If there's one thing I could say about "Fire Slice Pizza" and that their slices are absolutely legit. Located directly on Clayton Rd and adjacent to The Alameda in the heart of Concord, this Halal-based pizza joint replaced the less-than-inspiring Papa Murphy's Pizza. And since their opening in March 2026, they have generated a very respectable amount of positive Yelp reviews. As many of you that have read my reviews, I am a very picky eater when it comes to pizza. As for the parking situation, it is in a relatively quieter strip mall with anchor stores such as "Big 5" and "CVS". During my visit which was the afternoon on Saturday 8/8/2026, I came here around 5:15pm which ended up being a late-afternoon snack to get me by for a couple of hours. Once inside, I noticed just how busy it was here with customers waiting for their pizza while others were eating away. Keep in mind that the interior layout isn't that big; however, there are enough chairs w/tables to accommodate around 30 customers. Some of the features of this small business is the very cool graffiti artwork that showcases their business name as well as a couple large LED TV's for your viewing pleasure. I could tell that they were extremely busy as the gentleman behind the counter (whom I'm assuming was the owner/manager) was working his tail off by taking orders, cleaning the tables, and bringing out pizzas to the customers and DoorDash delivery drivers. Since I was only craving a slice, I opted with their "Pepperoni" (priced at $8.99 + tax). They were busy! However, the total time only took around 10 minutes while my slice was in a perfectly sized pizza slice box. They also included packets of parmesan cheese, crushed red pepper, and ranch dressing. Once I opened the box, I absolutely loved the presentation with the pepperoni and the perfection with the crust. Best of all, this 'slice' was cut into 2 slices; perfect if you plan on sharing it with someone. As for the taste, this really hit the spot for me as this hit all the high notes for me as it is definitely one of the better pizza places I have been to. All in all, "Fire Slice Pizza" might be the new kid in town but this was a warm welcome in this part of the East Bay. Best of all, they have very respectable hours of operation being open Sunday-Wednesday from 10am-10pm, Thursday from 10am-12am and even longer hours on Friday & Saturday from 10am-1am. With stellar customer service, lively interior space, and pizzas that are absolute "fire", I am giving Fire Slice Pizza a unanimous five star rating.

Was my second or third time here, previous times were in the afternoon for lunch, so it wasn't busy at all. This time was a bit more crowded, and it appeared that people were sitting around waiting for a while as their slices came out after I arrived and back to back. Pizza was OK a little crispier than usual without asking for well done, but still had good flavor. The ambiance was chill as it was after 5 o'clock .. I'll be back but ...I think I'll stick to lunch slices!

This place is good! The person who took our order i assume was maybe the owner or a partner? Either way, he let us know if our options and when we expressed interest in a certain flavor he let us know it was good. And it was hella flavorful. The place is cool, there's a few 4 person tables but most people were ordering pickup or to go. There's TVs showing sports, and cool graffiti to look at. We opted for a medium which was hella big! There's about 8 BIG ass slices. He let us know we could try multiple favors so we got the Fire flavor and the Creamy garlic chicken mushroom, they smacked! The fire flavor has kick to it and it's a lil sweet. We will definitely be back. Just based on the service alone it's well worth the visit to that side of the bay for us!

Found this spot on Google with the Mrs. We wanted a slice, but wanted to try somewhere new. Arrived and they had customers with some hugh slices and it was then that we knew... this spot was going to hit. We met the owner, Sam. He is super cool and so personable. We ordered a large (Pepperoni, All Meat, Fire and Polynesian). It took a little minute to come out, but that's because it is made fresh to order. We got some parmesan cheese, garlic powder and garlic ranch (house made) to go with the pizza once it came. It was hot, cheesy, tasty, and so very flavorful. We are, watched the NBA playoffs and just enjoyed the space. We were not rushed to leave once we finished. We are most certainly going back to become a regular.

This place is half decent, no where close to being great pizza. I would put it in the same ballpark as pizza guys. The pepperoni is not good, it taste like those highly processed meat logs you get in Christmas baskets. If you want an ok pizza to satisfy your hunger, this place is ok but if your looking for good pizza this place is not it.

