We have ordered from them before without any issues. I have a gluten intolerance and have eaten gluten-free pizza for years. When my husband picked it up was going to get cheesecake, when he reached for it, he realized it was expired by about a week. The people at the counter were unprofessional and somewhat rude when he mentioned the expired cheesecake. He was hesitant to even take the pizza. When he brought it home and I opened the box, I was extremely disappointed as I've had this pizza from them before. It was burnt on the outside and soggy and wet on the inside and the dough just wasn't right, tasted sour. I called them immediately and let them know my concerns and that my husband was going to return it and we wanted to cash refund. When my husband return the pizza, they did give him a cash refund of 31.82; pretty pricey for an 8 slice gluten free pizza. It was over $3 more than when we had it last time. They also told him that I was a hypochondriac and there was nothing wrong with his pizza and asked me to not return. Well, Pizza Guys in Concord; you don't have to worry I will not be back to your place to get pizza. I would rather have frozen than yours. It actually made my stomach hurt and I literally ate a bite and a half. It's a crapshoot I wouldn't risk it. Completely disappointed in their lack of professionalism. Our pizzas tonight were horrible. The crust was like cardboard, toppings were sparse, and sause was really thick on one of our pizzas making everything slide off. This Pizza Guy's location was okay before, but it seems this franchise might be under new ownership/mgmt... who are more interested in saving a dime by skimping on ingredients. We ordered a Large specialty "All meat" (see image of actually very little meat to be found) & a Large pepperoni (see image missing the pepperoni on multiple pieces). I've had Pizza Guys a few times in the past but never thought to leave a review until the last time I ordered from here. Not only were the veggie and curry pizzas delicious, but the staff was very friendly and informative when we went to pick up our order. We had ordered 9 pizzas (3 of each type) for a Christmas Eve party, so before making our order they cared enough to call us and verify the order was correct, which we highly appreciated! Upon arrival, two of the staff members carefully carried all of our pizza boxes to the car for us, while the third staff member informed us that they would have delivered to our location if we had called, stating that the website might have had a glitch. If you run into the same issue and don't live too far definitely check with them over the phone. Very friendly staff overall and a great experience ordering from them! read more

This is a chain and each location varies. I have ordered from the one in Hayward a few times and it's just not as good, not even close. What a disappointment. Ordered a combination through DoorDash. The pizza had hardly anything on it. A few sausages and green peppers and I found a few olives. It looks sad. Also very very greasy. The pizza is good, maybe not 5-star but certainly better than Domino's or the like. They also have special promotions almost every day. Tonight I ordered a pizza and a salad for delivery. I noticed (about 15 minutes or so after placing the order online) that I accidentally made a big error on the pizza order regarding the toppings. It was 100% my fault; I must have hit the wrong button when ordering. When I called to try to get it fixed before the pizza was sent out, the manager I spoke to was so very helpful and he went above and beyond to make it right. Good pizza and excellent service. I ordered a 1/2 & 1/2 specialty pizza with a few customizations and I rarely ever get exactly what I ask for when ordering food online, but I sincerely appreciated their staff taking the time to look at the notes I wrote for the order. I want to start saying that the pizza is really good, it has become quite pricey but good. Delivery is fast. But here is why I am pissed and giving just two starts. If you are trying to order from their website, it has been 4 times that it doesn't work. Since they change for that new system it cranéate a mess, it asks you to log in with your dogones but their codes don't work, or it says that order is less than $12, which is not. The crust is the perfect thickness and came loaded up with cheese and our three toppings of choice - olives, mushrooms and pepperoni. The garlic cheese sticks were tasty too. Called regarding the missing item, was put on "hold" for 5min while listening to the employees BSing in the background - then they hung up the line. Called back and they were finally able to verify that the missing item was never made, and they sent a delivery person out to drop it off. If I owned this location, I'd pay some attention to the complaints of customers being put on hold and hung up on. I watched employees put new callers on hold while I was waiting, simply to turn and chat with other employees instead of taking the phone orders. I'll be avoiding this location from here on out. They were so dry and chewy I think I had only 1 slice of each. Even the dog had a hard time chewing the crust. The food otoh . . . Crust: abysmal (the dog turned it down!). Sauce: tasteless. Cheese: well, there was a tiny bit of the cheap stuff if you searched for it. Toppings: generous in the aggregate, but completely uncooked (basically warmed through); masses of raw onion (burp) and canned olives with a few mushroom and tomato bits added as an afterthought.
