Found Spot Dessert Bar in Flushing while I was out and I was craving a matcha, so I decided to try their strawberry matcha.The drink was really good the strawberry added a nice sweetness that balanced. The employees were so sweetI also noticed they have a lot of really interesting desserts on the menu, but most of them require dining in, so I didn't get to try them this time. The presentation of everything looked amazing though so I already know I'll be coming back just to try the desserts properly.
I can't believe I've never reviewed Spot. This is one of my favorite dessert places to go. And if I'm in Flushing you best believe I will be getting something. My absolute favorite is Golden Toast, I say to myself I'm going to try something new and never do because I can't stop getting Golden Toast. I have gotten others but I still go back to Golden Toast. The service is always good. Today I tried the raspberry lemon soda & it was really good.
Flushing has its own rhythm. The horns, the rush of people catching the 7 train, lines forming for late-night snacks like stinky tofu -- it's busy, loud, and full of life. And tucked right into all of that energy is a little dessert haven that feels like a reward at the end of the day: Spot Dessert Bar. This place holds a lot of nostalgia for me. It brings back high school hangs, college nights, and those spontaneous "let's get dessert" moments that somehow turn into full conversations over something sweet. Recently I brought a friend visiting from New York back here, and it felt like revisiting an old favorite. Yes, it can get crowded. The wait can be a bit long, and the space fills up quickly. But honestly, if you've never waited for a table at Spot, you're missing part of the experience -- standing there with the menu, debating which dessert to try, watching the beautiful plates come out one after another. The menu is playful and creative, full of Asian-inspired desserts that feel thoughtful and a little indulgent. We ordered a trio of churros -- matcha, chocolate, and red velvet -- which were crisp, warm, and perfect for sharing. The Spot Dessert Pot is always a must, layered and comforting with just the right amount of sweetness. But my personal favorite remains the golden toast: thick, buttery honey toast topped with whipped cream and strawberries. It's simple, classic, and somehow unforgettable every single time. You can tell these desserts come from a place of creativity. Iron Chef Ian Kittichai's influence is clear -- these are plated desserts that feel both playful and refined. The ambiance is cozy and modern, a small café that feels like a quiet pocket in the middle of busy Flushing. Soft chatter, people sharing desserts, phones coming out for photos -- it's the kind of place that naturally creates memories. Some places are trendy for a moment. Spot is one of those places that stays with you. A little sweet tooth here goes a very long way.
I was really excited to try this new black sesame dessert! I've heard great things about the other desserts but could only try one thing cause I was alone haha. The cheesecake itself had good black sesame flavor and was smooth and dense. I liked the berry "jam" on top cause it made the dessert lighter. The ice cream.....was a weird addition; it was icy and I wish it was vanilla bean flavored and creamier. Overall I want to come back and try the other desserts because they all seem so creative!
Pretty busy on a Saturday! There were also parades going on that day in the area so that may have contributed to it. There was only one person serving and I saw her scrambling everywhere. I've been to other locations of Spot Dessert before and it's your reliable (slightly fancy) dessert sit down place. I love that they have a 2-3 sets you can get with about 3 desserts each and the combination is sold at cheaper price than if you were to buy all 3 individually. I was pretty full from the delicious food that Flushing has to offer so I shared a Harvest dessert. It's a best seller but I never had it before. It's a cute dessert but I just don't think it should be the best seller. It's supposed to a cheesecake filling but it was more on the sour tart side like greek yogurt. The thai tea drizzle made a small difference to the flavors. The guava sorbet was sour as well but I liked that it wiped my palette. They also had some cold foam the same flavor as the sorbet which was cool and artsy. I love Spot dessert but recommend trying other menu items. At the end they gave me a red envelope with a coupon in it (bogo milk tea) in celebration of Lunar New Year.
We stumbled upon spot while on a late night stroll. We were for something sweet and most places were closed or about to close. Spot is quite small, so we were grateful to be seated immediately. The service was great, all of the employees were pleasant. The milky puff is the perfect balance of sweetness, the crunchiness of the cornflakes and rice puffs paired with the creaminess of the ice cream and the softness of the pastry is a match made in heaven! The white chocolate honeycomb is amazing!!! We loved every bit of it!
I love Spot! Everything is always so good. This location is very small and super busy tonight! The servers were kind. I been here many times and have tried all of their main desserts. I saw they had a new ube and blueberry dessert. It was good! I wish it was a bit more ube forward but nice to see some filipino representation. I usually go for the cookie camp, that one is fire. My friend had the matcha lava cake and loved it. That is also one of my favorites. Definitely try this place out if you haven't, there truly is something for everyone!
