Apparently they also fix/diagnose hybrid cars here! My prius prime had a warning that "hybrid system malfunctioned" so I was stuck struggling to operate the vehicle for 2 days... The morning of the visit, lo and behold, the error code went away, took it to this shop anyways to see if they can find anything, nothing showed up on the OB2 scanner... They didn't charge me and just told me to monitor and come back if there's any issues, 10/10 for honest people! read more

I didn't get any service done on my Tesla here, BUT I wanted to write a review based on the conversation I had with Dave about my Tesla. I had my Model 3 at the Tesla Service center and I was going to get charged a lot of money for some work. I called Electric City and Dave was able to provide information that helped me make an important decision that saved me some money. I will definitely bring my Tesla here in the future if work needs to be done. read more

I recently had my windshield replaced and a notice came up that a/c climate control was faulty. After reading reviews on Electric City I decided to stop by this morning and ask them about it. Something you can't do easily at a Tesla Service Center. I spoke with David, he ran a quick test and said that it looks like it finally calibrated on its own and should be fine, I asked if he had time to change the air filter and new windshield wipers. He did both while I waited and to top it off he didn't charge me! I really can't say enough how nice he and his crew are, and so helpful. Whenever I need service on my Tesla it will be here. Thanks again David! read more

Great quality service and the price was reasonable. I came in to have the AC system checked today. Another customer came in for the same issue so I knew they have experience. David took the time to explain the condenser issue. No pressure sale. Just straight up honest answers. Thank you for that.. Glad I finally found a reliable Tesla mechanic. I'll definitely come back for the motor oil change. read more

David and his team are ultimate professionals! I had issues with my Tesla and needed a bunch of work. They are knowledgeable with the best prices around! Highly recommend!! read more

Dave is an extremely honest and forthright man. He checks everything instead to see if needs replacement instead of just automatically putting in parts. I've operated my own business for 33 years and Dave and his guys run this business like I run mine. Fantastic work, integrity, and they do exactly what they say they are going to do. Way less expensive than Tesla, but giving you better service. We will definitely come back here for anything the Tesla 3 needs. read more

DO NOT TRUST THEM. They won't hold themselves accountable for issues they can't fix, but will gladly take your money for service fees and anything else, even if your car issue doesn't go away. Cost is not cheaper than going to Tesla Service, so just stick to going to Tesla where you can trust their workmanship. Went in for my Tesla MX AC error repair. They got an aftermarket unit and it sounds like a JET on low or high (HORRIBLE OPTION). And the AC error returned. Notified them and they don't give a shit about reconciling any of it. Asked for a refund on the services charges and would still pay for the faulty part, but they have ghosted me. I wanted to give them a chance, took it back for a second look while I incurred 1 week of rental out of pocket and got the car back with the same issue. Will not be going back for another look. STAY AWAY FROM HERE. read more

I came to Electric City from a referral. I was getting ready to go to Tesla Service Center and max out all my credit cards for an untrustworthy battery. I went to charge my vehicle one day and it notified me that my battery was "unable to charge-charge station not powered check power source." I had just got my car repaired from the shop from being in an accident and was so frustrated when I got this message on my dashboard. I reached out to multiple repair shops and all said they couldn't assist and to reach out to Tesla except Electric City!!!!! I contacted David and everything was seamless and God sent. They had just purchased a 2016 Tesla model S who had a newer battery even though it was a 75 and mine an 85 it was a newer version of my model battery, more powerful and efficient. Not only that the battery had 60k miles on it which was amazing for the year of the car. Now my car has new and younger life . They performed a full evaluation to tell me what exactly was wrong and make sure my 12V battery wasn't faulty. David even addressed additional concerns I had and tried to see if he could fix in addition to my battery. He walked me through the process, was transparent and my car was ready in a few days I couldn't believe it. All for a fraction of what I was about to spend at Tesla just a few days from my appointment!!!!! I'm so happy and tell everyone about Electric City. I will bring all my electric cars and if I get a Hybrid will bring here as-well. read more

Electric City - Malfunction Message - Auto Repair Near Me - Stanton, California

My wife's 2015 Tesla Model S died suddenly. It was showing an issue with the High Voltage battery. Of course the Dealership wanted to charge us $12k for a new battery pack, I started looking for a 3rd party Tesla repair shop and every snap I called did not work on the high voltage battery until finally I found Electric City Tesla repair shop. Cesar was very helpful, and answered all my questions and confirm that they can fix the problem with my battery. I had my vehicle towed 100 miles to their shop and I took them a couple hours to give me a diagnostics and the repair cost 10% of what Tesla was asking for. The next day the repair was complete and I had the car towed back to us. I couldn't be any happier and any more satisfied. I highly recommend this Shop. It was a great experience and I will be recommending them to all my friends who drive Tesla. read more

