I had to give him my passcode for data retrieval, but it ultimately wasn't a huge risk to me since I'm too paranoid to store credit card information on my phone. Credit card payment of the agreed-upon estimate was accepted upon completion via Spark Pay, though cash and Paypal were also kosher. I broke my iphone 4 screen a few months ago as I botched an attempt to fix a broken home button. Left me with a working home button and a non-working screen. At the time I just ended up getting a new iPhone 5 and put this one away. So with christmas coming, my daughter asked for an iPod touch, which presented me the perfect opportunity to put that old iPhone to use. Instead of attempting to repair it myself, I yelped some local techs, and read up on iCracked's parts guarantee and service model. Being extremely busy with two jobs as well as the holiday season to boot, that really appealed to me. So I went to their website, filled out the form, and was contacted within the hour by Christopher. He asked a bunch of questions about the iPhone, and during the course of that, I expressed to him that I thought it might be a loose or broken ribbon cable instead of a dead screen. He replied that if that was the case and if he didn't have to replace the screen, then he would only charge me the consultation fee, which was a really nice gesture because that's about half the cost of a full-on repair. That ended up not being the case, but he did sincerely test the screen out to see if it was salvageable, and I certainly appreciated that gesture. I broke my phone on Saturday, it's Tuesday now. I contacted Ken numerous times to schedule an appointment (I had to call from work, skype and my friend's phone). I even left him a few voice messages. Needless to say, he never returned my call and I had to be inconvenienced until my phone was repaired a few days later. I got my phone repaired at PhoneAid located at 1442 Light Street instead because Ken never got back to me. One day I take my recycle and garbage out to the curb simultaneously with my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in hand. My screen (and home button) was replaced on 1/31/17. On 1/5/18, the home button stopped working. As requested, i submitted a warranty claim. After not hearing back for a week (multiple emails and phone calls later), I finally received a notice that the home button is not covered under warranty. So now, my phone is out of commission and they are not helping me out AT ALL! I will NEVER recommend this company again. The convenience of their services is NOT worth the cost. iCracked ripped me off big time! Your repair fee is entirely based on their techs that come out to fix your phone. I thought all repairs were a set price. Friends of mine told me about this service because they had the exact same issue (and phone) as I did. We all had broken screens and when two of my friends had their's fixed it was no more than $80. I, however, had to pay $131! They didn't even tell me it was going to cost this much until after all was said and done. The person on the phone who called me to confirm the appointment time and location put in the wrong address after repeating myself about 6 times! The iTech who was suppose to meet with me even canceled and had to get someone else out to repair my phone. Even after the repairs I am still having a few issues with the screen and even the sound is a problem (which it was not before). I would recommend that you stay clear of this service! Go t your local cell phone repair store and it will be cheaper. I am willing to bet that Apple would have repaired my phone for less also! Would never recommend. Though rashid was very pleasant and was able to replace the broken glass, he left glaring fingerprints on the underside of the glass. When asked about how this could be resolved, his only response via text was "I tried the best I could", and did not even attempt to rectify his mistake. No follow up, no reduction in price, no apology for not wearing gloves or paying attention to details. In addition, from the originally quoted price of $145 he increased to $165 because it was a different screen on my ipad. After using it, the glass installed is of a far poorer quality, collects more smudges, and does not clean as easily. So if your ipad screen has cracked, sure they can replace the glass, but expect to deal with very poor customer service and a lack of quality with the finished product. And if you have a problem with it afterwards, expect absolutely no help. read more

I found this business through google and noticed that they had received great reviews on help so decided to call and get a quote for replacing my cracked iPad 2 glass. I met Rasheed and was impressed that he could fix my iPad for less than other places I had received quotes from. I expected a repair time of a week but he said it would be finished in 24 hours! Another bonus is that the screen stops working (for reasons other than breakage) it would be replaced for free (good for 99 years).
