One of the worst dealerships I've ever brought a Jeep to my drove so bad after I brought it to them and they talked me into spending $4700 on a new suspension. I already had a rough country suspension on it that worked fine until they worked on it. It drove like a wagon. I almost flipped it over going up the interstate. The guys in the shop recently lifted my 4Runner, added upper control arms, new wheels/tires and I couldn't be happier. Brian knows what he is talking about and didn't try to sell me on one product over another. He discussed all my options and pricing was fair with labor. Don't listen to the odd reviews- shop is under new management. Also I never felt different being a girl going into the shop and discussing my options. They treated me fairly and with respect. I dropped my 2014 F250 off to 4WDSC to address a mechanical issue. I asked them to also order me specifically NEW LED HEADLIGHTS (and tail lights). When I picked up the truck, the first thing I noticed was the headlights and taillights where from different manufactures and look completely different. The first night drive I noticed a modest improvement to the regular headlights but the high beams were actually less bright than the regular beams. When I called they stated, the NEW LED HEADLIGHTS did not come with high beam bulbs so they used the old halogen light bulbs from my original headlights. Frustrated since I spent $750 on the NEW LED HEADLIGHTS and almost $200 to have them installed, I asked them to order LED high-beam bulbs. During my next visit to address the original issue, I asked the technician if they had installed the new high beam LED bulbs. He went to the garage, returned, and stated without hesitation that NO LED bulbs were ordered and that the regular beams were NOT LED. Beyond frustrated, I called the manager and he stated that he ordered "LED Housings" and that ALL LED bulbs need to be ordered separately. To this point the manager has made NO MENTION that the regular headlight bulbs were not LED. (For context, the housing is the entire headlight assembly. Three types, 1. Halogen Housings (what was on my truck originally from Ford), 2. LED Housings (better light dispersion and LED bulb ready), 3. LED Headlights. The manager finally agreed to buy me bulbs but would charge me $62 to install them. I stated I would install myself. They were the wrong bulbs and I wasted 2 hours trying to install. I had to drop the truck off yet again for the still unresolved mechanical issue and just told him to install the bulbs he bought me. I did not disclose that I knew they were the wrong bulbs. I dropped it off for them to install. Manager called for me to pick it up and to pay the $400+ outstanding bill for the new LED bulbs. I inquired stating they already bought me bulbs. His response was that the bulbs he bought fit my original headlight housings, not the "NEW LED HOUSINGS" they bought. Begs a lot of questions as to why he would order bulbs for the original headlights and not the new ones that he installed. I told him to put the original bulbs back in. When I picked it up, one of the headlights did not work. I sent a text to the manager and a picture and received no response. I pulled the headlights off to try and resolve. Both the regular and high-beam bulbs were not even connected on the one that was not working . The headlights have a clamp and screw that holds the bulb in place. They just did not coincidently disconnect. When I went to reconnect them I noticed one of the clamps was broken and to make maters worse, after reconnecting the bulbs, the headlight did not and still to this date DOES NOT WORK! I called the manufacturer of the headlights to order LED bulbs and inquire about fixing the headlight and clamp. This is what broke me and why I am spending 2 hours to write two Yelp reviews and why I filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The manufacturer stated that I DO NOT even have "LED Housings". I have the lowest model "Halogen Housings" (again what was originally on my truck, just new). I immediately called 4WDSC and asked DIRECTLY for them to confirm they installed "LED Housings". Obviously they stated "Yes". When I told them what I knew the scrambling began and I disengaged. In summary, I specifically asked for NEW LED HEADLIGHTS. I paid $750 plus installation ($196) and received HALOGEN HOUSINGS, which again of note are EXACTLY what I had on my truck originally. MSRP for the new HALOGEN HOUSINGS they installed is $415 (81% markup on parts). They were going to charge me over $400 for the new LED bulbs which if purchased from the OEM are MSRP $125 for the set (69% markup on parts). They did not reconnect one of the headlights, broke a clamp, and one still does not work at all. To date they have made NO ATTEMPT to rectify the situation. I filed a formal complaint with the BBB, which they are not registered, and recieved no response to date. read more