This particular location is a small space; we were sitting so close to our table neighbors. The service was good and quick to take our order though and refill our waters. My friends and I went for the Fall-Winter '25 seasonal specials. One of them - Chrysanthemum snow - was bad, our group unanimously agreed. It is basically ice ("granita") and cubes of Korean pear, with a ton of mushroom. Most of the dish is mushroom which was not a great texture for a dessert and bc of the granita it became a bowl of water soon after being served. The Sesame bloom and "Ube-rri" was pretty good, but neither would I order again. Stick to the signatures. This season's tapas were a miss.
I've been going to Spot Dessert Bar since they opened with the OG east village location over a decade ago and it's been so awesome to see them expand to new stores and neighborhoods! This will always be my go to for Asian inspired desserts and to catch up with friends over sweets. I always have my go to's like the chocolate matcha lava cake and golden toast but sometimes I like to try something new off their seasonal menu too. Some of the cookies are a little too sweet imo but everything else is pretty solid, I remember even getting their tubs of ice cream delivered during the peak of Covid (god bless). The flushing location is always packed so expect a wait during peak hours. Astoria location is also new and clean! :)
Came here on a Sunday at 6 pm with a party of 3 and it was not crowded. We ordered a matcha lava cake and iced Thai matcha. The lava cake did not have matcha and the filling was chocolate but it came with a scoop of matcha ice cream. The staff was very friendly and I got a takeout container for my matcha latte since I did not finish it. They have a single stall bathroom which was clean. I definitely recommend as their desserts are so unique and the experience was so leisurely.
Food: While I usually look forward to getting dessert from the spot, it was disappointing to me. Idk if my taste buds changed but the cookie camp was WAY too sweet this time. I shared it with one other person and it was hard to finish this time. Usually, I rlly do appreciate the different flavors of chocolate, marshmallow, pretzels, and ice cream but this time the sweetness overpowered all of the complex flavoring I wanted to taste. I also tried the sweet beani, which is from their spring/summer menu this year, but it's not my favorite. At least it wasn't too sweet. And if u rlly like black sesame and red bean, you should get it. For me, I thought the black sesame was too strong. I also was disappointed by how the cake is smaller/less wide than it appears on the menu. service and ambiance: Cute spot and great service! I suggest u go on a weekday to avoid waiting. Suggestions: For the spring/summer menu, I was hoping for more fruity, refreshing options for dessert. In the past, I like how they did shaved ice for one of their dessert tapas.
You know you love Spot when you go twice a day. Love the seasonal menus. 5/5 matcha lava $14.95 - lava cake is my absolute fave cake, love anything matcha as well- as long as it's strong enough but not too strong- doesn't taste like dirt & smell like raw seafood 5/5 Mango Passion Fruit Soda $8- amazing once you mix it, both flavors evident 5/5 Peach Cream Soda $8 - comes w/ peach ice cream, amazing as the above once you mix it, so peachy, so creamy 4/5 matcha lava cookie $5 - wish it was less sweet, but great nonetheless 4/5 Jasmine matcha latte $7- I liked it, but my sister said Jasmine anything has an artificial smell & flavor, matcha can be a bit stronger 3/5 strawberry matcha latte $7- my sister liked it, I thought it was ok, matcha can be a bit stronger 3/5 sweet beani $14.95- "red bean mochi mousse, chiffon cake, injeolmi, strawberries, brown sugar sauce, black sesame ice cream" it was ok, I wouldn't get it again, I liked the black sesame ice cream more than the rest of it- mostly cuz I love black sesame anything
Eh. Over rated. The chocolate chip skillet with ice cream was alright. More cakey than cookie. Service was cold. Had a very strict no substitution policy (due to dairy allergy asked for on menu sorbet instead of ice cream). They made a big stink about not allowing it. Felt that was bizarre. Seats had no backs. Not really comfortable seating, but they did have seating. They clearly want you to eat and go, which is business friendly but not as customer friendly. I would not recommend this to a friend nor return. It was a pitty our experience was lackluster, as I was joining a friend here on their recommendation due to great last memories here. read more
Yesterday I stopped by here after remembering I had it on my to try list, I'm glad I did. I got their "Harvest" dish along with a Oreo Bubble Milk Tea. The Harvest dish were layers of strawberries, cheesecake, chiffon cake, whipped cream topped with oreo crumbs with a side of earl grey milk tea and raspberry sorbet. Really beautiful dish, great presentation and very tasty. Sweet but not too sweet, creamy but not too rich, awesome dish. Part of their sales from this dish also go to City Harvest which helps less fortunate people, so it's a good way to do right while eating good. The Oreo Bubble Milk Tea was also really good, strong tea flavor, not that sweet, bubbles tasted fresh. Overall: Winner, Will be back to again. read more

