If there's one thing I could say about "Fire Slice Pizza" and that their slices are absolutely legit. Located directly on Clayton Rd and adjacent to The Alameda in the heart of Concord, this Halal-based pizza joint replaced the less-than-inspiring Papa Murphy's Pizza. And since their opening in March 2026, they have generated a very respectable amount of positive Yelp reviews. As many of you that have read my reviews, I am a very picky eater when it comes to pizza. As for the parking situation, it is in a relatively quieter strip mall with anchor stores such as "Big 5" and "CVS". During my visit which was the afternoon on Saturday 8/8/2026, I came here around 5:15pm which ended up being a late-afternoon snack to get me by for a couple of hours. Once inside, I noticed just how busy it was here with customers waiting for their pizza while others were eating away. Keep in mind that the interior layout isn't that big; however, there are enough chairs w/tables to accommodate around 30 customers. Some of the features of this small business is the very cool graffiti artwork that showcases their business name as well as a couple large LED TV's for your viewing pleasure. I could tell that they were extremely busy as the gentleman behind the counter (whom I'm assuming was the owner/manager) was working his tail off by taking orders, cleaning the tables, and bringing out pizzas to the customers and DoorDash delivery drivers. Since I was only craving a slice, I opted with their "Pepperoni" (priced at $8.99 + tax). They were busy! However, the total time only took around 10 minutes while my slice was in a perfectly sized pizza slice box. They also included packets of parmesan cheese, crushed red pepper, and ranch dressing. Once I opened the box, I absolutely loved the presentation with the pepperoni and the perfection with the crust. Best of all, this 'slice' was cut into 2 slices; perfect if you plan on sharing it with someone. As for the taste, this really hit the spot for me as this hit all the high notes for me as it is definitely one of the better pizza places I have been to. All in all, "Fire Slice Pizza" might be the new kid in town but this was a warm welcome in this part of the East Bay. Best of all, they have very respectable hours of operation being open Sunday-Wednesday from 10am-10pm, Thursday from 10am-12am and even longer hours on Friday & Saturday from 10am-1am. With stellar customer service, lively interior space, and pizzas that are absolute "fire", I am giving Fire Slice Pizza a unanimous five star rating.
Great new spot in concord, the pizza was delicious and fresh. Love how to meat is Halal too.
Major love to the owner and whoever is cooking up these pizzaz, because this was some of Thee Best pizza I've had in a long time! No bs. Definitely will be driving back from San Francisco faithfully.
Was my second or third time here, previous times were in the afternoon for lunch, so it wasn't busy at all. This time was a bit more crowded, and it appeared that people were sitting around waiting for a while as their slices came out after I arrived and back to back. Pizza was OK a little crispier than usual without asking for well done, but still had good flavor. The ambiance was chill as it was after 5 o'clock .. I'll be back but ...I think I'll stick to lunch slices!
This place is good! The person who took our order i assume was maybe the owner or a partner? Either way, he let us know if our options and when we expressed interest in a certain flavor he let us know it was good. And it was hella flavorful. The place is cool, there's a few 4 person tables but most people were ordering pickup or to go. There's TVs showing sports, and cool graffiti to look at. We opted for a medium which was hella big! There's about 8 BIG ass slices. He let us know we could try multiple favors so we got the Fire flavor and the Creamy garlic chicken mushroom, they smacked! The fire flavor has kick to it and it's a lil sweet. We will definitely be back. Just based on the service alone it's well worth the visit to that side of the bay for us!
Fire Slice is so delicious and filling!! The best pizza in Concord hands down with a very welcoming staff
Found this spot on Google with the Mrs. We wanted a slice, but wanted to try somewhere new. Arrived and they had customers with some hugh slices and it was then that we knew... this spot was going to hit. We met the owner, Sam. He is super cool and so personable. We ordered a large (Pepperoni, All Meat, Fire and Polynesian). It took a little minute to come out, but that's because it is made fresh to order. We got some parmesan cheese, garlic powder and garlic ranch (house made) to go with the pizza once it came. It was hot, cheesy, tasty, and so very flavorful. We are, watched the NBA playoffs and just enjoyed the space. We were not rushed to leave once we finished. We are most certainly going back to become a regular.
This place is half decent, no where close to being great pizza. I would put it in the same ballpark as pizza guys. The pepperoni is not good, it taste like those highly processed meat logs you get in Christmas baskets. If you want an ok pizza to satisfy your hunger, this place is ok but if your looking for good pizza this place is not it.
10/10 pizza Super friendly place with amazing service, We felt welcomed from the moment we walked in. Definitely adding this spot to our favorites!
If you aren't a fan of pizza, don't come here! "But on the other hand, me..?" I LOVES pizza lol. And good food in general. The staff were super welcoming. Kind. Helped us w/ ordering our 1st time, we decided on the biggest pizza. The Big Boss. (4 ways) We went for Father's Day and dad was so happy. The place was clean and we decided to stay and eat there. The pizza was fresh & HOT! Really great cheese pulls. Kids enjoyed it too! It was all very flavorful, you can even eat the crust! The guy even threw in some freebies. I'll be back & what a deal to order for gatherings in the future. The big boss size is 16 HUGE Slices. Can easily feed 16 adults. It's impressive
The owner is great! Very friendly and gave us a great deal for our first time. The pizza was good, but nothing special in my opinion. We also got different flavors than we ordered. The seating is uncomfortable and really crowded as well. I love the art inside and plenty of tvs.
Stopped by Fire Slice and decided to check it out since they've only been open for about two months. I really liked the concept -- you can grab pizza by the slice, and these aren't tiny slices either. They're pretty large and definitely filling. I ended up trying the pepperoni slice and the Polynesian slice, and both were really good. The flavors were on point and the pizza tasted fresh. What also stood out was the customer service. The guy working there took time to explain how everything worked, answered questions, and gave some suggestions, which was a nice touch for a first visit. Overall, great first experience with good food and good customer service. I'll definitely be back again.

