I'm a big fan of Detroit Style Pizza, and it seems like it's really booming as one of the latest food trends here in the Bay Area. I've been seeing it pop up at various pizza places, and even Costco has started offering the frozen version of it. And apparently, Domino's didn't want to be late to the game either, so they released their own Detroit Style Pizza, and I knew immediately that I had to try it. Interestingly, their serving size is just an individual portion rather than the traditional 2 x 2 or 2 x 4 style you might find in Michigan. I guess they're basically advertising this as a one person's portion. Although, each square can be around 780 calories, so two pieces would be roughly 1,600 calories, which is crazy! Anyways, as for the flavor, after taking my first bite, I honestly couldn't tell much difference between this and their Pan Pizza, so it was a little disappointing in that sense, but also it wasn't unexpected. Don't get me wrong, it was still tasty, but it didn't really scream Detroit Style Pizza to me. It felt more like their Pan Pizza served in a square shape. Again, still good pizza, but just not Detroit Style Pizza. One of the defining characteristics of Detroit Style Pizza is the use of brick cheese, and Domino's doesn't seem to be using it here. In fact, their product description even mentions Parmesan?? Anyway, different cheese, different results. That said, I'd still encourage anyone who's curious to go give it a try. I'm not sure if this is going to be a limited time item or something they'll keep around, so might as well try it out while it's available. read more

Available here is pizza that's really about as bad as it could be. So if you were hoping to receive a pizza that has any resemblance to the product that they advertise on TV then you will be richly disappointed....Sure, you have only moderate quality expectations, and are only expecting an adequate pizza, given Dominoe's low prices, but what you will encounter are the following: the lowest grade of flavorless and minimally applied ingredients including paper-thin pepperoni, specks of "Italian sausage" (at least That is what They call it), tiny mushroom crumbles, the lowest amount of some sad-tasting tomatoey sauce stuff, and a smattering of low grade cheese, all applied (Ebenezer Scrooge-style) to a grim and sorry crust that most-closely approximates a warm piece of cardboard....No sir...I don't like it...it's a poor value at Any price. read more

Super disappointed with my order today, I am usually very pleased with the food but not today. I ordered at about 4:25pm 4 pizza's, a 16 piece knots and a brownie to be delivered over an hour later the food was delivered, according to the tracker it took 30+ minutes to get to the house. Although the food felt hot because of the warmer bag it was actually cold and not great tasting. Nothing on the app worked to report an issue and of course the app has no number to call the store. Disappointing experience and a waste of my money. Ughhh so crappy!!! read more

I ordered a pizza and cinnamon dessert thru my doordash app, abd not sure why, but dominos driver took the delivery to I dont know whom, but someone in my neighborhood just got free food. Doirdash says u have to contact domino's, I do, they tell me I have to go directly thru doordash. Lively, now dor dash says ok, we will send a credit back to the card charged, it will take 3 to 10 business days. Amazing charging my card only takes like 2 nano seconds, but crediting back takes 3 to 10 days, business days, which means no weekends. Guess lesson learned. read more

Ordered stuff crust pizza and buffalo wings. Very surprised how delicious both were. It's been a while but when I picked up my order I was treated like I was welcome there. The pizza was delicious and not the salt lick it once was. The wings were crispy and delicious not greasy. read more

I've ordered from this location a handful of times and overall, I think it is okay. I have to admit though with each visit, I get slightly more disappointed with the food. I usually like to get my pizza from Costco, but I recently found a Domino's gift card and decided to put it to good use. I ordered their Honolulu Hawaiian (sliced ham, smoked bacon, pineapple, roasted red peppers, provolone & cheese) and Deluxe (pepperoni, Italian sausage, fresh green peppers, fresh mushrooms, fresh onions & cheese). The pizzas looked appetizing upon delivery, but taste wise was okay. It just seemed like the quality wasn't there; sauces and toppings lacked in quantity, it wasn't cut properly, and some parts were overcooked. Overall, not the best pizza I've had. Unfortunately, I most likely won't be returning, just a bigger fan of Costco pizza. read more

Manager gary told me he couldnt give me the 5.99 deal because it could only be used online. I went online and tried it but the system said the dominos were closed. So I called and he wouldnt give me the coupon price so I said Ok send the order and while I was speaking to him and also someone else next to me he told me to FUCK off and that he wasnt going to send the order. What do you do when you get such shitty customer service. You cant talk to a manager because this little sad shit of a person is the manager. No wonder this place is so crappy and low reviews im such a loyal customer I must order 5-10 times a month. What a low life of a manager I pay delivery charges and fees for this? Unbelievable. Gary called me a liar and said online service was up and running fine so here's a screenshot. read more