Amazing service. David and his team solved a lot of problems in a short amount of time. If you have a Tesla this is a great shop. I'll be back for sure. . .Hopefully not soon though! read more

Had a great experience with David working on my Tesla. He replaced the compressor and super manifold, and everything is running perfectly now, AC is cold again and the car feels back to normal. He was honest, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain what was going on without trying to upsell anything unnecessary. You can tell he knows these cars well. Really appreciate the quality work and professionalism. I'd definitely trust him again for future repairs. read more

I cannot express enough gratitude for David and his team. This review comes from a place of deep appreciation after months of struggle and stress. I own a 2017 Tesla Model S 75 and the driver's side (left) door handle had completely failed. Upon reaching out to Tesla, I was quoted an astronomical price: around $1,500-$1,600 just for the single handle, and nearly $3,000 if they insisted on replacing the others. As a single-income household living in California with inflation through the roof, this was simply impossible. I drove with the faulty handle for over six months, feeling completely defeated. I got desperate, but I kept searching, and that's when I found my unicorn: David. From the first contact, David was reassuring. He even offered me tips to check the handle myself, ensuring me that the damage might not be as serious--a true testament to his honesty. When I brought the car in, he quickly diagnosed the deeper issue, which was a bit more involved than I initially thought. The result? David and his young colleague fixed my door handle problem for less than half the price that Tesla was going to charge, and my car is working perfectly! It is so rare to find good-hearted people who won't take advantage of your situation. To top it all off, David even gave me a generous $50 discount--which I truly appreciated. If you are a Tesla owner having any problems, especially with the notorious door handles, you must reach out to David. These guys are awesome, reliable, and run an honest shop. Thank you again, David, and the young man who worked with you, for an absolutely amazing job! read more

Cesar was amazing to work with. My A/C compressor broke down on a very hot day, and he was able to diagnose and fix the issue quickly. The pricing was very fair, and he got everything done in about an hour and a half. Super efficient and honest service -- I highly recommend Cesar if you need help with your Tesla! read more

Came here after seeing their amazing reviews. I had an urgent Tesla Model X repair that rendered my car undriveable. Had to tow to this location. Basically they had to replace my entire cooling and heating system. My compressor completely destroyed everything which was very upsetting. Got a quote here and they were very fair. Much cheaper then Tesla. I also had them replace my onbaord charger and add a yoke steering wheel. Biggest wait was on parts but after parts came they got me all taken care of quick. David was even so kind as to come on his day off to help me get my car as I was moving to central California. I definitely recommend this place and will use them for my future Tesla repair needs. read more

I got my Model S door handle fixed here (it was stuck and wouldnt open) most places wanted to charge me even more than Tesla themselves! David was super communicative! I got there 30 min early and they took me in right away. Very transparent and straightforward. Spent my time talking to him and before you know it, service was done! Finally found my shop for Tesla service! Thanks again guys! read more

This place is amazing! Took my model X to Tesla and they quoted me a huge amount and so I looked around and found Electric City... David is so professional and very knowledgeable and his quote was way more affordable than Tesla! David went above and beyond to fix my problem!! Him and his staff are so nice and super helpful ! Great customer service!! I highly recommend this place for any Tesla or electric car driver! read more

Electric city? More like Gold city! Since the moment I got there to when I picked up my car, it has been easy and very professional. I came in for a Tesla 2021 battery swap since my battery was absolutely fried. I dropped my Tesla at the shop with 150 miles max capacity and returned it back with a fresh battery with a capacity of 230 miles! That's 80 miles more ! I left Electric City with a great impression and highly recommend to Tesla users or any car that needs saving ! Thank you once again Electric City! read more

Electric City - This was before the fix, BMS needed support. - Auto Repair Near Me - Stanton, California

I went to this company when it called itself Hybrid Auto Club. I DID NOT HAVE A GOOD EXPERIENCE!! Among other problems, their guys said they couldn't fix the headlights on my Prius. That I had to take it to the dealership. It took it to Toyota of Redlands and they said all it was was burnt out bulbs! I had to pay $250 for that diagnosis and bulb change. Their incompetent, lazy "mechanics" just didn't want to do the work. It's as simple as that. And they sent me away in the evening to drive up the 18 to the mountains with no headlights!!! read more

I put this review here for people who are debating on taking their Tesla to a Tesla dealership. DO NOT DO IT. I called electric city and they were super nice extremely helpful and on top of all that the price they gave me was insanely affordable. Tesla gave me the biggest headache ever when I took my car there, they overcharged me big time and did not want to help like electric city did. Shout out to David that works at electric city he helped me out and it felt like a family owned spot which it is. hopefully this review helps you not take it to Tesla if you're having issues with your electric car. read more

