Excellent performance shop! Took my 2025 EV6 GT to get lowering springs & wheel spacers installed. I also had them do my alignment & wheel balance to bring everything back into spec. Everything turned out great! Fantastic pricing & very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

I wanted to bring down my ride height with some Integrated Engineering lowering springs. The team at EMD gave me incredible pricing, and talked through expectations with wheel gap, possible use of a reverse rake kit etc. If you own an Audi and are within an hour of this shop it is worth the drive!

I currently live in SF / Bay area and made the drive down to visit my family and get some EMD parts installed on my B9 S5. The process couldn't have been easier, I made the appt with Thomas a couple months back, dropped off the car on a Saturday and they had it ready the same day! Very happy with their products and service. I had a lip kit installed as well as EMD springs, spacers and sway bar. I high recommend EMD for any of your audi servicing needs and their products have been great so far!

ATTENTION DAZA/RS3 OWNERS. EMD Auto is where you want to have your car built or serviced at. I had catastrophic engine failure on Stage 2-E85. Even blew out my bevel box as well. EMD rebuilt everything and sourced another bevel box. I added more supporting mods for an upgraded turbo. I also installed their lowering springs with other suspension mods. They dialed my RS3 in and she's a perfect street car now. Thomas did all this work for me at the best price I could've had quality work done for. I absolutely recommended EMD Auto for your RS3.

I have been in the automotive business for 30 years. I can tell you that being in sales it is crucial to communicate with prospective clients before and more importantly after the sale as a long term client. I have nothing but good things to say about Thomas and EMD. I went in for some optional upgrades, and along the way, some problems were encountered. Without going into the details, I will say that the final job ended up being much more involved than originally planned but Thomas's communication was on point every step of the way. He did right by me by giving solid advice about my options as we deviated from the original plan, and a major issue was made much less stressful thanks to the superb customer service. EMD Auto 10/10 recommend. Tommy and Tyler helped me out the whole way. 2013 MT Audi S4 had an oil leak in a few places and the team was able to take care of it what seemed to be immediately (1-2 days). Going to get into the fun stuff and start modifying it now with some wheel spacers, lowering springs, nardo grey wrap, possibly a heat exchanger and Unitronic stage 1 flash! I have spent a significant amount of time researching auto shops to find the most highly qualified shop to work on my new 2019 Audi S5. This is not a car you want to take to Pep Boys for after market services. Thomas and the team are absolute experts when it comes to the best after market options for your German performance car. I had them upgrade the suspension springs, sway bar, new RS5 grill, lowered the car 1" and install a CPA Power Box for increased engine performance. EMD is a legit Audi/VW/BMW tuner shop. It felt welcoming that most of them have Audis too! Anyways, I was just here a few hours ago for a dyno run and Thomas Emmanuelle was very helpful and accommodating to me. He even gave me some nice tips for my future mods. By far the best car shop I've been to before. I have so many parts from EMD! Thomas is a great guy who's passionate about Audi/VW and his team really takes care of your car while you're there. Quality and fast installation time, and while you wait they have Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. in the lobby with a couch and a cute dog. Diffuser, splitter, grill, and rings look amazing. I'm so glad I decided to drive 6 hours to have my RS style grill installed on my S5 Sportback! It looks phenomenal and I couldn't be happier. It really was an easy swap. I thought about purchasing the grill and having it shipped to me but the dealership said it would be about a $700-$1000 install. EMD did it same day in no time for just under $600 grill included! Nice and clean shop to chill in while I waited. Definitely pull the trigger if you're thinking about having any work done here. You won't be disappointed! read more

Got my MK7 GTI clutch kit installed here. Tyler set my appointment up then Thomas and the techs took care of me on the day of. The rate was very reasonable and they were transparent about everything. The tech went above and beyond to trim and clean up the heat wrap on my downpipe that I half-assed, and even pointed out a slight leak on the intake side of my turbo. I highly recommend EMD and I will be back for bigger jobs I don't feel comfortable doing myself. read more

Met Thomas the owner when I stopped by to pick up some oil for my car. Thomas couldn't have been more helpful, cordial or professional. Quick transaction, no pressure or attempt to upsell of any kind and he even gave me a discount just so my change would come out to a clean $20. Who does that?! Thomas does that. Came here to have my Koni shocks/struts and EMD springs installed along with EMD wheel spacers. They scheduled an appointment for me fairly quick. Thomas helped me figure out what setting I should use for the new suspension (to maximize comfort) and the install process didn't take long. All the reviews are true. Thomas is very knowledgeable and a great guy! I bottomed out really hard in my MK7 GTI when I was driving through Santa Ana. It was 6pm and EMD has been closed already. I reached out to Thomas and he met me at the shop to drop my car off to repair the axle boot and tie rod end. Went out of his way to help me out and get me back in the road. These guys are awesome! Great products, clean office and shop, friendly staff. I got their springs and an alignment for my mk7 gti and it was easy to schedule an install down at their shop in Anaheim. Thomas (the owner) is the man and will take care of you - he even popped in a new torque arm mount for me, despite it being from another parts manufacturer. If you need good VW/Audi parts, check these guys out. Looking forward to putting more miles on the new setup! read more

I'm usually a 1 shop guy, like I enjoyed taking my car to one shop most the time, but was referred to Thomas by a good friend because I was having suspension issues and man I was not disappointed. Thomas and his tech Marcel thoroughly went through the entire rear suspension of my car just find anything loose that would make a creaking sound. At times it seemed like they couldn't find the issue, and instead of just telling me "sorry bud we can't help" they just insisted on trying different things until they managed to help the creaking issue. Too soon to tell that the creaking is completely gone already, but without a doubt will recommend this shop to anybody that needs and vw/Audi help just because the guys that are working there really care about your car and your customer satisfaction! read more

