This is a long overdue review. Been here 2 times on 2 different occasions. First was for a couple battery blocks for my 07 camry hv. Installed them not even balanced and works great. Sold the car to a family member and is still working awesome. Most recently(within the last month) I had the pleasure of purchasing 2 cylindrical new cell battery units for both my 2011 Lexus CT200H and 2013 Lexus Rx450h. I had the pleasure to deal with Chris the owner, Christian, Ethan, and one other gentleman (can't recall his name)that helped me remove and install complete battery into my Rx450h. All of these guys are so easy to deal with, great communication, and I have no complaints at all. As far as product, I have noticed a significant amount of mpg improvement for each of these vehicles. Anyone that needs a Hv battery for any of their vehicles, I definitely recommend this place. Good, honest, and great value to keep the car going. I can't thank you all enough. Forgot to mention, this place is very clean and organized. They have a nice waiting area, a fridge full of waters and sodas. Also have some nifty pens available to keep as well. read more

Took my car to Electron Automotive on 4/7/25 for an oil change and tire rotation. Cesar was friendly, sodas were a nice touch, and he asked for a positive Yelp review on the spot, which I gave. A year later, walking it back. Invoice never confirmed the oil change. Cesar said they skipped the rotation because my car "didn't need it" but tires should be rotated every 5k and I was due. My car still had OEM tires with wheel locks, and the dealership had neglected to give me the key to remove the tires, which I didn't know at the time. Bad on the dealer, bad on Electron, they almost certainly noticed and could've flagged it instead of the brush-off. Months later I had a blowout and couldn't change the tire because of that missing key. Would've saved me from being stranded. Friendly staff, mystery oil change, phantom rotation. read more

I brought my 2017 Chevy Bolt EV in for an AC issue based on a recommendation, and I'm really glad I did. I worked with Ethan, who was extremely nice and friendly throughout the whole process. He took the time to clearly explain what was needed for the repair, broke down the different options I had, and made sure I understood everything without any pressure. They finished the car right when they said they would, which was a big plus. As an added bonus, Ethan even gave me a ride near my house since he was heading that way anyway -- that kind of customer service is rare these days. Overall, a smooth and professional experience. I highly recommend Electron Automotive (and Ethan specifically) if you need work done on your EV or hybrid. read more

I have never had such a postive experience dealing with extensive car repairs! Usually, this calls for tears and stress. Instead, I had a jubilant, calm, amazing experience. Christian and Ethan are outstanding and kind! Their care to their customers shines through. The waiting area was very beautiful and calm. Usually car repair shops are dirty and loud. This amazing shop has a calming water fountain, a comfortable couch, wonderful old timey music like Etta James. I will absolutely go back for further repairs for my Prius V, named Priscilla. She even got new bling! read more

I brought my car here to get looked at. They told me it required an engine swap that they could do for around $7k. Luckily my friend said his mechanic would look at my car. My friend's mechanic realized I was driving with no oil in my car (LOL) thats why it was acting strange. So I did the $120 oil change on my car and now it's running fine. I'm just not sure why electron wouldn't check the oil during the diagnostic. No shade but I'm confused shouldn't that be one of the first things they check. I'm not even trying to be rude just leaving an honest review for potential new clients thinking of using this mechanic shop. 1 star because they looked at my car again after the diagnostic came up okay the first time and 1 star for having complimentary sodas. The guys that helped me were very nice too read more

Christopher and Nathan took care of me again last week when I took my prius to replace the abs system totally

Brought in my 2017 Kia Niro with 97k miles for a paid inspection with the idea that if there were any issues covered under Kia's 100k powertrain and hybrid warranties I could bring in a 3rd party to advocate for me with the dealer. Or if there were major issues to expect down the road, I could look into getting a new car instead of fixing this one. Ethan V. greeted me on his lunch break but made sure to listen to why I was there and gave me an idea of how long the wait would be and what to expect. Fortunately the car had a nearly clean bill of health. That is to be expected because I kept up with regular maintenance on the car. But they did recommend a few items to address to extend the useful life of the car: (1) Control Arms and Bushings had moderate wear, (2) my second set of tires had 3mm of tread, (3) the cabin air filter was a little worse for wear. My main concern, and why I brought it to this shop, was for hybrid red flags like battery issues. As Ethan explained to me, without taking apart the hybrid battery, it would not be possible to give a comprehensive health check for it. But since there were no error codes that came up that would indicate a problem with the hybrid system, the battery was still in good condition. He mentioned an anecdote of other Niros he's seen that that had 200k with the original battery to allay my concerns. He mentioned that I should also consider replacing the spark plugs probably due the mileage of the car. After giving me an estimate on what the cost would be if I decided to have them work on the issues, he said he could apply the paid inspection cost on the work if I decided to proceed in the next 30 days. Overall I had a great first visit with Electron and would consider returning if I decide to move forward with the recommended upkeep repairs. read more

