Hey stay 6ft back so I can order my fish & chips
Frank B.

SPUDS FISH & CHIPS on Green Lake is an institution for North Seattle Locals... Nothing more satisfying than a double fish & chips with cup of Chowda after a walk around Green Lake. First of all what a lunch time view you'll have while dining. However it's not the view it's the decades of quality fish deep fried fish served to perfection that keeps me dining. Every meal has tasted the same since I first stated dining here back in the 80's as a young punk swimming at the lake all summer long... The variety, quality and serving size is epic . Prawns , Claims & Fish on top of a mountain of some of the freshest Idaho potatos aka French Fries accompanying my order. Kudos to management for always having exceptional staff to handle my orders, it does not go unnoticed. Well I'm not sure I can elaborate anymore about how sensational Spuds Fish & Chips on Green Lake has been... So you're gonna have to stop by and grab a bite!

Double fish and chips, salts, vinegars, tarter and ketchup

Sunny walk down to check out SPUD while visiting family. Great guys at the counter and brought our LARGE fish and chips out to the table with salts, and vinegars (loved the garlic) Tarter was spot on. Great patio to people watch. They even offered to wrap our leftovers and gave us a bag for the walk home. Thanks guys-We'll be back

Spuds hit the spot when we needed lunch break after spending some time walking around Green Lake. What really stood out was the excellent customer service. Not only was the employee taking our order very friendly, but he explained portion sizes and made suggestions. He followed us outside offering condiments and then brought out all of the things we requested! The pieces of fish are very big, but they are kind of flat, which allows them to be nicely crisp, but have a bit less of a fleshy texture. I found it satisfying for an afternoon snack, despite not being exceptional. Adding garlic malt vinegar and Johnny's seasoning salt leveled up the satisfaction. The fries were more on the limp side, and while not my favorite, were again, satisfying. I also enjoyed being able to sit outside and look at the lake. While I would suggest other options for a more elevated Green Lake experience, I highly recommend Spuds for anyone looking for a quick satisfying bite in the sun and breeze.

Crunchy Fish and Chips

Came here for fish and chips with the family on a sunny and cool day. They were tasty, served hot and full of crunch. I like that service was able to get condiments available on hand. Location is easily accessible from around the lake after quite some walking. When craving for fish and chips I would come to Spud!

The staff are the best ~ so friendly and smiley. Their fish and chips are top tier but I mainly became a regular for the staff. The fish is always is a sizeable (if a piece is too small, they give another small) and I'm always well-satiated after single w/chips. And I love that they allow dogs on the patio And almost everything they use is compostable. Ambience is eco-fun.

fish and chips! (1 piece) such a big piece btw

yes so fire! a little walk away from the bus stop, but spud's is worth it forsure. the crispiest, yet juiciest fish. the fish portion was HUGE and not too fishy, and the chips (fries) are to die for. definitely try the seasonings and dressings they provide too, you wont be let down. the tartar sauce is light and creamy and bright. service was 5/5! super friendly and helpful, as it was our first time. theres indoor and outdoor seating across from a huge park, which allowed us to people watch. overall, super clean place with super clean food. not greasy at all, and in fact felt really clean to eat. one of my favorite fish and chips spot in seattle & ill be back!

I consistently have great service here. The staff are always welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The fish and chips are delicious, and I always get the vanilla milkshake! The space is clean and overlooks Green Lake, making it a great spot to dine in if you want to enjoy your meal fresh

I DID end up taking my wife here and we both loved it. Great food, if a tad expensive ($30 for two) for take-out.

My first taste of Local Tide was ordering their popular Lobster Roll to go several years ago…read more Unfortunately, I have no photos as I consumed it so fast! Today, I am still a fan of Local Tide's food. I love their collaboration with their next door neighbor Aslan Brewing, which have become a favorite after work hangout lately with co-workers for happy hour. You can order food from Local Tide directly at Aslan and they will bring your food to you. Don't miss getting the shareable Chips with Salmon Belly Dip. That is sooo good and you might have to order 2 or 3 plates. It goes fast because you can't just eat a few, lol. The Salmon Sando and Salmon Teriyaki bowl is of course really good, too. But the surprise for me was their super good Smash Burger that is perfect with their home style fries. Both Local Tide and Aslan are two stellar businesses in Fremont. You can't go wrong patronizing either business. Support both!!! It is worth your time and money!

