Came here as part of the NBA All Star Weekend. Got lucky to spend Saturday and Sunday Night here to watch the All Star events with my girlfriend. The customer service was amazing. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The whole space is amazing. The tv's are great. The atmosphere is electric. Top notch. Over for the weekend we ordered a smash burger with garlic fries, margherita pizza, fish and chips, and thrive city nachos. With one brownie for dessert. Overall the smash burger and regular fries were great. Very juicy and full of flavor. The regular fries are great. The garlic fries were a let down. Did not really taste the difference between them and regular fries. I was hoping for more. The margherita pizza was also very good. The crust was perfect and the toppings were very fresh. Good size. The fish and chips were great. The serving size was smaller than I expected. Left me wanting more. But all full of flavor. Overall my favorite meal at Splash so far. The Thrive City Nachos was above average. Great portion size. The chicken and quac in our was very few and far between, which was a negative. The brownie was also above average. The vanilla gelato topping was top notch. I really loved that. However the brownie itself seemed a little dry and flat. Just not much flavor or moistness to it. Ambience is amazing and service for how crowded it was for the first dubs game of the season was incredible! Love the big TVS Flavors of the food was not right - the Korean wings were salty and the coconut prawn sushi was too sweet. The ambiance is upscale casual The drinks were good! We didn't try any food as we only came in for a drink but what other people were eating looked tasty! As far as service goes, I wish they had more servers coming around checking in on you or your order for drinks only. Really cool spot! It definitely gets packed for game day so come early or get a reservation. I really like that they have so many different sections to sit and tvs. What knocked down all the points for me was the chaotic service and horrrrrrible food. The servers kept coming out screaming the order they had and didn't know who ordered what. I had just sat down and they asked me if I ordered popcorn chicken even though I was waiting for the used plates and cups to be taken away and cleaned. We had to keep an eye and ear out every time they walked over with an order. The food was not good! The chips that came with the queso were mostly broken and there was one random piece of chicken and one black bean in there. We asked if they could do flavors for wings and they said with an additional charge they will give us the second sauce on the side. The waitress didn't ask which flavored we preferred to be tossed. But if you're going to coat all my wings in one sauce and give me another on the side, I don't want my wings with two sauces at the same time...the mango habanero had no hint of that flavor at all. It was not good. The calamari was probably the worst! Completely over fried. All you could taste was oily batter. There were also random pieces of fried lemon slices and peppers...so, not much calamari at all. The cocktail sauce was so chunky and didn't pair well with the calamari. I couldn't finish the food. As for beer selection you would think they would have a lot more variety. I would definitely come back if I wanted to watch a game (and had a reservation) because there's a a lot of space and tvs but I don't know if I'd order any food. read more

Came here Monday night to check out this overhyped bar by the Chase Center stadium. It was crowded but was able to get a table by the 3 large screen TVs. I took my girlfriend here for starters: cocktails and one appetizer. Cocktails could be a bit better. We both ordered the splash and Paloma. Both were eh okay. Paloma had a skin garnish of grapefruit, tasted straight mezcal and soda. The splash was not that good to be honest. I had to squeeze the lime to balance the taste out but did not work. My girl didn't like the Paloma so our server changed it to a tequila pineapple. It's not our servers fault, I blame the barista for this. You gotta be joking, a tequila pineapple was given a shot of tequila and a shot of pineapple. What the fuck is your baristas doing? Yeah Ive been to better sports bars and that was an awful take. I don't even want to order other food on the menu. The fried calamari tasted rubbish, too much on the breaded side and tasted like old squid in my opinion. I had better cocktails and better food elsewhere. I think this bar is too overhyped and not worth the money to spend. I prefer YardHouse. I have been to a few Warriors games, but never realized this place was there. It could be because I am not a Warriors fan, so I didn't really pay attention. I go to support the festivities that occur in the Thrive City area. We checked in for our reservation (recommended). The check in female seemed disinterested in working. No greeting, and no smile. We were