Me on my birthday a few years back having boysenberry beer
    Vanessa G.

I love this saloon! Its got that nostalgic western ambiance, and its a great place to stop and have an adult beverage. The piano is fun and there is even snacks, like popcorn and giant pretzels. This is always our first stop when we get to Knotts. Service has always been great.

One of the few drinking options at Knotts. This is located inside the Calico Park. I like the saloon theme and that there is indoor and outdoor seated. Grabbed us a couple of drinks for about $15 each which is of course overpriced but it was refreshing and it hit the spot.

Small little bar located in calico park, wait time was less than 5mins before 12pm after 12 it's about a 10-15 min wait. Ordered two boysenberry margaritas and surprisingly had a strong kick! Only a available during the boysenberry festival. Definitely worth a try.

This place gets better as we age. I'm anticipating that by the time I'll be bringing my kids to their Snoopy pilgrimage, this adult watering hole will become my favorite place to relax and rest my feet with a delicious boysenberry drink. The decor here keeps with the wild west theme, and the holiday spirit brings in a fun Christmas song performance. Definitely grab a boysenberry vodka smoothie to cool off on the second floor and enjoy the view!

After riding some roller coasters , a nice cold alcoholic beverage sounds great. Took awhile to figure out a place to get one, but finally came across a worker , who guided us in the right direction. This is a cool saloon... line waiting outside , about a ten minute wait ... not bad. The menu is on the doors; so you can glance at it and have an idea what you want to order, when your called up. They do check id's , so be prepared. Bar tenders are very nice and friendly. Whipped up the drinks in no time. Tasty and refreshing boysenberry mojito- nice strong drink. The ipa was quenching and refreshing on a hot day. The saloon vibe is very appealing and the theme is on point. There's some table and chairs to sit at , and watch the entertainment on the stage , behind the bar. This is a nice place to take a break, cool - down and relax in between rides .

My company's summer event took place at Knott's. My boss and coworkers wanted some cold, refreshing beer to help cool down in the crazy heat. We settled on Calico Saloon for its boysenberry beer because it's one of the boysenberry products that Knott's is known for. The saloon is cute with that wild west vibe. However, the boysenberry beer was just not amazing. We don't taste the boysenberry at all. If we did, the flavor was hardly recognizable on our tongues. Yes, it was cold beer and it got the job done, but the beer was also only slightly carbonated. It became flat very quickly. For $12/cup, the boysenberry beer was definitely lacking. There's no difference between regular beer and boysenberry beer that day.

Stopped in for a drink and a pickle. Friendly bartenders and a nice selection of drinks made this a good stop! I will say, it could've been a little faster to get through here, and the menu wasn't posted outside with all the seasonal drinks, so I didn't know what to order until I got up to the bar. But overall, it was a positive experience!

They sell beer here & Sarsaparilla for the grommets! If you don't know what Sarsaparilla is its kinda like the Old Wests version of root beer. This past visit they only had Budweiser, BudLight, for around $10 & ShockTop for $1 more. This is one of the only permanent places inside Knotts that sells beer that automaticity deserves full stars! They also have a few snack foods you can order here but if your going to come here just get beer I mean come on you know how good it's going to taste after you've been chillin in the sun for most of the day dealing with those pesky kids wanting to see Snoopy. They also have the Calico Saloon Show here it pretty much consists of your typical old school saloon show with a piano it was definitely quite enjoyable to watch wile I sipped on my beer. We will definitely be hitting this watering hole up on one of the next visits to Knotts!

    Boysenberry Draft Beer

Great to be able to have an alcoholic beverage while at an amusement park. This is the place to get a beer or a glass of wine. Came here to try the boysenberry draft beer for $10.29. They also have craft, domestic draft and import beers; sodas, bottled water, popcorn and pickles. Ordered the boysenberry beer and sat up in the balcony to watch the 2:00 PM performance. The seating is pretty limited and if you sit in the back tables in the balcony you will not be able to view the show. Very cute love story between Cameo and Dan. A lot of fun audience participation. The piano player, Fingers, was funny. The beer was very refreshing but I was hoping for more hints of the boysenberry flavor. Still nice draft beer. Maybe I needed to pair the draft with a pickle.

Boysenberry beer and cider very good

Very cool through back saloon style entertainment and service. Love the boysenberry festival here with cider beer and wine all boysenberry. We tried so many of the tasting card and loving it all so far. First time here for this festival liking it. Just here 1 hours and 30 minutes. Happy girl

Ever since I turned 21 Calico Saloon is my new favorite spot. I love the Boysenberry Beer and Wine drinking it while having entertainment in the saloon. You do get a wristband that says ID checked so that security knows that your at least 21 and over but they may still ask for ID. They don't just have adult beverages here they have boysenberry soda, Sarsaparilla and sodas to refill your souvenir cups if you have one.

Great place to chill on a hot day. They have a saloon show that performs on the stage/bar area. Plenty of seating both downstairs and upstairs. They have a full bar, but only popcorn as food. Try the Boysenberry Beer for something new.