We loved everything we tried, but the shrimp toast was an absolute standout! I don't think I've ever had shrimp served in this format that was so plump and juicy. The accompaniments elevated every bite, adding even more flavor, but even without them, the shrimp toast was incredible on its own. The shrimp really speaks for itself! The rockfish bowl was another favorite. The fish is prepared like a patty and is SO flavorful. Paired with the bright, fresh slaw and soft, warm rice, it makes for the most incredible bite. Every component complements the others beautifully. We also tried the salmon belly dip, and the textures were fantastic. The chips taste homemade and are perfectly thin and crispy, providing the ideal contrast to the rich, creamy dip. The best part is getting a nice chunk of salmon in your scoop! The staff deserves just as much praise as the food. Everyone was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming, and their recommendations were spot-on. You can tell when people genuinely know the menu and want you to have a great experience, and that made our visit even more special. The space is small and intimate, with a friendly, inviting atmosphere. When we visited, it wasn't very busy, but I could see seating becoming a challenge during peak hours, especially since I didn't notice any outdoor seating. Parking is also something to consider, as the area seems to rely primarily on street parking. I'd recommend giving yourself extra time to find a spot during busier periods. I'm still giving Local Tide five stars because our experience was phenomenal. Those potential logistical challenges didn't affect our visit, and I wouldn't want to take away from an experience that was genuinely wonderful. The food was delicious, the service was exceptional, and we left already planning our next visit. There are still so many things on the menu we want to try, which is always a good sign! Local Tide has officially made our list of Seattle spots to revisit. If you're a seafood lover looking for thoughtfully prepared food and genuinely welcoming service, this place is absolutely worth checking out!

Street meter or area Paid lot Parking…read more We went to Pikes Market to hang out and after scoring a parking a few feet away from Mr Fish we checked out their menu. Happy Hour started at 3:00 so we shopped and walked around Pikes Market. Later we returned for the delicious $2 fresh Tacoma Oysters on the HH menu and a beautiful table outside to sip our cocktails and people watch. After several rounds of Oysters we ordered "The King of the Sea" a Fish & Chips and Seafood Chowder combo from the regular menu for $22. The fries were soggy and limp so I didn't eat them. Fish and chowder was good. The service was excellent, bathrooms were decent, price was worth it.

We originally had other plans for lunch near Pike Place but every single restaurant we had on our…read morelist had huge lines and at least 30 minute waits. After starting to lose hope, we came across Mr. Fish, right past the edge of the main Pike Place area headed towards Belltown. It was around noon, and the place barely had any customers at all inside. Perhaps a bad sign? We would soon find out. World's Best Wild Salmon Burger ($26) - I expected this to be a minced salmon patty crammed with fillers, but this sandwich actually includes a portion of salmon fillet that's charred and seasoned well, giving a salty savory taste profile that's quite pleasing. Unfortunately it's cooked for too long, so the interior approaches being dry and chalky. For a thinner fillet, this wouldn't be an issue due to the large amount of tangy tarter sauce included in the sandwich to help moisten things up, but this thicker fish creates some major issues with dryness. On top of the fish, they add an entire pile of fresh arugula, at least an inch tall in height, giving plenty of peppery vegetalness. There's then some dill, pickles, and red onion for more freshness. The dryness of the salmon really gets to me and lowers my score quite a bit. This sandwich comes with fries, which are clearly freshly sliced and fried in house. They are thicker cut, so have plenty of fluffy center carbohydrate, and due to the house double fry, have wonderfully crisp edges, and more leathery and crusty faces. The salt levels are on the heavier side, but I always love to see well executed fries. (3/5) I also tried the Creamy Clam & Bacon Chowder Cup ($11) and the Smoked Seafood Chowder Cup ($11), but I only ate a spoonful or two of each. The former is a thickened, somewhat goopy chowder. It's not thick enough to hold a spoon in place, nor is it powdery or gritty at all, but it's so viscous that it takes some effort to slice a spoon through. Unfortunately there's not much actual stuff in this chowder, whether chunks of veggies or clams, or much seasoning at all. It's like drinking thickened, bland broth. The latter is a similar consistency and is filled with tomato and fishy brininess. Not my favorite flavor profile. By the time we left the restaurant about an hour later, it was completely full and there was a line to enter. But still, given the fact that it was nearly empty when we visited (and every other restaurant was full), it should have been a sign to stay away. This was my first visit to a Tom Douglas establishment, and I can't say that I'm very impressed. Bathrooms - Two unisex rooms. Food: [3/5] Service: [ ] Other: [ ] Final Rating: 3/5

The patio is comfortable and a lovely place for an early dinner outside on a beautiful day. To drink, we enjoyed their Chefs Special margarita, the Duke's Mai Tai, and a N/A Athletic Brewing IPA. The cocktails were beautiful and tasty! The margarita was sweet, balanced, and had a little bit of heat. We enjoyed the warm sourdough bread with butter before our meal. To eat, I had the Combo of fish & chips with classic clam chowder. The fried fish had the crunchiest panko breading and was soft and flaky inside. The fries were crispy and hot. The tartar sauce and ketchup were the perfect sauce accompaniments. The chowder was warm, creamy, and comforting. Finally, the coleslaw was a delicious final side on the plate. The other people in my party had the stuffed salmon and the stuffed halibut. The fish was cooked perfectly and the fillings were flavorful. The sauce was bright and tasty. The waiter said they would be 8 inches long, they weren't kidding lol I ordered the rockfish, and it was incredibly fresh, juicy, and packed with flavor. We also had a little 'dinghy' of clam chowder, which is their adorable mini serving! Honestly, it's one of the best clam chowders I've ever had. Even if you're ordering something else, get the dinghy so you don't get fomo. We chose to sit outside and enjoyed beautiful views of the sailboats while we ate, which made brunch scenic.
