This location is always busy, prepare to wait if you come here during the weekends or during dinner. However, it is worth the wait. The desserts are always amazing, and innovative. Definitely try the seasonal dishes since they will disappear in a few months. The space is fairly small, but cozy and perfect for a dessert bar.

Seasonal Summer Items!

I love the whole vibe of The Spot Dessert Bar! They have unique and versatile options for desserts and bubble teas to choose from; they have various fall/spring/summer seasonal items which is always a treat! I highly recommend The Spot for its service, food, and general atmosphere!

Matcha miso, chocolate oreo, blueberry yogurt

We came here late (5 minutes before closing) so unfortunately we were limited on items to order. The blueberry cookie 6/5 Nice chewy texture (for all the cookies) but flavor was the bestt in terms of nutty (taro or ube) and fresh bluberries such a great combination! Matcha cookies Nice chocolate flavor. Didnt taste the match but a good low sweet chocolate cookie 6/10 Oreo chocolocate cookie 7/10 If you like texture and chocolate this one is for you. Definitely give the other specialty deserts a try as we couldn't order them, they look so good and is worth the hype and value/price!

I can't believe I've never reviewed Spot. This is one of my favorite dessert places to go. And if I'm in Flushing you best believe I will be getting something. My absolute favorite is Golden Toast, I say to myself I'm going to try something new and never do because I can't stop getting Golden Toast. I have gotten others but I still go back to Golden Toast. The service is always good. Today I tried the raspberry lemon soda & it was really good.

I've been living in Flushing forever but have only been to Spot dessert bar once. The one time I was here with my friends, we got the potted plant dessert. This rating is solely based on this dessert. I was so pleased with the presentation, 10/10. It was such a unique concept to make the dessert look like a plant and allow us to "water it" with a milk tea drip. This was so yummy. I thought the flavors worked so well together and loved the texture of the Oreo crumble on top of the pot. Additionally, the fruity sorbet in the corner was so sweet and refreshing. I remembered service being really fast and the ambiance was so warm and welcoming.

Been to other locations but first time in flushing location. My usual matcha lava and miso cookie were fantastic as ever. Had the golden toast dessert which I recommend for two. There's a variety of drinks and ever changing dessert options. Seats are limited so be mindful of dining time. Water closet is next to water station.

Flushing has its own rhythm. The horns, the rush of people catching the 7 train, lines forming for late-night snacks like stinky tofu -- it's busy, loud, and full of life. And tucked right into all of that energy is a little dessert haven that feels like a reward at the end of the day: Spot Dessert Bar. This place holds a lot of nostalgia for me. It brings back high school hangs, college nights, and those spontaneous "let's get dessert" moments that somehow turn into full conversations over something sweet. Recently I brought a friend visiting from New York back here, and it felt like revisiting an old favorite. Yes, it can get crowded. The wait can be a bit long, and the space fills up quickly. But honestly, if you've never waited for a table at Spot, you're missing part of the experience -- standing there with the menu, debating which dessert to try, watching the beautiful plates come out one after another. The menu is playful and creative, full of Asian-inspired desserts that feel thoughtful and a little indulgent. We ordered a trio of churros -- matcha, chocolate, and red velvet -- which were crisp, warm, and perfect for sharing. The Spot Dessert Pot is always a must, layered and comforting with just the right amount of sweetness. But my personal favorite remains the golden toast: thick, buttery honey toast topped with whipped cream and strawberries. It's simple, classic, and somehow unforgettable every single time. You can tell these desserts come from a place of creativity. Iron Chef Ian Kittichai's influence is clear -- these are plated desserts that feel both playful and refined. The ambiance is cozy and modern, a small café that feels like a quiet pocket in the middle of busy Flushing. Soft chatter, people sharing desserts, phones coming out for photos -- it's the kind of place that naturally creates memories. Some places are trendy for a moment. Spot is one of those places that stays with you. A little sweet tooth here goes a very long way.

Black Sesame Basque Cheesecake

I was really excited to try this new black sesame dessert! I've heard great things about the other desserts but could only try one thing cause I was alone haha. The cheesecake itself had good black sesame flavor and was smooth and dense. I liked the berry "jam" on top cause it made the dessert lighter. The ice cream.....was a weird addition; it was icy and I wish it was vanilla bean flavored and creamier. Overall I want to come back and try the other desserts because they all seem so creative!

Pretty busy on a Saturday! There were also parades going on that day in the area so that may have contributed to it. There was only one person serving and I saw her scrambling everywhere. I've been to other locations of Spot Dessert before and it's your reliable (slightly fancy) dessert sit down place. I love that they have a 2-3 sets you can get with about 3 desserts each and the combination is sold at cheaper price than if you were to buy all 3 individually. I was pretty full from the delicious food that Flushing has to offer so I shared a Harvest dessert. It's a best seller but I never had it before. It's a cute dessert but I just don't think it should be the best seller. It's supposed to a cheesecake filling but it was more on the sour tart side like greek yogurt. The thai tea drizzle made a small difference to the flavors. The guava sorbet was sour as well but I liked that it wiped my palette. They also had some cold foam the same flavor as the sorbet which was cool and artsy. I love Spot dessert but recommend trying other menu items. At the end they gave me a red envelope with a coupon in it (bogo milk tea) in celebration of Lunar New Year.

