I discovered a screw in one of my tires and went to Hanagan's. Although they were busy, the person on duty came out to my car - removed the screw and checked to make sure there was no leak. All good and no charge with a big smile on his face. Can't beat that kind of service! read more

At Hanagan's they will get the job done The staff are very awesome people and very knowledgeable in their work.

Have been going to Hanagan's for years. I have had tire service, alignments, front end work, A/C repair, and more over the years. I would describe them as honest, competent, and fair. It has always been a pleasant experience when getting my vehicles serviced at Hanagan's. read more

These guys are the real deal. I moved to Gaithersburg 5 years ago and had no idea where to take my car. After an unpleasant experience at the dealership I came to Hanagan's and was treated like a human being and got an honest opinion about what repairs my car needed for the MD inspection. I now bring my vehicle in once a year for annual checkup and service. Give them a shot you won't be disappointed. read more

Always reliable, always fair (more than fair). Can't give them high enough marks for everything from regular service, tire patching, tire purchase, resetting and fixing check engine light problems! Loyal customer of over 25 years! read more

Can I give more than 5 stars? For starters, they saw me 2 hours after I called. My wife decided to take a road trip last second and I had been procrastinating on getting new tires. Definitely not letting her drive 14 hours on tires that shake at 55mph. So they've already gone above what I expected by taking me on short notice, but then they get even better. They offered me some coffee which I gladly excepted, and then proceed to show me exactly why the tires wore so unevenly. I spent the rest of the time there chatting them up and watching them work; great conversation btw! So they replaced the tires, fixed the underlying problem, and gave it an alignment and oil change. Then they proceed to buff the cloudy headlights till they gleamed like new and check all the fluids unprompted because they knew my wife and little girls were taking a trip. I thought it couldn't get any better till they offered me lunch! Great group of guys and fair prices combine for a genuinely fantastic experience! read more

A week later I got a nail on a tire and needed help, the rip on the tire was bad. They tried to fix it and no charge amd explained and showed me how ot couldn't be fixed and sold me a new tire. Good service and recommended business. Thank you. read more

Have to change my breaks and found this place. Excellent customer service, good price. Job done professionally and relatively fast. Have few rusty bolts and guys replaced them for me. Honest price evaluation without additional services, guys really doing their job, 5 stars, no doubt. read more

1st Class! A+.... A rare company that puts customer service & satisfaction over making a quick buck. I needed a new set of 20" tires for my car & knew the dealer was trying to kill me in price. I called Kevin at Hanagans (he is a Hanagan) & he quoted me prices for mid range & higher range tires that had the same exact warranty. I was not pressured in anyway with some BS & ultimately chose the higher end Michelins. My greatest praise is that I was treated honestly & with respect. So often as a woman I'm treated as a moron w regards to my cars maintenance & the guys at Hanagans explained things to me with professionalism & courtesy. They also did a complete brake job that was more than reasonable considering the amount of work that was required. These guys are great! read more

Tires are something I know very little about, but in the past I have tried a few places. So I asked around and Hanagan's kept coming up, including from my mechanic. So I left a message via online on Tuesday night and Kevin called me early Wednesday. I explained the exact tire I wanted and size. Kevin was very knowledgeable and explained throughly my options besides the tires I had asked for. ** the tires I asked for had come with the car and were no longer produced, however he could get them for me. As far as tires go they were mid range and all of the reviews agreed** Once we agreed on tires, he had Tim call me back with in minutes with a quote and we made a time for the service. When you first see the shop it is small and right on the street. It should have a sign that says "our pride is on the inside". I honestly would have never stopped there on my own. However once I walked inside right at 8am the staff was amazing. They took my keys and went right to work. I walked a few blocks and grabbed a bite to eat. I returned at 8:20 and by 8:30 my keys were being handed to me and the quoted price was what I paid. So great service, great recommendations (better tires then I had wanted with a lower price), and great customer service. I would recommend Hanagan's to all my friends! read more

this place is great. good people who are straight forward with you. no b.s. if you have car problem or need tires come hete you wont be disappointed read more

No wonder why they have five stars review, I needed to replace my tires on my truck let me tell you.....the best experience by far that I had for a while, From the moment that I stepped foot in the shop I was greeted very politely and being inform each step of the way, Highly recommended and definitely Will use them again, read more