Brought my 2024 Prius LE in for a pre-trip inspection before a long road trip. Ethan was friendly, professional, and took great care of me. The shop even reattached a loose heat shield under my car using spare clips! Super thorough, honest service. Highly recommend Electron Automotive to any hybrid owner! read more

Did not hesitate to do an inspection and tell me what was wrong with my car. He told me when my car can be ready and my estimate. Actually it was done a day sooner than expected. Received and installed new cylindrical cells in our 2013 Prius. This is our third time we've bought and installed cells to keep our Prius on the road. Always ordered from Electron. SUPER GREAT COMPANY to deal with. Lightning fast delivery, amazing DIY videos that make install a piece of cake. This place is just the best. When you live in Hawaii, you're at the mercy of the local Prius dealer. Electron makes owning and servicing a Prius affordable and reliable. Thanks Electron. Customers for life. read more

Super happy with this shop! I called the store and spoke with Ethan who took a lot of time to answer my questions about a hybrid battery replacement for my Highlander. Found out that this place would save us a ton over Toyota or our regular mechanic and their batteries are warrantied for 3 years instead the 1 year that comes with OEM battery. I was going to DIY it at first but their labor to install it was also a great price so it just made sense to have them do it. Quick turn around since we ordered the battery ahead of time. They were not pushy/obnoxious about the complete inspection/add-ons. Overall super happy and would highly recommend. read more

I had one of the best experiences here at Electron Automotive and will 100% be back for any future hybrid issues I ever have. If there was anyone I'd recommend to help make the process of repair that much less of a hassle, I'd recommend Ethan. He helped me understand my hybrid battery more, as well as giving me timely updates on the diagnosis of the car and fix. The value of their knowledge and experience is top tier. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to service their hybrid or electric vehicle. read more

Needed a new 12v battery on my electric car, it was surprisingly difficult to find an auto shop with experience in replacing these on electric cars. Had a great experience at Electron, Ethan was upfront and straightforward with pricing. They're really easy to communicate with. They also inspected the entire car and gave me a report which was great to have. Would definitely come back for other service. read more

I brought my 2000 Land Cruiser to Ethan at Electron automotive and they did a great job in figuring out my electrical issue The dealer cannot figure it out after I brought it to them to diagnose numerous times. Problem fixed and now I can relax without the check engine lights showing on my dashboard. They don't just do electrical vehicles, but they also look at your vehicles that have code issues. Great customer service and would bring any of my vehicles with electrical issues back to them in the future. Steve read more

From our first inquiry to the end with a completed installation of the reconditioned hybrid battery bank we had a fabulous experience working with the Electron Automotive crew. Chis and Ethan gave us their time and valuable suggestions for replacing the 2006 Hybrid battery on our remote island. They promptly returned all of our calls and took time to explain the process and what we needed when we visited the shop. I had thought this car was beyond repair due to our remote location outside the US and lack of experienced mechanics. It is back in working order and we are very pleased with the results. We highly recommend buying a reconditioned battery from Electron Automotive. Cecilia read more

Electron Automotive is top tier! I was in an multiple car accident on the freeway and since my cars an EV it locked itself into changing shifts (safeswitch) and I called these guys up and asked them if they can fix the issue. I spoke to Josh and he said to send him pictures of the damage to see if it's possible in which I did. They called me back and said to get it towed here and in about a little over a day they got it to work perfectly. They even recommended a few body shops to get the repairs as well. Top notch service. Would recommend these guys to others! The pictures below are just a reference to see if you any potential customers want to see an example of what they could work with. read more

Run!!!! Seriously! Christian told me to bring my Chevy Volt in and it would be a $150 Diagnostics fee. I drove 20 miles in afternoon traffic. They would tell me why the car was not charging. Bait and Switch! I arrive and he would ONLY do the diagnostics AFTER he did a "Bumper to Bumper" inspection! I have no interest in having people go all through my car when Nothing is wrong but the AC charging! He claimed it was a Liability issue. Never in my 61 years has anyone required such an invasive inspection simply to check one issue! read more

TL;DR Fair and honest business that isn't pushy. Very knowledgeable with hybrids and will tell you what's good/bad with your car. Caesar and the team rocked! I was late to my appointment, but they still accommodated me well and got me out in a timely manner. I found them through Yelp and through online car forums that specialized in hybrid vehicles. Their customer service and care for their clients is top class, as we can see from their replies here on Yelp. That's what ultimately got me in the door. I brought in a 2006 Prius that I just got from a friend. My friend took pretty good care of it, but I just wanted to get a professional to take a look at it in case there was anything that needed to be replaced. They recommended a general check up ($100) and after about 60-90 minutes, they came back with a pretty good list of what's in the green/yellow/overdue maintenance/red. They weren't pushy and were very helpful with answering any questions they had. The price for the check up could also go towards a service that they offer so I opted to do the throttle body maintenance ($199). Awesome job all around, and gave me peace of mind. Overall, seems like an honest business that are very knowledgeable when it comes to cars, especially electric cars. 10/10 would recommend. read more

