    Margherita and Combination Pizza
    Alan D.

It was friends birthday over the weekend and they chose to have this pizza place to cater for us. I never heard of them, but I am always down to try new pizza. From what they told me, the pizzas only come as one size and man I was surprised to see what arrived. The slices are huge. There were three options ordered, but I opted for the Margarita and Combo Slice. Margarita: This is your normal "cheese" sort of pizza, with lots of cheeses and basil. It was really good and refreshing and not too oily. It was a thin crust slice, so holding it was a bit tricky but I still enjoyed the pizza itself. Combo: Can never go wrong with a supreme pizza, and this one hit the spot. Not too overwhelming with the toppings and the pizza sauce was phenomenal. Overall, really enjoyed the slices and can see myself ordering from here again

Pizza and knots were so good!!! Definitely worth the drive if you are not from Martinez. Very friendly staff as well

The pizza and knots is so good. The pizza had a great crust and was not floppy. Definitely worth the drive to Martinez. Very friendly staff as well

DELICIOUS! My boyfriend and I stumbled across Vinnie's while looking for a place to eat pizza before going to the movies for a date. We were nearby, saw the reviews here on Yelp, and took ourselves over to see for ourselves what all the good stuff was about. Staff are so nice and you tell they work hard to make this pizza what it is! We ordered the margherita pizza and garlic knots and immediately knew the food was 5/5! The flavor was rich, the cheese pulls were there, and the garlic knots themselves left us satisfied. Love that we got our food fresh and we definitely noted that this is a solid place to grab a bite out in Martinez!

Finally got the opportunity to stumble in. I'm picky, and I loved it. Friendly helpful staff. Delicious pizza. Few places make a Stromboli and we will back for more of them. The grandma pizza and the pepperoni were also excellent. If you live close, I'm jealous. It's great. Only a few outside tables, they were open at lunch, so you might be eating on the go. It's worth it.

We ordered a pepperoni pizza to go and waited about 20 mins. It was piping hot when we got it. Overall it was good but not the best pizza that we have had. I thought it was on the pricier side. I think a large pepperoni was about $36. We aren't usually in Martinez so I don't think we will be back but it was nice to try a new place out. They also sell slices during lunch.

I found this place on yelp and we decided to try a new restaurant. There's a big parking lot and a lot of small shops. This place is right on a corner. We went on a Friday at 5pm. So it's not a restaurant where you can eat. It's very small but there's no tables. The menu is right on top where you can read it. So the menu had slices of pizza but they didn't let me order that. The cashier told me after 4pm they don't sell slices. We ordered a large margarita pizza it was about $30. We waited about 35 minutes. The pizza was a pretty good size and was very good. We were able to finish a large pizza. The pizza was not greasy I really enjoyed it.

I found my new local favorite. The pizza here is exceptional. Sauce is tangy but not too sweet. The crust is thin and cooked perfectly. The toppings are fresh and flavorful. And the slices are fat. The deserts are good, tried Sicilian canoli for the first time and enjoy it. The best part about the pizza is that it Isn't greasy. And the bottom of the pizza doesn't get all soggy. I really enjoyed the food. Definitely coming back as it's now one of my top 5 pizza spots

This is the best pizza ever...!! The service is quick and friendly. There is no dine-in, but there's tables outside which is perfect for the summer time. I been here maybe four times? and never had an issue. My friend even said "the pizza looks straight out of a cartoon" because of the way it looks perfect.

This place has FANTASTIC pizza! Thin crust & flavorful. Being an NY pizza lover, it's been a long time since I've been able to love a California pizza place but this place really brings the NY pizza to us! Put your order in early though cuz they get slammed!

First, let me talk about the complimentary bread and dipping sauce. The bread is not sourdough, which I was grateful that it wasn't, and it was very soft and delicious. The dipping sauce appeared to be tomato based with cheese and garlic mixed in, and it paired extremely well with the bread. For our appetizer, we chose the Insalata di Caesar, which is romaine lettuce tossed in their house made Caesar dressing made with eggs and anchovies, then topped with croutons and parmesan cheese. Overall, the Caesar salad was good. My only critique was that since they make such excellent bread, I wish they had made their own garlic croutons as well. Instead, the croutons felt store bought. Aside from that, the salad was very enjoyable. It was priced at $10.95 as of December 2025. For my entrée, I ordered the Fettuccine al Pesto, which includes fettuccine pasta, shrimp, mushrooms, white wine, and garlic in a creamy pesto sauce made with walnuts and anchovies. Overall, the dish was delicious. I really enjoyed the creamy pesto sauce with white wine and garlic, which elevated the flavor beyond a standard pesto and paired beautifully with the fettuccine. The mushrooms were also a great addition. The shrimp were plump and juicy, but my only complaint was that they lacked seasoning and flavor. I wish they had been a bit more seasoned. This dish was $19.95 as of December 2025. The restaurant's interior ambience was surprisingly more family style than fancy, and we actually much prefer that. Our server was also very friendly and helpful, which added to the overall positive dining experience.