Came into this pizza shop after seeing someone post their review of the Big Boss Slice of the Signature fire pizza and had to get it myself. Although opted for the medium one because the big boss slice was just way too big for lunch time on a Monday. The Signature fire pizza was excellent. The all beef pepperonis were pretty good! And the Calabrian peppers added a nice bit of heat with the hot honey to help tamper the spiciness of things. Crust was soft on the tip but gets firm and crunchier toward the edge of the pizza. Met the owner Sam and he was such a nice guy chatting it up with him while I waited on my pizza. read more

To search for truly authentic thin slice New York style pies, with the exact halal accoutrements was becoming a chore. Until Fire Slice Pizza popped up on the map. The attention to detail, supreme quality of food and ingredients, as well as the A1 service and hospitality is astronomically unmatched. You're greeted with warmth from the owner, and the smell of properly prepared pizza dough baking with Halal Old world beef pepperoni , or the delectable Chicken Tikka Masala pizza that literally has one of the best CTM sauces I've ever tasted in my life. I elected for the Fire Slice Pizza while my wife got the CTM slice, and we've never been disappointed. I guarantee you will be coming back and make this your established go to Pizza joint to frequent. read more
The pizzeria has tons of parking and is easy to get in and out of. The pizza shop is cozy and clean with a really nice mural. The owner was super welcoming and engaging. The pizza itself was very tasty! Its red sauce was flavorful and really hearty. The toppings were generous and I really liked the meatiness of the pizza and the density of the cheese. I just stay, the crust was well designed and held its form quite well when held up by the crust. The only thing they were missing was beer, but I can live with that. I'll definitely be back! read more

Upon entering the restaurant, we are greeted with a "street" type of ambience. It's colorful with three big screen TVs playing sports. Clean tables, clean floors. Plenty of parking in front. The male at the register was nice. Told us a little bit about the menu and what his favorite pizza was. I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza which was $28 and some change but he told me not to worry about the change. I wanted to pay for two water bottles and they were given to us on the house. The pizza had a crispy crust, delicious flavor. I believe the pepperoni was not your classic pepperoni, it tasted more like thin slices of sausage. The pizza lacked sauce but the crust is thin which makes sense. The owner of the restaurant asked us how we were enjoying the pizza. After I responded, he then said soft drinks were on him. I did notice there were no bathrooms. I asked the owner about it. His answer was valid. But he hopes to fix the issue and open one up in the near future. When Rocco's pizza in Walnut Creek is not open, this will be our next option. read more
Pizza was ok. The service was ok. But there was a push for upgrading to a full size pizza instead of slices. Slice of the day is actually just any of the speciality pizzas. We got a slice of cheese and a slice of the tikka masala. The cheese was better than the tikka masala. The seemed to be quite a few people waiting for their pizzas. We got slices and ours came out pretty quick. The vibe of the whole place was off. We had seen a huge pizza slice on IG but there was no advertisement for it at the restaurant. I guess we could have asked for it, but if its available, there should be a way of ordering it. read more