seated downstairs in the main bar area with the huge projection screen type tv that covered the whole side of the wall. We were greeted by the waitress almost immediately. We were only planning to eat, check the place out, and leave within two hours. Not knowing a big UFC fight was going to be airing on the projection screen soon. We ordered our food. Not much to choose from, but a good selection of bar food (pizza, burgers, nachos, chicken wings, etc.). The wings and garlic fries were good. Especially the garlic fries, because we could actually taste the garlic flavor. The best part is that the garlic was evenly spread throughout the basket of fries. Once the UFC fight started, it began to get crowded. Standing room only. We got sucked into it. Couldn't take our eyes of the multiple fights. People were cheering, clapping, and really feeling it. Awesome! we ended up staying to watch all matches. By that time it was almost time to close. Two hours easily turned in to five hours. We weren't able to check out the second floor where the pool table, virtual golf, and foosball table was. Nor the outdoor patio, since some one reserved the floor for a private party. Not bad. I didn't see any kids, nor families. I don't recommend you take anyone under the age of 18yrs old. This place is more of an adult escape type setting, which was great. read more

This place is super spacious with lots of seating and bar areas. Even with my invisible Yelp Elite badge, you need to check in at the counter before being seated (unless drinking at the bar). We were told nicely that the seating was reserved. We headed upstairs and my oh my what a nice view of Chase. There were lots of seating and heated lamps. My badge failed me again as we were told nicely that a certain section was reserved. Not to fret, the seating indoors at the bar was just as comfy. This is a cool place for groups, dates, or coworkers. Only gripe is its expensive AF which makes me less likely to drink here. read more

Splash is a goldmine! First time here, came before a Valkyries game. We were amazed how massive this facility is and how many TVs they had for watching games. The bars were awesome and extremely cool. The interior was spotless and the bathrooms were just as clean! Food was amazing, had salads, pizzas, smash burger and hazy IPAs. Really good prices. The staff were incredibly friendly! We couldn't stop commenting about how nice everyone was. Room for improvement, but lots of potential here! I dined at Splash for a friend's birthday. The hosts made reservations for our group ahead of time so we were able to skip the line at the front and go straight in. They had 3 tables reserved for our group on the upstairs outdoor deck. The tables were separated, but in the same area, but we did find it strange that they removed the "reserved" signs from the tables that weren't immediately used. We had to deal with telling a lot of people "sorry those are reserved for us" until the rest of our group got here to occupy them. It also was strange that our tables were so separated from each other.. especially when we wanted to celebrate all together. We ended up just moving the tables together once others got here, but I didn't understand why that wasn't the set up from the start. Sitting on the deck was really nice. We didn't get the big TVs that you get inside. But if you prefer a quieter outing where you'll be able talk with friends and it's less crowded, the deck is the way to go. It was also fun to people-watch the main courtyard from the balcony and the heat lamps out there are strongggg. We were taking our jackets off (at night? in SF?! yes.). The place is huge but it gets PACKED. Inside, there were a couple of big parties / reservations. They took up most of the upstairs space and a good chunk of downtstairs. The games that are advertised (pool table, basketball hoops game, etc) are great but there was no chance we were getting a turn on those. The basketball hoops game was in someone's party so we didn't want to crash. It was also a little crowded to navigate going through the inside - like you're a club or something. The food is good. Pretty much what you'd expect in terms of sports bar / game day food. Prices are also what you'd expect - think ~$20 for a meal. I went with their smash burger and it was filling, though nothing extremely special. They have a lot of sauce options which I appreciated for my fries. Service was slow. I give it to them that it was a busy night, it was a home game day after all. I also give them the benefit of the doubt since they just opened a month ago or so. But we dealt with a lot of issues of having to remind the staff that we ordered something. I had to ask for a soda 2 or 3 times before getting it. We also had orders that were wrong more than once (my friend asked for a brut champagne and got a rose, another friend asked for tableside queso as advertised on the menu and never got it with her nachos). It was just messy. Luckily our group is very patient and we weren't in any rush, but if we were, this would've been very annoying. I'll chalk a lot of these things up to growing pains, so I'll probably come back. But they've got some work to do. read more

