    Combo pizza

Order a combo pizza it's a solid option in the area. The toppings are fresh and the crust is on the thicker side. The service was fast and friendly.

Love Bill & Balis. It's a cool little spot that's a combination, pizza, beer, wine, sports bar all in one. The pizzas are rectangular (maybe Roma style) with crunchy crusts and excellent toppings. I've been coming here on and off for a few years. Today their tap beers were limited but they had other canned beers in the fridge. I'm not a wine guy, but they had a decent amount of wines to try. There's an outdoor patio and it's doggo friendly. Across the lane from Pleasant Hill Bart with lots of street parking and a garage nearby. Definitely a small business worth supporting

We went on a Friday during lunch and it was quite quiet. It was tucked away in the Avalon apartments, right next to Bart. Definitely has an elevated sports bar vibe with lots of tvs with mainly sports playing. This place does the Roman style rectangle pizza with interesting specialty options. We ordered an appetizer the stracciatella - which had hot honey. Pizza was bacon fig breeze and it delicious with a hint of sweetness. There was also a kids menu but I didn't get a good look, hoping to bring our kids here one day - as its open space looks kid-friendly.

We came here for the first time today during Sunday lunch and it was very quiet. I think the location is too hidden to get foot traffic but we were determined to try it. The menu was simple and they have a decent alcohol menu too. The kids wanted pepperoni pizza and fries and we ordered an arancini balls as an appetizer. The order process was easy by scanning the QR code to order or through the waiter. There are a lot of big TVs on the wall at all corners so it is good if you want to watch sports while eating. The food came out quickly and we liked all the dishes! The fries came in a giant bucket and was super crispy! The pepperoni pizza came in a rectangular shape and was pretty good. The bottom can prob be a bit more crispy but it is definitely yummy. The arancini ball has a little kick to it and we loved it. We will definitely come back if we are looking for quality pizza in the neighborhood!

Very causal atmosphere. Came in for late lunch and had the caprese salad and share the combo pizza. Service was great! Viviana was super helpful and patient with us as we made our final choices. Lots of TVs showing all Sunday football.

Highly disappointed! So I've ordered the kids pizza before and I've ordered a personal pizza (1st time today) The ONLY difference outside of the price is $5!! One is $10 one is $15 (this is under the new management and name) And let me tell you the only difference between a personal pizza and a kid pizza outside the price is NOTHING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. The personal pizza is just cut into TWO DIAGONAL slices while the kids pizza is cut into FOUR SQUARE slices meanwhile there's a $5 difference to get one over the other when there the SAME pizza lol

Bill and Balis version of hazy IPA on tap

Rainy day out and about I decided to try this fairly new spot in pleasant hill. Bill and Balance s were s located next to pleasant hill bart station . We were greater by Ben upon entering. Place is like a big open room with Bar in the middle . Pizza and wings appears to be the thing . Sat down at the bar . Tv viewing all over which is a plus for a big game . Ok wanted quick app mozzarella sticks . Sorry sir we are all out (Big red flag ). Hmmm ok let's just get started with the wings . Ordered the chicken Parmesan . Dry and I'm a guy likes crispy wings and the were not another red flag. So what was good . Pizza taste great along the beer that was on tap ther version of a hazy IPA. So the taste and presentation alone would make have the pizza. A little pricy but well made. BTW I had the Combo.

I visited this restaurant over the weekend. It's located near the Pleasant Hill/CC BART station, and I was able to find front-row parking. When I arrived, the restaurant was empty. Several TVs were playing the Olympic Games, and the music added to the lively atmosphere. There was plenty of seating at the bar. I had previously ordered food for delivery to work and enjoyed it, so I wanted to share the experience with hubby. I drove from Dublin to have a late lunch. We shared a large combo and ordered a side of garlic parmesan chicken wings. Chicken wings were crispy - a little dry/chewy but it's covered in the sauce which works. It comes with ranch dressing - a little less buttermilk and a lot more dill. The pizza was incredible! It wasn't the typical round shape; it was rectangular. The crust was amazingly light and doughy, and the fresh ingredients made a difference - the olives were cut in half, not sliced like donuts, and the pizza wasn't drowning in grease like some others. And let's not forget about their to-go boxes. They are high-quality and can easily fit a keyboard. I LOVE THIS PLACE! It's hands down my go-to pizza spot from now on. I hope they open a location in Dublin.

Tasty pizza and generous toppings, though the cheese sometimes gets a bit coagulated. Good gathering place, as it's spacious and clean, with lots of room and large TVs playing different games. The service was okay, a bit on the brusque side.

    Popeye's Passion

This place is a short walk from where we live so we finally decided to try it out on a Friday night for dinner. It's conveniently located near the Pleasant Hill Bart station. They have outdoor and indoor seating with a bar. The bartender was really the only one working - he was serving, taking orders, and manning the bar. There were maybe only a few others who dined in like us but alot of takeout orders. They serve Roman style pizzas. Plenty of options for meat and vegetarian eaters. We got the Popeye's Passion, which had artichokes, spinach, mushrooms, and mozzarella. I loved the toppings, as well as how cheezy and thick the mozzarella was. However, I would have liked a sauce added as a topping like a red or pesto sauce. The cheese also came off of the bread pretty easily. I will say the portions are huge - we ordered the large and had a few pieces left... The large size could easily feed 2-3. Glad we got to try it, probably wouldn't go out of my way to get it again but it is nearby our home!

    Small spicy calabrian firecracker pizza
    Sara B.

