I am not sure why the reviews are sitting at a 4.2 currently. This is some only the best pizza I have ever had. I was in town for three days and I ate here for two of them. The service was quick only taking 20 mins to get my pizza. The inside was small, there are a couple tables outside to sit, but so was getting it to go anyhow. First off customer service was excellent the woman at the front was very nice, 2nd the pizza was amazinggg. Stopped here to grab a large pizza half and half and the pizza was cooked thoroughly, pizza dough was delicious, and the crust was perfect! Also the ranch dip was soooo good best ranch I've had in awhile from any pizza spot. Ugghhh, why did I recommend this place to my friends?!?! This is the only place they want to go to now when we have to go to a conference near by . Overall the pizzas are made fresh and tasty as you order it. Service is fast and friendly. When we went in, it was raining and a bit cold. The people who work there are great but the pizza is honestly terrible. Very friendly staff. However I gotta be honest because this isn't $10 pizza or $15 pizza, it's $27 with 1 topping and I felt I got ripped off for the quality and taste. Let me explain, The red sauce pizza with pepperoni is full of grease which one can say is because of the pepperoni. Okay, then explain why the sauce doesn't taste good (very generic) and the bottom of the pizza is cooked unevenly. Additionally, this isn't a $10 pizza, it's a $27 pizza with 1 topping. For that price it better be great, or at least mountain mikes level which it's not. I won't be returning but maybe you guys might like it. read more

Best pizza I've had so far in NorCal. I'm particular about extra sauce. I always ask for it and rarely get it, but pizza my way gave me exactly what I asked for. The crust was crispy and chewy, the cheese covered every bit of the pie (no bald spots) and the ingredients tasted fresh. The wings were big and meaty, and although I personally could have used more buffalo sauce, that does not warrant a downgrade because the meal overall was very satisfying. read more

If they added a smigen more bbq sauce, it would of been *chefs kiss* Gal on the phone who took my order was exceptionally kind and very be patient. Okay, I am married to a pizza snob which makes me one as well. Hanging out in Pleasant Hill the last couple of days and decided to give a slice of cheese pizza a try. Something so very simple yet not always done in the style for which we are accustomed. We love NY style which has a thin crust and holds up when folded. This is where the bar is. So, friendly young man at the register who quickly took my order and told me the estimated time which was about 5 minutes. No problem. Got the box, a packet of chili flakes and Parm cheese. Now, pizza in the box will always lose a little something with the ability to be crisp because of the steam created in the box so it's okay. I get this and take this into consideration. I tasted the fresh basil in the sauce and there was a good balance in the amount of cheese. No puddle of grease at all. Pizza didn't do much for me as the crust wasn't there for me as even compared to Rocco's. They have a TV if you want to watch while indoor dining. I forgot to ask if they made their own cheesecake since many yelpers have posted pics. Does anyone know if they make it in house? Support locals if you are looking for friendly place with a variety of pizzas. read more

Located on Contra Costa Blvd in Pleasant Hill, it's a small spot in a plaza with parking available All the times I've went have been great experiences. The owner is very nice and shows attentive hospitality. Through prices are ti a higher side, it is worth the taste and quality. This was our spot, however, recently we ordered four large speciality pizzas for delivery. Initially there was a bite of a language barrier in just placing the order, which wasn't a big deal. We finally were able to finalize my order, with some help with another employee. I was given 90 minutes for the delivery, which wasn't a big deal. They also had delivered to my residence previously, so I thought it was going to be smooth sailing. Here comes the issue, I called at approximately one hour later just for an update, and they replied back and informed me that they will be completed in 25 minutes. At approximately 45 minutes later, I called again and the response back was now, " we will be leaving in 20 minutes." I said, "What! In complete disbelief and slight anger, I handed the phone to my wife and she spoke to the employee in regards to the issue at hand. Despite all of the wait over 2 1/2 hours, we ended up picking the pizza up. Sadly, yes they were apologetic, however, they never made any attempts to reimburse us or provide a discount rate. Just unbelievable! My guests were not only hungry and patiently waiting, I felt horrible that I hosted a party with no main entree, which was the pizzas. I would never give this place 1 star, but this type of service was definitely warranted! Sorry your pizza taste great, but your service really need to improve dramatically if you want my repeat business! read more