Avoid This Shop - Deceptive Pricing and Shady Billing Practices I was ready to do both repairs with them until the sketchy behavior started. Initial estimate: $1k-2k (rear) + $3k-4k (front). After $100 inspection, jumped to $5.3k (front) + $2.9k (rear). Red flags: David insisted $600 trunk repair "wouldn't be good enough" for my Tesla lease, pushed $2.9k replacement. After they missed bumper damage ($600), he suddenly said repair would "look just fine" and offered to "make it even at $2.9k." That's $1,200 worth of work for $2,900--when I asked for itemized invoices, he refused and ghosted me, claiming "system doesn't allow it." At pickup, they handed me an invoice for $4.1k. Then printed a SECOND invoice--same $4.1k total but R&R costs, labor, and parts had shifted by hundreds of dollars, plus a mysterious $1,322 "discount" we never received. How do line items change while the total stays identical? Called my mom (an accountant) to review. After nearly 2 hours of them insulting her for asking legitimate questions, they claimed it was "accounting between two shops to avoid double-taxing our deposit"--ironic since they offered $300 cash discount to dodge taxes. Staff contradicted themselves: first said OEM part (explaining scratches), then insisted it was "brand new" when questioned. Found a PDR specialist who did the rear for $600 (vs their $2,900)--excellent work. Also: they're NOT Tesla-certified despite advertising "certified Tesla technicians". Let me begin by first giving you the short version and bottom line. These guys are the real deal! They are amazing at what they do, nothing is too complex for them. Truly skilled. They even make the Tesla service centers look like children. In my situation, I had aftermarket Model S Plaid tail lights installed by SOME OTHER fancy Instagram company in orange county. They claim I had a defective new tail light, didn't follow instructions, didn't know what they were doing , and to top it off they ruined by charge port. I frantically started searching for a aftermarket tesla repair and electrician experts. I came accross these guys when they returned my inquiry first thing in the morning Monday. As soon as I explained my situation and that I can't even charge my car, mayday, help - they didn't even hesitate , Abraham told me don't worry they will resolve it, come on in. I was already relieved and already got a sense of good customer service. They had three big jobs going on but they saw a customer in need and took me in. They figured out the issue down to the core within 1/2 hour to 1 hour. They even showed me where the first installer made errors and had negligence. They then let me leave to get a part from Tesla that only Tesla sells which was damaged by the first installers. I picked up a new set of tail lights , and came back a couple hours later. They finished the job and did it perfectly. I even had the manufacturer of the aftermarket tail light warn me that many installers don't know what they are doing and not to go to them. I put my trust in Electric City without hesitation and I am glad I did. They did a stand up job and even assured me if something goes wrong later to come back. They finished everything within the same day. True confidence, trust, excellent workmanship, and honesty. These kinds of companies don't exist anymore! As I told Abraham, these guys are a God send! It's now 2 days later and everything is working perfectly. To top it off, these guys at electric city had reasonable rates, they didn't try to gouge me or rip me off, let alone try to claim the issue is bigger than it really is. When you come here and get your repairs, upgrades, or retrofit, you will not regret it. I can't say enough good things about these guys. You will see in their shop they are simultaneously working on model S , X and others they have a solid shop and 3 or more guys working at all times. read more

My headlight was out. Tesla service quoted me $1500 to fix it. I took it to these guys and in 5 minutes after actually looking at it they determined that rats had nibbled the wires. They replaced the wires and wrapped all of them with rat repelling tape and were done in like 30-45 minutes. Only 1-200 bucks as i remember. I had my 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid towed to this place because it broke down on me. Long story short, my car was ready within less than a week. I was even given a better deal than the original quote. They have great customer service and I recommend Electric City to anyone with a Tesla or having hybrid issues. In fact I saw a lot of Teslas being repaired there. So far my car is still running fine. I was given 6 months warranty which I hope I won't need it. Thank you David and everyone at Electric City for repairing my car and for great customer service. read more

I wanted to perform a preventive maintenance oil and filter exchange on the drive unit of my 2023 Tesla Model 3 RWW but kept getting runaround just for an estimate from TSC. Found this family owned Electric Vehicle repair shop after frustrating experience with Tesla Service Center (TSC) thru Yelp and it was the best no haggle, no nonsnense experience I've had with any auto repair. They also were able to perform a complete cleaning of the AC condenser/radiator from top to bottom where most DIY tutorials only show to do partiall cleaning only from the top. David was very prefessional and detailed in explaining all the work done, very prompt, and all the staff where very nice. On top of that the price I paid was half what TSC quoted me and they used original Tesla parts. I highly recomend this place, don't waste your time and money at TSC!!!! read more
