We recently remodeled our home and had to move nearly 30 years of accumulated stuff back from an apartment and from storage. We found Spend Less here on Yelp, and since the reviews looked good decided to give them a shot. What a great decision! Their movers were everything we could ask for. They were punctual, personable, careful, quick and accommodating. They arrived about half an hour before expected. They were really nice guys with great personalities, joking and singing and having fun with the work - and keeping it family friendly. They ran - RAN - to get things done and worked well as a team. Look at the attached photos and you'll see the lengths they went to in order to protect my house. And, when we asked them to change the location of a couple pieces they put down, there was no problem, they just did it. I highly recommend Spend Less. read more

Ok, these guys are the best movers I've delt with. They showed up on time. Then, during the move, it starts pouring rain, they wrapped my furniture in plastic and kept moving. Then when we got to my new place, they rolled out mats to keep my new carpet dry and track free. They never complained and were very professional. I highly recommend them. read more

I had booked them well over a week in advance for a move. I had a window of 1pm-2pm (maybe sooner if they finished their first job earlier). The day of the move Eric called me and said they were running behind. He pushed it back an hour, at 3:30 no one had shown up or called, I called Eric to find out what was going on and he said the first job was running late and they wouldn't be able to come until after 5pm. This wasn't going to work because I had to surrender my keys to the new owners that afternoon (which Eric was aware of) and they had cleaners scheduled to come at 5. This totally threw everyone off schedule. I had to call all of my family to help me move we were moving my stuff out while the new owner was moving her stuff in! After shopping 10 different moving companies, my husband and I decided to book with Spend Less For Movers. We couldn't have been more satisfied. In my shopping for a moving company I came across a few things that made me keep shopping, price too high, no return phone call, bad reviews, and very mediocre communication. Eric returned my call from yelp service search I made. From the begging Eric was professional and very detailed as to what his company offered. We booked our move. Eric followed up with emails and phone calls prior to the move date On moving day we got a text they where running 30 min late, no problem, they arrived just as promised. Our movers where Juan, Thomas and Matt. Juan walked though the house , made his plan on what needed to happen, and BAM they where off!!!! All three gentlemen worked non stop, it really was amazing. ( and they all were very kind to my 13 yr blind dog , poor thing she had no clue as to what was happening ) We landed and they finished our move before 4:00pm. Because of you guys we didn't have to count on every friend and relative we have to help us move. (They all thank you as well )And I got a huge compliment from our friends that brought us dinner. She said, " Your house doesn't look like u just moved in two hours ago." It only went down like that because Juan , Thomas and Matt rocked it all day long. New in the business yet gave a great service! Truck used: new, clean, organized, no bad smell Men: Eric (owner) and Salvador - very professional, treated me with respect. They don't smell bad too despite of moving around! Time scheduled: 3pm. Was advised by Eric they couldn't make it on time because of prior engagement which wasn't a big deal. The most I appreciated was Eric informed me ahead of time. Even when they were at McDonalds having late lunch, he messaged and informed me that they will be on time at 5pm as promised. You Arrival: 5pm, on time. Service: Before we proceeded to moving the furniture, paperwork was done, made sure I was aware of the insurance coverage, etc. Moved the heavy furniture so fast. They were very careful not to scratch the wall, my washer dryer, etc.. moved done a little over 2 hours Price: Affordable. Paid $250 with my $17 tip. Eric honors 5% discount but i opted not take it. Move wasn't perfect. Tried to contact to reschedule but did not receive a reply. I messaged through Yelp and also provided my direct number but they failed to reply through either channel and instead claimed to text some random number. Otherwise it was easy to book at last minute, although they should offer lower prices for quick moves as ours only took an hour and we were charged $365. read more

Spend Less For Movers (Newport Beach) WOW! The entire moving experience was smooth and calming. Eric W. was amazing from start to finish. He made sure that the move fit into our schedules perfectly. He displayed diligence in following up with our times via text messaging and phone calls. I never second guessed if the move would actually take place. When the morning arrived for the move, the movers were prompt and genuinely polite. We started by going over paper work and doing a walk- through of the home. I was very pleased with my crew and my move. They wrapped all of my furniture, they were careful with my boxes, and they were polite and considerate. They got the job done in good time so the costs stayed where I expected them to be. My armoire would not fit up the stairs but they really did try - multiple ways - to see if they could get it up there. Finally, I told them to just leave it in the garage, I don't want to see anyone get hurt and it was just not going to make it! But they tried their best. (This is a week late post, better late than never!) I just want to THANK Eric for my moving last minute! I've had one day to move and now need to scramble to try to facilitate a move. Please, please do not use them. We have been in our house for 38 years and my biggest fear of all was finding the right movers who we could trust with our stuff! 10/10 would recommend! I can't say enough about how helpful and positive my whole experience was with SLFM. They were accommodating when I moved up my move date twice, even sending movers 2 hours after my last inquiry for a date change. The crew was friendly and fast, getting right to work. I had an infant mid nap when they arrived and they didn't even bat an eye about noise, etc. They took care of the furniture with pads and cling wrap and made sure to cover the stairs and railings. If there was a question about where to put a box, they made sure to ask. They even repositioned furniture willingly when I wanted to try a new configuration. It was a big move that included a solid oak hand carved china cabinet built by grandfather and I was extremely nervous about moving it. These guys were great! Gave them less than a 12 hour notice and they showed up before 8:30AM! They did a quick walk through of our two-story house and starting loading all the boxes first.
