This is the only garage I go to now for all my automotive problems. They're quick, honest and reliable. I brought my car in earlier this week after another mechanic to me I needed my brakes replaced. They checked my brakes and found nothing wrong. My mother brought her car in after another garage quoted her $700 to fix her CRV. Autoserv quoted her $500 but ended up only charging $400. These guys don't "look" for problems with your car so they can charge you for BS work. They actually fix what you need fixed. They're always busy so I guess it makes sense. I'd suggest calling in to make an appointment before going in. read more

I can't recommend AutoServ in Wheaton enough! They truly embody the rare combination of high-quality service and incredible value. Every time I bring my car in, I know the repairs are being done right--they have ASE certified mechanics and always stand by their work with a guarantee. What really sets them apart is their honesty and fair pricing. They always explain exactly what needs to be done without any upselling, and their labor rates are highly competitive. If you want trustworthy, local auto repair that doesn't break the bank, AutoServ is the place to go. read more

I've only been once, but they were great. They were able to get my car in and fix it same day, cheaply. They are close to my house. And you can get new tires here. read more

I ordered a set of Michelin tires online and had them delivered to Autoserv to mount on my car. I was able to make a same-day appointment and had my car back within a few hours. They pointed out that one of my tire rims is bent and the name of another business that could fix it. They were friendly and wanted to be helpful. I can't comment on the price because it was the first time in my life when I've bought tires from one company and had them put on the car by a different company. read more

The worse place you could bring your car too. From my experience with them it seems they are so racist and disrespectful.. This place is over priced, they will charge you more than other close by places and do crappy and slow job. They are extremely slow and will take hours just to get one simple thing done.. A 15 minute job take hours here.. Safe your time and energy and find somewhere else.. read more

Excellent service and great prices. My friend recommended this place and they do great work and are reliable and family owned.

Honest shop, good prices. They will not lie to you and recommend something if isn't absolutely needed. No "upselling" needless services.

I have gone here consistently for the last year for oil changes and even got new tires several months ago. However, recently I was yelled at on the phone by one of the employees. When I asked when I could get my car back, he said he had "no idea." I wont be taking my car here again. read more

So our Rav4 had to be jump started despite the fact the battery was less than a year old. We decided to take the car to Autoserv rather than the dealer as they are so much closer to our home. We thought the problem was probably something else, but no, it was the almost new battery. After calling the dealership and finding out they would replace it under the warranty we decided, for a number of reasons, to just go with Autoserv since the car was already there and it wasn't worth the time and trouble to drive out to Gaithersburg. We authorized a replacement and an oil change while they were at it. About 3 hours later we got a call the car was ready for pick-up. The man who called was really friendly on the phone, asked me "and how are you today?!" When Rich picked the car up he said one of the owners, probably the father, was very pleasant too. All in all it was a good experience, the cost seemed reasonable, and they are so close to our home that Rich can drop the car off and easily walk home. read more

I've been using Autoserv for years and have had great, timely service. I don't believe they ever said my car needed work that it didn't. I trust them. read more

UPDATED: I DO NOT recommended using AutoServ in Wheaton/Silver Spring, MD. (2401 University Blvd.) The cashier refunded me $807 instead of charging me $807. Then charged me $807 and wanted to charge me another $807. Unfortunately for him, refunds take 2-3 days to process. Unfortunately for me, he wants to keep my credit card until the refund comes through... so I made them call the cops. And at the recommendation of a Sargent at Montgomery County PD last night, I filed a complaint with the BBB. read more

Consistently reliable, honest and competitively priced. Formerly, I went to the auto mechanics at the Shell on Blue Ridge and Georgia. When they no longer did auto repair I asked the owner for his recommendation. He said that these guys at Auto Serv were so honest and did great work. I've been going to them for many years. read more

Took my car today to autoserv for service and the mechanic, Chris Schuler diagnosed my car correctly and fixed the problem perfectly. I drive a Shelby GT500 so I don't let just anyone work on my vehicle. I was referred to Autoserv from someone who takes her car there and told me that Chris, Pete and Alex were top notch and honest mechanics that actually knew what they were doing and she was 100% correct so after today they have my business from now on! Thank you Gentlemen for a job well done! read more

I went to get my car checked for noise and they said I needed new rotors and pads the manager Alex was such a jerk unfriendly and with an attitude he seemed like he did not want my business I went to get my rotors and pads elsewhere I would not go there again. read more

Bought a "New" battery from them and it took a dump in 2 weeks. They refused to refund and instructed me to call the manufacturer. I started using services there when it was GTO and continued when it was sold to Autoserv. Yes, I have had a diagnostic done on the car and it displayed 0 problems, except for the battery. read more

It's far overdue for me to leave a review on yelp for these guys. I've been here about half a dozen times over the past few years and here are my observations: 1) They are honest. This is really important for me as a consumer because I don't know a lot about cars. I have to be able to trust my mechanic. Alex and Pete are trustworthy. 2) Their rates are very reasonable. They are cheaper on labor compared with a couple car dealerships that I've gone to in the past. The car dealership always charges me an inspection fee to see what's wrong with the car (they credit this fee back if you decide to get the work done through them). AutoServ does not charge this upfront fee that locks you in. 3) They can do pretty much any work that a dealership can do. I've gotten engine work, other mechanical work, and basic maintenance things done like tires and wipers. Each time, they've done quality work. 4) It's family owned. From what I gather, there are two brothers and a dad who run the business. They sell girl scout cookies too. I like supporting family owned businesses in the community. I'm very happy with these guys and hope that they are around for a long time. read more

