Ordered a part (alternator) for our only vehicle from their site at 12:00 noon on 1/3/22 for next day delivery. Mind you, the item is housed per their website less than 15 miles away from us (in Mechanicsville). I placed a call to the customer service dept and was told the "hub" closed at 5pm yesterday due to weather. Was told the item now wouldn't be delivered until 1/5. I stated this is unacceptable. I ordered at 12 noon. If fed ex picks up at 9 pm central time, why wasn't the item put out by auto zone so it could be taken by fed ex for next day delivery as promised?? What'd I get?? Apologies. That's it. Well my son has COVID, high fever and this is our only vehicle. No way to get to the grocery store and I wouldn't want anyone to take me as I've been in the house with him. I depended on getting that item AS PROMISED. I even said it's less than 15 miles from me. Suggested perhaps they could deliver it to me as it's fairly close. So, I began my custom wheel purchasing journey in Richmond. I visited the wheel shops up and down Broad Street, and did some shopping online. I found RNR where Ian spent time explaining the differences in wheels and helped me determine what was the proper fit and best look for my 2012 Wrangler Unlimited. Unlike some of the other local shops he did not make me feel like I was asking too many questions and he pointed out things I had not thought of. Once I made my choice he ordered the wheels and had them in and installed the next day. Awesome customer service from the moment I walked in the door! I sat in the waiting area while my wheels were being installed and had the opportunity to observe other RNR staff members interact with customers. Each person was professional, courteous and very helpful. In fact there were a couple older ladies in getting new tires and the staff was very helpful and patient with them. My wheels look great and while I had my existing tires mounted on them I do plan to go to RNR when it is time to buy new tires.

After a long, long (whew), long drive from the opposite end of the Earth (OK, it was just from the…read morewest coast, but it seemed that far on the drive), I decided that it was time to take the lovely Clover (what? don't tell me that you don't name your Mini!) in for some special attention. Making an appointment was super easy. I had the option to call or make the appt. online. Drop-off was quick and stress-free. Being a first-time customer, they didn't have any info on my car, and all it took was to slip my key fob into a special device that brought up all of the information about my car (super cool). I was given the option to wait in the lounge or drop off (no loaners currently available). I chose to wait it out since I had no one to drive me home. The lounge is small, but comfy. Coffee, snacks, nice chairs, and tv are all available to make your wait a little nicer. On a side (ish) note, I love to shop for Mini products and found that they really didn't have much in terms of a product store. Just a few things (t-shirts, caps) available... sigh! After just over an hour, my service rep came back with a report for me (wow, that was fast) on what needed to be done, the cost, and how long it would take. I was out of there in about 2 hours with two new tires, alignment, and fresh fluids. They offered a car wash as well. I would definitely recommend Crown Mini for servicing your beloved Mini. They are efficient and reliable, and will take care of your car like it was their own Mini. Much Mini love to Crown staff!

Some of the techs are great! Others are... Meh?…read more Most mechanics, you get a diagnosis, come back and the same tech works to address the diagnosis. I don't know why BMW doesn't follow industry standard there, but an experienced tech will diagnose, but if you go back for anything (follow up, you didn't have time, etc.) a green tech will get your car without existing knowledge. Maybe it's a way to get a few more hours of labor as the new tech determines what's up. Whenever I've gotten the same tech in particular tho, it's always been fantastic and usually super quick too! As long as you specify, you should be good to go!
