Before we get into the review I need to express a few things about the owner. The owner is the most honest mechanic I've ever come across. He's realistic, professional and actually helpful in all ways. I feel that my cars here are always i good hands. Moving onto the review. I had my M5 worked on here. It had A LOT of issues. The car I've had for 15yr and hadn't had any proper maintenance for at least 7. Alex here was able to identify everything wrong with it and what needed to be replaced. He got my car back to where it was the day I bought it. I cannot be any happier with this shops work. I now have my AMG in for service after this great experience. Soon the R8 will be in there too I'm sure for its maintenance. Thanks again ERA Performance! For having meticulous attention to detail. And doing things RIGHT. I will definitely return. read more

ERA Performance - M5 and AMG in for service - Auto Repair Near Me - Garden Grove, California

Alex is a great guy and dedicated to his craft, almost to his own detriment. Oftentimes he's willing to sacrifice himself to get the job done, with late nights and after hours wrenching, and even skipping out on important personal matters. I mean, it's a great feeling getting your car back earlier than expected, but sometimes I wish I could tell the dude to slow down. This is the kind of guy that Alex is though, putting others ahead of himself. He does great work and will go to great lengths to make sure it's done right. His estimates for services are fair, with honest and transparent pricing, and most of all you can expect no less than surgical precision and fine craftsmanship. ERA is the complete package, which leaves me no hesitation to recommend this as THE place to take your car. read more

I'm at a loss for words. I brought my big turbo barra swapped mustang to era performance. This car is my baby, and I've done a majority of the work to this car myself because honest shops are almost impossible to find. I was short on time and didn't have the time to diagnose and repair a drivetrain vibration and oil leak that the car had. Long story short, these guys had me in and out in a day. They pulled the transmission, found issues with my flywheel hardware, sourced the hardware, and reassembled everything. I got to drive the car home that same night and the car has never felt better. Alex and Ricky, the owners of the shop are top notch. Their communication, attention to detail, and skills are next to none. Thank you, Era Performance read more

I had Alex primarily working on my car and a couple of others and they did an AMAZING job! What drew me in to getting my suspension install done with them at first was their super affordable pricing. They were super attentive to detail and suggested things that would benefit me and my car's health. Overall, they did a really good job of ensuring I would get what I paid for and honestly went above and beyond with their customer service. 10/10. ERA Performance - Post Serviced E92 M3 - Auto Repair Near Me - Garden Grove, California

Alex and his team are the absolute best at what they do. He is very honest and will never try to upsell unnecessary services while also giving the best service possible. He will suggests what are immediate needs vs future suggestions on repairs. Alex performed a full automatic to manual transmission swap on my e61 BMW 530xi wagon. Everything on the swap looks and feels like it was supposed to come from the factory. There is absolutely no way you would know it's a swap because it was so well done. Besides the major conversion performed, Alex has done all maintenance on all my vehicles. Over the last 6 years, I've had him work on the maintenance of 6 of my cars. Everything has always been done to oem standards and have never had a problem that Alex can't fix. I've recommended many family members to Alex and will continue to do so. read more

I can't say enough great things about Era Performance and the incredible job they did on my recently purchased 2012 BMW X5 xDrive50i. Although the car had relatively low mileage, it came with a host of problems -- a major coolant leak that forced me to constantly top off coolant and motor oil, an engine that would turn on with an overheating warning even after sitting idle, and severely worn suspension and brakes. Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed and overwhelmed. That's when I reached out to Alex at Era Autosports, and from the very first interaction, he was a pleasure to work with. He inspected the car thoroughly, identified the root causes of the engine issues, and walked me through what needed to be done. Since I already knew the suspension and brakes needed to be replaced, I gave Alex a general idea of what I was looking for in terms of performance and feel. He provided knowledgeable recommendations and really took the time to explain each option. As the work progressed, Alex also identified additional issues, like worn hoses, and kept me informed every step of the way. The results were beyond what I expected. Alex installed the struts and lowering springs I requested and even fine-tuned the sport mode to adapt to the new setup. The difference is night and day -- the car feels and drives like it's brand new. All the engine issues are resolved, and the suspension and brakes transformed the driving experience. On top of all that, the pricing was very fair, especially considering the amount of parts and labor involved. Thank you, Era Performance, for bringing my BMW back to life. I'd wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for an experienced, trustworthy, and genuinely kind mechanic. read more