Found Spot Dessert Bar in Flushing while I was out and I was craving a matcha, so I decided to try their strawberry matcha. The drink was really good the strawberry added a nice sweetness that balanced. The employees were so sweetI also noticed they have a lot of really interesting desserts on the menu, but most of them require dining in, so I didn't get to try them this time. The presentation of everything looked amazing though so I already know I'll be coming back just to try the desserts properly.

We stumbled upon spot while on a late night stroll. We were for something sweet and most places were closed or about to close. Spot is quite small, so we were grateful to be seated immediately. The service was great, all of the employees were pleasant. The milky puff is the perfect balance of sweetness, the crunchiness of the cornflakes and rice puffs paired with the creaminess of the ice cream and the softness of the pastry is a match made in heaven! The white chocolate honeycomb is amazing!!! We loved every bit of it!

This particular location is a small space; we were sitting so close to our table neighbors. The service was good and quick to take our order though and refill our waters. My friends and I went for the Fall-Winter '25 seasonal specials. One of them - Chrysanthemum snow - was bad, our group unanimously agreed. It is basically ice ("granita") and cubes of Korean pear, with a ton of mushroom. Most of the dish is mushroom which was not a great texture for a dessert and bc of the granita it became a bowl of water soon after being served. The Sesame bloom and "Ube-rri" was pretty good, but neither would I order again. Stick to the signatures. This season's tapas were a miss.

I had not been to Spot in years and was a bit shocked by the lack of restaurant etiquette during our recent visit. One group was waiting to be seated at the larger table, which was being cleaned to accommodate them. After that group was seated we seated ourselves, since all the other tables were empty. Service was slow. (There was one server and one person behind the counter.) During the entire time we were there the dirty table next to ours was never cleaned. After the large group left, their table was not cleaned either (even though there was only one other group besides us). We ordered a few desserts and drinks. They were good with the exception of the watermelon ice cube dessert shaped like an apple. It was very pretty/cute, but not edible since it was completely frozen. After chipping away at it for a long time it started to melt a bit, but it was flavorless and not worth the effort.

I got the ($14) Pandan jelly with Mango & Durian (sago pearls & coconut milk). I ordered it to go thinking the dish would be too big to finish, but it's actually very light and refreshing, and not heavy at all. There were diners there sharing one large shaved ice and I assumed most of the dessert soups would be just as big. But usually Chinese desserts are not overly rich or heavy. The staff said that they could switch out the Durian for extra mango, but they were nice enough to pack a little bit of Durian on the side for me to dry - and no! The whole dessert doesn't smell like durian. Everything was packed extremely well - the liquid was in its own little dispensing pouch. Very nice attention to detail. Pandan is an herby vanilla flavor from Southeast Asian. I think The noodles were made out of rice flour? It was like a soft creamy pudding thick noodle. You can easily scoop into them alongside the mango, coconut milk, sago pearls. Every part of the dessert was very fresh and not too sweet! Had to control the late night snack, and save the rest for the next day. Don't think this kept well, there was a lot of liquid that seeped out of the tapioca pearls or noodles (delicious pandan flavor still!)? But it still wasn't too stiff the next day. Excited to try as other items like the ginger, milk, pudding, but I think I made an excellent choice with this dish, and the price point seemed high at first, but each ingredient to be made fresh on the same day. I'll be back! Curious about the hot café foods too.

Flavor profiles were hitting in all directions I didn't know which one to pick as my favorite! Durian mango coconut pudding - Durian wasn't overpowering at all and the mango shined in this dessert. The mango was nice and sweet, yet tart, soft and not at all unripe. The durian bits were creamy and custard-y, while the coconut pudding served as the perfect base for the dessert. Light and smooth Taro with mochi dessert- This was a taro sweet soup and had the consistency as black sesame soup. The taro was potent and the aroma was very prominent. The mochi was nice and soft, yet chewy. I was not expecting to like this one as much as I did. Ginger pudding - Utterly delicious. The ginger flavor and taste was insanely strong and the pudding was jiggly soft. Not too sweet and almost tasted spicy in a sense from the ginger. Super solid pudding. I'd come back just to get this again honestly.

The ice cream was rich, creamy/heavy, and coupled well with the boba. The boba was nested below the large scoops of ice cream so a little hard to get to. The menu is extensive, and every dessert looks stunning. I'll definitely need multiple visits to try everything. The ancient Chinese decor and dining booth had such a vibe, and you can even borrow hanfu (漢服) for photos. The names of their pastries are also very poetic. TLDR: The traditional dessert soups are must-haves, and the mochi definitely outshines the pastries. *Osmanthus Sweet Fermented Rice Milk Mochi 桂花酒釀水麻薯 $6.99 *** My favorite out of everything! The floral osmanthus notes paired beautifully with the sweet fermented rice wine, and the milk mochi was perfectly soft and stretchy. It's also the best-value dessert on the menu imo. *Pear Sweet Soup with Snow Fungus 冰糖銀耳桃膠雪燕烤梨 $12.99 ** This felt like a warm hug in the winter. Served hot in a traditional ceramic pot, it was nourishing with poached pear, snow fungus, peach gum, and goji berries. My mom gave her stamp of approval on this. *Mochi Combo 軟酪合集 $20.99 * I was a little sad they ran out of the persimmon mochi...it looked so cute...But the jasmine guava mochi and yuzu matcha mochi were both delicious and super soft. I swapped the third mochi for a matcha pastry (玉妃 抹茶奶黄), which was just okay. *Mousse Dessert Combo 珍寶格 慕斯合集 $36.99 These desserts were beautifully crafted, almost too pretty to eat.