We headed to Rock & Brews to get lunch it about going to take five minutes depending on the Traffic. We arrive at the restaurant Rock & Brews looks so cool from the outside but the inside we couldn't wait to see how's inside looks. We step in we're amazing the size and full of best bands from the 60' thru the present time they have live band on the weekend. We got seated right and the waiter came hand us the menu then I got our drink order,we're looking at menu they have a very good section to choice from but my wife decided to the bbq chicken salad then I order the Demon chicken chicken with sweet potato fries cost little bit more then we order the giant soft authentic Bavarian pretzel on a guitar holder comes with mustard but beer cheese dip is $4 extra. The waiter brought us our giant soft authentic Bavarian pretzel we couldn't believe it was huge we took a piece of it we amazing how soft and crispy crust very good,we dip in the mustard very good but we try the beer cheese we're disappointed the beer cheese dip we felt didn't have a good cheese flavor and beer need be pair with the cheese any good quality cheese. Finally our food arrived at the table my wife bbq chicken salad look so good. I was very surprised to my Demon chicken sandwich it looks like an angry Demon due to using fresh Jalapeño pepper and what kind of spices they use on chicken breast for Demon chicken anyways I took a biteof of Demon chicken sandwich it was incredible good but spicy but coleslaw cools down the heat. The sweet potato fries was good I really enjoy it. My wife love the bbq chicken salad and the giant pretzel. I love the food but the service was amazing good we like to thank our server thank you.

Everything was really good. The food was solid, and the pricing felt fair for today's world--not cheap, but not outrageous either. Honestly, since it's inside a hotel, my expectations weren't sky-high, but the food pleasantly surprised me. I'd definitely come back, especially to try their brunch. The reason it's four stars instead of five comes down to the atmosphere and staffing. The restaurant sits right in the hotel lobby with no walls, so you hear everything--hotel guests coming and going, music playing in the lobby, the TV from the bar, and general foot traffic. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxed dinner, this might feel a little overstimulating. Also, our waiter (who was great, by the way) seemed to be doing the job of about three people. He was taking orders, bringing drinks and food, running payments, and even delivering room service. The poor guy was working like he owed the hotel money. On a Friday night, they could definitely use more staff. That said, the food was good, the service was kind, and I'd still come back--next time probably for brunch.

Unsafe Conditions, Dismissive Management & Unnecessary Security Call…read more I was dining at Thirty Acres Kitchen inside the Knott's Hotel when water started dripping directly from the ceiling onto me. There was also standing water on the floor with no wet floor signs, barriers, or any warnings whatsoever. This was a clear slip-and-fall hazard in a busy restaurant. I calmly brought it to the attention of the manager on duty, Julie, and pointed out how dangerous it was--especially for guests using wheelchairs or with mobility needs, this was particularly concerning. Instead of addressing the problem, she dismissed it as "not a big deal," refused to complete any incident report, gave me a negative attitude with a mean facial expression, and then called security on me as if I was the problem. When the young security guard arrived, he asked for my ID. I politely refused and explained the situation calmly--he looked surprised but not defensive. I have photos documenting the ceiling leak, standing water, and lack of signage. This experience was disappointing and unsafe, especially from a hotel restaurant attached to a family theme park. Management should prioritize fixing hazards and training staff to handle legitimate guest concerns professionally rather than escalating them. I hope Knott's / Six Flags investigates and improves. This was my first time coming to this restaurant.

Although CJ's was a much better restaurant from 1977-2005 when privately run by the Nickoloff family and took another quality hit when the otherwise excellent Landry's chain took over in 2010, the remaining locations, including this one, are still decent sit down, casual, and family dining restaurants. After visiting several times for lunch and dinner on both weekdays and weekends during both peak and non-peak hours, in our opinion, Yelpers who have complained about poor service both from servers and seaters as well as the seats being run down have not had a typical experience here. Although getting seated was a little slow on several of our visits, the people who seated did not have a bad attitude and on a few occasions it was our server. Although several of our servers here were friendly and attentive, Austin on our last visit, really did a good job. This is one of the only remaining CJ's that still has a salad bar and we have gotten it on several visits. We have also had the ribs and chicken pot pie at this location as well as some of their cocktails. Although it is sad that soup is no longer included in the salad bar, the food quality is still good and comparable to other renaming CJ locations such as in San Diego and Vegas (Henderson). This CJ's is located in a strip mall with limited parking and is across the street from Knott's Berry Farm. Parking can be difficult and the spaces are small, but we have always been able to find a spot so far. There are several other good restaurants in the area, but if you are visiting Knott's and want a sit down, casual, and family dining experience, this CJ's is a good choice and better than eating at Knott's--CJ's chicken pot pie is bigger and better than Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant. The 3.1 current Yelp average for this CJ's location is too low--it should be a 4 star. It cannot be a 5 star unless the return to the former quality and quantity the restaurant had under the Nickoloff family.