In June of 2024, I took my Volt to Electron because it was having a problem, they were going to charge me a $1000.00 to fix a problem that was covered by General Motor warranty. When I discovered it and brought it to their attention, they charged me $149.00 . They charge is not the problem, The problem is that they were going to charge me a $1000 for a job they should have known was covered under extended warranty by General Motors, after all they claim to be the experts. read more

2014 Chevy Volt. Dreaded service high voltage system check engine light. Shop knew exactly what was causing this issue. Dealerships wanted 225.00 to troubleshoot and then possibly another 500.00 for repair. Electron automotive immediately stated it needed the newest software revision and that would solve my continued service high voltage system check engine light. Low and behold it has been 3 weeks and vehicle is running great with no more issues. Highly recommend this shop for any hybrid/electric vehicle repairs. It is difficult to find honest work in automotive repair, but we found it at Electron. Great product, much less expensive than dealer for a prius hybrid battery and the product is better than many cut rate competitors

Absolutely the best place for a hybrid battery! After doing some homework plus watching some YouTube videos. The brand new cylinder hybrid battery is the way to go for my Generation 3 Prius. Great price, service, and my high mpgs are back. No more P0A80 code. Walk into the shop, and they answered all my questions. Like warranty, power core refund, etc. I placed an order and waited less than a week for them to get it ready. Once I got the new hybrid battery, it took me 2-3 hours, and that's it. Test drove and check for code. Did one reset and back in business smooth sailing. 10 of 10 customer service, product and they work on all type of cars as well. Highly recommend and thank you, Electron Automotive! read more

I had to replace my hybrid battery and my front brakes. So I have a story for you. I needed to get my control arms changed as they were worn down. The initial part with the MOOGS was quoted at a higher price. I asked to see if I could get the OEMs cause I like to keep critical parts OEM as much as possible. Later that day, I get a call from Electron. And told me that the OEMs were actually cheaper. They didn't have to tell me that the OEM part is $209 cheaper for control arms. But they did, and that's why I trust them. They're transparent, and honest about their service. That's why I trust Electron above anyone else. read more

I had a weird electrical issue where at first my front passenger + rear driver's side windows were going up/down intermittently and at the same time from a switch. I tried replacing the switch and motors but didn't fix the issue. About a week later i got some lights on my dash and the check engine light indicated a high value for throttle input (electrical problem). My usual mechanic said they don't troubleshoot electrical issues so i searched for "auto electric" and was very lucky to find Electron Automotive. From the moment i got there Caesar was extremely friendly and courteous and took the car in to see what is going on. He said we would call me with more info a few hrs later and was true to his word. The shop ended up needing a couple of days to find all the issues but he kept me updated with texts and calls and explained what they discovered at every step. It turned out that i had 2 problems: 1) wires being pinched and cut at the door jam was causing the power window issues 2) a rodent had nested into my engine bay and was chewing on other wires causing the check engine lights Caesar explained everything in detail fixed the problems and offered tips for keeping rodents away in the future. I couldn't be happier with the service and reasonable prices. Thanks Caesar and Electron Team. You'll be my go to shop for any future electrical issues with my cars. read more

Hi Yelpers, I found this repair center on Yelp. I had a 12 volt battery that was going out on me causing me to jump my car in the morning before work. Instead of going to the dealership, I went to Electron that specializes in hybrids. The Hyundai Ionic Plug In Hybrid requires a special 12 volt battery and they were able to get on for me in one day. Too be really honest I read all the good reviews and some of the bad ones but overall I'm very happy with the service I got from Christian the service advisor. I also got a detailed report with pictures on my car for things I need to do down the road. I look forward to working with Christian again and hopefully making this car go a LONG time. I commute 160 miles from Victorville to Santa Ana everyday and I'm sure something will happen as my car gets older. I highly recommend you make an appointment because this is a very busy service center. They have lots of cars coming in for service daily. JUST FYI. The facility is clean and the people who work there are nice and also clean. FYI I work at a truck dealership so I know when there is a good service center and a bad one. Lastly pricing is not the cheapest on earth but very reasonable for certified technicians they use. Very reasonable! Thank you Christian! read more

They proposed that the initial judgment was to replace the $800 accessories. After the replacement, the problem still existed. I asked for a refund of the fee, but they refused. The reason for the refusal was that I agreed. So, don't hand over your car to a car repair shop with inexperienced maintenance, let alone a car repair shop that cannot take responsibility. Unfortunately, I was hit by two situations at the same time. read more

These guys are awesome. Jose helped me set up an appointment right away for our Tesla Model X and walked me thru the whole process. Few independent shops will touch a Tesla and I needed another opinion on some suspension repairs Tesla recommended.
