I had a coupon to visit this restaurant and it was my first time trying them. My friends and I visited around 6pm on a week day and it was not busy. We were able to walk in and place our order with ease. The decor is homey, clean, and the restaurant has nice natural light. There is plenty of seating from picnic tables, booths, and regular 4 to 6 table settings. The line set up is like Luby's, you get a tray and silverware set. The first station was the meat. There was chicken, ribs, brisket, pork, and sausage to choose from. I chose the 2 meat dinner with two sides and a dinner roll. I was allowed to sample the sausage before deciding. I chose the brisket and peppered sausage. It came with a sample size cup of barbecue sauce. I chose the potato salad and beans for my side. You can get jalapeños, pickles, butter and other fixings at the station after the sides. I know they have desserts, but I didn't look at them. The drinks are the last station before paying. Once we chose our seats, we were all so hungry non of us got a picture. While we were eating periodically there was a staff member coming around asking if we'd like warm bread. My friends enjoyed their meat choices, but the sides had varying opinions. Two of us had the potato salad and thoroughly enjoyed it. Two of us had beans and did not like them. Two had the Mac n cheese and they did not like it. However, one friend put pepper on the Mac n cheese and she said, it made it edible. Majority of the workers seemed to be high school students and they were kind, professional, and took their job seriously. I came in and placed an order around 8:30. The order taker for orders going out was very nice.even asked if I'd like a drink while I waited. I ordered the family pack for $69.99with three veggies. It my family's first time eating here so we were excited to try some good BBQ but good BBQ is not what we got. I believe the brisket was the remnants of the days cooking. It was very dry and overcooked. There were big chunks of bark in the pack and the sausage was mushy. The sides were good and the rolls were amazing. Service is very good! Quick service whether you dine in or carry out. I like the ambiance. The food is marginal. The barbecue chicken is their best tasting protein. It's juicy and flavorful. Their sausages, brisket and ribs are just ok if you're starving. The baked potatoes are safe. The sides are marginal. I get the green beans to get through, but I don't like any of the other sides and I've tried the mac n cheese, potato salad and baked beans. The free bread is yummy and you get more once you sit down. As a BBQ restaurant, it's not as good as Pinkerton's or Pappas BBQ. For the location, you can get a balanced meal close to your neighborhood. Lots of people love this place but I only go if I'm absolute starving and don't have time. read more

I was told about the Que Rewards program & it's free & I received a free peach cobbler with blue bell vanilla ice cream scoop! Delicious! It was a big portion and my husband ate most of it. Lol. The Roll lady comes around with warm bread & you get a free drink while you wait for your take out food. We ordered two BBQ plates. One with Peppered Sausage, the other Lean Brisket. You get a fairly large size bbq sauce. We had some left in the cup. Our sides were mac & cheese, Cole slaw, Pinto beans, and potato salad. I especially liked the potato salad. The beans were good but sort of sweet for Pintos. You get whole jalapeños, rolls, 2 per person (not counting the two free I took from Roll lady) and onions & pickles. So, the meat was flavorful & tender & moist. We enjoyed our dinners & dessert for around $40 for two adults is good for all you get. I hear the green beans are good so we can try next tome. I wasn't a fan of the plain tasting cole slaw. The mac & cheese was "ok". I would like to eat inside next time. It's got a clean & nice & cozy atmosphere. Sorry I forgot to take pictures. Classic Texas BBQ. All the standards. Brisket, chicken, ribs, pulled pork, sausage (mild & spicy). The sauce is very good. The ribs fell off the bone. No knife needed for the brisket. And the sausage - well let's just say that this Wisconsin raised boy was impressed. Add some classic sides: Mac and cheese, beans, okra, corn on the cob. But wait. There's more. The bread is heavenly. Warm, soft, sweet, and flavorful. AND. As we were getting ready to leave, a very nice young lady offered us as many as we wanted to go. This young lady also attended us at our table. Great service with a smile. And now, my benchmark of a good down home restaurant - the dessert. Coconut cream pie. The black gentlemen cutting the meats