Tried the fungi pizza and added sausage. It was good a little too salty but manageable. A medium was plenty to have left overs. Ordered to go and appreciate that the to go orders have a sticker on the box to keep it shut. It's truly the details that matter.

This is not your ordinary pizza place, but a cool hang out spot with other great food besides pizza. Located tucked in a corner of a strip mall, there's ample parking and plenty of seating. Their pizzas are fantastic. Unlike others, Pizzalina pizza are not greasy nor overbaked to extra crispy; they had the right amount of toppings. But, I will say I was more impressed with their chicken wings and brussels sprouts; both very addicting.

Never even knew this restaurant was here. So happy we found this place. It's a cute restaurant with lots of space. We've actually visited it twice now within the last 2-3 weeks. Just wanted to try the other stuff they had in their menu. So far we love their square pizzas. The crust is amazing. We tried the regular round pizza but not a fan. The crust was kinda too thin and kinda hard. The bulgogi pasta was just ok, not a lot of flavor. The staff is super friendly. Food came out at a timely matter. Lots of parking too.

I stopped by for lunch to enjoy a $6 slice of Burrata pie. The crust was crispy and the pizza sauce was not sweet, not tart; just right. I did pair it with the best comforting cup of minestrone soup I have ever tasted. It hit the spot on this chilly Fall weather and it even tempted the guy next to me to order a bowl. The hand-made Arnold Palmer was refreshing and good with my meal. I will return to try a pasta dish/Autumn Salad. The service at the bar was exceptional! And ambiance was quiet.

Beautiful spring day. I was in the mood for a pizza and beer outdoors. This spot was perfect. I was seated outside and ordered the thin crust TAVERN-STYLE SAUSAGE + GIARDINERA PIZZA and the smoked mozzarella sticks with house made ranch and marinara. Paired with a light lager, it was the perfect Spring Day lunch! The pizza was super thin crusted, to the point of crispy. The mozzarella sticks were nicely fried and not heavily breaded. Our server was Rob and he was super cool, friendly and helpful. Everything he recommended was superb!

The pizza wasn't anything different and one major and important complaint was the customer service. Pizza - I ordered the Salsiccia and the sausage was really good. I'd give the pizza a 8.5/10 review Kids pasta - just regular spaghetti noodles and something you can make at home. 6/10 review Customer Service - I usually don't complain and still left a decent tip. I think it's what bothered me was when I was ordering, the waiter's attention was someplace else and made me feel unimportant. Also, I only ordered 3 items and 1 of the items, the kids pasta, was never placed so we had to wait after we were almost done with our pizza. I did talk to one waiter who was super nice and if not for him, I may have given a worse review. 5/10 review Like I said earlier, I normally don't write complaints about Customer service and I felt like this was needed. I was excited to visit this restaurant because I heard good things about it and hoping my next experience with them will be better!

Mozzarella sticks..IYKYK...but if you don't, now's the moment to have a nostalgic mozza stick experience. And I must say, everything about it was everything I wanted and more. I'm a huge mozzarella stick fan ~ it's always been one of my favorite apps and through adulthood, it's just not something I gravitate towards on a menu anymore. But Pizzalina's mozzie sticks are to put it simply..out of this world. And yes, deserve two paragraphs or more. The cheese is a smoked mozz, and comes with tomato sauce and a house-made ranch. Truly chef's kiss. Unfortunately no photos can be found from me, just memory. Thankfully others have snapped some on Yelp. The Caesarlina Salad was deliciously crisp and fresh ~ loved the creamy dressing. We ordered a kids pasta with Alfredo sauce and quite honestly..we wanted to order a second bowl for the table because it was that good! The pasta is house-made too (you can sub gluten-free penne made with quinoa flour, fyi). Would love to come back to try any of the pasta dishes including the short rib ravioli, rigatoni and vodka sauce, or even the spaghetti and meatballs. Another win. To end off the meal, the Tavern-style Sausage and Giardinera Pizza was delicious and so different! Now this is a thin and crispy square-cut pizza or as the fam likes to say, a 'bar pie', but packed with flavor. Sausage, mozz-provolone cheese blend, tomato sauce, pickled local veggies. A definite must-try if you enjoy those ingredients, and something that seems very special and unique to this restaurant. Pizza-wise they offer other red based pies, white sauce pies, create your own pizzas, squared pies, and more. Would love to come back and try more from the menu, a local brew from their awesome drink menu, or perhaps a glass of one of their wines on tap/cocktail, and the froyo which seems to always be a table pleaser. All in all, absolutely loved this neighborhood spot tucked away in a shopping center on Treat Blvd. It's fun, lively, fair pricing, great staff, and has a little something for everyone on the menu. Also multiple TV's for sports was a huge win for our fam too. Yum!

