My family wanted pizza after visiting the Sunvalley Mall and we know Mountain Mikes is a reliable place to go. We ordered on the phone and when we arrived, the pizza and wings were ready to go. The cashier who helped us was very nice and ensured everything was good to go with me before leaving the counter to help the next person. Large Pepperoni and Mushrooms: Always a huge fan of the curling pepperoni and this place did it amazingly well. The mushrooms helped add another texture and flavor and always paired well with the Pepperoni. There were plenty of slices for a large and it was not too saucy or cheesey either. Overall, a delicious pizza. Lemon Pepper Wings: These were a bit overseasoned, as you can see you in the picture. Still, the flavors were good and the wings were crispy. Would order again. Went back and ordered more food!!! This time I took a friend with us because we were raving about how great the pizza is here!!! Customer service was a bit off but was resolved. This place is family owned and takes their business and customer reviews serious. They make sure to resolve any issue you may have quickly. They did honor the 25% off our bill which was awesome!! Great prices!! We ordered the butter chicken and tandoori chicken pizza, the Indian pasta which needed a bit more sauce, Marsala bread sticks ( which was pineapple and jalapeños with what I think had Indian spices) and the cherry Valentine's Day pizza which was supposed to be heart shaped but came out round. Was a bit disappointed but hey the taste was the same! The bread to sweet ratio was a bit off but kudos to Mountain Mike's for trying something new. They need to sell the butter chicken sauce by the pint! I like dipping my pizza in something so the little side I got was so good! It used to be the best pizza. But the last few times I've ordered something is different. The crust and pepperoni is good, but the rest is not. It's like they're trying to cut costs. The sauce, what little there was, had no taste, and the cheese was like watery or something. Like low fat cheese maybe? No string to it at all. The last time I had it delivered, it was barely cooked. I had to finish cooking it in my oven. I've always come here but I don't won't be coming back. Too expensive for a not so good pizza. I'm really disappointed. We stopped by Mountain Mike's in Pleasant Hill after midnight, not expecting much since it was so late--but wow, we were blown away! Kalip was the one making our food, and he absolutely crushed it. We ordered 2 large pizzas; an Everest (Kalip's recommendation) and a custom pizza and both came out perfect. The pizzas came out perfectly crisp, with just the right balance of toppings and cheese. My husband our child and I have been coming here for the lunch buffet for a few years now, and when I order pizza with my mom we order from here as well. During the lunch buffet it is not too busy and they are so sweet. The person working will ask you what kind of pizza you would like to eat and they accommodate your order. I love the salad bar that goes along with the all you can eat. They never seem to run out of toppings. Also in my past experiences I find that they will honor coupons and offer deals as well. They have TVs with various things playing. Yesterday, while we were there I was even able to enjoy the end of one of the Fast and Furious movies. This is one of the biggest pizza restaurants Ive been in, in a while. We came in for a birthday lunch for my step daughter. We all love Mountain Mikes so this was the first choice for a birthday. The birthday celebration was just informal us as a family of six so it wasn't an official party. The pizza was really good. We also partook of the Salad Bar. Great fresh quality items in the salad bar. Service was very nice and fast. We also ordered the BBQ Wings. They were very good. They don't skimp on the sauce over here. Ordered pizza from the Golf Club Rd location last minute and was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the pizza was. We don't normally order pizza from Mountain Mike's but did based on location (needed Safeway gas lol). Anyhow, ordered the usual pepperoni and mushroom and got the Mountain 20"/20 slice pizza to feed 7 of us. Man, do they mean it! The thing was ginormous! We barely put a dent in it and we're able to have pretty much a half a pizza left over for the next day. Crust was good, toppings were generous, no skimping on any ingredients and best of all, pizza was still hot when we brought it home. Will happily come back, especially to this location. This Mountain Mike's Pizza is located right in the same shopping center as Teapot, Giant Chef Burger, and right down the street from the front entrance of DVC. Though the previous Mountain Mike's owner of this location was pretty much a disaster, this new ownership, which also owns the one on Contra Costa now, have really done a much better job with things now. However, there are still some