To start, The movers were fantastic…read more Here is my main issue. We discussed a payment of $169 per hour for a minimum of 3 hours. Fair enough. We weren't to hard on our movers and get them our in 2:15 total. The issue, upon payment it was brought up we needed to pay them for "double drive time". The person even brought up a California Labor Law website. The additional fee was $175, in cash which was shocking. It felt slimy in the moment and we were expected to just ante up $675 for 2:15. Double drive time implying they went from our old house to the new house. My question is, is that not the standard of moving (2 locations)? And why was this fee not brought to our attention during the initial conversations. I'm sure there is a email they send. But when you advertise $169 per hour with a 3 hour minimum, that was certainly the price we expected.

They had wardrobe boxes I could use for my clothes, which was much appreciated. They took apart things like my table, tv stand, book shelves, etc. and wrapped everything.