Dined here for dessert on a Saturday night. It was packed to the brim so my friends and I waited for about 15-20 minutes to get seated. We ordered the matcha lava cake and harvest both which are solid staples on the menu and do not disappoint. We also got the iced lattes which provided decent caffeine to get us through the sweets! read more
I heard about this place from a friend so I had to come and try it. The line was long but it moved fast. This is definitely one of the best desserts I have had in awhile. Everything I tasted was very delicious! I would come back here every week if I could. read more

Located 5 to 7 mins walk away from the Flushing Main subway station, this is a good place to get a dessert which I believe is with an Asian twist. The place though is pretty small, not much crowded on weekdays but not sure how it is during weekends especially since it's hard to get a place at their Manhattan location! The ambience is pretty chill though they can improve a bit on the seating as it felt a bit congested. Service though is pretty quick with the server quickly taking the order and delivering it within 8-10 minutes. I had ordered their signature Golden toast as a friend had recommended to me earlier. It certainly lived up to the hype! They had fried the bread in butter( clarified butter/ghee, I guess) which gave it an amazing taste while it was soft and crispy enough. One scoop of vanilla ice cream and whipping cream was a good combination along with a fresh strawberry slice! Overall, it was satisfying to my sweet craving. Definitely looking to visit the place and trying out more! read more
Matcha lava cake was great, other items were just ok. The matcha lava cake was rich and decadent with only a mild hint of bitterness. A gentle prod from the spoon caused the matcha ganache to spill out of the womb. The matcha ice cream was also quite delish. The harvest was one of the most anticipated instagram item. It resembled a pot of plant & you can water it with a cup of earl Grey milk tea. However the combination of cheesecake, oreo crumbs, berries & rasberry sorbet didn't wow me in terms of flavor. The matcha lava cookie was served warm, but there was not much matcha cream inside. So it was just your avg chocolate cookie. read more
insanely good dessert in a small little sit down restaurant with an option to also take treats to go, such as boba or cookies. the main desserts that we got were the cookie camp and milky puff. the skillet cookie was probably the best I've ever had. it had the perfect balance of sweet and salty because it incorporated pretzels in it! the cookie was baked really well and was still very soft and chewy, and the condensed milk ice cream paired very well with the saltiness aspect of the dish. the milky puff was also insanely good, and the bananas that were inside were the best. the ice cream pairing made it a little too sweet in my opinion, and would have liked the option to switch for a different flavor. the only downside to this place was that they make you download an app to order, but I guess it makes it easy for you to leave once you finish. big plus: restroom was huge and clean! read more
Spot Dessert Bar offers all the bang for your buck. It's maybe a five minute walk from the 7 train, and has a ton of buzz around it. We visited after a long dinner at Alley 41! If you're hungry, you can get by ordering one dish for yourself but I think they come best in sharing sizes (with a bubble tea, of course). Try to make a reservation before hand if you go on a weekend, but we got in pretty quickly (party of 6). They also offer indoor and outdoor seating. The actual tapioca for the boba was a little too sweet for my liking, but I didn't take much offense to it because I could tell they were warm and fresh. I've never had a business do me wrong with a thai tea, so that tasted great. My friend got their taro boba and also had no complaints. Where they definitely shined was in the desserts! My party ordered the Harvest, Milky Puff, and Cookie Camp. If you're a cheesecake girly, you'll like the harvest. It has raw strawberry slices inside, making it a refreshing snack for spring. Not my cup of tea, but my dad really enjoyed it. It also comes with earl tea to pour over, making it a pretty fun experience. The cookie camp is fairly standard, but tbh there's nothing wrong with that. I love a warm cookie skillet with ice cream. Very classic. The milky puff was incredible. It had a heaping of condensed milk ice cream, puff pastry with a gorgeous, light cream inside, and some bruleed bananas. There were so many elements, it felt like an expensive experience. I shared this with my partner, which was definitely the best decision for me. I wouldn't be able to eat all of it on my own! read more