things that needs improvement. The staff here is good, but not always consistent. A couple of times I went the person at the counter just really did not want to be there, and gave off a very uninviting feel. Other times, the person at the register was super friendly. It's hit or miss for the store front, but the person on the phone seems to always be friendly in helping me out, so I guess I can take it or leave it since I don't sit in to eat and only do takeout. Though I have had confusion with ordering sometimes over the phone as well, since they seemed to try to rush me off with my order sometimes rather than just taking my order. The pizza here are better than they used to be, and they put more ingredients onto the pizza. Pike's Peak is probably my favorite order go-to here. However, the pizza also struggles with quality consistency as well. Sometimes you get plenty of portions of meat, when they're seemingly not as busy as I can just grab my pizza and go out the door. Other times you get a lot less meats when they seem to be making lots of pizza and have less attention to details perhaps when you grab your pizza. The meats here are indeed good quality, but the issue is that it's never really consistent from one visit to another when ordering Pike's Peak, so I'm not sure how it goes with the other pizzas. When the pizza is right, it's a tasty and delicious experience. When it's not, it's just another Mountain Mike's Pizza, which really isn't meant to be a compliment in this case. All-in-all, this Mountain Mike's has certainly improved upon the previous owner of the location just a few years back. This review is more of a 3.5 than a 4, but I'll give the 4 for now since I've had more good than bad experiences thus far. There has been improvement in the customer service. There has been improvement in the food quality itself. There has been improvement in specific promotions geared towards the community nearby. All things that have been done better. Now they just really need to find that bit of consistency to take it to the next level of things, but then again, it's a pizza place, and a franchise one at that, so it's hard to be demanding THAT much from the location. The current state they're at already is really something else in it of itself. If you like good quality pizza, give this spot a try. read more

This location's TooGoodToGo deal is not worth the drive. The deal is for $5.99 and the Facebook group shows other locations receiving a small specialty pizza (10" which retails $10-11.99) and drink or salad. I received a mini 1 topping pizza (retails $6.99) and a soda and also had to wait for it to be made. The pizza was mediocre. Wouldn't recommend this location for the TGTG deal. Reply: if the order was a canceled order, why did I wait for the mini pizza to be made? If you didn't have any at that time you shouldn't have 5+ available "deals" on the app, then I wouldn't have wasted my time and money for no deal available. Even as I got there no one said "we don't have any canceled orders at this time, I can offer you a mini pizza and soda," I would've said no. Instead it was "do you want cheese or pepperoni." And had I refused the order that your location made me wait for, then it would've went to the next person who got reeled into the fake "deal." Yes, I deleted the other one cause I referred to the deal/pizza as "trash," but decided to re-write a less scathing review. I ate my pizza and had some left over. Going up to the front, I was perplexed. I didn't know what size box would work best for my two pieces of cheese pizza. Luckily, Joey saved the day!!!!! He had the exact size for me! The next day (today), i'm so glad to open my perfectly sized box and find my two pieces protected and safely in my fridge. Will forever be thankful for Joey. On the other hand, I tried to order some churros. Don't get me wrong, they were DELICIOUS! I did find it hard to convey my order to a different man (not Joey) because I do believe he was deaf. I'd recommend this place 10 times over if you need a late night meal that is delicious! The area in which it is placed, is not bad at all a little bit busy but I usually come at night time. I believe it's the owner, he's very friendly and makes it worth coming back here. However they told us they stayed open till 11 we got our pizza before 11 and my brother-in-law got screamed at because he said they didn't close at 11. So it was a bit confusing to say the least ! It wasn't the owner, but I was confused for him.. just thought I'd add that. This part of Concord is overall not bad. At least all the times I've been here it's been a pretty safe location. You will run into a lot of reckless drivers here because it's nearby the freeway and they're just trying to do 80 to get passed you. I am very funny about my food especially pizza. Some places don't even know how to cook it fully! However out of all the times I've been here it's been a very good meal!
