I have a Nissan Versa with 65K and take good care of it. I felt it was sluggish on acceleration of late, and took it in this morning to Precision Import Service so that they could take a look at it. The service I received was top-notch! From the lady at the front desk who greeted me and checked me in, to the gentleman who test drove my car and inspected it and told me that what was needed was a CVT drain and fill. Everything was explained to me upfront, what needed to be done and the cost which was quite reasonable. All was done in a timely manner. I called with a noise after braking and what I thought was a problem with my brakes. Over the phone I received a few quotes for a full brake job. I called Precision Import and while she gave me a quote she encouraged me to find some time to bring my Infiniti in. I scheduled a date and dropped the key off in the overnight box. Steve gave me a call the next day after lunch with a diagnosis that the hub bearing on the left rear wheel needed repair, but that the brakes were wearing evenly and not in need of replacement yet. I asked the question several times to learn if my brakes would need repair soon, or if I should just get them done now, but Steve assured me that this repair would stop the noise and the car would continue to brake safely for many more miles before I would need to get them replaced. I have worked on cars and I appreciated his expertise and candor. He could have just added an unnecessary repair or charge- but he didn't- thank you Steve and Precision Import problem solved! read more

I sent in a request for a quote based on a recommendation for work from a Toyota dealer. (My engine light was on.) They indicated the issue recommended by the dealership wasn't actually the issue, it was a much smaller issue which cost $1,000 less than quoted by the dealership. Total RIP OFF. They replaced a perfect coolant tank and coolant pipe without finding the issue with the car. Do not take complicated European cars here. They'll replace things without actually knowing how to fix the issue. read more

Spot on work!!!! I went to two other shops before going to them for a balance and rotation. The first shop messed up my balancing and told me that everything was fine (LIE, aggressive vibration was still in the steering). I went to a second shop to check behind the previous shop's work. They even stated that everything was good (LIE, aggressive vibration was still in the steering). I went to Precision Imports and they pointed out that one of the four tires were balanced. They fixed problem and the vibration went away and recommended a Road Force Balance if I wanted to get a smoother ride. Bottom line they're honest and very knowledgeable in their work. read more

I am from Reston VA and bringing your car to repair in this area, the cost its ridiculous and unrealistic. Here is a known mechanic shop in Sunset Hills Reston known for their high prices and made up diagnostics to charge you even more. I recommend everybody from Reston to move to Precision Import Service. You will not just save tons of money but you will have a very honest diagnostic and savings that you couldn't imagine. Also while others deny to give you a quote over the phone, these people will, saving you time and honoring the price they are really telling you., no surprises fees or bullshit. These guys figured out how to keep their clients happy to keep them coming while others are loosing clients by their greediness and dishonesty. I highly recommend them. read more

They diagnosed the evaporator leak on my 1998 RAV4 accurately to be a leaky hose. They just fixed it for a reasonable price of about $100 where I'm sure others may have charged a lot more. Honest and reliable! read more

Chose them based off of reviews for my Audi which was producing loud clicking sounds. Received a quote, decided to go with their recommendation despite being slightly higher than other shops. Work was scheduled easily on a convenient day for me. During my drive home from the shop immediately heard the same sound. The shop failed to fully diagnose my vehicle and looks like drivers side needed attention as well. Shop was closed by the time I got home and problem continued thru the weekend. Their inability to fully diagnose and fix my car is disappointing and I cannot recommend this shop for repair services based on my experience. I will have no choice now but to spend more money and go somewhere. read more

I live in MD and traveled all the way to Chantilly to see this shop based on the great reviews here. They lived up to their reputation. We had a front-end noise coming from one of our cars; I had taken it to several other dealers and mechanics to try and have it resolved. Precision couldn't figure it out either, but it wasn't for a lack of trying. They put multiple mechanics on it and spent three hours with the car to try and figure out what was going on -- and they didn't charge me a dime. "We didn't do anything, so we won't charge you anything," the owner told me. Other shops would have charged an inspection fee and spent half the time and effort to diagnose the problem. Not this place. Reviewers have noted how this is an honest shop run by honest people. I can attest to that. read more

Required service on two Toyota's, a matrix and celica. A/C was not working on both, power steering went bad on the matrix, axle needed replacement on the celica. The service performed was once again top notch and very prompt. Shop called every time something unexpected came up, and was upfront about the cost. I haven't shopped around for better pricing, as Precision import service has been nothing but great to me over the years. Will continue to usilize their services as long as I have my toyota's/lexus'. read more