I cannot recommend this place enough. We've been going to them for several years and their prices are honest and they're pretty quick. Alex has looked into weird noises that our car was making and not charged us when he didn't find anything. When a faulty part caused catastrophic damage to our engine, they redid the work that they had done the year before even though we were over the warranty mileage. Maria was awesome and bent over backward to take care of us. We'll (continue to) be loyal customers for as long as we live here! read more

I have been going to AutoServ for years. Walking distance to the Metro which is a plus when I leave the car to got to work. I have brought in many different cars with a wide variety of issues, they have always been accurate and always with a fair price. No padding and I have not had to bring a car back for a re-do. Only negative they are not the friendliest folk, a bit more "bedside manner" would be nice. read more

I started using this place when I got hit around the corner from it. Very humble looking. It is now my regular spot. Squealing drive belt was fixed without the pain that the dealer gives me, pushing for replacing all belts. Last week we got 4 new tires for under $400. The dealer keeps telling me to fix the oozing lubricant for thousands of dollars, which is common in my Subaru, 200,000 miles ago. They do not. Love this place read more

These guys are great. I have a Fiesta ST that needs a seasonal wheel swap (summer to all seasons and back). When they finished up the first time they offered to store my swapped out wheels in the basement. I also genuinely like these folks. When my warranty is up, these guys will get my regular repair and maintenance business. read more

This place is AMAZING. I've taken my truck in for service at least 3x and every time I have been quite happy with their service and rates, I never felt like I was getting ripped off, though I do ask around to see if they are in line with costs for parts and labor and they definately are. Turnaround time is great, if they can't accomodate you the same day, they let you know to come back so that you aren't waiting around. This is my go to garage/mechanic from now on, they are definately quick, honest and reliable, no doubt. read more

I brought my car here a while back because my friend recommended the place to me and I received decent service. However my issue is with the customer service. Both times that I have been here I feel as though I am not valued. The front desk person I think his name was Alex is very rude. Maybe he was having an off day both times, but I was nice and trying to explain the issue with my car. He didn't even let me finish my sentences and told me that it'll take all day to diagnose the issue. So I left the car there at the shop. After about 6 hours I didn't hear anything and since their shop was closing soon, I gave them a call and again the guy on the phone was rude, he goes "yeah" and I ask what's the status with my car. He was abrupt and says nothing, and that they couldn't find anything and I should be able to pick it up. Now my issue is, if you weren't able to find anything isn't it common courtesy to give someone a call and let them know? When I went to pick up the car it was in the exact same spot and didn't even look like they touched it. I don't think I've ever been treated this way from a business, and they really need to step up their customer service. read more

These guys are top notch. I had an issue with Honda in college park and these guys came through with A+ service. I will probably be returning for all my car maintenance. I came into the shop very upset over something minor associated with my vehicle. These guys talked me through the issue and explained everything in detail. i greatly appreciate their service and I will be back. -2012 civic read more

I called the shop to get some guidance on what type of tire I should buy for my Honda Pilot and Dimas answered the phone. He literally spent over half an hour trying to help me figure out which tire would be best for my vehicle. I dropped my car off the next day to have the tires installed, balanced and also for them to do an oil change. They told me they would probably have my car ready by 2pm because they were swamped with appointments but at 11:20am they called me to go pick it up. I'm very happy with the amazing service I received from Dimas and the service they did on my car. It's safe to say I won't be going to any other shops for future car questions. read more

I came in for a tire repair, the tire was repaired and two days later still holding with no problems. Unlike another reviewer, I had to pay for my tire to be repaired which was not the issue. However, my issue was with the customer service. Not sure if it was the end of the day issue but the guy who assisted me was extremely RUDE. To the point, if I was really not in a pressed situation, I would have told him to give me my keys back and left. Location was clean, the work was done in a timely manner. But the customer service will keep me from never entering those doors again which is really sad. I have been looking for a good shop, based on the other reviews, this could have been it. Oh, well! read more

Took our 2010 Honda Pilot in this week. It was our first visit to Autoserv. The place had been recommended to us by a friend. We were not disappointed in the least. This shop was recommended to me. While I think they are fair and a talented crew of mechanics, there is a disconnect when it comes to communicating with their customers. When I arrived at 1:10pm, I told Pete, the mechanic, and Philip, at the front desk that I would wait in their customer lounge in the front of the shop, that i did NOT have a ride home. I brought my car in for a front end alignment. But there were multiple issues with my vehicle that I asked them to look into, if they could fix them today great, if not I'd bring my car back. They told me they were busy and it could be a long wait depending on what they found. I waited 4 hours. At two points inbetween I got up to ask what was going on, but the counter was unattended, nobody was there. So I sat back down. Finally, at 5:05 pm they told me my car was ready. I paid for the repair and left. They only did the front end alignment and only diagnosed other repairs that I'd need to get fixed. I was surprised that it took so long. When I got home there was a message on my home phone from Alex saying that my car was ready - at 2:38pm. So I called and asked why then did I wait until 5pm to be told my car was ready - an extra 2 1/2 hours?? There was no apology, just a comment that "no one told him that I was waiting there." Wth? Its not the customer's responsibility to tell the right hand what the left hand knows. Somebody should have noted on my paperwork that I was WAITING THERE FOR REPAIRS. Don't they TALK to one another? Thanks for wasting 2 1/2 hours of my time and making me feel invisible and pissed off. I'd hate to think that they treat women not as well as their male customers, but, read the reviews. Me thinks something is a little off. Judge for yourself. read more
