We were told about a year ago by 2 friends (1 of whom is a very close friend of mine) to take my lady's 2011 Prius to Hybrid Pit for maintenance. One of them got a new motor for their Lexus CT, the other has a fully modified 2010 (?) Prius. The latter said we wouldn't regret going and that Hybrid Pit were experts on all things Prius. They were spot on. She scheduled an oil change one Saturday am and also for them to do a multi-point checkup on a laundry list of maintenance issues that had been pending. Roger and Jerome were super helpful and we appreciated them both. Jerome takes care of the customer service out front and Roger is the main technician as far as I could tell. I really liked how they were very forthcoming as far as their experience with Priuses. Jerome would periodically give us updates while we waited in the waiting room. I liked that. They found that the suspension all around needed changing as the shocks were leaking and one of the front ones had no more rebound to them... They informed us that they had all four shocks in stock if we wanted to replace them and we went ahead with it. Jerome told us as a service center & how they operate, they couldn't in good conscience let us continue driving with the current way the suspension was because it could fail. Roger reiterated that and showed us how bad the old shocks were in a side by side comparison with the new (OEM) one. We appreciated that. It was more money spent that day than initially anticipated but the peace of mind knowing the suspension is now working as it should, with original Toyota parts was in the end worth it. We want to thank Roger and Jerome for their time, information and customer service. They were great and we will be taking her Prius to Hybrid Pit from here on out. read more

A few weeks ago my mom's 2010 Prius started to give off this intermittent buzzing noise, and it would get louder if you pressed on the brakes. Upon simple google search, turns out it is a common point of failure in these gen 3 Priuses - the abs pump/cylinder failure. So much so that there was a recall for it but my VIN wasn't affected for some reason. I heard about hybrid pit through word of mouth. Longo toyota and wondries Toyota gave me quotes ranging $2800+ to fix the issue. Hybrid pit gave me a really fair quote for the job and it included brand new oem parts from Toyota, not a 3rd party knockoff or used parts. The job was done over 2 days and they even cleaned the engine bay, something I'm sure Toyota wouldn't do. In addition, Greg said my coolant was dangerously low and they ran a leak test and refilled the coolant back up, all done out of courtesy. If you need to get suspension work done on your Tesla, take it to Roger and Andrew at Hybridpit and you will be in great hands. Roger the owner is a fellow Model 3 owner himself with a lowered ride. I had them install MPP comfort coilovers and rear control arms on my Model 3 LR AWD. I printed out the instructions just in case because I wanted the MPP specs for the model and he obliged. From the beginning, talking with Roger was chill, I don't know how else to say it. He's a great person to work with. He kept me up to date throughout the day with photos of the work which is above and beyond what other shops will do. Him and Andrew do quality work, torquing to spec, not using a drill gun and just doing it until it's tight. He even provided a free charge which was totally unnecessary. Tesla and the Model 3 are still new so not a lot of people will touch them. Even though a car should be a car, suspensions should all be the same, with a Tesla there's things to be careful about like lifting it and other nuances that I feel having a fellow tech with the vehicle is a plus. Had an excellent experience with Hybrid Pit in Buena Park today with Roger Dodger and Andrew this last weekend. They're byline is Passion with Perfection and they fit that to a T. I set up my appointment through IG, but they have email and phone available also. They were very accommodating and gave a reasonable quote in a short amount of time. I have a Prius that just hit 200k and I haven't had any major work done other than a waterpump replacement so I wanted to make sure my car will last another 200k. I went in and got the EGR cleaning, Engine Coolant change, Inverter Coolant change, Sparks, Eneos Oil change, transmission flush, and the IG famous Oil Catch Can. They actually had two options available to where to mount it and I went with the ignonito mode. Roger sent pics all throughout the day and did a summary at the pickup of the different parts. I have a Gen 3 Prius and wanted to get some preventative maintenance done in hopes of preventing the infamous head gasket failure that is so prevalent in this generation. I had the team at Hybridpit replace my water pump & thermostat, perform their EGR Gold service, and in addition change my brake fluid since I was already there. They even detailed my engine bay for me! I feel their prices are reasonable and they offer a service (EGR cleaning) that no other shops will do. I picked up my car around closing time, and Greg took the time to explain the common issues with this generation as well as answered all my questions without rushing. I've noticed after running through several tanks of gas that my average MPG has gone from 44MPG before service to over 48MPG after getting the work done.