We were hoping to end our weekend with a good Italian-style pizza, so we ordered takeout from this new pizza place on Sunday night. Unfortunately, the pizza we received was extremely overcooked, with large portions of the crust burnt and bitter tasting. The texture and flavor were nothing like the authentic Italian-style pizza we were expecting. It was disappointing, especially for a first experience. Based on this order, we wouldn't choose to order from here again.

COLUMBUS : ezzo cup-n-char pepperoni, pickled red fresno peppers, bianco di napoli tomato sauce, hot honey $25

Was looking for by-the-slice pizza places in the area and just figured to stop in at Pizzalina for take-out. The line leading in and bustling kitchen were all great signs! The hostess gave great recommendations on pizzas and appetizers and ended up order the Columbus and Summer Salad. Summer Salad was totally up my alley! Butter lettuce, peaches, corn, shaved radish, pickled onion, pumpkin seeds, ancient grain farro, sonoma goat cheese, champagne vinaigrette. Totally delicious, fresh, bright and really screams summer. Highly recommend this one! The Columbus was a tavern style pizza with ezzo cup-n-char pepperoni, pickled red fresno peppers, bianco di napoli tomato sauce, hot honey. Love the cuppy pepperoni and the super thin, crust. I didn't find it exactly to be crispy, but definitely helped myself to more than one slice because of the thin, light crust. Totally foldable, btw and no sag. I thought the pizza was good, good amount of sauce and you get a bit of heat and some sweetness. Was it the better pizzas I've had? Not quite, it did leave a lot to be desired and thought it could even use a bit more pepperoni. In retrospect, I should've went either veg or meat leaning but this was recommended to be a popular one. Price point seemed a bit steep, about $55 for salad, pizza and a can of soda. Service was great and had urgency, which is something you don't find much nowadays. From ordering and into my hands, out the door was about 20 min. Efficient and speedy service!

We were sat down rather quickly, however service here on out was a bit slow. There seemed to be a mix up as we had already ordered and another service came to apologize and didn't know we had already been helped. I loved the salad. The pizza was good. Soft doughy with good flavor. I'd like to try another flavor next time as it just didn't seem quite balanced. The restaurant is nice, good ambience, clean. Staff was apologetic for slow service. I would give it another try. Maybe just an off night.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while. My aunt's Chicagoan partner highly recommended this place as there's really not many restaurants that make the tavern style pizza. We ordered a tavern style pizza and asked for it to be crispy and dry with sausage and pepperoni. It's so good we ordered one to go! We also had the caesar salad and rigatoni pasta. The star of the show is the tavern style pizza, which is well known in Chicago but hard to find in California. Service was very friendly as well.

We planned to try Pizzalina after hiking to the Mt. Diablo summit. Coming in with big appetites and a craving for pizza, Pizzalina did not disappoint! We decided to try an original pie and a "squared" pizza, to try out both styles. We got the original pie, with grana padano and pecorino romano cheese, aged mozzarella, garlic oil, fresh basil and Sicilian oregano; and the forest "squared" pie with roasted mushrooms, sauteed spinach, garlic cream, and shaved red onion. The original pie came out first and looked absolutely beautiful, topped with basil and pecorino romano cheese. The tomato sauce had a wonderful, vibrant and fresh flavor and the undercarriage was cooked super well so that the pizza had zero sag and was incredibly crunchy and crispy. The forest squared pie was also quite nice! I have had Detroit style and other square pie styles, but nothing quite like the Sicilian-inspired square pizza served here, which almost seemed to be cooked on a focaccia bread. Although this pizza looked bigger and larger than the round style pie, it was incredibly light and crispy, and the veggie toppings on the pizza really shined. Both of these pizzas were phenomenal and paired with each other nicely. Unfortunately, I live in San Francisco, so I'm not sure the next time I'll be back but would definitely come here again the next time I am in Walnut Creek!