If you aren't a fan of pizza, don't come here! "But on the other hand, me..?" I LOVES pizza lol. And good food in general. The staff were super welcoming. Kind. Helped us w/ ordering our 1st time, we decided on the biggest pizza. The Big Boss. (4 ways) We went for Father's Day and dad was so happy. The place was clean and we decided to stay and eat there. The pizza was fresh & HOT! Really great cheese pulls. Kids enjoyed it too! It was all very flavorful, you can even eat the crust! The guy even threw in some freebies. I'll be back & what a deal to order for gatherings in the future. The big boss size is 16 HUGE Slices. Can easily feed 16 adults. It's impressive

Stopped by Fire Slice and decided to check it out since they've only been open for about two months. I really liked the concept -- you can grab pizza by the slice, and these aren't tiny slices either. They're pretty large and definitely filling. I ended up trying the pepperoni slice and the Polynesian slice, and both were really good. The flavors were on point and the pizza tasted fresh. What also stood out was the customer service. The guy working there took time to explain how everything worked, answered questions, and gave some suggestions, which was a nice touch for a first visit. Overall, great first experience with good food and good customer service. I'll definitely be back again.

Was told about this place and that it was a really good new york type slice so I had high expectations... not worth the $23 for a medium cheese. Didn't realize we would be getting machined pizza rather than hand tossed. Out of 10: Crust = 6.5 (machine pressed), cheese = 6.2 (greasy, but no drip), sauce = 3.5 (out of a can), and pepperoni = 5.7 (just trash). Social media brought me here and the customer service will bring me back! The pizza is good! We got a half pepperoni half fire and it was yummy. The portions were huge and filling! But the customer service still keeps me full! My daughter wanted all pep but I wanted something with a little razzle dazzle hence the 1/2 and 1/2. The person whom I'm assuming is the owner was kind enough to bake her an additional individual slice of pepperoni and throw in a couple of free drinks. We went to Fire Slice Pizza yesterday with the kids after a day of playing! They were really hungry and ate the first pepperoni pizza we order in like 6 minutes. We ordered a second medium pizza to go because my kids still wanted more and the worker upgraded to a large. Spotted a cockroach here, which was honestly enough to ruin the experience. I ordered a pizza through Uber Eats for pickup and arrived about 45 minutes later, around the estimated pickup time, only to find that they hadn't even started making my order. The staff also showed very little customer service and seemed to brush the situation off rather than actually addressing it. The food itself is decent, but nothing special. In my opinion, there's a lot more good marketing around this place than there is substance behind the food or overall experience. Between the lack of customer service, the long wait, and seeing a cockroach, I wouldn't come back. read more

I found this place on TikTok so decided to give it a try. It's in a shopping center so there's a lot of parking. The place is small it has 5 tables so maybe more of a grab and go. We ordered a medium pizza for two adults and a kid. You can do half and half toppings. The pizza's are made fresh to order so be patient. We go the pizza and it was a pretty good size. Since this is not a chain pizza place the pizza is very filling. I ate two slices and that was very filling and pizza was good. read more

I only got one pepperoni slice, but it was practically two slices - a good amount of food for a pretty great price! The pizza was good too, especially the cheese on top. Man!!!!!! That creamy chicken garlic is the truth!!!!!!! My lil picky princess loves it so much she was going in on a slice & she's only 14 months old lol. You walk in here and you get greeted by the owner himself he is so nice! The walls are very nice pieces of art that adds a very unique detail to any other pizza place. The pizza is so good, I have tried all of the pizzas and my favorite one is the bbq chicken it is really good. The environment is really nice and the owner checks on you to make sure everything is good he is very kind. If you are near Concord don't forget to stop by they sell by the slide too which is nice for a quick lunch . read more

I called them yesterday to clarify an order because their website is horrible. They try to convince me to place my order for pickup today on the 23rd. But for some reason I said no. I would just call back on the 23rd. And mind you their website says they open at 11:00 but the guy I spoke with said they open at 10:00. So today at 10:00 a.m. I started calling and no one answered. So I drove over there. Got there around 10:30. And it was closed and no one was inside. It actually looked abandoned. No note on the window. Nothing on their website stating that they were going to be closed so I can't help but feel like they were going to take my order yesterday. I would have paid for it and no one would have been there today. I was buying lunch for my crew at work and their lunch time is limited so this really took a chunk out of us or out of their time. Needless to say that I will never come back here and my 15 employees were pretty irritated and all of them have said they will not come back or will never go there again. I know things come up but a note in the window explaining that would have went a long way. read more

