The food was acceptable, but the older woman taking orders at the counter could definitely improve her customer service skills. She already seemed to have an attitude when we were placing our order and didn't appear friendly or welcoming at all I ordered lemon pepper wings, but she may have misheard me and put in an order for lemon pepper pizza instead. I had left an $8 tip at the counter. When she brought out our food, I mentioned that I thought I had ordered the wings, not realizing that lemon pepper pizza was an option. She was rude and told me I ordered the wrong item and gave snarky comments. Instead of making a scene, I'll just told her I'll take the pizza. Won't be back here again. read more

Tim! Love that yo can pick between getting it sliced as six or eight squares. One pizza is plenty for two to share. But if you want leftover or have a healthy appetite, one pizza might just be what you need for yourself. I've tried the portions, pepperoni and basil and the bacon and cheese pizza. All were delish and worth it. read more

Delicious pizza. Ordered Create your own with Crispy Chicken, red onion, and red sauce for pickup. The pizza although not large in size was substantial with excellent crust, crunchy bottom, beautiful looking top. Crispy chicken was a treat, and the underlying red sauce flavorful and fresh-tasting. Ordered two pizzas for pickup. The store is very modern and clean looking. The person who helped me pick up my order was very nice! The pizza itself was good- it's a well done Detroit style pie. The crispy edges are my fav part! I wish that their toppings were chopped a bit finer because they're quite chunky. Tip: get their app because they have promotional discounts! read more

I love square pie guys. My kid says it's the best and his favorite pizza ever and he may be right. We were returning home from a roadtrip and decided to stop here for lunch, we were both really hungry and actually delayed eating so we could stop here. Staff was friendly pizza was hot, crispy and delicious! Restaurant and restroom nice and clean. My one critique the music was so loud, we could barely hear each other talk! But also we weren't really talking just shoveling pizza into our mouths hahaha. This is my second square pie guys review both locations make excellent pizza so EAT HERE! read more

Really enjoyed the pizza we ordered from Square Pie Guys. It was ordered through DoorDash and the box came sealed. We got The Big Von- white sauce, Italian sausage, pepperoni, Mike's hot honey. Very tasty! Loved the combination of ingredients on this pizza, though it could have used a little more hot honey. Still really yummy, especially with the crisp edges and soft middle. The dough to topping ratio was just right. Sometimes Detroit style pizza can be too feel too bready, but the flavor of ingredients really shined on this pizza. I would definitely order from here again. Highly recommend! read more

I visited Square Pie Guys in Walnut Creek on May 2 around 5:30 PM. I had previously visited the Oakland location several months ago and remembered enjoying it. The pizza was decent, and the wings were excellent, so I was genuinely excited to try this location. Unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to my expectations. The pizza was okay, but the chicken was extremely salty and difficult to eat. It also didn't taste as fresh as I remembered from my previous experience. Considering how much I spent, I left feeling like it was a waste of money. I was really looking forward to the meal, which made the disappointment even greater. This may have just been an off day, but based on this experience, I probably won't be returning. I hope others have a better experience because I had high hopes going in. The service and energy were great. read more

We love Detroit Style Pizza!!! Honestly Square Pie Guys is one of the few pizza joints around here that actually offers something relatively close to the kind we could get in Michigan. The only downside for us is the price because it's still considered a relatively new trend here in the Bay Area, and the price reflects that. In my opinion $25-$30 for 4 slices is too expensive for pizza in our budget, so we sadly couldn't afford to get it as often as we'd like. But yesterday was the last day of their Buy One Get One Free deal, and we didn't wanna miss it! We ordered through the app, and I wish it was a little more flexible. They had some pre-set pizzas to choose from, but you couldn't modify them at all. For example, we don't like Hot Honey on pizza, but if a pre-set came with it, there was absolutely no option to remove it. That felt really inconvenient since we liked all the other toppings and just really wanted to remove literally one. Because of that, we ended up having to build our own pizzas, which honestly wasn't hard to do. With that said though, the confusing part that we found out later was that when you build your own pizza, the extra toppings apparently aren't included in the Buy One Get One Free deal. So we ended up paying full price for all the added toppings on both pizzas, which felt a little misleading and caught us by surprise when we saw the final total cost. That being said, the pizza itself was really yummy. We got a Pepperoni Pizza and another one with Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Marinated Bell Peppers, and Red Onion. Both were super delicious. I loved how fluffy the bread was while the bottom of it still had that crispy crunch. The cheese flavor really came through, and the toppings were super flavorful too. But at the end of the day, it's sadly still a little pricey for us to get regularly, but I really hope they bring back the Buy One Get One Free deal again sometime soon because we'd definitely order again. read more

