Jesse is the reason my cat is alive…read more Last weekend, during the Garden Grove toxic chemical evacuation, my tuxedo cat decided that the undercarriage of my cousin's Tesla Model Y was a great hiding spot. It was not. He was wedged in there for 12 hours with no food, no water, and zero litter box access. He was absolutely losing it. I ran through every option. Fire department? Busy with the actual chemical explosion rattling all of OC, fair. Animal control? Ghosted me. My cousin, currently out of the country, tried Tesla Roadside Assistance through the app. Tesla's answer: their technicians are not trained to rescue animals. Noted, but deeply unhelpful in the moment. Two other mechanics passed too. Jesse was my third Yelp attempt and my last real option. He showed up within two hours, no fuss, and got straight to work. He tried everything - the frunk, underneath, removing the right wheel - methodically working different angles for an hour and a half because my cat had chosen the most inconvenient possible position to be chonky in. Jesse stayed patient the entire time and got him out safely. My cat is home. He is fine. He is completely unbothered, as cats are. Jesse showed up when nobody else could. That is not something I will forget. Oh, and his prices are insanely reasonable. If you need a mechanic who will actually show up and problem-solve, Jesse is your guy.

I had ordered a part and was waiting for it to arrive, so about a month passed. During that entire time, Jesse never contacted me to ask whether the part had arrived or to follow up on the work I had already paid him to do. I eventually had to reach out to him myself. Over the following three weeks, I sent multiple text messages and called several times, all of which were ignored. After getting nowhere, I called from a different number--and suddenly Jesse answered. His excuse was that he had been "busy." I asked him to send me my money back and he hung up and blocked my number. In total, nearly two months passed after he took my money with no communication, no follow-up, and no attempt to complete the service. Being busy may explain a delayed response. It does not explain ignoring a paying customer for over two months while continuing to keep their money. That is not poor time management; it is poor business practice. There was an $80 diagnostic fee, so technically I am only out $40. Financially, it is not a huge loss. Professionally, however, it says everything I need to know about this business. A reputable business does not take payment, fail to complete the agreed-upon service, ignore every attempt at communication, and then offer excuses only after being reached from a number it does not recognize. The motorcycle needed a diagnosis, but the bigger problem turned out to be the business itself: unreliable, unresponsive, and completely lacking in accountability. I would not trust Jesse with my motorcycle again, and I certainly would not recommend paying him anything upfront.

Gino who took care of my intake was very friendly and made me feel welcome. They also had a comfy waiting area stocked with complimentary coffee and snacks, but I didn't need to wait long because I was out of there within an hour, oil changed and tires rotated. Their prices are fair and they accept both credit card and cash/Zelle (if you want to avoid the 3% credit card surcharge). During the oil change they also noted some things that will need repair, but weren't pushy with their recommendations. For that I am very appreciative, and will most definitely come back for their continued services.

The manager personally took care of me, and from the very beginning, everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The speed of service really impressed me. About a year ago, I brought my car to a different tire shop in Fullerton for another leaky tire and ended up waiting 2 1/2 hours before anyone even looked at my car. Today's experience couldn't have been more different. While I relaxed in Tire Outlet's clean, comfortable waiting lounge and got some work done on my laptop, they had everything taken care of in about 15 minutes. Then came the biggest surprise of all. They told me my tire didn't need to be replaced after all--they were able to fix it easily by hand. And when I went to pay, they insisted on not charging me anything. Seriously... who does that these days?! I was blown away. That level of honesty and integrity is incredibly rare. I was about two hours from home, and ended up with a hole in my tire that needed fixing before I could drive back. They told me to arrive by 6:30 p.m. since they closed at 7, and I got there just in time. While the actual replacement process was smooth and the tires look fine, I only found out from the paperwork afterward that they were supposedly "balanced". Unfortunately, the car hasn't been driving right since. The steering feels off, it's jerky, and turns are more difficult than they should be. Clearly, something is wrong with the balancing or the installation. I'm concerned that because I arrived so close to closing time, the job may have been rushed. If they can't do a thorough job that late in the day, they really should stop taking new customers earlier rather than rushing through the work. In short, while the staff was accommodating in terms of timing, the end result was that my car doesn't drive properly now. For that reason, I wouldn't go back.