This is our favorite place to get pizza from. Check their website online for coupons/specials. This place is literally walking distance from my place, and my teenage son and his friends LOVE their pies. He gets a classic pepperoni while I get mine with salami, jalapeños and pineapple. That's right, I'm team pineapple, beaches! What what! Lol. Their specialty pizzas are a must. They're well made, with a ton of effort and love put in them. There is no pork in the entire restaurant. I have asked the owner directly in person & that is what I was told. Hard to find a pizza place like this and they do an incredible job!

I walked by the front door and it opened automatically. My heart started to flutter. So I went to look at their menu online and saw that they had chicken shawarma bowls. I love chicken shawarma. I decided to look them up on Yelp and make sure they had good reviews. I realized that they were a sponsored ad, and that gave me pause. The last time I went to a Middle Eastern restaurant that was sponsored, it was not so great, so I quickly checked the reviews. They have pretty good reviews! One review said that the chicken was dry, but others were more positive. I had a really good feeling, so I ordered it. Another reviewer commented that the rice was so good -- and they're not normally a rice enthusiast -- so when I placed my order, I upgraded my rice from the white rice that comes with the order to the rice infused with turmeric and garbanzo beans. When I opened my order, the bowl was a pretty decent size. If my husband had been with me, we probably would've been able to split it. In my order, I saw: * Seasoned chicken drizzled with shawarma and a delicious white sauce. * Hummus * Tomato cucumber salad * And this yellow turmeric rice I couldn't resist -- the rice was the first thing I tasted, and it was delicious! I can't quite figure out what flavors are in there, but I could taste a hint of cinnamon, and there were definitely other flavors there. The chicken was moist and flavorful. The hummus could very easily be the best hummus I've ever had. I really enjoyed this meal. I really wanted to eat the entire bowl myself but decided to save half of it for my daughter, who I know will also love it. Customer service was excellent. Adam was at the counter and greeted me very warmly. And when I was leaving, they asked me if I wanted hot sauce and then they put that in the bag. Overall, I give this five stars. I love that the food comes in an eco-friendly container. If there's anything that I could change, it's probably that they put it in a plastic bag instead of a paper bag. I try to avoid plastic as much as possible, but the container was quite big and needed to be in a bag while I hiked back to the oil change place. Oh, and before I forget... one of the first things I asked before I ordered is if the shawarma plate was gluten-free, and he assured me that everything in it was unless I was getting pita. And one more fun note -- when I got back to the car place, someone walked in, saw my food, and immediately asked, "Oh, is that from Manakish?" I was pretty impressed they could recognize it just by the look, especially since the restaurant is about half a mile away. The lunch special comes with half rice, half salad, plus a drink. I chose the iced tea and it was really refreshing. For an appetizer, I had my must-have mast-o-musir (shallot yogurt). They also bring out butter and half a raw onion, which I always thought was random until I asked my Persian coworker how you're actually supposed to eat it. Turns out the butter is meant to be mixed into the warm rice so it melts, and the onion is used as a palate cleanser. You peel off a small piece and take a bite between eating your rice and protein. Once you know, it totally makes sense. Between the two koobidehs, the vegan beef was the clear winner. It was flavorful and honestly didn't taste like fake meat at all. The vegan chicken was good, but you can slightly taste that Impossible-style meat flavor. Next time, I'll definitely just get two beef koobidehs. Overall, I'm really glad I came back. After trying a bunch of other Persian spots, this is still my favorite, especially now that I can enjoy it while eating vegetarian. Highly recommend.