The sauce was ok and the crust was fine but other than that it was just again ok. I ordered a Spaghetti Carbonara and I took a bite or two and just couldn't taste much. I was fine with that, got two crab and one shrimp. I ordered a Sangria and asked if I could order individual oysters. She explained that yes I could but it was happy hour, so the set of 6 oysters was only $15. Um YES please and TY! We ate two servings of bread an do bitter while we waited for the entrees. The filet was tender and seasoned well in addition to being cooked a bit over medium, had a large portion of spinach and mashed potatoes, and came with the same red wine reduction sauce as the mushrooms which we found a bit odd. The minutely seasoned halibut has to have been the tiniest piece of fish we've ever seen served and only had six small potato quarters and like 6-7 stalks of asparagus with it. Overall, we ate everything because of the small halibut entree, but will most likely not return. I suggest the owners have more than one server on a Friday night, For everyone's sake.

It was incredibly fresh, melt-in-your-mouth tender, with a perfectly crisp sear that locked in all of its delicate flavor. Every bite was moist, flaky, and cooked to perfection. Tucked right on First Street across from the bay in downtown Benicia, this place has completely earned its reputation as the town's culinary crown jewel. From the moment you walk in, the warmth is unmistakable -- and it's not an accident. Owners Kenneth Coker and Kevin Shaw built this restaurant to feel like their own living room, and it shows in every detail, right down to the name (a sweet nod to their beloved Fox Terrier). That personal touch translates into genuinely attentive service that never feels stiff or rehearsed. Now, the food. The Beef Wellington is the stuff of legend -- perfectly rendered pastry, a filling that melts before you even chew, and clearly a labor of love from the kitchen. The scallops are seared to that impossible perfection where the outside caramelizes but the inside stays buttery-soft. And if salmon gnocchi in vodka sauce is on the menu when you go, order it without hesitation -- it's rich, comforting, and impossible to stop eating. Even the truffle burger, which almost feels like an afterthought on a menu this elevated, has become a neighborhood obsession for good reason. Cocktails are crafted with the same care as the food -- inventive, well-balanced, and clearly the product of a team that takes its bar program seriously. And if you can snag a reservation in The Speakeasy, the intimate back room, do it. It's easily one of the most romantic, memorable settings for a special occasion in the entire Bay Area. Baxters isn't just a great restaurant -- it's a genuine gathering place, the kind of spot a whole town falls in love with. Whether it's date night, a family celebration, or just a nightcap at the bar, Baxters delivers an experience that's warm, delicious, and utterly memorable every single time. The lunch menu offers some very different items than were offered four decades ago, but some items from those days are still featured today. (Items like clam chowder and fried prawns, for example.) Our server, Elizabeth, was great. She answered our questions and ensured we were happy with our food, at least as far as she could ensure... the food, however, was rather mediocre. We ordered a variety of food ranging from crab artichoke dip, to a chicken club, to fish and chips, to clam chowder, to a burger, and finally crab cakes. The starter, sandwich, fish and chips, and burger were all okay. The crab cakes however were not liked by those in our group that tasted them. (A lot of filler and not much crab from what one of our party members said). In any case, I mentioned this and the crab cakes, that went mostly uneaten, were removed from our bill. Bravo for good customer service! My understanding is that the outdoor dining that we very much enjoyed, was added during Covid. Back in the 80's the outdoor eating area was all parking lot. I took a look inside to see what else has changed. The main interior dining room looks almost identical to what it looked like 40+ years ago. The previous secondary indoor dining area has now been converted to a food preparation and employee only area. The bar itself looks the same as it did in 1984, but the area around the bar looks much more like dining space than it used to. This may be a good thing as attitudes on indulgences have certainly changed over the decades. I suspect at some point I'll return, hopefully it won't be decades...