Dominos pizza has gotten much better over the years. They still have a few coupons/ deals that make ordering here lighter on the wallet than most of the other pizza spots around. Use the app. They have a points/rewards system that will net you a free medium 2 topping pizza every 60 points: I walked out with my first free pizza and a free smile just last night. I do believe it tasted a little bit better than usual! read more

I called to place a pick up order last Saturday evening for two large pizzas. The lady on the phone finished taking my order and I told her I would be there in the next 15min. she demanded I give her my credit card over the phone due to the amount being over 50$. I explain that I was driving and couldn't get ahold of my wallet but I would pay when I arrived . she told me that she couldn't place my order due to the fact it wasn't paid in full over the phone . This was extremely frustrating, all I wanted to do was order pizza for my family and enjoy my evening. I cancel the order and when to round table down the street. The food was fantastic. read more

I have been a long time customer. Very disappointed in service and quality of food. New method of order taking, they now don't deliver to my address? We live 3 miles away. Today I have a medium Cheese pizza. Half of the pizza does it have cheese. I ordered Pasta Primavera Bread Bowl. It had barely any Alfredo sauce. It was dry noodles and bread. I attempted to call 3 times. I kept getting disconnected. I will no longer be ordering pizza at Dominos. The order taking service is not at the location. We cannot speak with a local person. read more

I tried to order online last night but the website said this location doesn't deliver to my apartment complex, which was weird because I have seen multiple Domino's delivery drivers in my complex. So I called the store, the employee picked up on the third ring, and asked him if my address was in their delivery area. I was told that my address was indeed in their delivery area, so I placed my order over the phone. (2) Medium Hand-tossed, extra sauce, pineapple and ham pizzas (1) Chocolate Lava Cakes (1) 2 Liter Sprite The employee who took my order was very polite and took my order in a timely manner. I asked for the 2 Medium 2 Topping Pizzas for $5.99 each deal and he told me that was only an online deal and it would be $6.99 over the phone. So since their online system was being wonky and not recognizing my address in their delivery area, I had to pay a little more. So that was a tad annoying. The guy who took my order said my order would be delivered in 40 minutes. 35 minutes later my pizzas were delivered. The driver asked to see the credit card I used and had me sign the receipt. I tipped him (always tip your delivery drivers people!!) and he wished me a goodnight and left. My order was perfect, nothing forgotten, no mistakes. The pizzas looked great and were still so hot that I had to blow on it before taking a bite. The customer service I received from this store was on point, both from the employee who took my order and the delivery driver. read more

The last two weekends, I've been looking for hot food to deliver to our healthcare workers at s John Muir Hospital and Kaiser Permamente Hospital in Walnut Creek. Found the best deals I could find for the money was Dominos Pizza. Combo deals for $19 and 3-topping pizzas for $7.99. The look on the RNs faces when you tell them it's my thanks for what they and the doctors are going through is all I need. Always a good choice for some late night food for the friends and I. They seriously upgraded their dough since a few years ago, and they added a lot of new coupons. There is almost always a coupon for 2 items at 7.99 or 5.99. They also have a lot of new dessert options which make me happy. Besides the cheap prices and new items to order, the app is super helpful for placing an order and getting points towards your next pizza. The only downside to getting a free pizza from them is it's still not 100% free, even if you decide to go down and pick it up. You still have to pay the tax on it, but it's only like two bucks for a two topping medium pizza. Aside from that, the points you get seem to be 10 no matter how much you place an order for which feels like more of an incentive to just make separate orders over a longer period of time. But I digress. This particular location is very speedy on delivery as well as cooking your items and their drivers have always been super nice and friendly. Love the pizza, will continue to buy it, never gonna stop buying it. read more

After a long day of yardwork, swimming and super sunburns, all hubs and I wanted was a GOOD pizza. Hadn't had dominos in awhile. Looked online and they were available for delivery, so i pulled the trigger with a $19.99 dinner deal. Pizza and sides came piping hot, perfect as ordered and on time. Thank you for your hard work on our order. More often than not, orders are incorrect or theres problems, you start to even expect it nowadays. But it was perfect. So thank you. Update: yep. There it is. We got to the warm and delicious cinnamon twists and much to our extreme disappointment, they forgot the icing dip that its supposed to come with. So without it its just sorta dry cinnamon bread. Bummer cuz we never order dessert at places so tonight was a splurge. Minus a star. :/ read more

