*****Do NOT fall for it! These people are so shady and just changed their business name within the last couple of days! This is still XPRESS MOVING!***** I had used this company's services earlier this month to move a small amount of items to my new place and I deeply regret it! Biggest mistake, but you live and learn the hard way sometimes. My furniture ended up being damaged during the moving process and this company refused to compensate me for the damages their movers caused. My not even a year old table ended up with a huge scratch in it and the corners of my dressers were chipped. None of these were there before, but the manager John shifted blame onto the guys who placed my furniture in storage rather than admitting fault. My dresser was tumbled up the stairs without the top being protected and I believe this may be how the corners ended up getting chipped. I do not know how my table was scratched, but it was damaged somehow in the moving process. Heed my warning! Do NOT use this company! If you can find some friends who can help you move do that instead. This company will charge you an outrageous amount of money to move a minimal amount of things, damage your furniture, and then refuse to compensate you for them and then expect a tip! Not to mention they will waste your time as if you have nothing else to do, but wait on them. I waited a very long time for these movers to show up at the storage facility. Too long! I went home for a little bit because they took forever to show up! I was told they would call me when they were 15 minutes away. Didn't get that call so if I had not taken it upon myself to leave my new residence and go back to the storage facility they would have arrived and I would have not been present. Very unprofessional. Also, this company doesn't even have a physical address! I went to the address provided in the email to talk things out with the manager, but it was nowhere to be found. So maybe...just maybe...this company isn't even legit! This was very troubling to learn of. Buyer beware! And everyone else who is talking about their crazy prices for using a credit card are not fooling you! They are right! Bunch of scammers! read more

These guys took the worry out of my move! The movers were on time, and worked nonstop at the two pick up locations and the 3-story, narrow stairwell, final location. Every piece of furniture was wrapped and cushioned. They were friendly and had an amazing attitude the entire time. They didn't have that "I don't want to be here" or "F. This is heavy and you expect me to take it where?" attitude. Instead, they gave me the, "oh you changed your mind about where the dresser goes, and want me to re-move it? Sure! And great color choice on the paint for that dresser, by the way" attitude. Seriously. Marcus and Josh helped me with a relatively small move and they did so quickly and efficiently. The trip up to the bedroom on the second floor was a tight squeeze, but they were careful not to scratch a thing. Marcus even took apart an awkwardly shaped desk to make sure it made it up without any issue. They work hard and efficient and are respectful of your belongings. Only downside, they were 20 minutes late to start, but they sure made up for it by working fast. read more

!!!!DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! We were very nice to the movers, feed them and tip them and all. But they stole my Rolex watch and jewelries!!!! We had a heavy safe and unfortunately, I forgot to remove my jewelries from my safe, thinking they won't be able to open it---wrong! They were able to open it and took my Rolex and jewelries! It was 2 months after I file a police report that the manager told me that his own employees did it! I hope the police will locked those bastards for life! read more

"Our moving experience" I told my best friend that we were moving and we needed to find a moving company to help us. My best friend said, I have the perfect company. He said you have to call John at Allies Moving, cause he's the best, so we did :). They showed up on time, brought supplies, worked quickly and strategically packed our belonging's and safely moved us to our new place on Valentines Day. Even though there were a few bumps and bruises with the move :) "John D" stayed in contact with me and assured us everything would be okay and not to worry. I think it's great that John and his team held to their "word" and made what could have been a bad day a good day. We would recommend Allies Moving to any of our friends, family and will for sure call them in the future. "Buyer Beware!" !" Rate "0" stars. I had written the following first comment before what happened to me when it came to "bill time". ("Stavo, Marcus and Chris, boy, these guys are strong and they work really hard! They are friendly and respectful. 13 hours almost and, dang,,,no complaints! I'm not moving again anytime soon, but if I do, I'm calling these guys!! Hooray!") The movers were great. BUT, the owner John is a bit of a scammer. First of all, he tried to bump my rate up from $109hr. to $168hr. Sighting that is was a "holiday". It was the day after Thanksgiving, he "Never" mentioned that over the phone!! I would never have booked him on that day, and pay almost $60 bucks more!! He was trying to exploit the fact, I was at his mercy, I had already booked his company and I had to be moved out before the first of December. I called his bluff and threatened that I would call off the whole thing! So he honored our verbal agreement, after all that! So I thought that was that. Than he threw in something called a flat rate?? of $49 bucks, and, I forget what he called this other charge term, but it basically means he charges double for the time it takes his drivers to drive back and forth, from house to house. Oh, and don't forget...its $105 for cash and $109 for credit card payments, I opted for the cc payment (cuz I had to) that already is being "charged for the fact of using a cc" but NO, wrong! There is another 5% charge for using a cc on top of that! And the kicker!!! "He charges tax on Labor" IRS I hope you're paying attention to this guy...since he charges tax on labor, you better collect on it too!!! So something that I thought would cost,,,let me break it down for ya...13x$109+$49-$25 (for good Yelp review, which I meant every word at the time) =$1441 (no wonder they ask for the review before the bill) and ended up costing almost $1800, with tip. I agree with the gal that said 0 stars! This company is horrible. They arrived 45 minutes late and the guy in charge arrived so pumped up on steroids that I was literally afraid. I'm 62 with an 82 year old handicapped husband moving from a large home. He was in my face from the start and I asked him to leave my home and my property, he refused. I called the owner who apologized and assured me he would remove steroid boy and get me moved. An hour and a half later another kid showed up to help. It was a long day, 13 hours to move and the drive was 0.1 mile to our new home. It took two trips as well. I asked for two trucks and 5 guys, I got 1 truck and 3 boys. I was over charged but to exhausted to fight with him any longer. The next day I discovered they had broken 2 boxes of my wedding dishes.$1,500.00 to replace them. I called the owner to turn in a claim. A few days later I would learn that nothing was covered. In the small print it was disclosed that if they do not do the packing damaged goods are not covered! The owner offered me $30.00 "in good faith" for the broken dishes. I was so disappointed in the boys for not telling me they broke dishes as well as furniture. I fed them lunch, provided cold drinks the entire day and gave each of them a generous tip. It was a long, hot day with a horrible moving experience. Don't hire these guys. read more

