I wanted to bring down my ride height with some Integrated Engineering lowering springs. The team at EMD gave me incredible pricing, and talked through expectations with wheel gap, possible use of a reverse rake kit etc. If you own an Audi and are within an hour of this shop it is worth the drive!

ATTENTION DAZA/RS3 OWNERS. EMD Auto is where you want to have your car built or serviced at. I had catastrophic engine failure on Stage 2-E85. Even blew out my bevel box as well. EMD rebuilt everything and sourced another bevel box. I added more supporting mods for an upgraded turbo. I also installed their lowering springs with other suspension mods. They dialed my RS3 in and she's a perfect street car now. Thomas did all this work for me at the best price I could've had quality work done for. I absolutely recommended EMD Auto for your RS3.

I have been in the automotive business for 30 years. I can tell you that being in sales it is crucial to communicate with prospective clients before and more importantly after the sale as a long term client. All of my emails were answered within 15 minutes by the EMD team. I expect that from my sales personnel and that's one of the reasons why we are successful. Thomas and the crew took care of my son's Audi a few days ago and treated him with utmost respect along with excellent service and pricing. Having been on the fence to get my personal car tuned for over a year, I jumped at the opportunity to get it done by EMD Auto. The end result is nothing but smiles along with a future loyalty for EMD. Next step, lowering kit and possible ongoing maintenance as I always use a VW dealer every 5k miles. I also want to thank the young man that gave me a bunch of shirts. Shame on me for forgetting his name. My wife drives a new Q5, one son a MK7 GTI and the other in the Audi A4. I currently live in SF / Bay area and made the drive down to visit my family and get some EMD parts installed on my B9 S5. The process couldn't have been easier, I made the appt with Thomas a couple months back, dropped off the car on a Saturday and they had it ready the same day! Very happy with their products and service. I had a lip kit installed as well as EMD springs, spacers and sway bar. EMD Auto 10/10 recommend. Tommy and Tyler helped me out the whole way. 2013 MT Audi S4 had an oil leak in a few places and the team was able to take care of it what seemed to be immediately (1-2 days). Going to get into the fun stuff and start modifying it now with some wheel spacers, lowering springs, nardo grey wrap, possibly a heat exchanger and Unitronic stage 1 flash! I have nothing but good things to say about Thomas and EMD. I went in for some optional upgrades, and along the way, some problems were encountered. Without going into the details, I will say that the final job ended up being much more involved than originally planned but Thomas's communication was on point every step of the way. He did right by me by giving solid advice about my options as we deviated from the original plan, and a major issue was made much less stressful thanks to the superb customer service. I have spent a significant amount of time researching auto shops to find the most highly qualified shop to work on my new 2019 Audi S5. This is not a car you want to take to Pep Boys for after market services. Thomas and the team are absolute experts when it comes to the best after market options for your German performance car. I had them upgrade the suspension springs, sway bar, new RS5 grill, lowered the car 1" and install a CPA Power Box for increased engine performance. EMD is a legit Audi/VW/BMW tuner shop. It felt welcoming that most of them have Audis too! Anyways, I was just here a few hours ago for a dyno run and Thomas Emmanuelle was very helpful and accommodating to me. He even gave me some nice tips for my future mods. By far the best car shop I've been to before. I have so many parts from EMD! Thomas is a great guy who's passionate about Audi/VW and his team really takes care of your car while you're there. Quality and fast installation time, and while you wait they have Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. in the lobby with a couch and a cute dog. Diffuser, splitter, grill, and rings look amazing. I'm so glad I decided to drive 6 hours to have my RS style grill installed on my S5 Sportback! It looks phenomenal and I couldn't be happier. It really was an easy swap. I thought about purchasing the grill and having it shipped to me but the dealership said it would be about a $700-$1000 install. EMD did it same day in no time for just under $600 grill included! Nice and clean shop to chill in while I waited. Definitely pull the trigger if you're thinking about having any work done here. You won't be disappointed! read more

Got my MK7 GTI clutch kit installed here. Tyler set my appointment up then Thomas and the techs took care of me on the day of. The rate was very reasonable and they were transparent about everything. The tech went above and beyond to trim and clean up the heat wrap on my downpipe that I half-assed, and even pointed out a slight leak on the intake side of my turbo. I highly recommend EMD and I will be back for bigger jobs I don't feel comfortable doing myself. read more

Met Thomas the owner when I stopped by to pick up some oil for my car. Thomas couldn't have been more helpful, cordial or professional. Quick transaction, no pressure or attempt to upsell of any kind and he even gave me a discount just so my change would come out to a clean $20. Who does that?! Thomas does that. I can see why the waiting room was full of others getting work done for their cars - friendly staff and great service. Definitely recommend this place. read more

Came here to have my Koni shocks/struts and EMD springs installed along with EMD wheel spacers. They scheduled an appointment for me fairly quick. Thomas helped me figure out what setting I should use for the new suspension (to maximize comfort) and the install process didn't take long. Pricing was extremely reasonable and my car was handled with great care. Highly recommend this place for any tune up needs. read more

