Head Unit Sound system upgrade wirth backup camera. Pros: Responsive. Price is fair and competitive. Kano works fast and his location has access to electronic supplies making it convenient in case you brought your own system for setup and you forgot or brought something with wrong specification. OK customer service. He accepts Zelle or any Bank transfer. Cons: Does not do testing or quality checks. Back up camera installed was in opposite orientation, I was the one who found out when I did some test before leaving the shop. My old camera almost got lost as his co worker misplaced it after removing too. Took us 5-10 mins looking for it. Head unit is not snuggly fit and is shaking, I found out when I areived home, had to fix it myself at home. Backup camera was installed way too upward i had to redo it at home as they wanted me to leave the store as another car is coming. They also broke my cargo bag at the back, they cut it without informing me. Recommendation: Do testing and quality check after completion of work with the customer. read more

I saw Yelp and also one of my friend introduced this shop to me for my car project. I wanted hood/roof wrap, speaker upgrade and chrome delete and they offered me that they can do all of them, I would give separate grades for those services. Audio upgrade : 5/5 stars. Works very well and sound has been much better than stock. Hood/roof wrap : 5/5 stars. It came out nicely and worked very well. Chrome delete/emblem debadging : 1/5 stars. Unfortunately, little details and finishes are lacking here. I already see tiny bubbles and film particles gets up from the surface. From debadging work, they just took those badges out and didn't finish work and I had to finish them cleaning up the surface for 30 minutes(I also paid this as a project too). Other : 1/5 stars. I saw one of their workers spilled out sodas from the roof when they were working on thw wrapping, they didn't clean it up and just wiped them off and stains were still there and also soda was also spilled inside of my backseat and made my stuff sticky and I also had to clean those up. And I found exactly 7 of those wrap film particles inside of my car engine bay. They forgot to clean the whole thing. It took 2 hours to clean the whole car by myself. Summary : I was satisfied for the audio upgrade even if I waited 6 hrs on first day. I gave them another day to work on details and everything but those other works(wrap, chrome delete job and cleaning up my car) were horrible. I wouldn't go back there for those. read more

EDIT: because the owner replied, I just want to confirm that this review is indeed for the right shop. Same shop on 11th St in the photos uploaded by the owner 3 days ago. I gave these guys a couple of chances, but I wouldn't recommend them unless you're really in a pinch. They'll get the job done, but do not expect any testing or QC or a clean installation. If these guys charged half of what others did, sure, but I got similar quotes from every other electronics installer who I'm sure will do better work. Here's an overview of the experience: 1. Installation is performed by any number of dudes milling around the shop. They're all pretty nice and courteous, but definitely not even close to trained professionals. Seems like a rotating crew of Kano's friends and family from SoCal and south of the border who need work. 2. Installation is slapdash. Rather than mount the relay for my fog lights on a trim piece or something, they just wrapped it up with extra loose cable and electrical tape and left it sitting on top of my battery. On my dash cam, they installed the GPS unit directly in my field of vision on the drivers side of the windshield without asking. They also didn't seal up gaskets after routing wires and I can now hear every lifter in my cars engine through the bottom of my dash. 3. Zero testing after completing install. I almost drove away before noticing my cars radio wasn't working anymore. I had to watch them troubleshoot over their shoulders to make sure everything worked. 4. Appointment times are not always kept. I showed up at 9am on a weekday after scheduling with Kano. No one started working on my car til 10:15 despite the fact I was just sitting there waiting. 5. They seem to do a really bad job with tinting. I didn't ask for tints, but I couldn't help but notice the constant stream of customers coming in to have their window tint redone both time I was there. read more

I do not recommend. Unprofessional, messy and scattered doing different installs at the same time. Gauge meter pins were disconnected/damaged during install of maestro. Wouldn't acknowledge the damage, tried to say it was already like that. In addition I was charged tax for labor, they added a bunch of other charges and a 2 hour install turned into a whole day. I was assured that installer could complete my install with everything that I wanted. In the end maybe it was a bit more than you can handle. read more

