Mods installed

Came here and dropped off my car in the morning to have some mods installed. They had finished by afternoon and everything came out as expected. The cost was actually less than what I was quoted which is a bigger plus. There was issues with a front splitter I wanted to install and they informed me about it for my decision on it. Needless to say, everything was handled professionally and smoothly. Also super friendly security!

Look how clean it is. Motorsports grade install.

Do I recommend this business? Yes. I think Kiet at project import should run for mayor! This shop is the real deal. When you are ready to get work done. Project import is the shop to highly consider. They took a my supercharger installation to heights I never thought was even possible. Great team that loves what they do.

Exceptional auto care for my Baja. I had a few mechanical issues which they diagnosed and fixed. Along with normal maintainence needs my truck is in great hands. If you are into racing thats their specialty. Their expertise goes way beyond my car needs but I trust the care they provide

It's been quite awhile since I've done any type of modding on a car. So finding a reputable shop was also a journey. I finally landed on Project Import and got to chatting with John about some exterior mods to my Honda Accord Hybrid. They were patient and highly knowledgeable, which assured me that I picked the right shop. When I arrived to drop off the car. Kit was awesome. Easy to talk to and listened to some specific changes that I needed. Overall experience with Project Import was fantastic and will be looking to reach out to them again for suspension and wheel install in the near future.

I was recommended to Project Imports for my FRS maintenance. The staff was very proper and realistic on every level. Top Quality Service.

Took my car here because it was making no boost. Left it here half the day. They told me my turbo was broken and the inside wheel had broken the welds and was disconnected from the outside wheel. So I drove it home and yesterday I removed my turbo and in the process found one of my hoses disconnected on my boost controller. Took my turbo completely off and it is not broken and functioning as normal. They obviously didn't look very good at my turbo or didn't see my boost controller was disconnected. Will not be going back here again. Changed from 1 star to 3 star based on your response and honesty.

Project import totally killed it on the service I needed. They do the best work out of any shop I have ever been to. Super knowledgeable employees that are willing to help you out with any question you may have. They're customer service is top notch. Cuban kept in contact with me constantly with what was going on, time frames, prices, and if they recommend something should be replaced since they have everything torn apart and would save money and time in the long run. Can't speak highly enough about this place. You won't understand until you go there. I will def be back for future service and I will refer everybody here. I went to this company to save myself time since they provided a few different services I needed for suspension modifications I wanted, and because they seemed knowledgable and friendly when I first met them. Neither have proved to be completely true and I've spent alot of time and money for a pretty disappointing result. My first clue should have been when it took three visits for them to drill an access hole for my coilovers that actually worked. THREE TIMES FOR A HOLE! They clearly were not checking their work and that proved to be true in the end when I asked them to adjust a front suspension component to a new position and they installed it back the exact same way as before. They were adamant that I was wrong. I showed them an email thread that showed in writing that there was no other explanation other than they had actually made the mistake. I was always polite in this process and kept offering ways to make this right, but they stopped responding to emails or phone calls. Then I remembered them bragging when I first went in about how they do this with customers when they are upset: they just ghost them. Really immature. That forced me to take even more of my time to call my credit card company and dispute the last service charge from them. So even more money now to fix their mistake and go over all the work they did because, honestly, I'm not sure I trust the work they did given the two obvious mistakes they made on two simple items in this process, and their failure to even acknowledge one of them. You may be good with them if it all goes well and you don't ever hurt their feelings by talking about a mistake, but why chance it. My response to their comments on my original review: So again you prove that details get missed by you and your shop. The top hats can be in one of 4 positions as I explained to you in my emails, not 3. Did you read the emails? Don't think so since it's all explained there. I believe your intent is good and you did take responsibility for taking 3 times to get a hole correct. It's just that those details and the email chain I sent to you, that you continue to refuse to acknowledge, confirm that you did make a mistake and put the top hat back in the original position. Take a look at the picture and see what my child noticed right away, that the wheel is jammed to the back and rubs. That's how it went out of the alignment shop. The same ones who are verifying that your story about the top hats is correct. They are missing a few details as well! Again, meaning well but missing the mark. As for your offer to adjust the top hats for free, well that email must have been lost along with the other you sent when all this problem started. Never got it. Not in the spam folder or anywhere so not sure about your claim either. Also not going to pay for an alignment at the same shop again anyhow as you can see why. My response to your edit: Seriously, you should stop while you're ahead. You keep confirming the fact that you miss details and confuse information, then are set on it being fact. This has been my problem getting this situation resolved. There is no 100% caster position in the top hat as you are claiming!!!! You either didn't read my email or the ones with the manufacturer or skimmed them and assumed you understood. YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND AND ARE TOO STUBBORN TO EVEN REALIZE THAT! Again, I believe you mean well but it's clear who is missing the details and confusing information: you. So when you say you followed my detailed instructions and set it up as I asked, I think your own statements here have confirmed twice here alone where the problem is. Maybe that's what happened with the emails you said you sent to me, offering to work this out, that never arrived: sent to the wrong person or not at all?! Maybe they went to the same place my two unanswered voicemails went to when I was at the end of this and asked asked for a call back to resolve this matter over the phone. No more edits or additions for me now. Wasted enough of my time with this and your company. The consumer can read and decide for themselves if they want to chance it with this kind of blind stubbornness.

