This spot is such a nice little gem we found! The pizza was exactly how I like it,perfectly crispy with a great crunch in every bite. You can tell they really know what they're doing when it comes to getting that texture just right. The overall vibe of the place is super welcoming too, which made the experience even better. Good pizza for a good price! It is close to where I live and better than Domino's and cheaper than mountain Mike's so I prefer it. They often have deals on the website or through DoorDash (there's BOGO for garlic knots right now). I usually order takeout and the service has always been timely. The guys working inside are nice. All the specials are good as well as a regular cheese pizza is always a classic. The garlic knots are also a really good deal. Can't comment on staying inside to eat, but it's a typical pizza joint. read more

I was a big fan when this place was originally Mingles Pizza, and when I saw that they kept some of the menu items I got really excited and optimistic. We ordered 2 pizzas and they were made on time and the guy up front was super friendly when we went to pick up our order. It was a bit off putting when you first step in because you get hit with the smell of something burning, but we payed no mind. When we went to open the pizza we were met with very disappointing pies. The Alfredo chicken was flimsy and had too much sauce and not enough toppings, our vegetarian pizza was completely burnt (the entire crust was black) and the pizza was nothing special. For the price I don't think I'll come back for more. read more

Well, we tried this place last week. Ordered an XL extra cheese pizza .. didn't get extra cheese. Today ordered 2 pizzas - a large extra cheese, half pepperoni and received a full pepperoni instead. The other pizza was fine. Apparently asking to make the order correctly was an issue as he'd only make one pizza and not the other. This means bringing home 1 cold pizza and 1 warm pizza because THEY screwed up an online order (meaning written, so they should have paid attention and got it right). I'll take the hint, this place isn't capable of doing much right or taking care of the customer. I'll dispute with the credit card company and leave reviews so people know what to expect with "Slice It". A shame really, the pizza tasted alright enough but I won't make the same mistake a third time. Lesson learned I guess. read more

UPDATED REVIEW: I was asked by the owner of the restaurant to give tthe pizza another chance. Being that I am a big supporter of local and small businesses, I said I would. I tried an actual whole pizza versus the single slice I originally ordered and reviewed. The pizza was actually pretty good. The flavor was good and the ingredients were all baked on the pizza. Everything was hot and fresh. The experience was pleasant, and tasty. I would eat here again, but not get the slices. I'm updating my review because the food was good and thw customer service was above and beyond. ORIGINALl REVIEW: The food here was beyond bad. My friend and I both ordered a slice of pizza. For mine, I asked Hawaiian but instead of ham, I asked for peppeoni. When I got my order, the pizza looked like a peppeoni pizza had been baked at some point and then pineapple had been added to the top of the already cooked (did not look fresh at all) pepperoni pizza. The pineapple wasn't cooked or even warm! My friend ordered the meat lovers slice and got the same situation. A pepperoni pizza was baked and then fresh/raw meat with piled on top. Not baked. It was mildly warm, maybe it was microwaved. I am so disappointed by this entire experience, especially since this spot used to be my favorite pizza place. I wouldn't go here ever again. I would rather eat at my middle school or a hospital cafeteria. I wish I took pics of this so I could share the disappointment. read more

So good. A slice of New York in the Bay Area. I struggle to find good places in the East Bay that really nail the crust and flavor of a New York slice. My kids said they really liked the pepperoni and they gave it a "10/10" and they liked the garlic knots too! The rockaway was good but I didn't love that the jalapeños were jarred ones, I like fresh but that's just my preference. Also, they didn't have crushed red peppers and pizza without it, for me, is just not the same. All in all, it was good and I liked the thin crust, I don't know if/when I will return simply because they don't have any seating (aside from a few tables outside) and I don't live in town.

There were several teenagers squeezing past customers, getting into people's personal space, grabbing drinks without paying, and heading back outside. We figured this must be a common occurrence since no one seemed concerned. We ordered two drinks and a small pizza for a little over $31. The food came out hot and fresh, although the toppings slid right off the pizza because it was so hot. Clearly we didn't wait. Unfortunately, just before finishing our meal, we found a hair on the last slice. With our luck, it had to be the last piece. I brought it to the gentleman in the back and tried to keep the mood light. I jokingly said, "Yeah, looks like someone in the back might be losing their hair." Instead of apologizing, he slowly walked away and simply said, "I'll get you next time." There was no apology, no effort to get our name or number, and no attempt to make the situation right. Why would we trust there to be a "next time" when this was the perfect opportunity to show good customer service? A sincere apology should have been the bare minimum. Since none was offered, I asked if they could comp the pizza, which is a common way restaurants handle situations like this. Looking back, I wonder if my joke was taken personally because the two men working appeared to be balding. Oopsy. If so, that wasn't my intention, I was simply trying to lighten an awkward situation. He said he couldn't refund the pizza but offered to make us a new one. We waited while they remade it, and just before we left, we finally received a simple apology. Mistakes happen in every restaurant. What matters is how they're handled. Unfortunately, this experience left us disappointed, and because of how it was addressed, we won't be returning. We genuinely wanted to support a local business, but customer service matters just as much as the food. Please do better.
