As of early May, its mostly cheerful, efficient, and helpful staff shall be sadly displaced once this shop permanently closes due to non-negotiable bargaining with a greedy landlord, refusing to renew the shop's lease, probably seeking a higher-end tenant. It's a horrendous loss for both employees and loyal customers. Pizza My Heart shall be greatly missed at this special location. read more

I've been here once before, a few years ago, and recall disliking the pizza that I've had (it was probably one of their vegetarian or chicken pizzas). Went back more recently and tried slices of the mushroom pizza as well as the manresa (and some chicken wings with bbq sauce, of course). Still feel the same way. Not the best pizza that I've had - did not really enjoy it. They do make it fresh, but the pizza keeps barely warm by the time it gets home. I bet the same pizza would taste a 1000X better when eaten piping hot, so probably better to dine-in. And like others have said, the place is super clean, and all the staff are just wonderful. Great atmosphere, but the pizza leaves much to be desired. I may give the place one more try, but only for a dine-in. read more

Recently picked up a 14" Watsonville Apple pizza and was absolutely delicious! It was our first time trying this. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous amount of pepperoni, sausage, and bacon toppings. While I'm generally not a big fan of Gorgonzola cheese, the small sprinkle of it on the pizza was suprisingly good. It provided just the right amount of sharp tang. Pizza My Heart makes the best ranch dressing so be sure to grab some for your pizza if you're a fan of pizza + ranch. Been here many times to pick up slices of cheese, pepperoni, pepperoni and sausage, and their D'lex chicken and bacon. All of these are great especially after being heated up in the pizza oven for a few minutes. I do, however, miss the availablily of mushroom slices at the window but have ordered it as a "create your own" pizza. With their large clean dining area, there has never been a shortage of seats. Since it's located on the outskirts of the main Walnut Creek downtown, there's usually a few parking spaces just outside the restaurant. I had always heard about Pizza My Heart, namely their original Capitola restaurant, because I have always seen people rocking their t-shirts! Thankfully, when a location opened in Walnut Creek, I was able to try it finally. I was honored to be a guest at Pizza My Heart's Yelp Elite Party a while ago and try lots of their delicious slices! I have been back several times since. Most recently, my family was still hungry after we met up with friends at the new Bare Bottle nearby. Their kitchen was wildly backed up, and they weren't taking any more food orders. We left hungry, and Pizza My Heart was on the way to our car, so we knew exactly where to go! Pizza My Heart sells pizzas by the slice, which comes in really handy, especially when the family wants different toppings! It was already late, and we only needed a slice each, so Pizza My Heart was perfect. It was a nice surprise to see the bright yellow surfboard we signed hung up in the restaurant. My son came with me into the restaurant to order, and he was excited to spot his name that I signed on the board! After spotting the surfboard, I was warmly greeted by Marcos and was delighted because I remembered him from the Yelp Elite Party! He was so fun and helpful at the Yelp Elite Event (we even gave him a big cheer and round of applause at the YEE because he was that good!), and I was also treated to his excellent customer service again! He told me about what slices they had with a big smile and friendly demeanor. He was quick to take our order and get us our slices boxed up. Slices here are a tad on the pricier side, but I don't think you'll feel that way when you see them chock full of toppings! They offer a slice for everyone, from vegan slices to dairy-free (which I needed to order when my nursing baby had a milk protein allergy) to a hearty slice for meat lovers, which is packed with all types of meat. Pizza my heart has a great corner restaurant and nice setup for kids. Pizza is always hot and fresh and the staff is really attentive. I order from an app from here all the time to get pizzas that are at the end of the day to prevent waste, and they are always ready to deliver, with really good different types of pizzas. We like their big booths and nice atmosphere. They always have fresh toppings, and bunch of choices and are reasonably priced. Bathroom is clean and facilities are comfortable. This is Walt from Walt's Adventures and I find myself at Pizza My Heart in Walnut Creek, California. This pizzeria differs from their competitors in several ways. Firstly, besides offering their usual selections of titled pizzas, salads, and garlic bread and deserts, they temp their patrons with several by the slice selections. One may choose to purchase or combine any number of premade slices from regular to veggie to even vegan. Secondly, Pizza My Heart goes above and beyond for their customers. We ordered a 12in pizza but, because newer employees were still getting used to the operating systems, we were charged and received our selection in 18in. We did not disagree with our delivery but the management themselves decided to give us compensation. I dare say that any other restaurant would have simply just taken our money but Pizza My Heart not only created us fantastic tasting pizzas but showed us that their actions do indeed come forth from their hearts. It was a joy to find this eatery. They will be expanding to the metropolis of Pleasant Hill and I look forward to giving in to their slice varieties. read more