My girlfriends SUV developed an exhaust leak, so I took it to my favorite mechanic. He put it up on…read morethe lift, accessed the situation, and suggested taking the car it to Anchor Muffler. He said they were great trustworthy guys who have been in business forever, and were well suited for this repair. I thanked him and headed right over. They are located on the southeast corner of Anaheim Blvd and E North Street. The parking lot in front is small and was mostly occupied, but there were a few spots available when I arrived at their 8am opening time. I walked in and spoke to Junior at the front desk. I explained the situation and he said they would take a look at it right away. They pulled the car into the shop, and I could see the technician looking under the hood and under the chassis. Then I heard Junior on the phone getting parts prices from their supplier. In only about ten minutes after taking my keys, he confirmed my suspicion that the exhaust manifold was cracked. He gave me a quote to replace it which seemed very reasonable. He also mentioned they would have to check to see if the catalytic converter was plugged up because any back-pressure from that could cause the same problem again. If that was the case and it needed replacing, it would cost a lot more. I crossed my fingers and told them to go ahead and start working on it. Junior called me later that afternoon, and told me they were close to finishing the job and that we could head over. He said the catalytic converter had some cracks on it, but that it should probably be fine. When we arrived at the shop, he actually showed us the broken exhaust manifold that was replaced. He also showed us some pictures they took of the cracks in the catalytic converter. It is pretty rare for any shop to actually show you the broken parts that were replaced. I'm sure a lot of less reputable shops would have blindly told me the catalytic converter had cracks and needed to be replaced. I really appreciate their honesty and concern for potentially spiraling repair costs. Junior was very friendly and personable. They inspected the car immediately upon arrival, and gave an accurate estimate quickly. Communication was great, and thankfully no further repairs were needed beyond the original estimate. It is rare to go to an auto shop and they give you two estimates XX and XXXX and you only end up paying XX, and not getting pitched a bunch of other things they recommend. Five stars all the way for Anchor Muffler.

I'm usually a 1 shop guy, like I enjoyed taking my car to one shop most the time, but was referred to Thomas by a good friend because I was having suspension issues and man I was not disappointed. Thomas and his tech Marcel thoroughly went through the entire rear suspension of my car just find anything loose that would make a creaking sound. At times it seemed like they couldn't find the issue, and instead of just telling me "sorry bud we can't help" they just insisted on trying different things until they managed to help the creaking issue. Too soon to tell that the creaking is completely gone already, but without a doubt will recommend this shop to anybody that needs and vw/Audi help just because the guys that are working there really care about your car and your customer satisfaction! read more

This had been the best experience with an automotive shop. I came to EMD not too long ago to do some work and testing on my vehicle. we ended up taking those tests, and work to a whole new level. They have been very easy to work with, very genuine, responsive, and honest. Unlike other places, taking care of the customer is a must, and they always make sure when customers leave that they are satisfied. They work on cars as if they were there own, and they always make sure the turn around time for any job, is as quick as possible, that way customers are not waiting months if not a year like other places do! Thomas and Tyler have been the best help regarding anything I needed done for my new Mk8 GTI. I was totally new to the platform but they took care of me with any questions and suggestions and I felt super comfortable with leaving my car in their care. I provided the modifications (exhaust, coilovers and wheels/tires) I wanted to have done and they told me that they would do their best in trying to have it dialed in. When i came back later that day, I was blown away at how amazing the car looked and sounded. Would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to have modifications done to their car. I've brought them some complicated issues on my 1JZ-swapped E30, and at every step they've been realistic, honest, and incredibly meticulous. If something needs attention, they'll tell you. If something doesn't need to be replaced, they'll tell you that too. No upselling, no shortcuts, no guessing. Just real diagnostics and real solutions. What I appreciate most is that they refuse to take the easy route if it's not the right route. A lot of shops will get a car out the door as quickly as possible. Project Import takes the time to do things properly the first time. In the long run, that actually makes their work a bargain because you're not paying another shop to redo it six months later. Their fabrication, attention to detail, and workmanship are top-notch, but honestly the biggest value is the trust. When they tell me something, I believe it. When I went back to get that done, I spoke to the owner, who asked if I'd mind letting him see the issue. I had no problem. The new filters were clearly of higher quality then the ones that came with the car. They also were made withy higher quality materials. That seemed to be the issue. The old filters fit very loosely into the air filter housing and the new ones did not fit easily. After a few minutes and some pictures, the owner discovered that the filters do fit, they are just far more snug. He as willing to give me the refund or have someone trim the filters. After they fit, neither was necessary. They'll work fine. I really appreciated how willing EDO was to deal with the issues I had, including giving me a refund, which I ended up not wanting. I already saw that they have a great selection of high end car lubricants and I will be back here to have them do the oil changes on the car. I came in to buy air filters and I left wanting to be a returning customer.