This had been the best experience with an automotive shop. I came to EMD not too long ago to do some work and testing on my vehicle. we ended up taking those tests, and work to a whole new level. They have been very easy to work with, very genuine, responsive, and honest. Unlike other places, taking care of the customer is a must, and they always make sure when customers leave that they are satisfied. They work on cars as if they were there own, and they always make sure the turn around time for any job, is as quick as possible, that way customers are not waiting months if not a year like other places do! Thomas and Tyler have been the best help regarding anything I needed done for my new Mk8 GTI. I was totally new to the platform but they took care of me with any questions and suggestions and I felt super comfortable with leaving my car in their care. I provided the modifications (exhaust, coilovers and wheels/tires) I wanted to have done and they told me that they would do their best in trying to have it dialed in. The shop where I had the work done at rechecked everything and said there was no leak on the exhaust system. I came here for a second opinion. I called and explained the issue, and the person on the phone said to come by anytime and he'd take a look. I live very close and went right over. I met Jake who was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was well aware of the common exhaust issues on this model of car. He inspected the exhaust system, and also used a listening device under the hood. He concurred that there was no leak in the exhaust system. He said the problem could possibly be a blocked catalytic converter, but that the car would probably be running a lot rougher. While we were chatting with the car still running and the hood open, we saw some smoke coming out. He said whatever was causing that was probably the issue. They are a muffler and exhaust shop, not a full mechanic shop, so I didn't expect him to investigate any further. (I later discovered that the engine side of the PCV value hose was cracked and that's where the leak was coming from). I was only here briefly, but had a very good experience. I would definitely return if I needed any exhaust work done.

I emailed them and got a response the next business day. After a couple of emails, they were willing to give me a refund. When I went back to get that done, I spoke to the owner, who asked if I'd mind letting him see the issue. I had no problem. The new filters were clearly of higher quality then the ones that came with the car. They also were made withy higher quality materials. That seemed to be the issue. The old filters fit very loosely into the air filter housing and the new ones did not fit easily. After a few minutes and some pictures, the owner discovered that the filters do fit, they are just far more snug. He as willing to give me the refund or have someone trim the filters. After they fit, neither was necessary. They'll work fine. I really appreciated how willing EDO was to deal with the issues I had, including giving me a refund, which I ended up not wanting. I already saw that they have a great selection of high end car lubricants and I will be back here to have them do the oil changes on the car. I came in to buy air filters and I left wanting to be a returning customer.

My feedback reflects my experience and the issues I faced…read more The EDO product line is strong, including the Tomioka Turbos. I purchased a used unit from a vehicle with a blown engine. The engine failure was not caused by the Tomioka turbo. The turbo held together through an internal engine implosion. The blade damage was minimal and no damages to the bearing, which shows the strength and build quality of the unit. EDO assisted with obtaining the missing components for this pre-owned kit. They supplied the required bolts, nuts, gaskets, couplings and the sensor in a fast and efficient manner. Due to current pricing and inflation, the total parts cost was about 1,000 dollars. The turbo kit has performed above expectation. My vehicle produces 361 hp and 301 tq at the wheels on flex fuel. I expect solid service from this pre-owned kit. If any issue arises, I take comfort in knowing a long-standing shop such as EDO Performance is available to support me.

In my experience, they lack professional expertise, their efficiency is extremely poor, and they show little regard for their customers' time or concerns. On March 16, 2026, I brought my 2020 Mercedes E450 to this shop because of a check engine light. I had already scanned the car at AutoZone, which showed a P0299 code indicating a turbo underboost issue, and I clearly informed them of this. At the time, there were only two people in the shop. Despite providing them with the diagnostic code, I waited there for an entire day and still received no clear answer. It ultimately took them one full week just to diagnose the problem. In the second week, they presented me with an estimate, charging $285 per hour in labor. Since my car had already been there for over a week, I reluctantly agreed to proceed with their recommendation, which was to remove the turbocharger assembly and repair the wastegate rattle flapper (including welding). I also paid a 60% deposit upfront as requested by Kenny. They then told me I needed to wait two more weeks for parts, and promised that once the parts arrived, the repair would be completed within three days. However, this promise was not honored. The parts arrived on April 16, yet they took another 11 days to complete the work, repeatedly telling me the job was "not simple" and required more time. In total, I waited 39 days before finally getting my car back on April 23. They asked me to test drive the car for one day before paying the remaining balance, which I did. I paid the full amount -- approximately $3,800 -- the following evening. Then, within two days, the check engine light came back on with the same issue. I immediately contacted Kenny. Instead of taking responsibility, he told me that now the turbo had "another problem" and suggested that I should replace both turbochargers if I wanted a "worry-free" solution. So my question is: What exactly was repaired over those 39 days? Why was I not told from the beginning that the turbo itself might be the issue? And why am I now being asked to pay again for what appears to be a misdiagnosis or ineffective repair? What made the situation even worse was his response over text: "If you don't think repair is the way to go, you could decline the service at first." This is completely unreasonable. If I knew how to fix my car myself, I would not have brought it to a repair shop in the first place. In addition, when I received my car back, my leather steering wheel had visible damage that was not there before. This is the level of service I received after 39 days and $3,800. To anyone considering this shop: If you value your time, your money, and your vehicle, this is not the place to go. Not only did they fail to fix the problem, but they also caused significant delays and additional issues.