Food/Drinks: When I say the food was delicious, I mean the food was delicious! We started with the Golden Toast ($14.45), which was just decalate. The crust of the toast was nice and crisp, and the insides were fluffy. We couldn't explain it, but it reminded us of something we had in our childhood. The toast with the ice cream had a nice balance of savory from the crust and sweet from the ice cream. We then also ordered the Harvest ($14.45), Pasteis De Nata ($7.00), and a Nutella Cookie ($4.45). The Harvest has amazing layers of texture, and the Earl Grey Milk Tea poured on top enhanced the flavors. I loved discovering the different layers of cheesecake, chiffon cake, and strawberries. The sorbet also reminded us of ring pops. The pasteis de nata has a nice rich flavor, and the cookie was chocolatey to the max. Overall, great food, and would come again! Service: The staff immediately greets you upon entering and makes sure to greet you as you leave. They used an app ordering system which was efficient and would be best for introverts. Plus, the app has reduced pricing, so take advantage of that. read more

Still delish. I tried the golden toast this time and wow. The bread was crunchy and buttery. Perfect amount of savory and sweet with the ice cream. This place never fails to hit the spot. I guess that's why they called it that! The only thing was that our waitress told us to pay through an app to get a discount, but it took so long to sign up and register (I was having some technical issues too) that it wasn't even worth it. The discount ended up being like 20 cents and the app required us to pay 18% tip or higher. It forced us to. I'm fine with that, but why require it? Anyways, I'll still go back here when I'm craving something sweet! read more

Food alone would be 5 stars - the HK toast is the best I've ever had! Right amount of sweetness, and the perfect crispy surface with fluffy cake inside. Matcha lava cake was also delicious, and the potted plant cake was less impressive taste-wise but a creative interpretation. The place was buzzy and bright with all tables filled when we went on a Friday night, but it was only a short wait to be seated. The -1 star is because they require a MINIMUM 18% tip, paid upfront before you get any food or service. The staff was gruff and indifferent, probably because there's no expectation required to earn it. read more
Always wanted to try this place and glad it happened! Got the matcha lava bc I love green tea anything, the brownie was perfectly warm and soft with delicious matcha and fudge fillings, I got the harvest bc I thought the pot was edible probably should've asked first lol but even without the pot the combination of Oreo crumbs with fruits and chiffon cake was light and tasty and the milk tea added more flavor it was a mess to eat but delicious. Service was great they were organized and expedient desserts came fast and you didn't feel rushed even though there were lot of ppl waiting, was at the Flushing location and they had plenty of space with inviting and warm atmosphere read more
Yum! Open late, great spot for date or treat yourself night with Asian fusion inspired desserts. There are about 6 small tables inside and several small pods enclosed pods outside as well. This place is good for 2-4 people, not good for groups. Service is fast and efficient once you're seated, cards accepted. Looks like takeout is also available. Food: we had the matcha chocolate lava cake and felt it was well prepared and the pairing of flavors well done. read more

