Over the past decade, the bartenders and servers have become genuine friends, and we are going to sincerely miss seeing their familiar faces. There was nothing quite like grabbing our favorite seats at the bar, ordering a drink, and relaxing while watching whatever sports they had playing on the screens. In all our years of dining here, we never once had a single issue that the team couldn't--and wouldn't--immediately and graciously correct. And "fine" isn't exactly what you hope for when you're trying to recreate a special childhood experience. Thankfully, my granddaughter didn't notice any of it. She enjoyed her birthday lunch and absolutely demolished her slice of chocolate cake like the birthday queen she was. Watching her enjoy herself was easily the best part of the visit.
