Went to Honest Toms in Sterling, VA after a check engine light and misfires. They ended up…read morereplacing my fuel injectors ($3000). They have to remove all the intake components to get to the rear bank because it's a transverse engine, so I get there's going to be extra man hours involved. The problem is that the work of putting it back together definitely seemed rushed once I got in and starting looking around. The upper intake manifold has a bolt on the back to keep it stable. That was missing. The foam cover of the high pressure fuel pump that sits on top of the valve cover was missing, and the main underbody splash guard cover was missing. I guess it was too much effort to the put those back. The upper intake manifold bolts had 2 that were heavily stretched and deformed and these are not Torque to Yield bolts. And one was cross threaded. I had to use a thread chaser to fix that one and replaced the others. This all really makes me wonder what else they didn't do or didn't bother trying to do. I'm looking it over really well now to make sure they didn't leave off anything important. They acted like they were doing me a huge favor knocking 50 bucks off the price but honestly I would have rather had them charge $5 more to replace the bad and/or lost bolts.