Amazing food, baffling management! Pizzalina, you have so much potential. Truly, The food is fantastic, good enough that we've now visited twice despite the fact that your service feels like it's being run by someone in slow motion. Visit #1: We sat at the bar. The restaurant was busy, yes, but the person assisting the bar (who looked very much like the manager) absolutely was not. Slow to take orders, slow to acknowledge anyone, slow to move... Servers were racing around the restaurant trying to keep up, while he just stood behind the bar. But again, food was incredible, so we gave it another chance. Visit #2: We came to celebrate my nephew's birthday, and wow... consistency really is Pizzalina's strong suit, because that manager still didn't move. The restaurant was busy, and the servers were running around doing their best while getting zero help from the person who should be leading them (the manager). Our server wasn't great either, but honestly, how much can we blame her when she's essentially working solo? My dad orders a create-your-own pizza and asks for fresh tomato slices. The server tells us they don't have tomatoes because everything is canned or frozen and they "don't use fresh ingredients." Uhhh... what? We asked for a beer pitcher three times , from three different staff members. When we checked in with our server, she said, "Yeah, I'm still waiting for it too." Guess who's in charge of pouring beers? Yep. The manager who refuses to step out of the bar. I even tried waving him down at one point; he saw me, then looked away. Well that pitcher made it to us after we finished our pizza. The food is STILL delicious. The kitchen clearly knows what they're doing. Whoever is developing recipes and cooking back there deserves all the praise. Owners, if you're reading this: Please review your surveillance footage. You will very quickly understand the problem. Your manager literally does not move, does not greet anyone, and does not support the team in any way. The staff is drowning while he's... standing. Re-train him, replace him, anything because the food deserves a much better front-of-house experience. We still tipped 20%, but believe me, it wasn't earned. Fix the service, and this place will be outstanding. Until then, come for the food, brace yourself for the rest.

I ordered the fried spaghetti as an appetizer, a chicken Caesar salad, the Chicken Marsala for my entrée, and an espresso martini. Everything was absolutely delicious. Our server, Brittany, was friendly, personable, and took responsibility when there was a delay in service. I asked for a bowl of water for my dog as soon as we were seated, but it took about 20 minutes before it was brought to the table and our order was taken. She sincerely apologized, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, I've experienced similar delays with other servers during previous visits. I also noticed the bartender place coffee beans into an espresso martini using her bare hands. Although I didn't say anything at the time, it made me uncomfortable from a hygiene standpoint. When I ordered another drink, Brittany used a utensil to place the coffee beans into the drink, which I felt was much more appropriate. Overall, the food was outstanding, as always, and that's what keeps me coming back. I hope the restaurant improves its service times and reinforces proper food handling practices so every guest can enjoy the same great dining experience.

The pace of our dinner moved along exactly as expected. Service (Jess, et al) is friendly, professional and timely. Members of the service staff moved in and out efficiently to refill water, remove plates and keep our table uncluttered. We chose Il Fornaio Walnut Creek to celebrate both my birthday and my daughter's birthday. We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious, elegant dining room. When making our reservation, we noted that we were celebrating two birthdays. As a party of 10, including a 5-month-old baby and a 3-year-old toddler, we were seated at a large family-style table in a quieter area of the restaurant. It felt like we had our own private celebration space. The kitchen did not disappoint. We ordered two Tomahawk steaks, which were expertly prepared and carved tableside by the chef. Every dish we ordered was delicious, and the affogato was one of the best I have ever had. Unfortunately, our waiter fell short of the restaurant's otherwise high standards. Despite ordering appetizers, salads, and drinks, our water glasses remained empty for extended periods. My husband eventually had to speak with the manager because neither the waiter nor his assistant seemed attentive. Since the restaurant was not busy on a Monday evening, this was disappointing. The manager was excellent and quickly addressed our concerns. When she asked about the birthday celebration, I explained that both my daughter and I were celebrating, yet only one candle was provided despite our mentioning this during the reservation and to our waiter. The manager immediately apologized for the oversight. Another issue arose when we requested the dessert menu. Our grand baby was becoming restless as it approached bedtime, so we wanted to order quickly. However, our waiter repeatedly told us to wait until he had completely cleared the table before bringing the desert menu. It was an unnecessary delay. Obviously, we could have already been reading through the dessert menu while he was clearing the table. Our waiter did not know about time Management. To make matters worse, the complimentary birthday ice cream was served to the wrong person, even though the waiter had been told multiple times who the birthday celebrants were. We also requested an extra candle for my daughter's tiramisu, but that request was ignored. We shared one birthday candle. Despite the service issues, I still consider this restaurant a very good for dining experience because of its outstanding food, attentive manager, talented chefs, and warm atmosphere. We spent over $800 on dinner and typically leave a 25% tip for excellent service. However, due to the lack of attentiveness by the waiter and waiter assistant, we gave only a 20% tip. (Honestly, the chef and the manager deserved the tip More than the waiter himself.) Please don't give this waiter a large party because, the service has a negative impact and leaves a sour taste. I would give this restaurant a 5 star, it only fell short because of this waiter. Il Fornaio Walnut Creek offers food and ambiance that rival much more expensive restaurants. With more attentive service and better attention to detail, the overall experience would be truly exceptional.

