly disappointed at how Alonso and the "co-owner" went about their issues. I wanted to let this go however since his team replaced my car's dash screen, CarPlay system, tinted my windows, the sound system has been absolute trash for taking calls. Callers say they either can't hear me or hear an intolerable echo that makes it hard to listen to what I'm saying. I have not been able to have clear calls ever since the work they did. So l was left with an unusable phone audio system in my Mercedes that required an added expense since I clearly am "not welcome" to fix the crap they did to my car in the first place. read more

What can I say - Evolution Motorsports LA is the place to go for any light modifications you want to get done into your car. I called the shop about 2 weeks ago, and directly spoke with Alonso - the owner of the shop. I told him what I wanted done; install some ditch lights onto the hood of my car with lights and brackets that I will be providing for the install. Alonso gave me a VERY fair price and assured me full satisfaction. I called 2 other shops and they were going to charge a bit more, so I was set on going with Evolution motorsports. Fast forward to this week. I finally have the lights that I ordered and am ready to get these bad boys installed. I call Alonso on Monday and remind him that I spoke with him before about getting the lights installed. No problem - He gets me booked for Friday morning and honors the price he told me two weeks ago. I arrive at the shop punctually at 9am and am greeted and am brought to the waiting area where there is complimentary Wifi, water, and coffee. I chill out there in the mean time - brought my laptop as there is really nothing near by in walking distance. They get working on my car and it takes about 2 hours. After about an hour Alonso checks with me on where I would like the switch installed. I see the spots he recommends and I decide to get with the area he suggests so long there is no complications and to let me know if there is and we can find another spot. No issues with the spot. Installation is finished and Alonso tells me to check it out and he answers all questions I had about the install. I ask him if we can change the angle of the lights installed and he gets that done for me. Product was installed cleanly, and the lights and wiring looks OEM. No issues that I've noticed arise, and my car is running how it was before I brought it to them. Alonso disclosed to me the installation has a lifetime warranty if anything goes wrong with it or it starts to fault on its own. Shop is professional, and based off this service experience - I'd even recommend them for Window tinting, ceramic, and ppf services. All in all I left the shop feeling stoked. Needed a front + rear dashboard + LTE unit installed in my new car. I installed my previous dash camera myself and did not want to go through it again (also didn't want to allow my husband to attempt it for the sake of our marriage. LOL) so I asked a couple of shops and Alonso was the most responsive and had the best pricing. I wanted to make sure I found a shop that understood my concerns about the system possibly draining my battery (my car was known for parasitic drain). I arrived early and he accommodated me right away. He checked in with me on the placement of the cameras and got to work. It took awhile but we got to stay in a comfy waiting room with snacks and beverages. Everything was installed perfectly and cleanly, hardwire and all. He also made sure I had the correct settings so that the camera wouldn't drain my battery. Haven't had a single problem since I had the dashcam system installed weeks ago. Alonso is very professional and accommodating. Hope to be back soon to get tint installed and do a chrome delete. Update: Came back and got Rayno Nano Ceramic tint all around. I've always done 3M but I was impressed with the what Rayno had to offer. It was easy to make an appointment with Alonso for the installation and he explained to me the different products and their features. He made a great recommendation for the % of tint for each window and it was perfect. I was glad I didn't go as dark as I initially wanted because it would have been too dark in a covered garage. Installation all went smoothly and my car was even cleaner than I had brought it in. I've had the tint for 3 weeks now and I love the privacy and cooling that the tint brings. Alonso also installed the rear skirt perfectly. I was going to do it myself but I tend to install things lopsided when I'm excited. LOL. Now to plan and save up for the next set of mods with Evolution Motorsports. :) read more

If you can't tell, the reviews are near perfect. It's hard to believe, but if you are even considering getting any work done, this is the spot. I got my model 3 wrapped in 3M military green and WOW. The picture doesn't do it justice but it looks absolutely perfect. They seriously put everything into their work. From a quote to picking up my car was less than two weeks. Alonso is literally the easiest person I've ever worked with professionally- like in any industry. I'm coming back for more and I will be referring EVERYONE to Alonso and the amazing folks at evolution. read more

Evolution Motorsports is the real deal. Alfonso is a perfectionist and runs a tight ship with a skilled and professional team under him. When I purchased my 2011 Range Rover Supercharged site unseen, unbeknownst to me, the previous owner had butchered the oem radio, dvd changer, Bluetooth, in order to install a third party head unit. I worked closely with Alfonso to restore the vehicle to factory condition and I couldn't be happier with the result and fair price for the job.