This place was fantastic. Great hospitality and service all around. The owner was great to say the least. He made sure we were taken care of, provided drinks to us free of charge, and was attentive to our feedback and our need for a to-go box after we finished before I could even ask. He made us feel welcome and explained everything to us since it was our first time. The chicken tikka slice was a home run, it had great flavor and scratched every itch we had for both Indian and pizza. read more

My amiga wanted to try this place specifically because it was Halal and the TicToc ads were repeating on her feed. She had me at pizza. We had the creamy garlic chicken and mushrooms, my favorite! And chicken tika masala. The crust was perfect! The staff were really friendly and bought some to take home. Here is a picture of what was left from my pizzas. read more

A few of my friends came in today and got a 24 inch pizza. The gentlemen at the front gave us his recommendations and put all four on the 24 inch pie. The wait was a bit long but this seemed to be irregular for them. The owner Sam walked in and turned the experience from a decent one to one of my favorite customer experiences I've had in a long time. Me and my roommate work at a local pizza spot and frequently scout the next best pizza spot with our own pizza knowledge to guide us. That being said this place is the real deal and probably one of the best pizza places in the east bay. Certainly a contender for best in Concord. We had the Creamy Garlic, Tikka, Polynesian, and fire pizza as well as a pepperoni so we had a baseline. The creamy garlic stole the show for me, the sauce and high quality toppings come together very well. The tikka was also fantastic, probably the best tikka pizza I've ever had. The pineapple, ham, and Polynesian sauce on the Poly were a perfect example of why those ingredients belong on pizza. The pineapple is in thicker chunks which really helps complement the ham. My friends and I were really impressed by the unique pepperoni, it's a bit thicker and slightly chewy which is certainly refreshing in a world full of crispy, often times overcooked pepperoni. Overall Sauce - 9/10 - Each sauce worked very well with it respective specials Cheese - 10/10 - Perfect amount of high quality cheese. Toppings - 10/10 - Fresh, seemingly prepped in house, perfect application. Crust - 8/10 - I was a big fan of the crust but one piece of feedback that my group had was that the first bite was often very floppy and soggy at times (I am a big fan of this) but something to note if you are looking for a crispy, solid, slice through & through. Service - Unbelievably friendly and kind. The owner walked in and treated us with the utmost care and respect. Gave us drinks on the house, and showed genuine hospitality to us. It was like we were guests in his own home. He did everything to make sure we were taken care of. I will certainly be back because it's clear that they care about their product. Don't miss this spot, it's a Concord gem. read more

Was influenced to check out this spot and it did not disappoint! I was in the area checking out an open house and while the house was not enticing enough to make the move to Concord this pizza place might just do the trick. Their menu needs to be updated as you can get a slice of anything rather than a pizza of the day which frankly I much more prefer and appreciate. The staff was friendly and shared their top two pizzas which were the Creamy Garlic Chicken & Mushroom and the Fire Pizza, so obviously we had to get one of each to share. Both were delicious! The Fire Pizza lived up to it's name and was both mine and my husband's favorite. I especially enjoyed the thin crust of the pizza and can't wait to come back. Don't sleep on this unassuming spot hidden in the strip mall. read more

I placed an order today around noon for a large pizza, half fire and half pepperoni, jalapeno and pineapple. I came in &who I presume as the owner was behind the counter busy. Their internet system went down a bit before I placed my order, so they never received it. However, the owner made sure to let me know they would make it right away and to please have a seat and take a drink. The place is small but nonetheless welcoming and clean. I waited about 25mins for my order to be ready. Even though the owner was troubleshooting the internet issue, he still made sure my order was correct, made sure I was comfortable and gave me a free drink and cheesecake! I do not live in the area and drove about 40 minutes to get home, ready to eat. The fire pizza was nothing I ever had before and it was delicious. I wish I would've gotten another signature pizza for the other half of my pizza but nonetheless, the pizza itself was soooo goood. I haven't had a great pizza in a long time until now. I am also NOT a hot honey fan, however the honey really compliments the ricotta on top, absolutely perfect. The crust was great and the slices are HUGE. I will definitely be back since my school is around the corner. Thank you again to the owner for providing great hospitality and making sure I had a pleasant experience! read more