My car was DESTROYED by this guy. Worst experience I've ever had at a business. Stay away at all costs. I came in for a touchscreen stereo install and an amplifier install. He installed the amplifier and told me to wait for the screen to come in before he could install it. After I left the store, I noticed that the amplifier would only work half the time. In other words every other minute the volume would blast and then it would go quiet. I came back the next week to get the screen installed and told him the amp didn't work properly. He fixed it and installed the screen. When I left, I noticed on my drive home that the audio didn't work. His solution to this was "just unplug it and replug it when you start your car" which isn't ideal but whatever. Within 2 weeks of having the amp fixed, my speakers randomly started blowing smoke and something was clearly burning inside my car. I could smell the smoke coming from the trunk. I called him and came in the next day to get it fixed. He told me that the amp blew out and all of my stock speakers were destroyed. For the cheap price of $500 I could get all the speakers and amplifier replaced. I took the opportunity because I was low on money but this was a huge mistake. After the speakers were installed I drove home and within 30 minutes of me driving the speakers BROKE and sounded terrible. I told him what happened and he told me I had to wait a WEEK to get it fixed. After waiting a week and setting up an appointment I came into the shop, waited for 2 HOURS just for them to tell me that they didn't have the speakers. Came in 2 days later waited another 2 HOURS just for them to tell me that they didn't have the speakers AGAIN. FINALLY came in to get my 2nd pair of speakers from him. He installed it within an hour and sent me home. Not even 15 MINUTES into my drive home the speakers blew out AGAIN. I called him and he told me to come in for a replacement the next day. I came in and told him that I was getting tired of everything breaking. He told me that this next pair of speakers were the last ones he was going to give me because the "warranty doesn't cover any more" Guess what.. not even 30 minutes into the drive home, they BREAK. At this point I had just accepted my loss and realized that I was played for my money by someone that had no clue what he's doing. This isn't even the worst part, a few days later I picked up a girl for a date and when she hopped in the car and pulled the door handle the ENTIRE DOOR FELL OFF. I can't make this up I was mad embarassed!!!! I later checked the rest of my door handles and THEY ALL FELL OFF WHEN I PULLED THEM!! I took my car to a collision center and they told me that whoever took the doors off completely BROKE all of the BMW clips that attach to the doors to the car. Not only that but they carved into the door to make space for 5 inch speakers because they didn't wanna put 4.5 inch speakers in it. Fast forward 9 months later and the screen that I payed 1200 for only works half the time. I also now have a "battery drain" due to the faulty install of the stereo I'm so disappointed in myself for trusting this business, Kano and his guys are all super nice and chill but they have no clue what theyre doing and they will DESTROY YOUR CAR. read more

He proceeded to get a knife to pry off my cam & put it back on. Seemed fine until I'm 40 min into driving & the camera falls off. i had the highest of hopes....I called on Friday, to set up an appointment for Sunday morning. First of all, hours listed not realistic -- When I asked for 8 / 8:30, Kano said "9 am works better". The time was set - in my mind anyway. I arrived at 9a, only to be told by the other business that shares the space that usually the other business wouldn't be in for at least half an hour. I texted at 9:06 to confirm that we were still on for the time we had scheduled. The eventual response was "yes". (approximately at 9:25). I said "if not, I am gone, since I had been there since 9, as we had discussed" -- "He's on his way". Uh Huh...Response: saluting happy face. At 9:45, still no technician - my text was "I am out, you have wasted my time". 9:48 call: Hello, do you speak Spanish-- about Alarm - I am almost here... "no, lo siento - mas tarde" Here is the rest of the text dialogue: (12 minutes later) Me: Seriously? Having someone call me that doesn't speak English? I was able install new speakers on my car, in order to replace my stock speakers. Through not fault of his own, as I had asked if there were any upgrades I could make for a little more, Kano suggested tweeters to me. They installed the tweeters and matching speakers in less than an hour! And it was simply amazing. I will slowly be upgrading components as my budget allows, and Kano cemented the fact that I would be doing it with him. The sound in my car is pretty amazing with the tweeters, they mainly sound like they need the amplifier, sub, and back speakers to help them even out but I believe they're a good improvement from my stock. My EDM songs sound amazing and Black Sabbath's Vol 4's top hat + Ozzy are haunting my ear buds even when I'm at home. Time to save up for the upgrade, but thanks to Kano - I can slowly do that over time and still enjoy an improvement of sound quality. I think I give him five stars because he's pretty casual and you don't have to fuss over the added stress of a large investment of stereo equipment if you don't want to. Kano is a bullshitter. Terrible place. Guys don't use their brain installing stuff. Owner has these kids who don't know what they are doing. All the experience and ZERO techniques to installing equipment. Zero common sense. One of his workers installed a subwoofer and screw the amp on my back seats which the screws they used went through my cup holders and ruin my seats on a brand new Honda accord. Then I go back to have them resolve the damages done to my new car. Kano gives me the whole run down and sends me to his guy to try to fix my seats. The guys never called me and when I confronted Kano about sending my car to the dealer he went ghost!!! Terrible terrible service. I had an alarm and tint placed at this establishment and like the other reviews say they are everywhere, they start one thing and walk out to do something else then come back. They did this to everyone who was waiting. The alarm has worked fine but the tint was filled with bubbles and when I came back to have it fixed I got a lot of attitude from the guy who placed the tint!