Update: Got some DP vibration issue and some spring fitment issue after last install( my own car's fitment issue not installation) so I went here again today. All the reviews are true. Thomas is very knowledgeable and a great guy! I bottomed out really hard in my MK7 GTI when I was driving through Santa Ana. It was 6pm and EMD has been closed already. I reached out to Thomas and he met me at the shop to drop my car off to repair the axle boot and tie rod end. Went out of his way to help me out and get me back in the road. These guys are awesome! Great products, clean office and shop, friendly staff. I got their springs and an alignment for my mk7 gti and it was easy to schedule an install down at their shop in Anaheim. Thomas (the owner) is the man and will take care of you - he even popped in a new torque arm mount for me, despite it being from another parts manufacturer. If you need good VW/Audi parts, check these guys out. Looking forward to putting more miles on the new setup! read more

I made an appointment with him the night prior at 10pm and he promptly came out the next day at 8:30AM to fix the issue. He retapped the threads I had stripped out and fixed it for me. He also made sure to drop my oil pan and clean out the metal shavings so they wouldn't get into the engine and put a new gasket on when he reinstalled it. He also completed my oil change. Really surprises me that you have time to post a long comment on a Yelp review, yet after three…read moreweeks of ignoring my calls and texts, you still can't take a moment to explain what's going on to me directly. That alone shows the type of person you are and how you treat your customers. I have screenshots of our entire conversation that I'll be attaching so everyone can see the lies you're telling. I have never gotten hostile with you I've been patient and sure I was bothered by you changing the story line every hour I have not once yelled or been unprofessional with you like I said I have all our chat history for everyone to see for themselves and see how you are just making up things to make yourself look better. To start, I told you from the beginning that I did NOT want to replace the axle. The boot just torn, and it didn't need replacing-- even Toyota recommended simply rebooting it since my truck only has 15k miles. So I'm not sure why you're lying and changing the story now. The boot and axle were both inspected by Toyota before hand they said I should just replace the boot as soon as i got a chance. As It can fully tore and grease could leak out so I've had it sitting since then to play it safe so you saying the axle was already worn is just a straight up lie. You even said being it's a new truck you shouldn't have to replace the whole axle when you showed up. As for the lug nut, I never gave you permission to damage it like you're claiming. I came outside and you were already hammering on it, struggling to take the key off. You told me it wouldn't be an issue and that once you reinstalled it, it would come right off with a couple of hammer hits -- which did NOT happen. Good thing I stopped you, because who knows what else you would've damaged. You also installed a $160 aftermarket CV axle that you purchased from O'Reilly. I'll be attaching the screenshot of that as well so everyone can see. And no, you did NOT arrive at my place "near midnight." You arrived at 9:25 PM -- I have proof of that too. The reason you were there until almost midnight was because you destroyed the threading and then sat there for almost an hour and a half trying to figure out how to fix it. I tightened the clamps because you were trying to install the axle exactly how you brought it, with the clamps loose. I told you they weren't going to hold, and you said you couldn't get them any tighter and that it was "fine." So yes, I took it upon myself to fix them because you were trying to take shortcuts to get the job done. For reference, my OEM axle costs $450 after tax from the dealership -- not including install and $70 I also spent on the rebooting kit that was also "thrown away". The one you installed only costs $160. So yes, I have already filed a police report and I am starting a court claim. See you in court. And thanks for showing everyone how you treat your customers.

The first shop told me it was a problem with the mass air flow sensor and tried to charge me to fix it, which didn't feel right to me. So I decided to come here for a second opinion, and I'm really glad I did. The mechanic took the time to properly diagnose the issue and walked me through everything step by step. Within about an hour, he figured out that it wasn't the air flow sensor at all--it was just a blown fuse. That alone saved me a lot of money and potentially from being overcharged elsewhere. What really stood out was the honesty and communication. He explained clearly what went wrong, didn't try to upsell anything, and made sure I understood the situation. On top of that, he even aired up my tires for free, which was a nice touch. Fast, honest, and affordable service like this is hard to find. I'm usually a 1 shop guy, like I enjoyed taking my car to one shop most the time, but was referred to Thomas by a good friend because I was having suspension issues and man I was not disappointed. Thomas and his tech Marcel thoroughly went through the entire rear suspension of my car just find anything loose that would make a creaking sound. At times it seemed like they couldn't find the issue, and instead of just telling me "sorry bud we can't help" they just insisted on trying different things until they managed to help the creaking issue. Too soon to tell that the creaking is completely gone already, but without a doubt will recommend this shop to anybody that needs and vw/Audi help just because the guys that are working there really care about your car and your customer satisfaction! read more

This had been the best experience with an automotive shop. I came to EMD not too long ago to do some work and testing on my vehicle. we ended up taking those tests, and work to a whole new level. They have been very easy to work with, very genuine, responsive, and honest. Unlike other places, taking care of the customer is a must, and they always make sure when customers leave that they are satisfied. They work on cars as if they were there own, and they always make sure the turn around time for any job, is as quick as possible, that way customers are not waiting months if not a year like other places do! Thomas and Tyler have been the best help regarding anything I needed done for my new Mk8 GTI. I was totally new to the platform but they took care of me with any questions and suggestions and I felt super comfortable with leaving my car in their care. I provided the modifications (exhaust, coilovers and wheels/tires) I wanted to have done and they told me that they would do their best in trying to have it dialed in. When i came back later that day, I was blown away at how amazing the car looked and sounded. Would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to have modifications done to their car.
