Party Size Pepperoni Pizza ($38) 50 Squares
    Cathrine S.

Review is for large group gathering* We opted for Pizza D'Amore to feed 15-16 people for a work lunch. We ordered one $38 Party Size Pepperoni Pizza, 28" which is cut into 50 squares and one $32 Family Size BBQ Chicken Pizza which was cut into 18 thin slices. We also ordered a full try of salad, which we could choose two large dressings with. It was the perfect amount of food for our group, and the prices were the best around. I appreciated the friendly customer service, convenience of placing my order over the phone, and accuracy of our order. The pizzas were tasty and fully covered with toppings. The salad had generous servings of toppings as well. Their website has a ton of specials including those for holidays, group gatherings, even daily! I would recommend Pizza D'Amore for your next group gathering! I look forward to trying more of their menu items in the future.

Food is very fresh and reasonably priced when you get the walk in specials. Definitely a must try and keep a local business busy!

Yummy pizza best in town They are know for their giant pizza. They also have a heart shape pizza. I love their homemade sauce. Service is always quick, I do suggest to call in your order. FYI the place Is a small hole on the wall, only take outs.. Limited parking on the back of the building.

Best $ spent on a calzone! It was packed with flavor, perfectly baked, and generously filled--definitely a great value. ‍‍ Service: Quick and friendly, made the experience even better. Rating: 5/5 If you want to follow along for more eats, check out @joh.eats on Instagram!

This is so small for the price and the cheese is melted on the lettuce so I probably wouldn't order a salad again

Disappointed in the salad the lettuce is hot melted cheese We enjoyed the pizza. It's a little expensive for the size but the taste was good

This is great pizza and hits the spot every time we order. Would get five stars if they offered forks for their salads and plates.

We didn't have reservations, so we expected a wait. The restaurant was packed, and we ended up waiting about 30 minutes to be seated. We ordered the truffle garlic bread, spicy rigatoni vodka, squid ink tonnarreli and a pizza with half The Pig and half hot honey prosciutto. Spicy Rigatoni Vodka - 4/5 The dish was delicious, and you could definitely tell the pasta was handmade. It wasn't spicy at all to me, but I also have a pretty high spice tolerance. I do wish it had more meat, and the portion size felt a little small. I was shocked to find out it was nearly 2,000 calories for the amount served. Squid Ink Tonnarreli - 5/5 This was probably my favorite dish of the night. It was rich, savory, and really flavorful. I'd never had squid ink pasta before, although I've had Filipino squid cooked in squid ink many times. The dish came with squid, shrimp, and a spicy tomato-based sauce. We asked for it mild, but I honestly think it would've been even better spicy. The portion size was good too. Pizza - 3/5 Since they make handmade pasta, I assumed the pizza dough would be amazing, but it was just average. Parts of the crust were a little burnt. The Pig (their all-meat pizza) was okay but slightly too salty for me. The hot honey prosciutto side was better, although they were pretty light on the toppings. I probably wouldn't order pizza here again. Truffle Garlic Bread - 4/5 Really good, but overpriced at $18.50 for 9 small square pieces. The bread was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and very buttery. Customer Service - 5/5 Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and explained the menu really well. I appreciated that she mentioned the spice levels could be adjusted on certain dishes. She also refilled my iced tea without me having to ask and even brought me a to-go cup for it. Overall, we had a good experience. The food was solid, and the service was great. However, the portions felt a bit small for the price, especially compared to similar restaurants, and I was surprised they didn't offer complimentary bread. I'm glad I tried it, but I'm not sure if I'd go back regularly.

