Laughably incompetent. They messed up the alignment worse than it was originally. Steering wheel was crooked, measurements were in the red on their own sheet. Mistakes happen, so I came back and asked to redo the alignment, showed them their own sheet and said the wheel was crooked after the alignment. They said (1) they don't do rear alignments on Toyotas (???), (2) the car has unspecified issues that don't allow it to be aligned, (3) they would need additional payment to do the steering wheel correction. When I pressed them on what the issues were, they refused to commit to anything. Nothing was written down. Truly baffling that these people are running a real shop. I asked to talk to the alignment tech and they said he can't speak English. So how can he understand anything? Is he just guessing? I'm willing to bet they don't have anyone trained and that they're just winging it on each alignment. I talked to Rose and Arbor (blond ponytail man). They kept pushing for more money, and they said I already got an alignment so I shouldn't be greedy. Very rude while I spoke very politely. I went to Midas down the street and they fixed it. No issues with the car were identified, perfect alignment, 45 minutes. The before measurements (after Firestone's alignment) were way off. Extremely unprofessional. I needed it repaired quickly and it took over a week, which I can forgive, but what I cannot get past is that they did not do the repairs they charged me for. They claimed they replaced several items including heating hoses and the thermostat housing, but not long after I started having problems with the system again. I was able to take it to my longtime mechanic for that (out of state, otherwise I would have gone there in the first place), and they found the components had not been replaced at all. I'll start this review with some good news. This Firestone location is always busy, so clearly it has its base of supporters and regular customers. It is also a decent place for a relatively conventional inexpensive oil change, thus the second star. While this location doesn't get credit for it, Firestone's website, app and email system - which sends you the quotes and follow-ups in real time along with actual photos of the part in question, is convenient and well done. Now, for the negative. This simply is NOT the place to take your car for anything other than an oil change. I typically don't do "chain" auto service centers and have another nearby mechanic but - given that he closes up shop early each day - I decided to entrust Firestone for a front brake job (along with an oil change), which is surveyed though their $9.99 "inspection" to surmise the issue. Now, imagine taking your car in for front brake pads - even with the knowledge that rotors may well be needed - and receiving a quote for an astounding $4,000 for a myriad of allegedly "required" repairs. It's an incredibly bad look, and it does little to separate Firestone from service departments at dealerships, which are notorious for inflated prices and exaggerated repair quotes. THIS is the reason consumers, especially in today's financial climate, avoid dealerships for service in the first place - to find a trusted, reasonably-priced mechanic that doesn't overload estimates or include a litany of other items in with a brake quote. While the majority of the $4K quote had little to do with the front brakes, they craftily intertwined "must do" items INTO the brake repair, like a $200 brake fluid flush along with a REAR brake job, complete with new rotors and shoes. It wasn't until I called to discuss the ridiculous quote that the service technician backpedaled on how dire the quote made the repairs sound. I was then told they could "work with me" on the price. What does that even mean? Services are services and prices are prices. Why is there even wiggle room to negotiate repair pricing? Because they quote stratospheric prices in the hopes you'll hand them a blank check and, if you balk, they then work backwards in price - that's why. After trying to remove services from the quote and have them repair the front brakes only, the total was still well over $700. That is simply an outrageous charge for front brakes on a 2020 Dodge Charger, and it comes with the nervousness of driving around wondering if I am neglecting issues with the vehicle, given the overblown original quote. So I passed on the work altogether and agreed to pay for the $9.99 inspection, asking them to pull my car down out of the bay ASAP so that I could make it to another local repair shop with sensible pricing. Not only did it take them an additional hour to pull the car out, but I was shocked when arriving to find that they performed the oil change, which I didn't authorize when explicitly telling them I wasn't getting the work done there. $73 later, I had my car back and three hours missing out of my life. Do yourself a favor and find one of the many, privately-owned shops around this area. They tried to rip me off big time. I brought in a flat tire with a nail in the middle of the tread to be fixed. They said it was so dry rotted it would blow up if they tried to fix it. They also said I needed 4 new tires (despite the fact all my 4 tires had less than 14 thousand miles on them.) They gave me an estimate for $958. I declined and drove to Spaid's Sunoco on Veirs Mill Road. Mr. Spaid said the tire was not dry rotted and fixed it. And he said I did not need any new tires. Person behind the desk yelled at someone for requesting they help them at their appointment time, after waiting about 10 minutes. The front desk was understaffed and they were probably stressed, so probably management's fault. Big chains like this tend to not allocate their resources to less affluent areas. Also I'm pretty sure they broke my ac. It was working perfectly fine before and now the two right side vents don't work. And they reattached my fender trim, but it fell off again immediately afterwards. I've been to this location before for a tire change and oil change with no issues. Another time I had a Buick that needed inspection before being titled in MD. They said I needed $2000 worth of corrections. These guys don't use torque wrenches when they tighten lug nuts for the wheels. Excessively tightened lug nuts can strip the threads, distort brake rotors, damage the wheel, and possibly shear off the lug stud. I went to them about a month ago to get my tires (4) installed. I tried to take out one of the wheels because a nail was stuck and was leaking air. Firestone over-torqued so much that one of the tools that I used was destroyed while I was trying to take off the wheel. So I called them back to find out what they could do about it and the guy who answered the phone didn't seem to care much to help. He just told me that the manager wasn't there and that he can't do anything about it. I ordered Tires from Tire Rack and used this place as the installer, as they were listed on Tire Rack's list of installers. They