Most of it was eaten by the time photo was taken.

The food is pretty good and decently priced. The baked beans seemed a little lacking in flavor. The reason for the 5 stars is for the okra. It's hard enough to find okra but the okra here was made fresh and some of the best okra I've had.

Like others have said: get the brisket, it's amazing, piping with juiciness and a perfect flavor! Yum! They know how to do it right here. Could've used some spicy Bbq sauce, but you can't have everything. Mac n cheese side was ok, not cheesy enough for me. The potato salad was really delicious and one of the best I ever had. For real! Service was self-serve, get a tray, plates and silverware, and order from each station. Everyone was nice and friendly and getting our food was easy. Nice decor throughout the restaurant, you definitely know you're in a Texas BBQ place! I'd return here again if ever in town and in need of a brisket fix. Yum!

Mudder telling me that the only reason they serve us on trays and we don't eat on them is because if we did we would be barbarians!

Brisket was over the top! I mother had lean and I had marbled. We could have split a sandwich! The only problem that I had was they had no spicy sauce and I grew up on Randy Martin's BBQ sauce. There will be none other than that!

Alright, look-it. You're not going to like your whole family...so you can't expect to like a whole BBQ joint. Let me explain: 1. The meat is awesome (we tried brisket, sausage, and ribs). Being able to call your cut of brisket is great, too. 2. The sides though. They were ok. That's all I can say. That's all I will say. One notable exception is the bread - get it fresh out of the oven - it's great!. I'll say it again, few things are perfect, but the bbq is tasty. Simple math.

I did not care for this barbecue at all, I had the sausage and brisket plate with beans and macaroni and cheese. The macaroni and cheese tasted like it came straight out of a box the beans were ok. The rolls look good but they did not taste good at all it was horrible, I was so disappointed and will not return I would not recommend.

Place has a nice bbq joint feel to it but the food was only mediocre. Tea was really good though.

They put it in a to go box, probably because they didn't think I'd finish it and they were right. Lol The brisket was excellent. Juicy, flavorful and I was surprised that the burnt bark parts weren't completely dried out. The ribs were tasty as well with a sweet, black pepper blend and they almost fell off the bone. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. The only slight complaint I have is that the music was a tinge loud but I was sitting in a corner. This wasn't enough for me to take their any of their 5 star rating away though!

However, from the lackluster flavors, poor marbling of the beat, and lack of air conditioning in HOUSTON, I was left feeling quite disappointed. The main star of any Barbecue joint should be the meats that have been meticulously worked on for many hours. When the star of the show are the sides, you have a problem. The baked beans, mac and cheese, collared greens, and Brussels sprouts are delicious, as expected. The brisket was absolutely dried to the point where I couldn't tell if I was wiping my mouth with a napkin or the brisket. Yes, I ordered it fatty. The ribs were terribly marbled. If one bite was a dry portion of the rib, the other bite was an entire glob of fat. Perhaps that's how ribs are sometimes, but my experiences with many other Barbecue joints in Houston were not so much that. Take your hard-earned money and try some of the local mama/papa joints Houston has to offer.

We came a little earlier and there was already a long line. I heard that if you order in advance, you can skip the line. While you wait, the employees walk around and you can order a drink. Which is nice if you're waiting a while and it gets hot. The employees were all very nice and ambiance is how you would expect a regular bbq restaurant to be. There are plenty of seating outside but limited inside. The seats are all first come first serve, so usually the inside seating runs out first. We ordered 1/2lb ribs, 1/2lb brisket, 1/2lb sausages, and some sides like Mac&cheese, beans, loaded potato, cobbler, etc. total was about $120 after tip. The food was very delicious and worth the drive. Although, I will say that it doesn't taste that much different from my other favorite bbq restaurants. I was still a great experience and very delicious. I highly recommend to try if you're in the area.

I've tried those deemed "the best," including Salt Lick in Driftwood and Killen's. So how did CorkScrew measure up? In addition to the beef rib, we tried the moist brisket, pulled pork, and sausage. We also tried several sides, including those recommended in the Michelin review: potato salad, mac and cheese, smokey beans, and coleslaw, and I picked up a peach cobbler, as well. The beef rib: STELLAR. This was outstanding with its flavorful bark and an impossibly tender texture that truly melts in your mouth, unlike any other beef rib I've ever had. Easily the very best beef rib, without a doubt. The brisket was delicious, as well: tender and flavorful. The sausage was nothing special... on par with sausage elsewhere, as was the pork. As for the sides, I've never been a fan of beans, but since the Michelin review specifically mentioned them, I gave them a try. I'm a fan! I would definitely order these again. Their smokiness is gently tamed by a touch of sweetness. The rest? Very average. The mac and cheese tasted like the stuff I had in my elementary school cafeteria - very un-special. The potato salad was salty and was missing any semblance of potato chunks. The texture was oddly like lumpy mashed potatoes. But the other surprise for me: the cobbler. This was simply and divinely perfect with crisp, sweet buttery crumble. A wonderful way to end a hearty meal. I'm so glad I ordered our food online for pickup. When I arrived at 1pm, the line was wrapped around the building. Pickup was very easy: I texted them when I arrived, and they replied when they were ready for me to go in and retrieve it. But even if there wasn't a line, I would never eat there: the restaurant is too divey for me: very rustic, picnic-like feel both inside and out, and it was uncomfortably warm and humid (again, inside and out.) The staff was very friendly and cheerful. Glad i tried it, and when i get a hankering for a good beef rib, this is definitely where I'll be getting it!

Great value for time/money I stopped in at 3rd coast BBQ on a Thursday at lunchtime. There was a little parking, but not a massive amount. There was almost no line at all when we got there - I think we waited for about 10 min & waited another 10 for our food. The food itself was really good! They had a large menu & I thought the prices were very reasonable. For 3 meats and 3 sides it was about $50. We got two ribs, brisket (mixed) and the cheddar and jalapeño sausage links. Everything was pretty yummy. I thought the brisket was nice and tender while still having some great flavor. Both the fatty and lean brisket were pretty good. The ribs were super tender and the flavor was smoky and sweet. The sausage links were decent. I will say the food wasn't quote corkscrew level, but was still pretty solid. The ambiance here was really great. I liked the outdoor patio vibe & really homey feel. I liked the tin roof (it rained while we were there & I loved the sound!) & there was plenty of seating. Full of brisket and sausage its pretty damn good. The jalapeño sausage is a great, perfect grind size and coarseness. Sides are above average. For me hands down the cajun potato salad is the best I tried today. My dining partner raved about the collard greens and coleslaw. Despite that, the meat itself was fantastic. The ribs were hearty and very tender, and the pork belly had a nice flavor, but was a little on the dry side. The pork belly burnt ends were a unique treat. They were covered in a spicy barbecue sauce, which was a pleasant surprise since I usually prefer a fruity base like peach or apricot. The absolute standout was the sausage. It was a perfectly cooked, double-grind sausage with a delicious chili relleno taste. It was cheesy and had an excellent flavor that made it one of my favorite sausage offerings to date. For the sides, the carrot soufflé was a highlight.