The shop where I had the work done at rechecked everything and said there was no leak on the exhaust system. I came here for a second opinion. I called and explained the issue, and the person on the phone said to come by anytime and he'd take a look. I live very close and went right over. I met Jake who was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was well aware of the common exhaust issues on this model of car. He inspected the exhaust system, and also used a listening device under the hood. He concurred that there was no leak in the exhaust system. He said the problem could possibly be a blocked catalytic converter, but that the car would probably be running a lot rougher. While we were chatting with the car still running and the hood open, we saw some smoke coming out. He said whatever was causing that was probably the issue. They are a muffler and exhaust shop, not a full mechanic shop, so I didn't expect him to investigate any further. (I later discovered that the engine side of the PCV value hose was cracked and that's where the leak was coming from). I was only here briefly, but had a very good experience. I would definitely return if I needed any exhaust work done.

In my experience, they lack professional expertise, their efficiency is extremely poor, and they show little regard for their customers' time or concerns. On March 16, 2026, I brought my 2020 Mercedes E450 to this shop because of a check engine light. I had already scanned the car at AutoZone, which showed a P0299 code indicating a turbo underboost issue, and I clearly informed them of this. At the time, there were only two people in the shop. Despite providing them with the diagnostic code, I waited there for an entire day and still received no clear answer. It ultimately took them one full week just to diagnose the problem. In the second week, they presented me with an estimate, charging $285 per hour in labor. Since my car had already been there for over a week, I reluctantly agreed to proceed with their recommendation, which was to remove the turbocharger assembly and repair the wastegate rattle flapper (including welding). I also paid a 60% deposit upfront as requested by Kenny. They then told me I needed to wait two more weeks for parts, and promised that once the parts arrived, the repair would be completed within three days. However, this promise was not honored. The parts arrived on April 16, yet they took another 11 days to complete the work, repeatedly telling me the job was "not simple" and required more time. In total, I waited 39 days before finally getting my car back on April 23. They asked me to test drive the car for one day before paying the remaining balance, which I did. I paid the full amount -- approximately $3,800 -- the following evening. Then, within two days, the check engine light came back on with the same issue. I immediately contacted Kenny. Instead of taking responsibility, he told me that now the turbo had "another problem" and suggested that I should replace both turbochargers if I wanted a "worry-free" solution. So my question is: What exactly was repaired over those 39 days? Why was I not told from the beginning that the turbo itself might be the issue? And why am I now being asked to pay again for what appears to be a misdiagnosis or ineffective repair? What made the situation even worse was his response over text: "If you don't think repair is the way to go, you could decline the service at first." This is completely unreasonable. If I knew how to fix my car myself, I would not have brought it to a repair shop in the first place. In addition, when I received my car back, my leather steering wheel had visible damage that was not there before. This is the level of service I received after 39 days and $3,800. To anyone considering this shop: If you value your time, your money, and your vehicle, this is not the place to go. Not only did they fail to fix the problem, but they also caused significant delays and additional issues.