Very clean Inside I pre ordered online for a 3pm pick up got to the location at 3:11pm pizza sitting out in the cold no warmer so when I asked the lady working has the pizza been sitting there and not in a warmer she said yea because it's only 2 ppl working. Then I asked for her is she supposed to not keep it warm she told me don't argue with her. I was genuinely confused and then concerned when she told me don't argue with her as if we were having a debate. I'm simply asking why do you have this pizza sitting out when you have warmer to keep pizza warm none the less the pizza is being re made but they need to train the staff on customer service read more

The ingredients tasted FRESH and I especially LOVED crunchy crust! We got a choc chip cookie square for dessert! YUM! We will definitely be back! read more

After watching the FIFA final, which went longer than expected, we were starving and excited to finally try this spot for a late lunch. I'd heard so many great things about it, and since my partner is a huge pizza fan, we couldn't wait to give it a try. The restaurant was clean, spacious, and had plenty of seating. There's also metered parking right out front, which made stopping by really convenient. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and our pizza came out about 15 minutes after ordering. We shared the spicy pepperoni pie, and I was completely full after just two slices. It kept me satisfied for hours! The pizza was an easy 10/10. I loved the rich flavor of the vodka sauce, the perfectly melted cheese, and the crispy pepperoni, which was my favorite part. It's definitely a hearty pizza with a lot of bread, but every bite was worth it. We both thought it was amazing and are already looking forward to coming back and trying the other options the next time we're in the area. read more

Really tasty Detroit-style pizza! Location is below an apartment complex in the corner with paid street, public parking nearby, and indoor and outdoor seating. I was able to schedule my order for a specific pick up time and the friendly team executed my 3 pizzas and wings right on the dot. My hubz was able to order a custom vegan pie without cheese, I got the Ellen Supreme and the lemon pepper wings. Everything was tasty - albeit kind of salty - crispy crust, cheese and ample toppings! Service was friendly and there was indoor and outdoor seating. Interior was modern and clean with gray and blue accents. I'd come back! read more

I did an order pick up of their Lemon Pepper pizza and GURL, it is sooo yummy!! The Lemon Pepper pie definitely a creative pizza that's the antithesis to classic (boring) pizzas. It has white sauce, crispy fried chicken, lemon pepper seasoning, topped with ranch and scallions. Deliciously zesty so you don't feel like a heavy oily weight after eating it. I am not a pizza fan (yes I'm a weirdo) but this square pie had a grip on me! I didn't even get a photo for this review. I had to stop myself from finishing the whole thing. Scary good pizza. read more

This place tastes like what a true Detroit style pizza would taste like. The ingredients put into the pizza taste good quality and were balanced. Pepperoni was better than average. The texture was also something that I noticed was better than other detroit style pizzas Ive had. Nice crisp edges and not burnt and clean tasting. The middle was soft but not doughy. Wings were also solid. Crispy outside, juicy inside and good flavor and not greasy. The stand out to me was the ranch. It had a lemon zest to it and great on the wings. but it also great on the pizza! (Im from california dont hate me) Came here for an early lunch on Saturday and we were the only ones dining in. Staff was nice and helpful. Although they seem to be dealing with "new store" syndrome. Not 100% sure on certain ingredients. Took about 10ish minutes to get our pizza and shorter time for the wings. The restaurant is on the smaller side. Its clean and has a new store look. Basic decor with posters on the walls. A very casual spot for lunch or late night quick dinner. Parking can be hard to find since its next to bart. read more

One of my favorite pizza spots in WC, even though I'm not the biggest fan of Detroit style pizza their flavor combinations make the pizza amazing. The wings are hella good and the garlic fries are always on point. They don't have regular soda in the store but do carry craft soda and some beer. The service is always very friendly but I've only done take out so can't review for those eating there. The ambiance of the store is very clean and modern. I only saw one bathroom inside the store, with the sinks being outside of the actual bathroom. Overall have been back there multiple times and will continue to come back. read more

New pizza spot! We had delicious Detroit style pizza here. They have a variety of toppings and other great options for appetizers too!