Had an absolutely amazing lunch at Bill & Bali's. Got a small Calabrian firecracker no mushrooms. Super spicy but so flavorful and that crust is to die for. I live square fluffy pizzas. Cannot wait to go back and try more off the menu. While food and service are great, parking is an absolute nightmare in this area. With all the shopping, other restaurants, Bart and apartments, the two very tiny "garages" do not help at all. At 11am both lots were completely full and I had to circle for street parking. This aside, GET THE FOOD, try them! You won't be disappointed. They even doordash. Only one other customer entered while I was there which is a total disappointment. Their food is definitely worth a crowd. The decor inside is nice, clean and open feeling, including 6 TVs.

    Calabrian Firecracker & Popeyes Passion
    Danielle K.

A pizza spot is a great addition to this part Walnut Creek / Pleasant Hill as there are not many other restaurants walking distance to here. Street parking was easily available at the time. Unfortunately the pizza was a bit of a let down, especially for the high price. I had a small Calabrian Firecracker and small Popeye's Passion. The Calabrian was pretty spicy, I thought it would have had more balance with the hot honey, good flavor underneath all the spice though. While the Popeye's Passion was lacking seasonings. Both overall were underwhelming and I doubt I would return.

Bill and Bali's is all about the quality of their pizzas. The dough takes about four days to make, and pricing is a bit higher in comparison to other pizza places, but it's worth it in terms of consistency and flavor. The size of the large pizzas were big, but it tasted light enough to where I didn't feel immediately bloated or put into a food coma. Restrooms have a code, so you'll have to ask the staff before using. Service was alright, it took awhile to get our drinks, but the owners are nice. Good place to catch a game or yummy dinner, and easy parking. Food 4.5/5 Service 3.5/5

The entire collection of wine was exposed to heat and ruined but they are still selling it to unknowing customers. Many of the wines that I inspected had corks bulging out past the foil and were discolored. The Syrah I picked and thought was safe looked good but under the foil, the cork was bad and yes the wine was rancid. I wish that was just a side story but the glass of wine I purchased was also foul. It was the most expensive Napa Cab they serve. I asked a few times how long the bottle was open and he did not know but guessed maybe a night or two before. This tells me a few things; they are not keeping wine fresh or pumping out the air or using a Coravin system for example. They are not writing the date opened even. Also in my personal opinion, the wines here are the lower tier to keep pricing down and profits high. It just makes the experience low for the customer. Lastly I did have a cheese plate and it was also terrible. The staff have no knowledge of wine. So it just ends up being a happy hour place for people to drink cheap wine. I'm sorry for the former failed business and appreciate trying to take it over but the business model is not working. It's not worthy of business woman of the year unfortunately. Lesson learned: Californians know wine!

I did not even think to alert my friends about what I read because I thought after reading other Yelp reviews and looking up their Instagram posts with beautiful photos and people looking like they were enjoying this restaurant, that what was described in that 1-star review must have been a rare occurrence. Boy was I wrong because to my dismay when we arrived at their restaurant door last evening, it happened to us and I did not want to believe it, but all the evidence was there to show they were in fact, CLOSED. Two other customers and our group arrived at the same time in advance of our 6pm reservation time, only to see their door closed, lights off, with nobody inside. We were confused not only because we did not receive a message notifying us that their restaurant would be closed and our reservation needed to be canceled, but also because the customers who arrived when we did said they had booked their reservation yesterday, meaning the reservation system was still active. What's more is we did not see any signage on their door or windows about being closed, but instead we saw an EBMUD notice on the door stating water service payment was overdue, which we were not expecting to see upon our arrival. Our group needed to quickly figure out a plan B for our birthday celebration dinner, as our friend had planned and reserved The Library Social Club over a month ago. I dine at many restaurants and any time there needs to be a change or cancelation for any reason by a restaurant business, I have received an e-mail, a text, or a phone call alert, as a customer courtesy call, and I have at the very least, even seen hand written notes on restaurant doors and windows as signage alerting customers of their business being closed. Needless to say, we were disappointed and frustrated by this incident today. We drove from out of town to try this restaurant that was not even open when customers had reservations. Fortunately, our friend proposed a different restaurant that we could walk to and they sat us promptly upon arrival. We enjoyed their delicious food instead!

All of them were good and the shallot vinaigrette was the cherry on top ! He got the tortilla soup and we shared the cheesy crabby bread . He dipped it in the soup ( boys lol ) and sad it was good . My personal opinion I love the bread they used ! And nice flavor with out taking away from the nice amount of crab they put on it ! The steak Cobb salad was a very nice portion and the steak was cooked medium rare just how I like it . I was expecting it to be cut up pieces but no they gave you a whole filet which is nice if you want something light and filling I'd definitely recommend this salad . The clams were amazing ! The sauce was so savory just added a dash of lemon and I was in heaven . Plus the cheesy toasted bread they give you to slurp all that excellence lol top tier . Crab omelette was made with egg whites only no yolk , and had ample amount of LUMP crab meat no skimpy at all ! Potatoes were seasoned nice . And the waffles ( which comes by itself heads up that's why we ordered sausage and bacon as a side 8$ each kinda pricey. But we're very thick and good ) the waffles comes with a berry butter spread fresh fruit . Fluffy but still crisp. The limoncello mimosa flavor wise loved the limon but lacked the mosa part . Overall I'd highly recommend and want to come back to try more options . It was nice seeing all the happy families and the cutesy babies all around . Today was a beautiful day thankyou Wences !
