BEWARE: DISHONEST; WILL DESTROY YOUR WIRING TO TEMPORARILY "FIX" YOUR AC…read more I came in April 2023 looking for a trustworthy shop to fix my AC. It would go out intermittently and not blow cold air. The owner told me that it was a "simple relay issue" and presented my car back to me with it blowing ice cold air. He told me to keep the AC always on for the first couple of weeks just to help the airflow. Since that time, I continued to have issues where the AC would still go out and stop working. I also inherited more issues: cold vapor of air flowing through the vents even when AC is not turned on. White flakes sometimes came through, as if it was snowing in my car. Unfortunately, I did not have money to keep taking it back to get fixed, so I deal with it. Fast forward to 2026, I take my car to Seiko's auto shop in Monrovia to finally address the AC issue before another summer season hits. To my surprise, they let me know that the previous shop I took my car to (SWIFTGIRL AC AUTO) has completely jerryrigged the wiring. They had my AC compressor set to always be turned on even when it's not actually on (now the owner's "airflow" instruction makes sense!... load of BS!!) The temperature of the AC was reading as 15 degrees when normally should be at 40 degrees. This explains the cold vapor of air and snowflakes. It was so cold that it made an ice block in my car and prevented airflow from coming through. I had to pay thousands to get this problem diagnosed, re-do ALL the wiring that Swiftgirl messed up, and then pay more to finally get to the bottom of the original cause of the AC problem. DO NOT trust this shop!!!! If you don't know much about cars, they will not be the ones to do honest work! THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU. They will purposely mess up your car and give you a temporary fix to make it seem like it's working just to take your money. Shame on this business and everyone associated with it. Anyone who has recently gotten their AC fixed by Swiftgirl, I HIGHLY recommend to take it somewhere else and double check your wiring before you end up with a bigger problem like I did.

They were super responsive with the best customer service I've ever encountered, clear communication and consistent follow-up throughout the entire process. I originally brought my car in after getting a warning to stop immediately. I called around and got multiple quotes and they had the best deal. Andrew who answered the phone was incredibly friendly and correctly diagnosed it as a battery issue right away. He walked me through the difference between a refurbished and new battery and I chose the refurbished option which came with a one year warranty. Unfortunately the battery failed shortly after but never in my life have I experienced customer service like this. They offered to pick up my car and drop off a loaner. That alone is exceptional. Owner Ivan took full responsibility without hesitation and the turnaround time was phenomenal. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. I don't live nearby but I will absolutely be coming back for all future service. They really take pride and joy in making sure that everything is done well and will provide a solution with the utmost customer service.

These guys were, first of all, very responsive on the phone. They were proactive in communication and very accommodating with dropoff and pickup times. I brought my car in because it was behaving very strangely, all kinds of scary engine system warning lights flashing, odd noises when driving. I expected whatever was wrong to be thousands of dollars. Instead it was an incredibly easy and relatively cheap fix. They recommended me some other services that I hadn't performed in too long (changing the cabin air filter, etc) and offered me a good price for those too. They kept in good communication with me throughout and were always happy to explain the work. The work took one day. They let me bring my car in the evening before so that I didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn...spectacular! After I picked it up, it was still making some odd creaking and scraping noises, so I called them a couple of days later to ask about it. They had me bring the car back in the and spent maybe 10-15 minutes figuring out what was going on, while I waited. Turned out to be some improperly attached protective bit of the undercarriage (not their fault - i think this was the fault of the previous mechanic who had installed it), which they spent a further 10 minutes adjusting and then... voila! No more noise! They didn't even charge me for this extra work and sent me on my way a completely satisfied customer! They even helped me change my windshield wiper blades, which I was having trouble with due to a broken piece on the old ones. Outstanding customer service. Kindness, expert knowledge and incredibly trustworthy energy in every interaction, with every person I talked to. These guys know their stuff and they are honest and straightforward. A real gem in the auto repair industry. We are lucky to have them here in the valley.

Anyone who builds off-road vehicles knows that finding the right shop is a niche and personal choice--you want a team you can trust with your rig. I had originally received a quote from a shop in San Diego, but when I realized there was a shop right here in my own backyard in Burbank, I wanted to try and keep my business local. I reached out and sent them the itemized list of work from the previous shop to see what they could do. What followed was some of the most unprofessional behavior I've ever experienced. The guy who called me back came out swinging, practically yelling at me over the phone. He was incredibly defensive, snapping, "Just so you know, we are $275 an hour for labor, and I see you cut this invoice out from someone else's estimate. We are more expensive than them." He sounded deeply insecure and visibly furious that a customer would dare to shop around for the best fit. He later left a voicemail asking me to call back. When I did, a different guy answered the phone and spoke to me like I was a debt collector harassing him. When I answered his question about who I was looking for and our previous conversation, he rudely interrupted me mid-sentence, blurting out, "OKAY, WELL I HAVE ANOTHER CALL SO..." and literally just trailed off into silence. I just hung up. Why would I ever let people who treat human beings this way get anywhere near my vehicle? How does a business survive operating like this? I had a $12,000 job ready to go for tire replacements, a suspension overhaul, front bumper replacement, roof rack and heavy maintenance work. Instead of securing a massive project, these clowns let their egos and hostile communication skills ruin the transaction. Out of principle, take your hard-earned money and your rig somewhere else. Go to a shop where people actually practice basic kindness, respect, and professional communication. The way this entire crew came across was like a bunch of snakes. Save yourself the headache and go to another off-road establishment. And know that this place charges an hourly labor rate of $275 an hour.

I recently visited United Hybrid to get my Chevy Volt checked out, and I couldn't be more impressed with the experience. Let us know all the routes we can take and always communicated to us what each part and labor costs (even included pictures of the what needed to be replaced and explained why) and always asked approval before moving forward with anything. They were beyond reasonable in pricing every step of the way and very well organized. We picked up the car and everything was done exactly as expected, the price was exactly what he had quoted us and what we had approved (unlike other shady shops who tack things on later). Much appreciated everything David did for us and already told any of my friends that have EVs that they need to go to this shop. Will be coming back in the future if we need anything else.
