Restaurant is located in Knotts berry farm and it really is your typical theme park food. I got the Philly cheese steak tater tots and there wasn't much meat but there was a ton of cheese. Not bad but not great.

It's ok. Not terrible but not great. They ran out of the pulled pork tots and had to settle for these. They wouldn't allow ordering first then waiting for the next pulled pork batch to avoid getting back in line. Not flexible whatsoever! Also, they are CLOSED during the week. Only opens on weekends! Yes. All Not great things thethey have going on. There plenty of everything else they offer; pizza/breadsticks, max and cheese tots. Tots are oily. I am disappointed.

Came here a second go and got two items - the Pulled Pork and the Fried Shrimp & Coleslaw (seasonal). These were not as good as the French onion tater tots I had the first time and unfortunately my view of the place has gone down. The tots won't blow your mind and the wait can get pretty long with a huge line...so try to come at a less busy time of the day, otherwise I wouldn't say it's worth it. Also, with the main items prepared ahead of time, I'm surprised it takes as long as it does to get orders out. I'll still be back to try other menu items. With the annual meal plan and how frequent we come to Knott's, it's not a big deal to stop by for a snack...as long as the line is short.

Got the Philly cheese tots and they were delicious. You order at the window and take it to go to eat elsewhere. There's usually a line and service is slow since there's not many window open and they also sell the food oases there so it takes them more time to help customers. They do try to be helpful and patient when it's your turn. We have the meal pass and we get this when we want a snack or something different than fireman's or boardwalk.

Tater Tots with a chicken leg and chicken sausage gravy. Crazy. It's good I'm not a fried chicken on the bone fan but my friend ate it.

I'd say this is a great place to grab a snack that will hold you over until the next meal. It's not open all the time (weekdays during off season it's never open) but when it is, I'd consider stopping by for a decent sized snack/meal that's shareable for two. Throughout the year the park will host different themed events and Califo will feature a themed menu item. My last visit the special was the chicken and gravy tater tots that came with a fried chicken drumstick with tater tots covered in gravy. I'm a fan of the gravy and thought it was good. As for the fried chicken, I'm not a huge fried chicken fan and I know that's what the park is known for, Mrs. Knott's fried chicken, but I prefer KFC or Jim Dandy's fried chicken over Knott's. What's great about Calico Tater BItes is the line moves fast and you get your food fresh and hot in about 5 - 7 minutes unless they're backed up, but even then I don't think I've waited more than 10 minutes max for an order. It's a pick-up window so you'll need to find a place to eat nearby, which there is plenty of seating around the corner. Definitely worth giving a try if you're hungry but not starving.

This place was pretty good. The food was hot and the buffalo sauce they are using is good. The portion could've been a little bigger but overall it was good experience. It's also part of the dinning plan so it gives you one more option if you have the option.

Pastrami Tots

I am a Knott's passholder and season food passholder . This has to be hands down the most flavorless place. I dont know how they could mess up Tater Tots but they did. If you come here, bring your own seasoning. Better yet, walk to Firehouse BBQ and ask to use their seasoning..... Nothing here has any seasoning or flavor!!!! I got the pastrami tots and then the french onion brisket tater tots. Did not know pastrami nor brisket could have ZERO taste.

It was ok. Cheese pizza was ok and it came with 2 garlic sticks which were good. It was $16.50 and got a regular soda (coke) for $4.50. Prices are crazy!! Line was long but expected.

Trying this Boysenberry Festival item out!!!

I want to like this place more. I really do. It's hard to when they seem to be unprepared for large crowds. The last 2 times that I've gone, they were either out of the pulled pork or they have an ungodly wait time for the seasonal French Onion Tater Tots. I'm not going to lie- those are REALLY GOOD!!! Everyone seems to think so. Because of that, their wait times are long. They run out fast and I'm not sure why it takes them so long to cook it. I can understand that the food needs to be a certain temperature. A bigger batch may need to be made? I hope they can prepare better in the future.

Total waste of money

We tried the Mac n cheese tots and they were not good. The Mac and cheese and the tots all lacked flavor, don't recommend.

If you want to run the risk of getting food poisoning, this is the place for you!…read more I walked in and I ordered one of their deluxe party pizzas. The cashier told me that they had a cancellation of a pepperoni party pizza and asked if I wanted that. I asked her how long ago was the cancellation and she told me about an hour ago. I thought about it for a moment and I told her I didn't want that pizza and I wanted a fresh one. She proceeded to tell me that it would be ready in about 20 or so minutes. I had the strange feeling as I sat in my car outside waiting that we were going to end up getting that old Pizza that was out who knows how long. So about 10 minutes in, I went back into the restaurant and the girl told me the pizza was ready. I asked if that was the pepperoni pizza that she offered to me earlier and she said no. I then asked her if I could see the old Pizza that she had originally offered me and she proceeded to tell me that it was thrown away. I then asked her I wanted to see the old pizza in the trash , because I didn't believe her. I believed that they just dressed up that old Pizza that was sitting out who knows for how long and was trying to pass it off as a fresh pizza. She then told me that a coworker had thrown it in the trash outside of the building so once again, I asked to see it and she said she didn't know where it was... so I basically confronted her and told her that that's the old Pizza but she wouldn't admit it . I asked for a refund which I got and then oddly enough, she still offered to give me the pizza! I refused it , not interested in possibly poisoning my family. At that point, I was just pissed, disgusted and had to make other dinner plans and decided to never return. We had been ordering from this pizza place for about the last six years and it's been awesome or at least we thought we were getting fresh pizzas but at this point who knows. We will not be returning to this pizza place and we go elsewhere for party pizzas. And if you want a really good party Pizza, it's a bit of a drive , but go to Big E Pizza in Signal Hill - totally worth the money and the drive and it is made fresh!

Each slice is $3.75, or you can get two slices for $7.50 plus tax, so there's really no discount. I paid cash and noticed I was charged $7.99 for two slices instead of the advertised $7.50. I pointed it out to the man who took my order, but he insisted I wasn't overcharged. I even showed him the menu and the payment screen, where you could clearly see the discrepancy (see photos), but he was dismissive and said the register never makes mistakes. I had a long day at work and wasn't about to argue over less than a dollar. Still, it's the principle. Charging customers more than the posted price and refusing to acknowledge it is not okay. It made my experience very disappointing. As for the food, we ordered two pepperoni slices, one pepperoni and mushroom, and one ham and pineapple. The toppings were good, but this is definitely not New York-style pizza. The crust was overcooked and so dry that it was close to tasting like cardboard. I wouldn't recommend this place. If you do decide to eat here, pay close attention to the price you're charged and ask for a receipt.

The menu offered quite a few vegetarian friendly options which left me with way too many choices, but the tricolore did not disappoint. I was hungry but even if I wasn't I know this would've still be excellent. The tricolore comes with smoked mozzarella and pesto, two things I always wanted on a pizza but never could get as well as additional pine nuts! It wasn't too much or too little. You get a nut every couple of bites to remind you they're still there. Fresh cherry tomatoes and delicious sauce. The crust is baked to a crispy perfection. The Napoli calzone was new to me with the cheesy topping, it was the sandwich pizza you'd always wanted, the size is big but very attainable. Plenty of free parking in the back if you come at the right time. And Italian dessert options if you're craving for more after!