Interestingly, their serving size is just an individual portion rather than the traditional 2 x 2 or 2 x 4 style you might find in Michigan. I guess they're basically advertising this as a one person's portion. Although, each square can be around 780 calories, so two pieces would be roughly 1,600 calories, which is crazy! Anyways, as for the flavor, after taking my first bite, I honestly couldn't tell much difference between this and their Pan Pizza, so it was a little disappointing in that sense, but also it wasn't unexpected. Don't get me wrong, it was still tasty, but it didn't really scream Detroit Style Pizza to me. It felt more like their Pan Pizza served in a square shape. Again, still good pizza, but just not Detroit Style Pizza. One of the defining characteristics of Detroit Style Pizza is the use of brick cheese, and Domino's doesn't seem to be using it here. In fact, their product description even mentions Parmesan?? Anyway, different cheese, different results. That said, I'd still encourage anyone who's curious to go give it a try. I'm not sure if this is going to be a limited time item or something they'll keep around, so might as well try it out while it's available.

Chef's kiss), and the bottom half was an absolute flavor bomb of seasoned ground meat, black olives, jalapeños, green peppers, and more onion. Every single bite hit different. The cheese was perfectly melted and stretchy, the sauce had the right tang, and nothing felt skimpy--this place does not hold back on the goods. So I've been going since Fire Slice has opened, and I love their pizza when the usual chef is there. But recently when I go in there, there is an overwhelming employee who introduces himself as Sam. He makes me feel very overwhelmed. For example I recently in for a quick slice and a drink, but Sam is as very pushy about me getting a medium or large pizza instead. I stated many times how I was looking for a quick slice but after awhile I just caved in and bought a medium. I've returned since and it was the same situation again. It was a huge order, but everything was punctual, fresh, and right on time, which made hosting so much less stressful. Every single guest kept asking where the pizza was from because it was THAT good. Today was our second time coming to Fire Slice. The pizza is delicious! We have tried the combo, the chicken mushroom white sauce, the Polynesian and plain pepperoni as well. They always load their pizza with the toppings and cook it to perfection. They also have a really good spicy ranch/sauce to compliment the pizza. The owner stopped me and said "don't get three, just get one" and combined everything into one perfect pizza for us. A friend and I were referred to this place, and we're glad we gave it a try. The owner was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and he even changed the TV to the World Cup for us. I brought it to the gentleman in the back and tried to keep the mood light. I jokingly said, "Yeah, looks like someone in the back might be losing their hair." Instead of apologizing, he slowly walked away and simply said, "I'll get you next time." There was no apology, no effort to get our name or number, and no attempt to make the situation right. Why would we trust there to be a "next time" when this was the perfect opportunity to show good customer service? A sincere apology should have been the bare minimum. Since none was offered, I asked if they could comp the pizza, which is a common way restaurants handle situations like this. Looking back, I wonder if my joke was taken personally because the two men working appeared to be balding. Oopsy. If so, that wasn't my intention, I was simply trying to lighten an awkward situation. He said he couldn't refund the pizza but offered to make us a new one. We waited while they remade it, and just before we left, we finally received a simple apology. Mistakes happen in every restaurant. What matters is how they're handled. Unfortunately, this experience left us disappointed, and because of how it was addressed, we won't be returning. We genuinely wanted to support a local business, but customer service matters just as much as the food. Please do better.

I work a few blocks away and I'm always in the mood for pasta. So I order ahead while I'm closing up shop and come to pick it up! The pasta is amazing! The penne is my personal favorite but the pesto and lasagna rule so hard! The baked raviolis are also an amazing appetizer!!! I've gotten food here probably 6 times in the last month! It is so freakin good! Just go here! It's amazing. Support local shops!

My kids said they really liked the pepperoni and they gave it a "10/10" and they liked the garlic knots too! The rockaway was good but I didn't love that the jalapeños were jarred ones, I like fresh but that's just my preference. Also, they didn't have crushed red peppers and pizza without it, for me, is just not the same. All in all, it was good and I liked the thin crust, I don't know if/when I will return simply because they don't have any seating (aside from a few tables outside) and I don't live in town.