The most disappointing and inedible dish of all was the trenette with pesto. While the pasta tasted home made the pesto was the too-often-seen-in-American-restaurants pesto cream soup and pretty flavorless (we all agreed that it wasn't even salted properly). My friend who had the ravioli bolognese was satisfied and reported that the ravioli were homemade. The eggplant parmigiano was ok in that the eggplant was properly cooked but not particularly tasty. It came with a side of overcooked rehydrated penne that was like mush. The service was not horrible. Our server was polite but unwilling to split two entrees. She did bring us a couple of little plates. Given that one of the entrees was the pesto, there ended up being no need because that dish was so awful that we each tried one bite and wanted nothing to do with it. This is when a suburb server would notice that it hadn't hardly been touched and apologize and comp it. No such offer or apology. I would never go back!

We were able to do all the planning, etc. over the phone. The day of the luncheon, we arrived early and were greeted by Christian who was our main contact. He brought two extra tables into the room so we could set up photo displays, and quickly and seamlessly reacted when our headcount went from 30 people to 36 just minutes before guests were scheduled to arrive. In addition to Christian, Benji and Alondra ensured the comfort of our guests by offering drinks, refills, quick clean-up of table settings as we moved to the next meal offering, and many other kindnesses. Our guests commented not only on the beautiful room and the food, but on the friendliness and professionalism of the crew. A'Roma's private room is beautiful, and the afternoon was truly amazing. On the website right before placing the order, there is a pop-up that says I should order on the .mobile app to avoid "crazy fees". I clicked on it and it said "website could not be found". So I ordered through the website instead. I ordered a large pizza with half just cheese and olives, and the other half pepperoni and mushrooms. I also grabbed an order of garlic cheese bread because it sounded delicious. The pizza ready on time and was hot and fresh even when we got it home. The slices feel "heavy", like they are well loaded with sauce and cheese! Upon opening the box, I realized immediately that they did not include the mushrooms I paid for. There is an upcharge for each topping, and it doesn't look like the cost changes whether they are on the whole pizza or just half. But I paid extra for a topping I did not receive. I even checked my receipt to confirm that it was included on the order. The pizza tasted fine; standard delivery/chain pizza place quality. My only complaint is missing my mushrooms! The garlic cheese bread was ok. It looks really good in pictures but mine wasn't super cheesy. I didn't get a picture before everybody grabbed some. It was good but I don't think I would order it again. Overall the pizza is good and was made fresh, pepperoni was good, and we would come back for another pizza craving.

Yelp reviews brought us in but the food, the vibe, and Lisa and her family will bring us back when we're back in town. And the music was perfect which makes the vibe too cool. We started with fried artichokes that were perfect, not too much breading and the artichokes were trimmed so you didn't get those tough leaf pieces (pet peeve!) but I would've liked a better sauce than ranch dressing like a lemon aioli or even a creamy light pesto-but I digress and they were fabulous! I had the fresh-made pappardelle bolognese special which was awesome and my son had his favorite pepperoni pizza. TIP: always look at the specials first but I got the feeling looking around that everything is good. I truly struggled with the menu for 10, ok 20 minutes because I wanted EVERYTHING! Seated right next to the kitchen was awesome as I saw all the food come out and was wrapped in fab food aromas making my choice harder. The cheesecake my son ordered was exceptional and our server gave him the works: caramel, chocolate and strawberry sauces and my boosy affogato was great and even though the were out of the biscotti, Lisa's son brought me a pirouette which was very sweet. They should put a disclaimer that you may only get 2 pieces instead of 3 as listed on the menu. When I asked the staff about it, the chef said it's because the pieces given are the same as 3 which was a bit weird since the pieces didn't look that big compared to the photos on Yelp. This dish also comes with a salad. Chicken katsu curry- I ordered it medium, but honestly the curry is on the sweeter side with no heat at all. You also get raisins which makes the curry even sweeter. For $26, it's not a good price point for this type of dish. You can get this dish for much cheaper at other establishments. I would pass on this dish. Staff was nice and interior is clean and a bit cramped. My meal was over $100 for the 3 items which I normally wouldn't mind if the quality offsets portions given. Be prepared to spend lots if you want to get full! Also, keep in mind they charge an NCA fee if you don't pay cash. This place is a solid 3.5 for me.
