When I walked in, the manager was very attentive and took the order immediately and was very welcoming but after he gave the order to his staff to take care of for me it went down hill. The meal was prepared in seconds which was odd because I barely sat down and when the person at check out showed me what I ordered and I asked her is that really all I get? She nodded and closed it right away. I was disappointed and being that it was my first time here, it wasn't a good sign for me. The portions were disappointing for a $16 meal. I felt like the person cutting the brisket didn't care to chop more and just threw it in the to go box because he was trying to get the attention and joke with another coworker and I ended up with an unfair amount. It was embarrassing to bring home this meal to my parents. They thought I ate some of it before I gave it to them, when what they gave me was the true portion. :/ Not worth the money I spent, I don't think I would come back or recommend this location. read more

This makes me so sad as Spring Creek has always been my favorite BBQ chain. I went Sunday 11/1 around 4 pm. They were fully staffed, manager on duty and I went in to order two stuffed potatoes. One with lean brisket the other sausage to go. We get home and I was so excited to eat my potato! I got them with extra fixings! My potato was OVER DONE, not just a little over done but so over done to where it's hard again and so dry. I literally ate 3 bites and thought to myself this is not worth the calories. My boyfriend did the sausage the sausage was under done. Neither of us were able to eat out $30 potatoes. Went here for lunch recently. Tried their newly advertised pulled pork. Oh, and I'm a lover of pulled pork, so perhaps I'm not the best judge. I've made it myself and tried it at different barbeque joints around. While Spring Creek Barbeque got the tenderness down pat, the flavor was just, well, okay. It definitely needed sauce, which they were very willing to provide -- two different varieties, one made especially for the pulled pork. It needed it. Service here was great. Their staff was very accommodating all around, from behind the counter when you were choosing your meal to check out to while you were seated. Prices were a bit steep, in my opinion, though. I had a sandwich with two sides that come with it. Lunch doesn't precipitate for me a massive amount of food, so not overloading my plate with sides and charging a generic price seemed to be somewhat unfair (as I saw some other rather hefty eaters almost need two plates to carry their sandwich and both sides despite the fact that I had quite a bit of empty space on my plate -- yet we were charged the same price). Slaw was particularly good; potato salad was mediocre. Glasses for drinks are set atop the drink machine, so if you'd like endless refills and one to take with you, make sure to request a "to go" cup prior to even grabbing one of those glasses. A good sandwich with an excellent staff. Clean facilities and a clean dining area. I've had better, but I've also had a whole lot worse. read more

Was hoping to have some good BBQ while visiting Texas and I got my wish on Easter Sunday! My brother in law ordered catering from here and it was fantastic. I have visited many of the Spring Creek BBQs in the area and my experience is the same. I chose to review this location since I visit it the most. I think their food is on par for quality and price compared to their competitors such as Dickey's or Rudy's...however I am not a BBQ snob. They're really good about getting you through the line fast during peak meal times. All of the staff have been very friendly and they even offer extra fresh rolls while you're dining in or waiting on a to-go order. Most of the time my meals are to-go and I'm in and out in under 5 minutes without calling ahead. My favorite thing to order is the chopped baker. It's basically a baked potato with BBQ brisket, cheese, butter, sour cream and chives on it. If you order it to go they give you a roll and extra BBQ sauce. Add a drink and it's about $12. read more

The BBQ at Spring Creek is always good! I usually get a stuffed baked potato but this time I had the brisket and ribs and I have to say the brisket was the best I have had in awhile! It was smoked beautifully with the right amount of marbling and bark on it that I really love. The ribs were fall off the bone goodness and added sweet BBQ sauce just made it that much more yummy! We've been coming to Spring Creek Barbecue since we have been in the neighborhood. I've tried most of the menu items and find them all to be quite decent and edible, as well as consistent. That is an achievement for barbecue. My favorite item on their menu is the sandwich basket. Whatever meat you choose on the sandwich will be tasty (I've had turkey and sausage) but what stands out for me are the fries--they are actually some of the best restaurant fries I've had anywhere, always served hot and crisp. Not a standard barbecue food but who cares? The hot fresh rolls delivered to your table are a very nice touch. The franchise is a mainstay of the neighborhood. They sponsor school Spirit Nights and actually have the space and staffing to handle them. As barbecue goes it's competent. But for consistency and convenience you can't beat this place. read more