The desserts at this place are delicious and unique. The service is always great. The only downfall is it's so tiny inside there's barely any room to even put your purse down and it's always packed but what can we do! Better off ordering to go. read more

really cool menu items and friendly staff and awesome vibe. only problems would be the extended wait times, whether you order an hour in advance for pickup or reserve etc you'll still be waiting at least an hour on a good day, i personally don't want to be annoying or bother workers but if you don't remind the workers every few minutes then you'll be forgotten bc of the rush read more

Cute and unique desserts! I was craving something sweet after dinner and stopped by around 10pm on a Saturday and was sat pretty quickly for a party of 4. I ordered The Harvest. Aesthetically, it's almost too cute to eat. You even get to "water" the plant with milk. Taste-wise I enjoyed! It's not the most amazing dessert I've ever had, but it was tasty and hit the spot. Others ordered ice-cream and cookies and really enjoyed. They were sold out of several ice cream flavors, so something to keep in mind if you go later. Servers were super friendly. All in all, if you're craving something sweet I would stop by. read more
Needed a quick dessert to go after a savory meal nearby. Stopped in and grabbed some cookies: Oreo cookie chocolate chip and a salted caramel miso. Both were fantastic, but the caramel miso was a combination I hadn't had before. Let's start with I hate salted caramel. Hate it. It's so often over salted that it's just nasty. Miso, on the other hand, I love. Soup, paste, marinade... love it! The slightly salty and very umami miso complimented the caramel so well that the best compliment I can give this cookie is that it's balanced. Crispy outside, gooey inside, and a sweet, tangy, umami treat. Hit the spot! read more

The food here was really good and enjoyable! I took my oldest daughter for a birthday treat and she enjoyed the Matcha Lava. Sooo delish! It's different. Service wasn't bad when we went beginning of March 2023 and the ambiance was nice in the evening on a Sunday. But if you love bubble tea and exotic-like dessert then this is the spot for sure! I'm glad I live close by! Will definitely come by again! read more

Hands down my fave dessert spot in nyc. It has the best variety of desserts and vibe. I always bring my family and friends whenever they visit. The crowd fave is usually the golden toast and my personal fave is the matcha lava. Everything else is still good tho - love how they keep the good stuff and have new seasonal items every year! read more

Partner and I stopped by here for some dessert Saturday night. It's been a couple years since our last visit and we were happy to see that it's still in business. There are about 5-6 outside tables in a row that are nicely partitioned and covered if you're hesitant about eating inside. She had the Matcha Lava, which was comprised of a warm dark chocolate cake filled with matcha ganache accompanied by matcha green tea ice cream with some crispy crumbs. I was able to try some of it and the warm-cold combo concept is nicely done. The cake was very sweet and the matcha tea ice cream provided a nice contrast. I had the Chocolate Hazelnut Sundae, which was delicious! The chocolate hazelnut soft serve was not too sweet and it was layered with chiffon cake, nutella sauce, oreo crumbs and cocoa krispies, which all blended well. We topped off our desserts with some chamomile and earl grey teas, which warmed us up before heading back outside. Overall, this is a nice place for dessert, bubble tea, coffee and hot teas! read more