THE BAD EMPLOYEES MAKE DOMINOS OVERRATED! The delivery drivers are incompetent and the employees don't know how to handle or defuse situations. Poor customer service for me to be paying 40 bucks for 1 pizza. I admit I was frustrated on the phone but Rachel wasn't being helpful. She was very defensive and didn't try to understand where I was coming from. She also lied and told me the driver had waited outside and tried to call. That was false because I have no calls or messages in my logs. I had asked to have my order remade and was met with attitude. I asked them to at least show some urgency seeing as they messed up my delivery but she persisted to tell me my food is gonna take an hour over and over in an irritated tone. I curse when I speak but i haven't called her out of her name or felt that I was being irrational. I'm paying for a service and expect what I pay for. I want a refund and I'll be reporting this. read more

Despite the bad reviews and experience I can say I always had a good one at Dominos. Every time I called to place an order or even order online I never had a problem! My pizza is always delivered at the time they tell me or it even arrives a little early. Sometimes I do carryout and I never had to wait! Even ordering online is so easy and it allows you to track your pizza from step by step. I love the Honolulu Hawaiian Pizza which is sliced ham, bacon, pineapple and roasted red peppers with provolone cheese on a parmesan asiago crust. SUPER DELICIOUS! I also like there Thin Crust Pacific Veggie Pizza which has roasted red peppers, spinach, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes and black olives ( I tell them easy on the olives lol!) with feta. read more

Ordered a medium pizza last week despite continued problems with this Dominos location. The pizza arrived cold with the box smashed in and with pizza stuck to the top and bottom of the box --I will post a photo to go along with the review. I called the following day to speak to a manager about the incident. I was put in touch with an assistant manager who was unable to help. They had someone call back later that day. The management apologized for the misfortune and comped a pizza for my next order. A week later, I ordered another pizza using my comp. Everything seemed to go wrong yet again. The driver forgot my drink and the order had not been comped as promised. The driver requested I call the manager, so I did. The manager I spoke with was rude and unapologetic. Admittedly I was pretty angry at this point. This location has some major issues to work out. I would not recommend ordering from here. read more

I have ordered a few times here and no complaints. Tonight I ordered a vegetarian pizza. But when I came home and opened the box it had chicken and bacon. Mind you we are vegetarians. Mistakes happen, it's life. So I called the store to tell them and they refunded me and gave me a upgraded credit for next time! This is what customer service is all about. This Domino's is excellent! This is our favorite pizza establishment. They offer the best quality pizza with the best value by far. Our pizza is always awesome from here. Love the garlic parmesan white sauce. They always have great deals, and also offer pasta, subs, wings, salads and more. Plus they offer piece of the pie rewards, 10 points for every $10 or more order, 1x per day, and 60points earns you a free pizza. And if you are signed up for emails, once in a while they send an offer for other things you can use your points for. Their App and to their Online ordering couldn't be easier. I personally order from this Domino's all the time, and have only had a few mishaps. HOWEVER, the one (1) time I convince my parents to try it this happened..... Background: My father is 70 years old, this is during COVID-19 shelter in place. 05/31/2020 At 6:45pm we used the online app to order a Large personalized pizza. Order went through, pizza was paid for, eady. I showed my parents the Domino's Tracker (because I thought it was cool). As my dad was watching the tracker he asks me, "Is it normal for your order to sit on the "Double Checking Order" phase for 30 minutes?" I said, "No". So we called at 7:30pm. The employee who answered the phone proceeds to tell me, they were closing up for the night (at 7:45pm) because they had no delivery drivers. Our pizza was supposed to be delivered no later than 7:30pm. The employee continues to explain, a fellow employee should have called us to provide the option to pick up our pizza or cancel the order. Now, mind you, we have been waiting for this pizza to for 45 minutes, no one ever called us, and we had to call them to find out WTH was going on. What if they closed, we didn't pick it up, and no one called us. We would still be waiting for our freaking pizza, lol. Needless to say we went an picked up the pizza, they refunded the deliver fee, and upon request the tip we paid for the delivery. We got home with our mildly warm pizza, open the box an realize they forgot the Italian Sausage on our pizza!!!! That 30 minute double check worked real well (heavy sarcasm)! Lol Now I would have said all of this to Domino's in a customer survey, but when we tried to give them a bad review, the system would not allow it an then it crashed. So here I am on Yelp. ‍ Guess my parents won't EVER use Domino's again. I can not say the same. read more

Honestly, I order a lot of late night pizzas and I feel that is the true test of a good pizza shop. This place technically wasn't in my range per their corporate website, but since there isn't one closer they were able to override that. I can order a pizza at 12:45am, and if they close at 1am, they will still answer the phone and deliver my pizza with no qualms. Also I have two kids so when I ask them to call instead of knock, they oblige. I have ordered from Papa John's on Clayton and they will deliver my pizza the next day or just cancel my order. Props to this branch and the people who work there! As someone in the sales industry, you have earned my business and always delivered (pun intended) read more