charged me a higher price than Tire Rack listed. Then, 12 hours after they put the tires on, one tire was already down 10 psi. They didn't install it correctly, so I had to bring it in the next day and wait 3 hours to get it fixed. Fast forward a month, and yet another tire is having the same issue according to my dealership when I got the oil changed. I call Firestone, they say bring it in and they say I cannot make an appointment. I bring it in on a Sunday (which they told me was less busy) and they say they are booked the whole day and cannot take my car. I tell them I work in person full time during the week and ask again if I can make an appointment. They won't let me. TLDR: you will get very poor workmanship, and even worse customer service. I have been a customer at Firestone for over 20 years. There has been a couple of mechanical issues over the years but they were taken care of. On September,28 and left overnight. When went to pick up my car it had ransacked and items thrown out of console and glove box. I had several cards stolen which I had to cancel them and file a police report. Worst Tire Shop, I Had both Tires on my rear replaced because they both had been patched up in the past 3 months. On my rear left It got to a point I had to Inflate it everyday. After they replaced both rear tires 2 days ago, my tire pressure light came on the same night. I noticed that my front Right tire has the same patches that my rear left one did that I had to inflate everyday. When you pay for a service, you expect to have that service done. I'm not asking for going above and beyond. I came into Firestone to get all my liquids topped off, oil change, and a vehicle inspection. I was told that my car would be ready in 2 hours. I got a phone call and was advised to get my battery changed. I've never had problems with my battery, but since its been a little over 3 years, I told them to go ahead and changed my batteries. Which added to the cost. I didn't mind, I wanted my car to be well taken care of. I got a call in less than 2 hours and was told that my car was ready. I found that odd, cause there were plenty of cars that needed servicing before I left. I came back and was told that next service I needed rotations and something else (I don't remember). Went back to my car, popped the hood, and checked all my liquids. None of it was topped off! I was angry! Did they expect that since I'm a female that I wouldn't check or didn't know how to check? How are you able to say that you did all the services that I paid for, when you didn't do the most simplest thing?!?! I went back to the store and whomever serviced my vehicle prevented me to talk to the guy at the desk. Instead he stirred me back to the car and I told him that he didn't do his job. His buddies started laughing at him and said something in Spanish (which I can understand by the way!) And they told him "That he got caught!" I like bringing my car here for auto repairs. It is very conveniently located on Georgia Avenue and it is just a few miles & minutes from my house. I have had brake shoes & pads put on my car here. Online there was a good coupon for $50 off per axle. Prior to this I bought 4 new tires at Firestone. Their store brand is high quality and much more affordable than the national brands. I recommend making the appointment for service online. That being said I've found a slight disconnect between the expectations from the online experience and the actual price and type of tires that fit my car. Upon arriving for the brake service it felt weird to be told initially that I needed to come back tomorrow because they would need more time to get the parts delivered & complete the service. Then I repeated that I do infact have an appointment that was verified by a follow up email from the service center. It took about 3 hours for new front brakes to be put on my car. It did seem a bit long to me. The customer Service here is quite good. I have been impressed by the quality of the work. One of the technicians told me they are under new management. My service request was only partially meet. I went in for a tire replacement and asked to have my other tires pressure checked. The tire was replaced but my tire pressure wasn't checked. The warning light didn't go off and I was reassured the pressure was checked and the light would turn off once I drove a mile or two. The light didn't go off and I ended up putting air in all of the other tires (on was 25lbs, should be 36lbs). This would have been such a simple task for them. Will not be returnin. read more

Firestone tech contacted dealership to share what the issue was (fuel cap needed to be replaced). No call back by 545. I sat in the waiting room the whole time. Finally I contacted the dealership and they told me Firestone said it was a loose gas cap which wasn't what I was told (fuel cap needed to be replaced). I finally had dealership call Firestone to pay for the work but Firestone's lack of communication cost me a lost 2 hours. Almost 5 hours sitting and waiting for the car. It's almost like they don't have a really good way of organizing themselves and/or forget about certain cars that need to be service. Too my car into this Firestone location straight out of the shop where I had just got a paint job to get a alignment. When I come to pick up the car the paint all on the door handle had been damaged. Something was rubbed against it. I complained to the person at the front desk he said nothing could be done because they don't have cameras outside or in. So he didn't know how the car got it. I don't know much about cars so I had a lot of questions and the entire staff was very patient and helpful with explaining what my car needed and why. Stay away from this crazy place with very crazy and heartless management. They are very scammers. I have been going to this shop for more than 7 years now and I have warranties on almost everything (braces, tires, Alignment, etc) but anytime you have a problem they don't want to fix your car or they will tell you that everything fine. Yesterday Friday may 17 I went there because I hade braces problems and rotors I met Andrew who checked my car 2 months ago and told me that I will pay 375 dollars to fix it with my warranty. No yesterday he increased the price to 467 dollars that I had to pay. I swear not going to this shop since my last visit but because I have warranty on the parts that's why I went. Andrew put very cheap brakes and rotors on the car and when I left there I still have this problem on the road and this morning I stopped by a gas station to check again the car because I'm scared to have an accident again and a mechanic in the gas station saw the brakes they put and complained that why they did that to you. I called Firestone to talk to Andrew while they put on hold for more than 45 min and finally Andrew on the phone I was explaining to him with very emotional way because this is too much and he got mad and hanged the phone on me.
