Lately, I've been so into any eats from sweetgreen!!! Came here after a workout class and it was a well deserved meal! The Chicken Cesar Wrap has been my go to! There is just something to fresh, juicy and tender, crunchy, flavorful about this wrap just makes me feel so good after eating it. So if there's one thing you must try at a sweetgreen, it's the Chicken Cesar Wrap. Trust. It's pretty filling and if you're the type to never really finish a full meal, you'll definitely be able to eat the other 1/2 of the wrap later in the day! There is a good portion of greens, chicken, sauce and croutons. Of course, you are able to change things up if needed or add more or less sauce. I highly suggest doing a medium amount and getting the extra sauce in the side. This location is right on a corner and is surrounding by many businesses but you cannot miss it. Street parking or there is a lot next to it but I'm not sure if you're allowed to park there? Anywho, find a spot and make your way over to sweetgreen. They have a designated spot for take out when placed online/ app. They have a good amount of indoor seating with nice natural light. The place is clean and spacious. During my visit, I think someone was being trained, but they both did an excellent job getting mine and my bestie's order ready in a timely matter. Sure, the items available are definitely not cheap. My salad was $18, but chock full of high-quality ingredients. So scrumptious/fresh-smelling. There is an up charge if you want to add protein, of course. I got a seasonal selection. The Alice Waters' Peach & Goat Cheese Salad. Comes with lemon-tarragon dressing. It's tangy and very tasty. The bowl that you pay for is sizable, and you might not finish the whole thing in one sitting. But it's easy to put in the fridge to be stored/ enjoyed later. When I asked for a bowl, I was told none were available. The problem was that I could clearly see bowls in the restaurant. I was told they were "dirty" and unavailable. I pointed out that there were other bowls visible, including plastic and porcelain bowls, but Store Manager Julia repeatedly cited "store policy" and offered no solution whatsoever. What was most disappointing was the complete lack of effort to accommodate a loyal customer. No attempt to wash a bowl. No alternative suggestion. No effort to find a manager-level solution. Just a flat "no." As a result, my wife ate her salad, my daughter ate her wrap, and I sat there watching because I refused to eat from the cardboard container. I've happily supported Sweetgreen for over 15 years, but after today's experience, that relationship is over. Other fast-casual restaurants like MIXT and Tender Greens have no issue providing proper dine-in bowls and plates when customers request them. The issue wasn't the bowl. The staff that works here are always friendly, the orders arriving timely, and them just knowing how to efficiently have folks in and out for this fast-casual category of restaurant. They definitely have folks that keep an eye out for utensils, to ensure that tables are made fit for sitting, and that all things run smoothly. When comparing this location to a couple of the other locations that I frequent - SOMA and Oakland City Center, I would drop it 1 star, down to the current 4 star rating. It is marginally less expensive than some items than the SOMA location, but in terms of cleanliness, sometimes the staff would be too busy tending to customers to empty out the compostable bins. This has resulted in frequent overflowing of the compostable bins and a huge mess by their disposal area by their restrooms. When compared to the Oakland City Center location, I would rank this higher in terms of timely pick-up orders, but noticed that some items are about $1-$1.50 more expensive than this Walnut Creek location. The food is always fresh, with quality ingredients, and well portioned. I would stay that this is one of the main selling points and why I decided to sign up for a sweetpass. read more

Their bowls are crazy expensive (around $16-$19) and it just increases if you want more toppings. Even fried onions or crispy rice on the top at the end is considered a topping and you'll be charged for it! That's insane to me. For them to charge extra for every little thing is actually wild. I have never been scammed in this way before from a restaurant. The guy making my order was also a little lost and didn't know what he was doing. He was not helpful at all. I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Sweetgreen support and feel compelled to share it. I made an online order in error and tried to correct it immediately, but Sweetgreen provides no way to edit or cancel an order and no way to contact the store directly. Their automated system makes it impossible to resolve a simple mistake. I contacted support right away and was told I would receive a refund and that someone would follow up within twenty four hours. No one ever reached out. When I tried again, I had to repeat the entire situation to another support agent who confirmed I would be connected to a live person. That agent then told me they would only refund a single item, not the entire incorrect order, even though I had placed a corrected order only minutes later. I explained that this policy creates a situation where customers have no way to fix a mistake and no way to speak with a store before an order is made. Their response was to repeat policy language instead of addressing the situation or offering a reasonable solution. The end result was no meaningful help, no accountability for the earlier promise of a full refund, and several long back and forth messages that went nowhere. This experience made it clear that Sweetgreen does not support customers who use their own online ordering system. What should have been an easy fix turned into a very poor experience that left me feeling unheard and dismissed.
