I can't recommend Carr Fleet enough! My transfer case catastrophically failed, and I was incredibly lucky that my car broke down just two minutes away from their shop. It was around 10:00 PM, so I searched Google for the nearest repair shop and found Carr Fleet. Even though they were closing, one of the employees took the time to help me drop off my car. That alone showed me they genuinely care about their customers. The next morning, my car was fully diagnosed, and they clearly explained the issue and gave me multiple repair options without any pressure. Since replacing the transfer case is a major job, I was told it would likely take a few days. To my surprise, I received a text message the very next day around 5:00 PM saying my car was ready for pickup! I honestly couldn't believe how quickly they completed such a big repair. The price was very fair, but what really stood out was the outstanding customer service, professionalism, honesty, communication, and efficiency. Everyone at the shop treated me with respect and made a stressful situation so much easier. There are not many automotive repair shops that do a free diagnostics, not only for the problem you are bringing it for but a total car diagnostics and it's FREE. They fixed the air conditioning that we brought it in for and told of of upcoming repairs that might be needed in the near future. They did it quickly and efficiently and even through in a free oil change.. highly recommend this shop. 5 read more

Incompetent, horrendous, and will try to rip you off on parts. I checked yelp, made an appointment, and dropped my car off for a quick service. Both the adviser on the phone and behind the desk stated that this should be a quick fix, built my hopes up, and I was looking forward to finding a local repair shop that I could trust. Several hours go by and I hear nothing. I give them a buzz and the agent on the phone acted confused and repeated my original concerns back to me. "Oh yea, we're seeing the same problem". I asked him what progress they made and he said none and really didn't seem to care. I questioned how they would meet the original deadline and he said they probably couldn't. I stated that I can come and pick up the car if they were unable or unwilling to work on it. He told me to wait and he would call me back in an hour. One hour later, no phone call so I gave him a buzz again and he said a $800 part needed to be replaced. They weren't 100% sure nor could explain how they diagnosed it but said it needs an $800 part. I came to pick up the car, and the lady at the front desk returned my key and asked nothing. They didn't offer to fix anything or any additional explanation, just returned the key and I went on my way. After a 30 second search, the same part online is $50. This place is either a front or operates on extortion simple hard working folks. BEWARE and go elsewhere. read more

I typically buy my cars used, with 50K miles or so on them and hang on to them to the very end, when they look at me and say, "It's ok, I've had a good life - it's time to let go. Don't let me suffer anymore." My point is that I know I'm going to have car repairs, I don't expect my cars to be perfect, but I need to know they are going to be reliable. I want to be able to take my car to a mechanic that will tell me what needs to be done versus what can wait and I can trust what they are telling me. Carr Automotive is all that and then some. When I get the phone call telling me what needs to be done, I have complete confidence that I'm being treated fairly and honestly. A few weeks ago, I brought in my Buick with transmission issues. It has 85K miles and I was expecting a doozy of a bill. I got the call and they had good news and bad news. The bad news was I needed a new transmission. The good news was it was covered under warranty. After further discussion, I learned that they called one dealer who told them it wasn't covered. They called a 2nd dealer who told them it was. Long story short, I brought my car to the dealer, it was fixed and it didn't cost me anything. They could have taken the word of the first dealer and landed themselves a pretty good size repair, but they went the extra mile and saved me $2,500. And that is why I have confidence in everyone that works there. And it's exactly why I will take my car to them for everything that needs to be done. Great shop, they did brake job on my BMW and gave me several options to choose from. I went with Centric High Carbon rotors and Centric Posi Quiet pads, very happy as the dusting is much less that the OE brakes and braking feels better that OE brakes. read more

I had to have some significant repairs done to my 2010 Honda Civic and I needed them done in a timely fashion. Christine who is the Service Manager was able to have a complete diagnostics rundown done very quickly for me. I had a pretty significant issue with my air conditioning unit that had to be addressed immediately. I also had an issue with the wiring to my front right turn signal. Christine got me a very reasonable estimate out for the work that I needed done so I decided to move forward and have her lead mechanic Jose perform the work. Jose was able to repair my air conditioning system and it is now blowing ice cold air, which is a true blessing when having to deal with the brutal Virginia summer heat! Jose also fixed my wiring issue with my turn signal, so that's one less issue that I have to worry about now. Christine and Jose definitely went above and beyond for me and I will definitely be taking my vehicles back to Car Fleet for any future issues that may arise. read more

I had an appointment for 8 a.m. and arrived at 7:58 a.m. Once I parked my vehicle outside the place of business, the garage door was open, therefore I made my way inside. The white haired mechanic (the man seen in the photos above) was inside the open garage and I went to introduce myself and tell of my appointment; as I did not see any office to enter. I began by reaching out for a handshake and informing the man of my appoitment. He rudely denied the handshake and before I could even say my full name, he says, "No, no, don't be in here...go to the office and tell them." Mind you, the guy does not even show where the office is and of course the unprofessional manner would make any person not want to leave their vehicle at an auto shop with this type of negligence. I called the business to cancel the appoitment as I was leaveing and a kind female answered the phone. I told her of the encounter to which she apologized and said the manager would call...no phone call was made. Moral of the story, I took my business elsewhere and others should do the same. read more