First of all, the food isn't spectacular, especially for the price. The smoke flavor is VERY light. The option to have all you can eat sides is nice. Everyone raves about the rolls, they remind me of the bread at Furr's Cafeteria. The best thing about this location is the staff. They all acted like they were genuinely happy to be working there. Im not a barbecue expert, but I am a tasty food pro. The lunch special is great. You get a choice of meat and two sides plus 2 buns. I got the brisket, pinto beans and potato salad. The meat was so tender and juicy, the sauce was sweet, and the beans and potato salad rocked. Overall it was a great value for 10 bucks. I originally thought that I didn't get enough meat, but I was barely able to finish my meal. I was so pleased with the food that I went back the following day. The second time I got, pulled pork, mac & cheese and greens beans. The pulled pork was amazing, and I got quite a bit of meat. Pretty solid food and experience at this place. Food: I had the chicken BBQ with the sauce and it was pretty darned good! The sides that I added on were Mac n Cheese and potato salad. The Mac n cheese was WEAK. No flavor whatsoever. The potato salad was much better, but not the best I've had. At the line, they also served corn on the cob, green peas, and salad as sides. They had desserts like cream pies, pecan pie, and banana pudding. My sister got a piece of pecan pie and was pleased with it. They also walk around serving an unlimited number of fresh and hot buns. When you finish your meal, they walk around again and serve a generous scoop of Blue Bell vanilla ice cream, which is GREAT. Service: the guys that cut the meat were very nice and pretty lively. They sang songs to themselves or with each other about the meats that we ordered. The woman at the register was also very sweet and helpful. The only thing was that she forgot to give us our silverware so we had to get up and ask her. That's it as far as service goes, because it's self serve after that--as in you have to get up to get your drinks or get up to get a to go box. I don't mind though, because I tend to gulp down my water faster than the average person and am usually left waiting for the waiter to come back at typical restaurants! The food is what you would expect form the franchise but the service is poor. I have door dashed three times from this location and have had to pick up missing items twice now. I'm not sure who's job it is to spot check orders before they are picked up but each time I've called to ask what happened Spring Creek apologized because they didn't make it so the dasher left with everything that was labeled for us. I have them a few tries because I try to be fair. We all have off days and make mistakes. Most places when they know a mistake was made on their part will offer to comp the meal or offer vouchers for future meals. So far this location has offered for me to drive down and pick up what was missed or a coupon to get what was missing on a future meal. I dash because I have three small kids and having to drive here to fix their mistake is very inconvenient and then to not care enough to make things better just shows poor training. I get most employees are high schoolers and kids and the problem doesn't sit with them. The issue is those who know and don't train. I'm not sure I'll order here again since the benefits of ordering don't exist. I'll just go sit at other locations if is like to eat bbq or dash from a competitor. read more

***UPDATE*** Spring Creek barbecue: director of marketing-called me the other day and sincerely apologized. We talked for quite a long time. He wanted to understand the weight-loss surgery and how it affects food. He said that he is going to retrain his staff on how to handle situations like that so it doesn't happen again. They are also looking into an adult option for people who can't physically eat large portions anymore. My husband and I came in here to eat and I had asked for a kids meal. The guy that took my order said because I'm not 12 and under I could not order a kids meal. I explained to him that I had weight-loss surgery and that the doctor provided me with a card saying that I'm allowed to order a kids meal due to the small amount of food I can consume at a time. He asked a manager to come over so I can explain the situation. The manager, Andrew told me that it didn't matter about my weight-loss surgery that I was still not allowed to order a kids meal. Needless to say I was very upset. This was the first time that I have been to any restaurant in the past 11 months where they have not allowed me to order a kids meal. This place is no different than any other Spring Creek BBQ. The meats to me are *okay*, it's not bad BBQ, but it's not that finger-licking good homemade tasting that you dream of either. I typically stick to the brisket & sausage. The sides are also your typical fare, beans, cole slaw, potato salad, mac & cheese, etc. The one thing that is their saving grace is the warm rolls that a person will walk around the place and bring to you. Deserts aren't too shabby either. This place is kid friendly, since most little kids like the mac & cheese and the rolls. But rather than say hello, it sounded like the phone was laid down (I could hear background noise), and soon after was disconnected. Yes, it gets a bit noisy as it is a very popular place. Very disappointed in my experience today. I made an online order expecting to be in and out. Order was supposed to be ready at 7:11. When I got there, they said my order was still being prepared. Waited about 25 mins because they "didn't print out the order".