were very nice and welcoming but the white guy at the cashregister was rude to my mother. The food is terrible, the meats are okay at best with all the sides being cold or just uncooked like the beans. A little disappointed today as we were really looking forward to coming to this location. Our location was the 1960 location which is now closed. My mom has been craving the spud or all the way brisket potato for awhile. It's so filling too! When we came in, the gentleman at the cutting board asked my mom what she wanted and totally overlooked me. I had to ask the second gentleman who fixed my mom's plate to double the order. He was supposed to get the plate from the first guy like an assembly line. He did a great job and made up for the first person. We paid, sat down, and everything went smoother from there. Except for the wonderful black gentleman cutting the meats and the lovely lady that brings the bread to the tables there is no reason to visit this place. Granted the food is as good as most except Rudy's which is the best. All of the other employees act like their dog passed away. I used to tip $10 at the register everytime we paid for our meal but never an expression or thank you. They just look at it and put it away. I am not looking for praise, I just wish to brighten peoples day. They have an app that if you install it and become a club member you get a free dessert so I finally tried it. I could get the app to work and an employee tried to no avail so I tested the restaurant by asking if I still get the free dessert for all the time wasted and they said I would have to talk with the manager. While I don't think the BBQ is exceptional, it is enhanced by the customer experience. We mostly take out but have dined in several times over the years. Turkey is always pretty moist and ribs are great for a chain. My only real complaint would back off the salt on the brisket. I'm torn on this review, so I'm going in the middle with 3 stars. Some great, some bad. The great: Who doesn't love fresh, hot-out-of-the-oven baked rolls? Probably one of the best reasons to visit Spring Creek BBQ. The turkey was delicious and moist, too. Not a lot of smokey flavor, but it was tasty. The mac and cheese seemed The bad: Unfortunately, the rest of the BBQ. The ribs were awful! Super dry and hard to eat! They were a big disappointment and a waste of money! The brisket was only "okay" to me. We usually get much better brisket at most other BBQ restaurants we go to, even other big red/yellow chains. The sides (besides the mac & cheese) were... meh. Another big let-down is that they don't let you go back for "refills" on your sides (like they used to do before Covid-19 happened). I don't get this. It isn't like customers are handing them a dirty, used dish, and they are "refilling" a used dish. They would always use a clean dish. What is the difference then and now? I think it is just a lousy excuse to save some money and pinch pennies. It is really too bad. We used to really like this place, but it has become a poor experience. To top it off, our meal (2 adults and 3 kids - ages 9, 11, & 13) cost $88.60 + tip!!! That is WAY too much for mediocre food! This is with everyone drinking water, too (except for 1 soda). Just nuts. The interesting things about this BBQ restaurant are their unlimited refills on veggies, they probably mostly sell plate dinners, the separate line for to-go orders, and the Blue Bell ice cream and cobbler area. Note: You can order by the pound as well, but it's not displayed on the menu when ordering unless you walk over to the to-go area past the register. Prices were about the same as Rudy's for example, but the food doesn't even come close in comparison to quality or taste. I ordered 1/2 lb marbled brisket, 1/2 lb ribs, 1/4 pound of black pepper sausage, and mac and cheese. Total was around $29 The first item I sampled on the plate was brisket, and OMG, was that first piece salty! Subsequent pieces were not as salty, but they were tender and chewy at the same time with a texture similar to rubber. I could tell the quality of the meat was a little questionable. Next up was the sausage, OMG, this was even saltier than the brisket. Every single piece was salty, and I could barely even eat it. The pork ribs are just ribs, not juicy, not flavorful, just ribs......nothing special here. The mac and cheese was not good either. They were having some sort of school spirit night here the evening I came, so it was packed with kids! I doubt I'll be going back. The freshly baked rolls didn't impress me. There are many other country cooking restaurants with fresh rolls, and these were just okay.
