    Box 1 - not reinforced
    Sierra L.

I installed the Cali Raised 4Runner Interior Rear Molle Complete Kit. While the design is functional and the finished look is clean, there are several areas where this product falls short, especially for the price point and the brand's reputation. Packaging: The kit arrived in two separate boxes, each sealed with just a two thin strip of paper tape down the center. The corners and seams weren't reinforced, and both boxes showed signs of tearing and splitting during transit. These are heavy metal components shipped in basic cardboard, and metal wins every time. It makes no sense to pack something this bulky, shifty in the box and weighty with such minimal protection. The boxes should've been reinforced to minimize the shifting in transit, edge-taped, for reinforcement and prepped for the load. The first issue started before I even received and opened the boxes. Missing Hardware: The kit was missing five Allen screws (2 sizes). I contacted customer service, (they wanted a count of screws) but given the already long wait time for fabrication and shipping, waiting again wasn't practical, especially with everything has been laid out for installation. I had to make a trip to the hardware store and buy replacements, which of course weren't black to match the rest of the hardware. For the price, proper quality control should ensure every piece is included, and that the packaging used is appropriate for the product weight and contents. Fitment Issues: Once I began the install, I noticed the left and right Molle panels didn't fit the same. The left side had about a half-inch gap, while the right side had no clearance, which caused it to rub against the interior paneling. I had to apply thick felt along the contact edges to prevent damage. This kind of uneven fit makes the system feel like a workaround rather than a precision-built product. Hardware Loosening: The Allen screws don't stay tight. They come loose not just from off-roading but during normal daily driving. I've found them rolling around in the back of my 4Runner more than once. I'm not using thread locker because I need the shelves to be removable but I shouldn't have to choose between flexibility and functionality. Constantly retightening these screws is frustrating and unacceptable for a premium product. Noise & Vibration: As a prior military member, I practice noise discipline and I made sure every piece of gear in my vehicle was strapped down and secured. Despite that, the Molle system rattles squeaks loudly over bumps and turns. The metal-on-metal clanking, rubbing is constant and distracting. I installed thick felt padding at multiple contact points to reduce the noise, but this should've been addressed at the design level. Rubber-dipped or pre-coated contact points would eliminate this entirely. Other Notable Notes: * The second shelf is cumbersome to remove and reinstall, especially if you need quick flexibility. * The unit is heavy, and you'll need two people for installation or removal. * The extension bolts on both sides are brushed nickel, not black like the rest of the system. I wrapped them in black electrical tape to match the hardware and prevent scratches to my interior. * I attempted to mount the upper shelf at the highest position to retain rear window visibility when not storing gear, but the design doesn't allow that. It's a missed opportunity from a safety perspective -- rear visibility matters. Bottom Line: The Cali Raised Rear Molle Kit is a solid concept with rugged visual appeal, but it feels more like a beta version than a finished product. Between poor packaging, missing hardware, uneven fitment, hardware that loosens during daily use, and avoidable noise issues, it takes DIY effort to make this kit work properly and safely. If Cali Raised tightens up quality control, reinforces shipping materials, resolves vibration issues, and standardizes finishes, this could easily be a 5-star product. As it stands, it's a 3-star experience that requires time, patience, and creative fixes to bring it up to

Been going here for the past year as I am slowing make mods to my 2024 Tacoma. They get me in quick and always do a great job. Highly recommend coming here for gear and/or installation of new gear.

My experience at Cali Raised Offroad was great! I was looking to put bigger tires on my 4Runner, and Morgan took the time to walk me through my options and understand what was best for my vehicle without upselling me. Throughout the entire process he was responsive to my questions and gave me honest answers. This was invaluable as I was looking for someone who knew their way around a 4Runner with KDSS. I ended up getting Bilsteins in the front and rear, Elevate upper control arms, and Falken Wildpeak 275s on. The work was done in a few hours and the vehicle looks great! Even after the initial installation Morgan has continued to be helpful with additional questions I have. As I continue to build out my 4Runner, I will 100% be taking it back to Cali Raised Offroad for future work.

First experience at Cali Raised Offroad was at their President's Day Blowout Sale. Morgan and his team were very knowledgeable and more than willing to help me out. Even with a long line, they took their time to explain things to me, as I'm new to the off-road/overland scene. I highly recommend coming here for your needs, as I will definitely be back for more 4Runner parts.

Had a GREAT experience with Morgan. I would recommend to anyone looking to upgrade their equipment. Very knowledgeable, straight forward, and honest. I was ready to spend a lot of $$$ for something I didn't need. He easily could have just let me do it, but took the time to explain all of my options and did so with integrity. He has my business as long as he wants it...

Owen and the rest of the team did a great job on my 2022 Bronco. They were very helpful in offering choices and answering questions, and did a great job on the install. 315/70/17 BFG KO2s Method 305s, 17inch, +25mm 1.5 Inch Fabtech Level Crash bars removed + ReadyLift Intrusion Beams installed

Really want to thank Morgan at Cali Raised Offroad. I had rushed buying into tires and wheels on my 23 Tundra and I wanted to keep the 18's but add new tires. I also needed to have my grill swapped, spacer lift for new tires as well as airbags for towing. Morgan took a lot of his time and patience and made sure he thoroughly understood what my needs were and even recommended spending less until I knew for sure what my long term game plan was. Although my truck primarily resides in Idaho or Oregon- I will only bring my truck to these guys from here on out. Thanks Morgan!!!