What an excellent moving experience! Right from the earliest stages John in the office was very clear, helpful and responsive to all of our questions about scheduling and booking our packing and move. We had packers show up the day before our move and packed up our entire home in no time - and they did an excellent job (way better than we could've done ourselves - and it showed when we were unpacking as we didn't have anything break during the move (or even get scratched up). And I can't say enough about the actual moving day. We had excellent movers show up (Mark, Chris & Sam), and they hustled through every step of the move. These guys were friendly, courteous but most of all professional - they were careful with our furniture and boxes, and worked fast! So I had my things moved today(which were very expensive) James and Marcus did an excellent job making sure my things were handled properly. They were very respectful and nice. They arrived in a timely manner and also got to the place I stored my belonging in. The timing was very good and they also wrapped my things in wraps and also once again made sure my things were tightly secured in the moving truck. I was nervous and stressed about moving because my things and the cost. Which I called several moving companies. They were able to send me an invoice which I felt was professional because no other moving company had done that they were also able to schedule the move two days before. Great service- these guys are professional, very helpful, and friendly, nice guys to boot. My roommate had used them in her previous move and hired them again to get her stuff into our new place. I had just gotten back into town from a business trip and hadn't had time to make my own arrangements, but they fit me into their busy end of the month schedule and made my life a whole lot easier. Renting the truck on your own keeps the cost down and they bring all their own packing blankets, straps and dollies so you don't have to worry about it. They showed up on time, worked quickly and efficiently, and had good attitudes even though it was the middle of a very hot week in LA and not a fun time to be doing heavy lifting. Recommended by another mover that was unable to do our move. Spoke with them over the phone and they advised that it was a flat rate, 3 guys and a truck. Didn't go into any other specific detail, but when they arrived, there were some additional charges. They contacted their office and I spoke with them and was advised that the info was on the email they sent to me, which was my bad, but also their bad for the initial contact info not disclosing that tidbit of information. But the situation was resolved amicably. The movers, Sam, Ryan and Antonio did a FANTASTIC job. They kept on schedule and were super efficient, friendly and respectful. BEWARE! The actual movers did a great job. When loading the furniture They notified us immediately when they damaged our flat screen television and were very apologetic. One gouge and a small scratch. The move was less than ideal. Our new home has a very steep driveway and the movers had to shuttle the furniture up the hill. They had to use John Delgado's pick up truck to do it. We made sure to generously tip them for all of the extra work. We even tipped the owner John. This put us way above our budget but we appreciated the hard work. However it was after we finished moving and got service connected, we were able to see the extent of the damage done to our tv. The pixels in the middle of the television where the gouge is are completely gone leaving a big white area in the middle of the screen. We notifyied the co-owner John Delgado of the damage. He said he would check into it. I had to contact him back to see what he found. He verified it did happen and told us the insurance only replaced at .60 per pound per article. When this was questioned he said we only got the basic insurance( we were never offers insurance or an upgrade). I found a new replacement television for a third of what we originally paid. He said he would give us $100 for the tv- equivalent to his tip. When we disputed this, he referred us to his insurance agent. He has a $1,000 deductible which our claim was well under that. When I spoke to his agent and told him we were only asking for the replacement and not original purchase price, he felt it was very reasonable and said he would speak to John. We have still heard nothing back. He ignored us completly. So the movers get 5 stars, the Owner gets -5 stars. I would be careful and make sure you ask about their alleged insurance upgrade. We allowed ample time for response before we posted this...it's been almost two months. While we are hesitant to post this since they do have our address, we feel our only recourse at this point is to make others aware of our experience. read more

These movers know how to move! They were on time, very polite and wow were they quick. There were two guys John and Chris who were very nice. The two of them did the work of 5 guys. All of the furniture was wrapped and protected. We moved out of two bedroom apartment and it only took them about 5 hours total to load and unload the truck, that included drive time. If we could give this joke of a company a zero star rating, we would. We had an appointment with these guys this morning to move us out of our old place into our new place. We booked the appointment a week in advance and were very specific that we had a place that needed to move 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a living room worth of stuff/furniture and that this would require a large moving truck. The guys showed up in a small 16 foot truck and we proceeded to ask them why they brought such a small moving vehicle. John, the "guy in charge" said they didn't have a larger vehicle and cancelled the job on the spot... mind you we needed to be out of our place by the next day and had already booked and put down deposits for a cleaning lady and carpet cleaner for later that day after the moving was supposed to be done. We had to cancel both of those appointments and lost money due to John literally cancelling our job to our faces on our door step. He literally left us high and dry. Also, one of the guys who was with John appeared to be either on drugs or drunk, as he was twitching and licking his lips as if he was under the influence. I felt so uncomfortable as this was creepy and unprofessional!!! This entire situation was an utter inconvenience to us and actually cost us money. I was blown away after I read some of the previous users yelp reviews and noticed that the majority had the same horrible experience. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All the time I saw a great rates and amazing service. My move was completed on time, with no damages and no surprises as usual. They are super professional, fair pricing, and quick. They were efficient, careful and in great spirits all day, never complained about a thing (unlike every other mover I have ever hired).