Great vegan options! I didn't realize they had vegan options and now we'll be frequenting Pizza My Heart. Ordering was easy and the pizzas are HUGE. I was put off by the price at first not realizing the size of the pizza. Everything tasted fresh and staff was friendly. They have vegan cheese (Miyokos liquid mozzarella I believe) and beyond meat brand Italian sausage and field roast brand pepperonis. The crust was fantastic! I would love to see beyond meat brand pepperoni and some follow your heart mozzarella on the menu too! What a gem in downtown Walnut Creek! I never knew we had such a cool, traditional American pizza place with an outstanding surfing vibe. Kudos to the owners for designing and running such an awesome restaurant and for having great employees at this location. Alex greeted us with a smile and gave amazing recommendations for pizza styles we didn't know existed. We ordered an 18-inch pizza for the three of us, and it was more than enough! Manresa (with cheese) and Big Sur (with roasted garlic) were excellent, proposed by the host Alex (who gets the 5) selections. The restaurant's design is stylish, with surfboards covering the walls and an authentic yellow dining table with the logo at the center. There's an intriguing memorial picture path to the restrooms. While visiting my cousins in Lafayette we all went here for dinner.. It just so happens i have been to this chains other locations in Capitola, Santa Cruz, and Monterey.. in fact i used to drive an hour just to have pizza to eat. This place contunues the tradition of just great pizza. My favorite is the clam pizza, and the pesto pizza..and their mushroom pizza is terrific too. I really love that thin crust, nice and crunchy and tastes soo good. So.glad to see this place in this town now. I just wish they would open one in Palm Springs, my home away from home. read more