He was so welcoming and took the time to understand my frustration it felt like I've known him for years even though it was our first time meeting. I really liked this place! I came shortly after the official opening, on a Tuesday at lunch time before All Star Weekend. It was fairly busy, but I was able to get seated right away. I sat in the front bar area right off the entrance, near the golf simulator and pop-a-shot. There were plenty of screens everywhere playing soccer, and a foosball table behind me. As for the food, I ordered their Farro Salad and Splash drink; both came out promptly. The salad was very good, as was the drink. The drink though came with more ice than I cared for, aka less drink, and it was several dollars more than the price listed on their online menu (since taken down). Service was "stiff" initially, but was better by the end of my meal. My server offered me drink suggestions and even checked with her manager to see if it would be okay if I looked around upstairs (that area was roped off). I got the okay and toured the upstairs area before I left. The whole place up and down was clean and nice-looking, and with all the screens, would be a great place to catch a game. The downstairs unisex bathroom needed some cleaning and restocking, though. All in all, I had a solid first experience at Splash and would be interested in coming again to catch a game. read more

What a great place to hang out if you can't afford a ticket to the game! At least, this is what I did. After an afternoon Giants game, I walked about 10 minutes to the Chase plaza and found this gem of a place. Ended up at the bar solo while waiting to see if tickets would go down in price. Alas it didn't. Oh well. No worries, I ended up hanging out with a few Warrior fans at the bar and talked sports for 3 hours. Way longer than my original hall pass had allowed. Luckily got an extension. Drinks were slightly higher than normal, but not obnoxious. Totally expected though. I ordered a Maker's Mark based drink (totally forgot the name), but it was actually pretty good. It was a twist on an old fashioned. Like a new fashioned. Ambiance was excellent, especially as the 7pm game time drew closer. Although, I couldn't help but notice a good part of the crowd seemed to be the "well heeled" white collar type. Not your blue collar sports fanatic type. So interpret that as you may. Ordered a smash burger when I got hungry. Pretty decent burger, not memorable, but definitely delicious and hit the spot. Wall TVs were awesome, although if you're sitting at the bar, you can't really enjoy them as they are right on top of you. There's a second floor that I wasn't able to get to. Splash is equipped with tons of TVs, plus games like golfing and basketball, making it a fun spot whether you're there for food, drinks, or just the energy. Honestly, their basketball game area fell way short; like it was so dinky considering it's a sports bar at the epic Warriors stadium. Whoever designed it really fell short here because it was disappointing. I personally loved the food. I had the Splash Burger, and it was perfect--the bun had just the right texture, the patty was juicy, and the caramelized onions tied everything together. The garlic fries were good, not too garlicky like at the Giants stadium. For dessert, we had the brownie ice cream, which was supposed to be warm but came out cold--twice. Definitely something they need to iron out in the kitchen. As for drinks, I tried the Splash Cocktail (without sparkling wine)--it was decent but too sweet for me, and at $18, not really worth it. I ended up switching to my usual Vodka Sprite, and they made it well. Despite the crazy crowds, the service was amazing, and overall, I had an incredible time. Came for lunch with a coworker and wanted to check this place out. Im sure it gets packed on game days but at lunchtime, it was pretty empty. Received friendly greetings at as walked in and were seated in the bar area. Server gave us a paper menu with a very limited lunch selection. He explained that the game day menus are missing 6-7 items as the kitchen has to get ready for the evening Warrior games. There's really only two burgers, a couple pizzas and salads, and bar food type items. I did get fish and chips which was the only real entree. No sandwiches or anything. Food came out quickly. We came on a Warriors game night and the vibes were so fun! My understanding is that we had to put a deposit down for reservations (I'm assuming because of the game). The hostess was a delight, we asked her if we can change seats to the second floor for a better view and with no issue she helped us out, since most of the seats were reserved due to the fight we arrived an hour before the main