Din din we ordered: Fresh Spring Rolls---I like the concept of having the chicken and shrimp togehter as one, but the chicken was really REALLY dry, so dry I had to literally take the pieces out! Fried Organic Tofu--- I didn't try it, but from the looks they were really big pieces so that's always a plus Orange Chicken- for the kiddos, who ate it up.. Lookedl ike a pretty large porton too. Salmon with Basil Sauce---- This was my favorite dish... The sauce was yummy on my rice, but not spicy at all. Maybe bc I went with caucasians and kids, but I had to literally drench my food with their side spices. Pad See You with Veggies--- Pretty decent, neither great nor bad... But just average. I love noodles so you really gotta put something in there in order to get the WOW factor outta me. 3 Stars------ you wanna know why..... The food is delicious and is very authentic, it tastes as if you're eating in Thailand as I've been traveling to Thailand for 25 years so I know what authentic thai food tastes like. The staff is friendly and efficient. The portion size is also large so I can make two meals out of each entree which is great value. This is the best thai food I've ever had in the US as I've tried dozens of thai restaurants throughout the Bay Area and this is the ONE I would recommend to any family or friends. read more

A very nice shopping center that holds many different eateries and without even knowing, this little thai spot would be overlooked as many times as I have in the past. The three of us ordered the Mieng Kum, Yellow Curry (w/chicken), Pad Thai, and the Chicken Cashew Nut to share. The food came out to be very delicious though the service was a little mixed. The server brought out our food with one hand as he was on the phone with the other which me and another found that a little inappropriate and rude. The Pad Thai was ok, but not the best I've had. I'll give the place a little credit since it's probably the only decent place around according to the friend that suggested the place. Anything better would've required us to travel a lot further. Location wise, Sri-Thai is hard to beat since its short walk from the Regal Cinema at Hacienda Crossings and there's a huge parking lot. The restaurant looks clean inside with white tablecloths, a flatscreen TV, and a pretty full house on a Saturday night. Foodwise, the flavors were pretty strong - and you do get that Thai combo of heat from the chilis followed by the balancing sweet aftertaste. Food came out pretty quickly, but service was sporadic - the waiter who took our order refilled our waters, although the waitress seemed less attentive. The tom ka (coconut-based soup with mushrooms and choice of shrimp, chicken or tofu) had some serious intense flavors which I liked, although my wife found it a bit on the thick and starchy side. The two entrees we ordered included chicken eggplant and the south sea. The chicken eggplant featured pieces of ground chicken with sautéed eggplants, red peppers, and a generous (maybe too generous) portion of spicy, savory sauce. The south sea was a sizzling seafood platter with squid, green mussels, scallops, and more eggplant. Eggplant was cooked perfectly for both dishes and had the color and texture that we like. The chicken dish was a bit too saucy and the seafood dish could have benefited from more seafood over veggies and perhaps adding shrimp or fish. We ended the meal with dessert - coconut ice cream with fried bananas, a quintessential Thai dessert to cleanse the palate, especially on a 90-deg day. The dish came with a single scoop of ice cream drizzled with honey and two fried egg rolls filled with banana. The ice cream was wonderful but the egg roll thing was just weird - it was "hard" and required some chew through the skin in order to reach the banana. Not sure if we would come back here next time we're in the neighborhood. There's another Thai place nearby also that seems to get busy in the Ulferts Center off Hacienda. read more

Sri-Thai has a pretty good menu selection as well as some Chef's Specials. I opted for a Chef Special and ordered the Spicy Fried Red Snapper with Sweet & Sour Sauce. It wasn't very "spicy", but they definitely poured a lot of sweet & sour sauce on it. It was delicious though! Comes with a little bit of cabbage on the side as well. Would definitely recommend. It's a little on the pricier side, but you get a big portion! (Especially if you're ordering rice or noodles) If you order an entree, rice is another additional charge. $1.50 for a bowl of steamed rice, $3.00 for brown rice. Restaurant is nice and low-key. Pretty clean and made for an enjoyable dinner. There's also a TV in the restaurant, so we half of us sitting on the side that can see the TV were distracted by the news that came on every so often. They were also nice enough to help us split the check 5 ways, so it would be easier for us. You can also order take-out and pick it up at the restaurant! Nice service, no doubt. Yum food! This restaurant was located next to Starbucks in the Hacienda Crossings shopping center in Dublin, CA. I went for lunch and was handed a lunch menu. There were appetizers, noodle dishes, rice dishes, and curry. I was disappointed that there were no salads on the lunch menu. I ordered the Spicy Prawns which included soup and salad. The entrée came in less than 5 minutes and about 30 seconds after the soup arrived. The soup was Egg Drop Soup (Chinese). I didn't eat it because I wanted to eat my entrée while it was still hot. The Spicy Prawns entrée was described as sautéed prawns with string beans in a spicy coconut sauce. There were more sliced carrots than string beans. There were 6 prawns, not butterflied and with the tails on. The prawns were warm and tasted like they were thrown in the sauce already cooked rather than sautéed in the sauce. The flavor of the coconut sauce had good flavor. The iceberg lettuce salad was on the same plate as the rice and prawns and was drown in sauce from the entrée. It would have been nice to have the salad in a separate dish or have the Spicy Prawns in a bowl. I liked the Spicy Tray that the server brought me. There were 4 kinds of chilis which made my dish Thai Hot. Next time I'll try the Vietnamese restaurant which is hidden near Fuddrucker's. read more

Thanks to you good yelpers, I picked this spot for my dad's birthday dinner. It's right next to the theater and makes a convenient location for dinner and a movie. Was I happy with my choice? Yes! Were the picky Chinese parents' happy with my choice? Yes! Was the atmosphere good enough? Yes! Service 'aight? Yes! I suggest you start with the Som Tum papaya salad. It's just the right amount of sweet, tangy and spice to tease our appetites. The main dishes were all really good too. Oh, the best thing is... The texture of the chicken is absolutely disgusting and we have to ask for extra sauce whenever we get phad Thai otherwise it's dry and flavorless. This place is pretty darn good for being in a movie theatre "strip mall." It is consistently recommended to me by people I know. Portion sizes are very good compared to the usual ones I get at other Thai restaurants. Food seems flavorful and authentic in my novice opinion. I have only been at lunchtime and the service has been good and not too crowded. I imagine it's a whole different ballgame for dinner on Fridays or Saturdays being so close to the movie theatre. I can't believe that I never reviewed this place. It is my favorite Thai restaurant in the Pleasanton/Dublin area and Thai food is my favorite cuisine. We usually get the coconut milk soup called Tom Kha. In addition, the Panang curry is delicious. After that, we usually branch off for an item or two and have never been disappointed by any of the items which we ordered. Since my daughter is vegetarian, we usually order everything with vegetables. I have been several times with carnivores and I can tell you that those selections are excellent as well.