I had high hopes for this place, as I've been wanting to try it for a while. I came with a friend on a weekend during the day and it was slow when we came in, but got much busier as we were there. They were obviously short staffed for waiters/waitresses but there were plenty of workers behind the counter that didn't help out. This was to the point where our food was sitting ready on the counter for ~10 minutes, we considered just taking it ourselves. As it got busier, our waitress got overwhelmed and had to take a break so no one got service for 15-20 minutes. Not holding anything against her though, more reflective of the employee relationship as a whole. As for the actual food, it's definitely more on looks than taste. My golden toast way too hard, when I expected more of a light crisp. Was on the sweeter side and the durian tart was pretty good, but nothing mind blowing. I think there are better dessert places out there for around the same price point. We also ended up paying in cash because we didn't want to wait any longer for service. I really like eating sweets. Often after work I often come to eat here with my hyung. But I feel the change of sweets Toast has noticeably reduced the amount of butter spread and the price has increased. The size has also been reduced. Every time I come to eat, I want to taste desserts that are not just crusty bread. But luckily my hot drink was still delicious. My service is very thirsty. Even though my sweets were placed at the table, but the waiter did not bring drinking water. It turned out that we had to call for drinking water. And finally, the tip to eat in the shop, I was okay for the staff. But on the other hand, I ordered to go home. But asked if the tip included? The answer is yes. One of my daughter's wanted to come to this dessert place so we came to give it a try. Customer Service: The staff was friendly and was helpful with the menu items. Cleanliness: The store was clean and did not have garbage or a smell to it. Green Apple Strawberry Tea: This was actually pretty tasty and wish I had gotten one to go as well. Mango Tango: My brother loved this dessert and the taste of mango and coconut ice cream. The Harvest: My 2nd oldest daughter loved this dessert and would definitely get it again. She had fun watering the plant before eating it. Golden Toast: This was actually better than I had expected. The condensed milk ice cream was unique. Matcha Lava: My youngest daughter and oldest loved this dark chocolate cake filled with matcha ganache. The matcha green tea ice cream was delicious to them. Overall: We would definitely come back here to try out the other menu items. Trying this the first time with was a wonderful experience and the customer service just sends it to the top. read more
Very instagram worthy. My favorites which I always get the matcha lava cake, the harvest( think a light strawberry cheesecake) and the French toast. Definitely will get a delicious sugar rush. The service is always quick and nice. They have multiple locations- st marks plaza and flushing. Pretty standardized desserts. The Queens locations do have some location specific desserts like ice teams. Can't go wrong with any location especially if you have a sweet tooth. read more
We dined in and had a party of 6 that had to split into two tables. I got the Nutella Sundae and it was huge! It was delectable but only complaint was that the spoon was too short to get to the bottom of the sundae. The yuzu is very tart! So if you don't like tart, this is not the dessert for you! It was very good and lovely presentation. Not pictured was the chocolate forest. The inside had a chocolate filling, the mousse was extremely rich and well balanced against the pistachio ice cream. The pistachio taste was not over powering and gave the dessert an awesome decorative presentation! Overall, pricey but expected to level of artistic display. They are crazy busy so we thought the service wasn't great. Can't wait to come back to try more! read more

We decided to grab some dessert after dinner right around the corner, and especially since we had heard of the cute sweet treats that you could get from here! - PARKING - We just walked from our dinner/hotel which was around the corner, but I'd imagine most people take public transit and walk over. - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - Quite a small place - they have a few indoor tables that seat max up to 2-4, as well as some outdoor tables that can fit the same. Would not recommend coming with more than 4. Service was great in the beginning before more people came; afterwards it was hard to flag down someone. - FOOD - The Harvest ($12.45): Cute, aesthetically pleasing dessert that is interactive - what I mean is that they pour, or rather "water" the potted plant with Earl Grey Milk Tea. The potted plant has Cheesecake and Oreo Crumbs, and on the side of the plate there is a Raspberry Sorbet. Really nice contrast in one single dessert. Milky Puff ($12.45): Another very aesthetically pleasing dessert - although I think all of them probably are! This had an amazing combination of textures and flavors as well, from the flaky puff pastry, to the sweet bruleed bananas, and the crunchy corn flakes... super delicious! - OVERALL - A great place for some dessert with a small group of friends. They do have specials depending on the size of your group, so look out for the placards on the tables! read more
Clean and well run. Great place to stretch out and rest after dining or shopping in the area. Went for coffee and dessert. There's one person managing food in the kitchen and then one other person taking care of takeout, hosting and serving. Props to that solo all star staffer. Indoor seating is decently well spaced, with dividers between tables. Bathroom is pleasantly spacious and clean. Matcha lava cookie was surprisingly good, rich and especially satisfying when warm, golden toast is as good as I remembered. Americano is passable. read more
Small dessert place in the bustling streets of Flushing. Great service, friendly staff. Comfortable seating for small groups. Pretty tight for groups bigger than 3 or 4. Matcha lava cake is my favorite. The fudge inside is delicious. The matcha ice cream that it comes with is not too sweet and complements the super sweet chocolate cake very well. RECOMMEND Single scoop taro ice cream was for my kid. He loved it! Of course now his sweater is stained purple... but worth it! read more

