    Tires Precise installed

My Infiniti, had sat unused for four years. My car was towed to Precise, because Costco recommended them. Towed so as not to circulate deteriorated gas and oil throughout the system, the manager called after a couple of days and quoted a ball park amount, not itemized figure, over the phone. Then he put me on hold, came back and asked "if I wanted Costco's discount or his Lower discount. I said the lower discount. He did not Email or text an. But instead he highballed then lowballed me-the ole bait and switch discount. All clear in hindsight. I asked specifically for an oil change and gas tank flush, since the car had sat for four years. I asked for a diagnostic to see if the car was worth being repaired given the age and value of the car. Blake said yes, it was worth it and a great car. Long story short, Blake said I needed new tires, he took off Bf Goodrich tires and chose to replace with Ironman. He never flushed the gas tank and did not give a code breakdown of the lights lit on the dash or anything else. He said not to worry about the lights. Nor did he inform me that the driver's seat track was broken, and he knew because he had driven the car (on unacceptable tires he had installed-(and would not replace). Additionally, Blake said that none of the windows went down and would have to be diagnosed to find out the problem. At pickup time, I asked Blake what kind of gas I should use, he said regular is fine. Not true! The car takes premium. When I picked up the car, was the first time I had ever sat in my departed son's car. Blake actually drove the car more than I. I only drove the car about three miles to my house. He admitted to driving the on the highway. The bill was $2500.00, exceeding the value of the car. And lots more work is needed to make the car safe, work I did not find out about until the $2500.00 bill was paid, and as I sat in the car for the first time ever. That's when I was told about the broken driver's seat track, and to not to worry about the lights on the dash that I asked the meaning of. He did not mention-nor note the driver's side mirror needing replacement. Had Blake been decent and most of all, honorable, Blake would have said to consider selling, since repair costs would far exceed the value of the car. That was my reason for going to Precise, and what I asked them to find out. Was the car worth repairing? This is a service they claimed to provide. Honestly, I feel I was being setup to be milked over time. I am a grieving mother, over 70 years of age, who knows nothing about cars. It's plausible that long time associates and friends are treated differently at Precise; it clearly seems so based on close readings of reviews. But check all the reviews, especially other first timers, like mine. Those not in any special group, or timers, be cautious, very cautious if you don't want to be put in debt that, for me, could have been avoided. Heartbreaking outcome from a precisely underhanded company. At my expense, I am sure they all got a great laugh. Look at the condition of the tires Blake put on my car. All had shredded pieces of some kind of paper from who knows what, on the tread. I think the tires might have been used. Now on the hunt for a reputable Machanic. They kept my car for TWO WEEKS.

I went in for an oil change and asked them to look at my front passenger caliper. They told me it was completely locked out and that the driver side was close too, then quoted me $1200 for both calipers, bleeding the brakes, and an oil change. My calipers are $75 online, their price breakdown had each listed as $225. They wanted $360 for caliper labor and $190 to bleed the brakes. Needless to say I took my business elsewhere for 1/4 the price.

This is a 9 year old car that they detailed for me. Wow what a great job!

That was amazing and I'm very thankful, but even better was the very friendly service, actually inviting me into the shop to watch the process. Paul explained everything about the tires and recommended better ones next time. And the workflow is interesting where you put your car in line and in my case they actually allowed me to drive my 10K lbs diesel camper van into and out of the shop myself. I really appreciated that. I typically do all my own maintenance to make sure it's done right, but may give some of to them because I watched them work and trust their expertise. I highly recommend Radial Tire in Silver Spring and will definitely go back for anything they're willing to do. I couldn't believe they did what others couldn't for only $20 per tire and mine are over 100 lbs each! And they're one of the few shops in the area that have very tall shop doors. Great experience all around. Thanks guys!

I am including a brief description of the condition of the vehicle when I arrived at Radial Tire Monday (2/16/26) at 2:00pm. The receiving manager and I discussed the tire issues and history. I told him I had a service light in the dash that was saying a tire was low on air and they were new tires (vs the previous service light for sensors not functioning). He measured the tire pressure of all the tires and they were all at different psi (33, 34, 42 and 18). My vehicle was placed in a service line and I waited in a lobby for approximately an hour. Radial tires took the low tire off the vehicle and tested it for leaks and determined the problem was that a valve stem hadn't been correctly sealed, the tires were all fine. Before leaving the work bay, I noticed the sensor light was still on, so a retest determined the driver's front sensor was going bad and it was replaced. The service manager told me Toyota and Lexus have challenging tire sensors, that they can often get one sensor working and the computer will then say another good sensor stopped working. I left Radial Tire around 4:30, problems solved and paid for one new sensor and install. I've had several people tell me Radial Tire is the BEST in this area and they will have all of my business in the future and that of anyone I know. Thank you for resolving what was a time consuming, frustrating experience!! I'm so glad my friend recommended you!!

Mistakes happen, so I came back and asked to redo the alignment, showed them their own sheet and said the wheel was crooked after the alignment. They said (1) they don't do rear alignments on Toyotas (???), (2) the car has unspecified issues that don't allow it to be aligned, (3) they would need additional payment to do the steering wheel correction. When I pressed them on what the issues were, they refused to commit to anything. Nothing was written down. Truly baffling that these people are running a real shop. I asked to talk to the alignment tech and they said he can't speak English. So how can he understand anything? Is he just guessing? I'm willing to bet they don't have anyone trained and that they're just winging it on each alignment. I talked to Rose and Arbor (blond ponytail man). They kept pushing for more money, and they said I already got an alignment so I shouldn't be greedy. Very rude while I spoke very politely. I went to Midas down the street and they fixed it. No issues with the car were identified, perfect alignment, 45 minutes. The before measurements (after Firestone's alignment) were way off. Extremely unprofessional. Go here if you want your car to go 4 different directions while driving straight!

First, on one visit, I brought my car in for a simple gasket replacement, and they completely messed it up. I ended up having to take my vehicle to another shop to have the initial repair redone properly, which resulted in extra time and money wasted. Second, on a separate visit, they aggressively tried to convince me to replace two of my tires, claiming they had punctures and needed immediate replacement. I took the car elsewhere for a second opinion, and that mechanic confirmed the tires were perfectly fine--no punctures, just blatant upselling. The combination of faulty workmanship and an obvious attempt to scam a customer out of hundreds of dollars across multiple service visits is unacceptable. Avoid this location if you value quality work and honesty.