My husband and I split the chopped Italian salad, which we both agreed was rather flavorless and definitely underdressed. I ended up pouring some of the oil and balsamic vinegar from the bread dipping plate into the salad, which made it a little better. I ordered the Tuesday Trio which was a sampling of three supposedly popular pasta dishes. The Tagliatelle with Ragu was OK but a little dry. The corkscrew pasta with sun-dried tomatoes and pesto cream sauce was actually quite good, but my biggest disappointment was their rigatoni à la vodka, which is one of my favorite dishes. This restaurant's version was heavily flavored with smoky bacon, which, in my opinion really drowned out the lightness of a creamy vodka sauce. It was also pretty salty - I couldn't really eat it. However, my husband's Pollo de Toscana was delicious. Overall, I was unimpressed. I know there are better Italian places out there. Probably won't be back.

Chef Hassan created a customized menu for our group, and every dish was beautifully prepared. I ordered the Beef Wellington, well, because there was absolutely no reason not to when that's on the menu! HA! It was incredible. The flaky dough wrapped around that filet mignon, ooh, amazing. It sat on creamy potatoes and veggies of some sort (it's been a minute, I can't recall the exact option). The private room was nicely lit, there were some candles and flowers across the table as well as wall decor. The server and busser took a little to get things rolling, but eventually things were moving along. We also had a few children in our party, and the staff was wonderful accommodating, which made the evening even more enjoyable. We were so impressed that we came back a second time - just my lady, my 6-month-old daughter, and myself - and it was on a busy Saturday night when you typically need reservations. We were lucky enough that Onur (manager) welcomed us with no hesitation and have us a little space to relax with our daughter and enjoy a wonderful dinner. We ordered the Appetizer for Two, which includes: Bruschetta, Caprese, Prosciutto Melone, & Beet Salad - a perfect amount for the two of us. Then we each got the Beef Wellington. Again, never a disappointment. YOU MUST TRY IT! To finish the night I had a latte and we shared a salted caramel gelato. Absolutely delightful. If you haven't tried La Fontaine, I highly recommend giving them a try. The weekends are busy, so if you're able to step out on a week night, do it. Ask for Onur the manager and he'll take care of you. Enjoy

The staff member that checked us in offered no smile or effort to be personable when seating us nor mentioned our anniversary which was noted in our reservation. This continued through her work at our table over the course of the night. Our server at least smiled on his visits to our table, but there is an opportunity for the staff to better connect with guests for a more positive overall experience. They offer good wine by the glass options and a nice pour for the price. We started with the octopus appetizer which we had enjoyed on our prior visit and it was once again fantastic. We had the duck and beef Wellington for entrees. The duck was a nicely prepared and sauced breast. The beef Wellington was fine, with a few medium rare bites in the middle very good. The dish would have been more successful if more of the beef had been medium rare. The lack of personable service on this visit made for a mediocre visit. Our anniversary was noted in our reservation but was never acknowledged, which was disappointing.

Our group of 3 sat outside in their lovely side alleyway and feasted on 6 delicious shared small plates plus their scrumptious dessert sampler. This was plenty of food for all of us, although I might have been able to force down one more small plate since everything was so delectable. We ordered: -- Cacio e pepe biscuit -- Esquites (Mexican street corn) -- Empanadas -- Tacos al pastor -- Ceviche tostadas -- Alaskan black cod The black cod dish was seriously incredible and a standout amid the other wonderful dishes. The waiter mentioned it had been on their menu for 22 years and that people traveled there to try it. I can believe it! Speaking of service, it was exceptional. Along with our friendly main waiter, there were other staff refilling water glasses and changing table settings quickly as needed. We waited on nothing but also never felt interrupted. Since Va da Vi IS a wine bar, I should mention that wine was also wonderful. I tried their Pinot Noir flight and enjoyed all 3 of the 3 oz samplings, especially the 2023 Status Quo and the 2023 "Klee" by Roots Wine Co. Is it pricey? Well, a little, but not for the quality. I've eaten at places just as expensive and left far less satisfied. I can see the bill adding up quickly for a group who wants a huge meal, but if you're into just sipping and nibbling on amazing food and wine, come!

Menu items are on the high side, so be prepared to shell out some dough. We had a nice waiter, pleasant, cheerful, and very accommodating. I would give the waiter a rating between 4 and 5 stars. It was near closing time when we got there, but we didn't feel rushed to order or eat our dinner so that they could clean up and close the restaurant and head on home. We started with an appetizer and garlic bread (see picture). We had about six pieces of bread and as you can see in the picture, it was on the burnt side. I cannot believe that for the price you pay for a bread, they would serve this. I also ordered a black coffee, but it tasted like it had been sitting there since the morning and tasted really nasty. I asked to have a hot tea instead. Food was good. We ordered spaghetti, carbonara, some chicken dish, and a grilled salmon. All the food tasted delicious and we cleaned out the carbonara and spaghetti. After we ate our dinner, they gave my son-in-law a slice of tiramisu with a lighted candle. Overall, it was a pleasant evening and we enjoyed our food (except for the garlic bread). I'd like to see them do me good and give me a nice garlic bread the next time I eat here.