However, I followed up a couple weeks later asking if a certain date worked. I even explained that I had been busy and said the only time I'd have to bring in the car would be the following week. I paid $450 for this wrap and an extra $100 for the wrap itself. When the first job was done poorly, I went back to the shop to address the issues and they said they would fix it. I texted on a Tuesday expecting a response, and I waited until Sunday to follow up again. Instead of Lisa taking accountability, she told me I "did not reach out," which is extremely unprofessional and untrue. I had apologized for being busy, and I did reach out; she just did not respond. When I reminded her the job was poorly done and how there had been no response, she took zero accountability and tried to use my words against me. Lisa ignored my response when I explained how the situation should have been handled and how she failed to reply in a professional manner. As the customer, I should not have to teach someone how to treat me correctly or how to run a shop professionally. I wasn't trying to start problems; I stated the truth about the situation, but she did not like that. I went back because I had already paid and just wanted the work corrected. I dropped my car off again on Monday around 11:30am. The shop texted me claiming the wrap "wouldn't adhere," which I knew was an excuse. I told them to proceed because the material was fine, and if they couldn't install it, that was their shop's error. The rest of my car's wrap was perfectly fine. To double-check, I contacted the previous shop, who confirmed this shop was making excuses, saying, "The wrap sticks just fine. It sticks on the rest of your car fine. They're talking nonsense." I knew they no longer wanted to service me, and I no longer wanted their service either. I paid a good amount of money for this treatment. I made sure the job would get done. The shop told me the job would be done by Wednesday late afternoon. This was the second time they confirmed a deadline and failed to meet it. I made it clear from the start that I have a busy schedule and cannot afford delays, yet they did not respect that. Removing and rewrapping a front bumper is a 1-2 day job, it is not like I was asking to wrap half the car. I set a boundary that if it was not ready by 5pm Wednesday, as they confirmed, I would request a refund. My whole car was wrapped, had parts added, brakes caliper color change, and badges blacked out in about a week. I took it to another shop before taking it here. (Dependable Guys in Santa Ana) I am not a professional, but I am not stupid. There were no photo updates either, I had to ask for them. When they finally sent a picture, the wrap looked freshly slapped on two days after I dropped the car off. The day I dropped it off, they said the wrap did not adhere. It looked like my car sat there for two days until I asked for the photo, or it took them two days to remove a month old wrap and throw on one big piece lol.. My car is a small sedan, a CLA, not a supercar or SUV. Her words were: "Ok we will remove all the wrap and give you your money back. Come and pick it up today." She added, "You are demanding the refund so come get it. We cannot accommodate the time frame for you. Thank you we will be gone by 5 so please make it in time so we can process the refund." However, Mark (the installer) had reached out to me and told me him and his co worker would come into work early to finish the job. This was the second time they broke their own deadline, and instead of taking accountability, she tried to flip it back on me. Lisa took everything personally when this situation should have been handled with professionalism. I never asked them to remove my wrap; I just wanted the job done properly. The installer Mark was professional, but Lisa was disrespectful, dismissive, and extremely immature in how she handled the situation. I told them to leave the wrap and keep the money. This was their mistake, which took up the free time I rarely have. Even after I explained my situation, reminded them of prior mistakes, and was patient with the delays, they still couldn't get the job done on time. I didn't want or need the money back; I needed my car back lol. It was clear they didn't take me seriously, and I was forced to escalate this further, which she didn't like either. This was waste of time and caused unnecessary stress. I was frustrated because I had to deal with unprofessional and immature behavior. All I got were excuses, missed deadlines, and poor communication. This business does not stand on its word or its service. Don't bring your car here. Many shops in OC offer far better service and professionalism. I recommend Dependable Guys in Santa Ana! It turns out the wrap sticks just fine and clearly they were making excuses... 3 weeks no issues.

Project Import is one of those rare shops. What separates them isn't just the quality of the work, it's the level of thought that goes into every decision. They don't just ask what problem you're trying to solve today; they ask where you want the car to be years from now and build accordingly. Every recommendation is made with the long-term goal in mind. I've brought them some complicated issues on my 1JZ-swapped E30, and at every step they've been realistic, honest, and incredibly meticulous. If something needs attention, they'll tell you. If something doesn't need to be replaced, they'll tell you that too. No upselling, no shortcuts, no guessing. Just real diagnostics and real solutions. What I appreciate most is that they refuse to take the easy route if it's not the right route. A lot of shops will get a car out the door as quickly as possible. Project Import takes the time to do things properly the first time. In the long run, that actually makes their work a bargain because you're not paying another shop to redo it six months later. Their fabrication, attention to detail, and workmanship are top-notch, but honestly the biggest value is the trust. When they tell me something, I believe it. When they recommend a path forward, I know it's because it's the best solution for the car, not because it's the most profitable solution for them. At this point, I won't take my cars anywhere else.