Square pie guys has some of the best crunchy crust and bottom. The flavor is also very good. We had the spicy pepperoni and it was covered with jalapeños and spicy vodka sauce. There's also outdoor seating, which is nice because you can have pets with you. They make it fresh so do you anticipate a 15-20 minute wait per pie read more

Amazing food!!! They have great customer service as well. I appreciated using inkind.

Heard a lot of hype from my friend who is from Detroit so I had to try it. Got it delivered earlier this week and with the classic cheese. I was hoping for something with more flavor. It was good but I wasn't blown away like I thought I would be. Crust was good but the cheese and sauce were nothing special. Will probably give it another go down the road but didn't live up to the hype for me. read more

Yum. We parked on side street at paid meters. Parking is very limited at this location and is paid only. Walked into a super modern, clean facility. Staff was very nice and welcoming and explained the menu since it was our first time. The music was pretty loud in there and made it a little hard to have conversation. We chose the build your own and had sausage, mushroom and olive. The size is perfect for two people and dag gone it was so good. Cool place & great food! it was located near bart with easy access to different parking places. will visit again!

We dropped into this location while Square Pie Guys was having their 40% off for opening week. The honey and I split a 'Make Your Own' and we loved that they had an option for Impossible Meat as well as Herb Chicken. I'm not usually a fan of deep dish, but the honey is and we found the crust not too crunchy and well cooked. I did feel they went a bit light on the toppings, but the price was very reasonable and the service was prompt and friendly. They also have so much more seating than we expected both inside and outdoors. All in all, they're a solid 3.6 and the location is fantastic for the local lunch crowd. I hope they team up with Luna Sea to offer eats for those enjoying late night drinks down the way. read more

Came during their soft opening- there was like only 4 parking spaces in the front so you have to park further and walk. Small but cute place, very much a casual spot where you order in the front and pay out before sitting down. They have beers, pizzas and small bites. We tried the P-lo pizza that consisted 4 slices for about $25 as well as a side of the Schezuan dry wings. It was rather salty but very crispy which I liked. The pizza had quite a kick to it, they do not skimp on the ingredients which is great. The pizza is rather small but it is filling especially if you get small bites as well. I think the two girls that were working were so sweet and really add to the service. read more

We decided to try the pizza during the soft opening. There was a 40% off promotion. My friend had waited almost two hours the day before for her order so I was a little skeptical. The app wasn't accepting orders so I decided to check the website. The app had hours 11:30am-9:00, but the website listed 3:00pm--9:00pm. Ordering opened up a little after 3:00pm. I was bummed to see a number of the pizzas unavailable. The estimated wait time was 35 mins. My partner arrived about 45 mins after the order was placed and he could see our order just sitting there. It was closer to 50-55 minutes for the two pizzas. We settled on the Big Von and Ellen Supreme. The bread itself was very good. The Ellen Supreme toppings were just okay. The pickled peppers and grilled onions were underwhelming. We couldn't really taste the sauce on the Big Von. It was a little doughy. I understand it's a soft opening so I know they're working through some hiccups. Not sure if we would try this again. read more

I came here for the first time last week on my birthday. I work close by so I met up with my dad and we got our pizza. I had a slice of the Ellen Supreme and slice of the Mush Room one. I should have just one honestly because it's so filling but I couldn't resist since it was my first time. Both of them were packed with flavor and I absolutely loved it other than burning the roof of my mouth. I got leftovers to have my husband try and he loved it just as much, too. The servers here were super attentive and friendly, too. I will absolutely come back to try another pizza on the menu until I figure which one is my favorite. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is because when we sat outside, it can be SO loud with BART passing by. I'm hard of hearing as it is so I was getting a little overwhelmed. Also, I wish they had umbrellas outside because it was really hot the day we went. Other than that, we were able to find seating inside thankfully since it gets pretty busy around lunch time. We can't wait to come back! read more