card to try to get a good seat and thank goodness we did because it was packed for the main event. Granted, I went here maybe a couple months after it opened on a Thursday game night (maybe in March/early April). We sat on the upper balcony area so we could watch the game streamed on the big Thrive City screen. When we arrived, the server came with menus to greet us. We were surprised and mentioned we didn't know we'd get full service on the patio chairs and he mentioned we can also order at the bar. We ordered our first 2 rounds of drinks at the bar since he didn't come back and asked if we could order food, but the bartender told us to order through our server. We tried to flag our server down a few times but it got busy and he never came back to check in with us. It seemed like they only had 1-2 people covering the upstairs patio area which can hold A LOT of people. Finally, we found him on our way back to our table after ordering the 3rd round at the bar and mentioned we wanted to order food through him. At this time, the server said to us "Oh so you want service now?", obviously upset and shook his head at me. I understand being busy and assuming that we'd just order our drinks at the bar but it seemed like the staff weren't on the same page about how people are supposed to order food vs drinks. They also seemed understaffed, but it seemed really rude to respond in that manner. Pizza was like cardboard, but the fries were to die for. Wonderful drinks and atmosphere. I'd like to go back after a while to see if things have improved but the attitude I got for just asking if we could order food has been deterring me. My husband and I had an amazing time at Splash last week. We decided to go on an off-hour when there wasn't a game or concert, and it was great. It's a super open ambience and has an amazing bar. We were sitting in the bar section, and our servers immediately flocked to us to provide necessary libations. You will not be disappointed with the cocktails or the beer. There were at least 15 beers on tap, which was great. I'd give the calamari one star because it was pretty bland and fatty, but the smash burger was a delectable treat with iconic garlic fries that are worth every penny. My husband got the nachos with short ribs and without the melty queso, and they were amazing. We should've just ordered those since they can feed two to three people. Went out to Splash last night to check out thrive city new sports bar. Friday night it was packed but we had reservations. The service was good our waiter Luis took good care of us. The drinks came fast However, the food came super slow and the food was ok. We ordered the splash rolls, the California rolls, cauliflower nuggets, nachos and the calamari. Everything was subpar except for the nachos the nachos were real good real guac and the queso so good. The crowd was hip and young the place has TVs everywhere and it's cool to watch a warriors game there when the dubs are away. I can only imagine the chaos if the warriors played that night at chase that place would be even more packed. Security is cool they have bouncers inside and security guards outside so it's safe from rowdy drunks or your random homeless guy asking you for fries when you dine outside. All in all 3 stars if the food was better and it came within 30 minutes I would have given it 4 or 5 stars. But still a cool place to have a beer and nachos! read more

The menu isn't available online so I emailed in advance to ask if there are gluten free options. The response I got was "yes- you're going to love them" without any detail of what the options were, which honestly should've been my first red flag. The options marked on the menu are grilled chicken wings or nachos for an appetizer, tacos or a single salad for the entree. We ordered the chicken wings, which came out slathered in a sauce not mentioned on the menu. The menu said there were dipping sauces but it wasn't clear that the dipping was done for you. I asked the waiter if the sauce was gluten free and he did not know. He came back with our entrees and said the sauce was gluten free. I ordered the single gluten free salad: the grilled chicken. The salad that came out was a mix of all the salads on the menu; it had apples, pecans, cranberries AND half of the grilled chicken salad ingredients (namely the chicken and feta cheese), although the chicken salad listed avocado that was missing. Sadly, I took about four bites before realizing the salad I ordered shouldn't have nuts in it. The waiter was apologetic but it doesn't make sense how they could mix ingredients from two salads into one. The waiter said the manager would come over, and the manager never did. The waiter took the salad off my bill and acted like I was crazy for asking how this happened; they clearly have no allergy protocol if they're handing out salads with nuts in it that doesn't list nuts in it. I ended up throwing up before I made it to the car to go home. read more