So went in for an estimate for gears in my H2 , was truly floored with what was quoted 4500.00 . Items within the quote where 199.00 for fluids , 26.00 for silicon , 129.00 per axle to clean my axles . I'm all about helping a shop out but to nickel and dime me up charges is ridiculous . I know it's gears and gears are an animal in themselves , but I do 99.9 percent of of work on my own vehicles and I know what it takes and cost for Some of these items i was quoted . read more

The good.. The service was no problem and did the job in the time needed! The bad.. was over 10% more than quoted! Charged $120.00 to clean the differential that was being rebuilt, charged $60.00 to install the driveshaft (which has to be removed to rebuild the rear) because I removed it to get the vehicle there, and charged $60.00 to "modify" a part that they bought to work.. and added extra money For fluids that they forgot. It would have been different if they called to discuss. as a contractor.. I hope to do a job for these guys and then I can charge extra for items I may have forgotten and let it show on the bill later!! read more

I came in and Vince immediately was extremely helpful, helping me find wheel locks for my tires and getting me taken care of quickly. We've been consistently taking our Jeeps here for the past 3-4 years. Its usually just regular check-ups, oil changes or state inspections. These guys are experienced and certainly know what they're doing. The most crucial part of it is their service is top notch and honest. We've never been up-sold or recommended things that didn't actually need to be done. We usually work w/ Vince and he's a super nice, very knowledgeable guy thats always beyond helpful. Looking forward to bringing my Jeep and future Jeeps here for all that they need. EDITED: Not sure if mgmt has changed or if their business is in the toilet. The past few times, I've taken vehicles here they always claim to need SOMETHING in the tune of $400-$600. Last time it was brakes which we got done and the problem wasn't resolved and then had to pay it again at a different shop to have the problem corrected. This time a brand new Jeep failed inspection for something that has no way would go bad in 20k miles. I'd proceed with caution. This place is looking to grab any cash they can get. read more

I purchased a tool box from them on a new truck and had them install it. They responded to various questions I had by email. Surprised to see some of these bad reviews. They were friendly to me and took care of my job professionally. I did go in there about a year before with a Jeep looking to customize it up. They weren't as responsive on that--almost seemed dismissive like I wasn't serious about it. They missed out on some work on that. The person who helped me when I gave them a second chance was a different person. Not sure if different staff but my latest experience was positive. read more

Do NOT bring your vehicle. They charged me $600 for something I did not want to be done. Brought my Jeep in to diagnose a noise coming from the rear on deceleration. They diagnosed as a problem with the brakes and recommended replacing brake components. I picked up the car after almost a week with them, the noise is exactly the same as before I dropped it off, brakes operate exactly the same and there was a NEW check engine light on the dash when I started it up. Awful communication, I had to keep calling for updates after being promised calls. read more

I've been going to 4-Wheel Drive Specialty for years and have had no complaints with my pickups and my sedan. Just had my transmission go out on a Sunday and I had it towed to this shop on a Monday, Wednesday my transmission was installed and I was back on the road! Highly recommend this garage. read more

I took my to Jeep over to Vince at 4 Wheel Drive Specialty on Broad Street and he hooked me up with a great price and great service--the price of the tires was better than Walmart--and this shop really knows Jeeps. Their Jeep tech even figured out why my 4WD was not engaging, took a couple of things apart and replaced a seal (they had it in stock!), replaced some missing bolts, and I got a good price on everything. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Dirty, old, dusty, not professional enough to service customers. Why make customer wait when they have an appointment ? Doesn't make sense? If we have an appointment we would already have at least some kind of service after 3 hours of waiting. Help me out here? WhT is going on? read more