Love to watch them toss the pizza dough as you walk in. Then you select from a large assortment of pizzas. Pieces are bigger than normal. Staff is very cordial and fun. Pizza My Heart is located on the corner towards the outskirts of the downtown area in Walnut Creek. It's not a long walk away from the theater, but a bit more of a walk away from the main parts of the downtown eatery areas of of the, well, Main streets. It's a nice medium sized place, and certainly got a very pizza place kind of decor to it. It kind of feels like a bar when you first step in, but it's got the booths and such you'd find at an older style fashion type of eatery. When you first walk in you head right where you will find the line. There's two ways to order from here. Either from the already made pizzas that they have ready for you to grab a slice and head out, or you can have them make something else fresh that isn't there (or if you just want a fresh version of a pizza that is there not missing random slices). Certainly makes it good for people on the go during the day, or people who want to just sit down for their meal. Pricing wise, it's comparable, particularly for Walnut Creek downtown area. Certainly compared to other pizza places not in the downtown area, it's still pretty comparable. They have a decently sized menu and options. They have some more interesting pairings and toppings for some of their pizzas, but they also have just the classics as well, so there will be a style for everybody. Service here was good, very friendly, no issues. Let's talk pizza. Admittedly, I didn't do the ordering since it was my friend's recommendation we visit here today, so I don't remember the name but do remember the contents of it, or more so, the toppings. The pizza was quite tasty. The crust certainly shines, as often I always have a hard time just eating down to the crust each time. It's made so thin, but not too thin that you can't even grab it by the crush, and quite airy and doughy (in a good way) to the texture. The toppings themselves were really nice. All of them were fresh, from the artichokes, to the meats, to the sauces as well. My only comment regarding the pizza was that I sort of wish there was a bit more sauce on it, but otherwise, it was a really well balanced pie. Overall, Pizza My Heart is a solid stop for pizza goers in Walnut Creek downtown, especially if you're killing time before a show at Century, or want to grab a slice after a movie, it's right around the corner. And I think we made the right decision because the pizza here was really delicious. we ordered two pizzas: - BIG SUR: 40 Cloves of Roasted Garlic, Pepperoni, Sausage, Portobello Mushrooms & Green Onions. This appears to be their most popular pizza, and I could understand why. The toppings really go well together harmoniously with one another. I especially really liked the roasted garlic and the portobello mushroom slices. Price was for the 12" size $19.50 as of Aug 2022. - WATSONVILLE APPLE: Green Apple Slices, Pepperoni, Sausage, Bacon, Green Onions, Gorgonzola, Olive Oil, & Garlic. This one was really good too, and the "fruity" flavor of the apple slices were almost unnoticeable when I added but it did add a little bit of sweetness. Price was the same as that of Big Sur. While the pizza in general was really l good, I would probably not get the 12" anymore, because I've tried Pizza My Heart elsewhere in the past (and we got the larger sizes) and I felt like the crust was much better on the larger sizes. The crust felt more fluffy and bread-ey. Meanwhile, the one we had here was very close textured and kind of greasy. But, again, in general I really still liked their pizza. I could eat pizza from here everyday, I think. Their specialty pizzas are so good. My husband picked up a vegan Big Sur pizza for me, and it's so delicious. I've also had the Vegan Diablo and I can't which is my favorite. The Big Sur is great if you want something hearty with more faux meat. The Mt Diablo has a little tang to it from the peppers. Both delicious! They use the best vegan ingredients! Also they're pretty fast. On a weeknight, we ordered two 12" pizzas and it took 20 minutes to bake. I highly recommend Pizza My Heart. This was our second time picking up pizza from this location and we are happy customers. I've been looking for a local pizza spot that serves plant based pizza and was excited when a friend told me about the menu at Pizza My Heart. I was a little hesitant because there are only three plant based pizzas on the menu and my kids are picky vegans. Thankfully I found out they have a create your own version which is perfect for us. I have to say that this is amazing vegan pizza. You can't really taste the cheese on it (my kids swear they can taste and see it, but I don't), however, the taste of the pizza as a whole is amazing. The plant based sausage and pepperoni is way better than the stuff I use at home even though I swear they are the same brand. Must be pizza oven magic or something. My husband has had several of the regular pizzas as well and finds them delicious! I will say that if you are creating your own, realize that if you only choose one topping, there will not be a lot of it. It seems they put a set amount of each topping on no matter how many you order. We found at least 3 toppings are needed to make the pizza feel full of toppings and not sparse. Expensive, but worth it for a good plant based pizza that I didn't have to spend an hour making (and the crust is amazing and chewy with a little crunch to the outer edges). The restaurant itself seems cute. Clean inside and wasn't super busy either time I went. I discovered today you can order by the slice as well (probably not the vegan options). There is a little outdoor patio that is nothing fancy, but would serve the purpose of a nice quiet meal outside if you prefer. We will be back for sure. read more

My husband and I really wanted pizza and just happened to be in the Walnut Creek area. We decided to try Pizza My Heart for the first time, and we will definitely be going back. Located on the corner of a busy street, on a weekend evening, it was impossible to find parking. We had to park pretty far, but once we got inside, it was worth it. The ambiance was fun and chill, exactly what we were looking for. It reminded me of how pizza parlors used to be; inviting booths, a fun theme (surfing), great music & family friendly. You order and pay up front, and they bring the pizza out when it is ready. What sets this place apart is that the pizza was NOT standard or basic. We ordered a half Big Sur & half Vegan Big Sur & Bread Stix. The Big Sur has roasted garlic, portobello mushrooms, italian sausage, and pepperoni, and it was amazing! The first bite of the pizza had us hooked. The ingredients were a perfect combination, and my husband couldn't get over how well the garlic was cooked so perfectly. He is not a fan of pizza crust, and he ate every last bit of each slice. The bread stix are baked with olive oil, California cheese, and seasoning, and those did not disappoint either. Super salty pizza and clueless service? I've been to their location in Dublin and never had issues with the taste of the pizza, but here it was way too salty. Service was questionable, too.