Two ding/chip marks. How it happened, I have no clue.

Everywhere was between $48-$60. So Thanh isn't cheap and it isn't expensive. It just is what it is. Groupon had better deals but those shops aren't open on weekends and I work Monday through Friday like a normal person so that's completely useless to me. THE SERVICE It's a hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese auto shop in Garden Grove. If you know, you know. If you don't know, let me calibrate your expectations real quick -- nobody's greeting you at the door. There's no intake form. No one's explaining the 47-point inspection they're about to perform on your vehicle. You pull up, say oil change, hand over your keys, and go sit down. That's it. That's the whole interaction. I wasn't mad about it. I actually kind of preferred it? Like I don't need you to be my friend I just need you to change my oil and not charge me for stuff I didn't ask for. And they didn't. So. We're good. THE WAIT 45 minutes. No AC. It was 90 degrees. The furniture is trashed. I was in there with 3 other people and nobody said a single word to each other the entire time. Just four grown adults sitting in a hot room staring at their phones waiting for this to be over. I felt like we were all in purgatory together but none of us wanted to acknowledge it. There's no bathroom. I'm gonna say that again. There is no bathroom. I don't know what you're supposed to do with that information but I needed you to have it before you show up here with a large iced coffee. THE ONE THING THAT ACTUALLY IMPRESSED ME They take card. No surcharge. If you're not from around here that means nothing to you. But in Little Saigon? Half these shops look at your debit card like you just handed them a seashell. Cash is king out here. The fact that I didn't have to drive around looking for a Wells Fargo ATM that charges me $3.50 to touch my own money was honestly the highlight of the visit. FINAL WORD Thanh is the kind of place that does exactly one thing and does it fine. Not amazing. Fine. You'll pay a fair price, you'll sweat for 45 minutes, you won't have access to a toilet, and your car will have new oil in it. If that works for you then this is your spot. Just bring water and use the bathroom literally anywhere else first.

After that repair, my check engine light suddenly came on--even though it wasn't on before. The first shop told me it was a problem with the mass air flow sensor and tried to charge me to fix it, which didn't feel right to me. So I decided to come here for a second opinion, and I'm really glad I did. The mechanic took the time to properly diagnose the issue and walked me through everything step by step. Within about an hour, he figured out that it wasn't the air flow sensor at all--it was just a blown fuse. That alone saved me a lot of money and potentially from being overcharged elsewhere. What really stood out was the honesty and communication. He explained clearly what went wrong, didn't try to upsell anything, and made sure I understood the situation. On top of that, he even aired up my tires for free, which was a nice touch. Fast, honest, and affordable service like this is hard to find. That alone shows the type of person you are and how you treat your customers. I have screenshots of our entire conversation that I'll be attaching so everyone can see the lies you're telling. I have never gotten hostile with you I've been patient and sure I was bothered by you changing the story line every hour I have not once yelled or been unprofessional with you like I said I have all our chat history for everyone to see for themselves and see how you are just making up things to make yourself look better. To start, I told you from the beginning that I did NOT want to replace the axle. The boot just torn, and it didn't need replacing-- even Toyota recommended simply rebooting it since my truck only has 15k miles. So I'm not sure why you're lying and changing the story now. The boot and axle were both inspected by Toyota before hand they said I should just replace the boot as soon as i got a chance. As It can fully tore and grease could leak out so I've had it sitting since then to play it safe so you saying the axle was already worn is just a straight up lie. You even said being it's a new truck you shouldn't have to replace the whole axle when you showed up. As for the lug nut, I never gave you permission to damage it like you're claiming. I came outside and you were already hammering on it, struggling to take the key off. You told me it wouldn't be an issue and that once you reinstalled it, it would come right off with a couple of hammer hits -- which did NOT happen. Good thing I stopped you, because who knows what else you would've damaged. You also installed a $160 aftermarket CV axle that you purchased from O'Reilly. I'll be attaching the screenshot of that as well so everyone can see. And no, you did NOT arrive at my place "near midnight." You arrived at 9:25 PM -- I have proof of that too. The reason you were there until almost midnight was because you destroyed the threading and then sat there for almost an hour and a half trying to figure out how to fix it. I tightened the clamps because you were trying to install the axle exactly how you brought it, with the clamps loose. I told you they weren't going to hold, and you said you couldn't get them any tighter and that it was "fine." So yes, I took it upon myself to fix them because you were trying to take shortcuts to get the job done. For reference, my OEM axle costs $450 after tax from the dealership -- not including install and $70 I also spent on the rebooting kit that was also "thrown away". The one you installed only costs $160. So yes, I have already filed a police report and I am starting a court claim. See you in court. And thanks for showing everyone how you treat your customers.