It took serious willpower not to order fourth and fifth desserts! Dessert one: the Chocolate Forest. This is a perfect cube of chocolate mousse cake, covered in a pistachio and apricot crumb and hiding a surprise chocolate filling. It was silky smooth, not too sweet, and came with pistachio ice cream. I'm not usually keen on pistachio ice cream (the typical neon coloring is deeply off-putting to me), but this one was a winner. It was buttery and rich, and set off the sweetness of the mousse beautifully. It highlighted the subtle fruitiness of the crumb coating, particularly in bites of both the cake and ice cream together. Dessert two: the Cookie Camp. OH MY GOD. This is pure cookie-s'mores delight. It's a hot, gooey marshmallow cookie with pretzels and cookie crumbs, served with condensed milk ice cream and topped with hot chocolate sauce when it's delivered to your table. The cookie has an almost caramel flavor which is perfectly accented by the salty pretzels scattered throughout. Getting a bite with cookie, ice cream, and chocolate was a moment of salty-sweet decadent perfection. The milk-and-cookies vibe of this dessert is elevated and executed for those with a serious sweet tooth, and I can't recommend it enough! Dessert three: the Matcha Lava. This one was everyone's favorite -- and that's no small feat, considering how much we loved the Chocolate Forest and Cookie Camp! The Matcha Lava is a piping-hot dark chocolate cake filled with matcha ganache and served with matcha green tea ice cream. Hell. Yes. Everything about it was dreamy, chocolatey, rich, and indulgent. The dark chocolate is bold but not as sweet as one might expect, which I loved. Its strength held its own against the earthiness of the matcha, and created a flavorful treat like nothing else I've ever had. If you're only going to get one dessert at Spot, make it this one. Always a solid dessert spot! My boyfriend and I have been coming for years, and we still stop by every once in a while when we're craving their Golden Toast. I always refuse to share, so we end up ordering 1 each. Let me have my dessert! No splitsies. Golden toast is one of my all time favorites. The warm, crispy, honey buttered toast is delicious by itself, but the condensed milk ice cream and strawberries complement it perfectly. Stopped by again the other night with a friend after we had dinner at 1392. Our throats were sore from yelling over the music at dinner, so we decided to grab a drink. The honey yuzu iced tea was exactly what we needed - refreshing, soothing, and not too sweet! The desserts here are around $13 each, so it's not something we get too often. Had to come to Flushing to try out the Strawberry Shortcake Sundae that is only available at this Spot location. It's so good omg - layers of shortcake, strawberry, whipped cream and corn flakes (gives it that perfect crunch) and then topped with ice cream and a candy straw. I was in heaven! Walked in with friends on a Monday night and it was still quite busy. The location is very narrow so I wouldn't recommend coming with a large group. Many people were wearing their jackets since the space is small and the door is constantly opening and it was cold outside. The desserts are always good and pretty consistent every time. Their holiday desserts like their dragon eye are very good. I was surprised they had alcoholic drinks but it's a nice though. If I were craving desserts it would probably be on my list again. read more
Initially stopped by to use their restroom and needed to order more than just a drink. Spot always delivers it's desserts, havent had a golden toast at any spot that wasn't delicious. Golden Toast came out fluffy and warm per usual, this is my go-to spot dessert. While the potted plant looks cute and chic, it can't match the deliciousness of the golden toast. The Yuzu honey tea was amazing. Would heavily recommend, it was in the 90s that day and I wanted something refreshing but not too sweet. Only reason it gets a 4 is the matcha latte had way too much milk. I notice a lot of others saying the same thing as well, it just tastes like milk with a hint of matcha, hopefully they fix that. Bathroom was phenomenally clean if that matters to anyone. read more