These guys are the best. From the moment you enter the front office they make you feel welcome. They went over all my options and once we picked out what I needed it was only 20 minutes and I was on my way. They don't make you feel like they are up selling you constantly like the other shops I've been to. They are a full service shop and do everything you need from oil changes to brakes and tires. read more

Very happy with my new tires and the excellent customer service from Kevin at Hanagan's. The entire team was professional and I was finished and back on the road sooner than expected. Manyvthanks to everyone at Hanagan's read more

After being jerked around by several tire shops, Hanagan's pulled through. I was able to swiftly make a request online which Kevin kindly addressed. He tried to get me the two tires I needed on the same day I called, something none of the other tire places even attempted. We settled on a time to drop off the car a couple of days later. Kevin was a joy to work with. Honest, dependable, and great to have a conversation with. I would return here to get mechanical work done on my car. read more

I usually go to Costco to get my tires replaced but I got tired of the 2 to 3 hour waits to get the tires installed and waiting an hour sometimes to get them rotated. I went on yelp and found this family owned business and glad I did. I made an appointment for 10am and got my new Continental True Contact tires replaced on my Honda CRV in about 40 minutes. The customer service from getting a quote for these tires to getting them installed and having them answer any questions I had was awesome. I will be coming here in the future for all of my tire needs. read more

You know, I had a very simple request, that is somehow very confusing for most businesses and entail a lot of stupid penny pithy costs: I have a wheel with a flat tire and I have an extra full size tire I would like you to put on. The response: Swapping tires? Sure that's easy, $24 (and no stupid disposal and pithy fees). I was super skeptical when I showed because of the layout, parking didn't have "lines" designating spots, but it was very obvious where I could park because it said customer parking. And of course I noticed it was Irish owned, so they won't lie to you, and they're straight about what everything is. This one hour job from dealerships, or even Sams Club took them 20 minutes. I was literally choking on thin air inside my head because I was just getting ready to settle in for one more lost hour in my weekend. Leave it to the Irish to let you go home with a smile ;) Quality of job: Amazing Time: Incredible Staff present on a Saturday: Skeleton Crew Work capacity of the Skeleton Crew: I would hire them if I owned a shop Credit Card: They took American Express, so screw most of the other shops in Gaithersburg and Rockville that won't. They realize that having 94-96% of my money is more than 0% of my money. So if you're looking for work, and not sure which review to lean towards to get your job done, just stop reading and head on over to Hanagan's to get the job done right, and in a timely manner. read more

I am sold on Hanagan's work on replacing 4 tires and wheel alignment. After doing some extensive research on some Continental tires, I asked Hanagans for recommendations, and they list the pros and cons of every tire. This is much different than your national brand tire shops, who often taut just the good stuff. The communication was solid throughout the ordering process, pick-up and drop-off. The tire price was reasonable comparing to online prices, and the labor rate was industry. The only reason why it's not a 5 star rating is because when I picked up my car in the morning, my car key was inside the car and parked outside in the parking lot . No idea how long it was sitting there with key inside, and I didn't tell them what time I'll be coming by. I don't like it one bit, even if Gaithersburg is one of the safer neighborhoods. read more

If you need another reason to support a local or small business owner, this place would be it. I got a puncture in my tire on my way to work and fortunately, was right in the area of this shop. The shop was able to take me right in and got the job done in under 15 minutes. I didn't get his name but assume he was the owner and I can say he is just absolutely warm and friendly. There was also none of "may I suggest you get new tires, alignment, inspection, etc" that one would expect at a chain. I don't need new tires just yet but will be back here when that time comes. read more

These guys are the BEST! Trust me! everyone in here is very friendly and honest they do the job right! No BS here! I been to other shops with rude employees and bad work ethics, but these guys know what they're talking about get the job done right and pretty fast. I will be coming here in the future for all my car needs no matter what, highly recommended place 5 stars. read more

It can be hard to find a reliable shop to take care of your car and not fleece you while doing it. Hanagans is that place. We found them thanks to some positive reviews here on Yelp!, and we have been bringing both of our cars and mom's car here for some time now. They are extremely knowledgable and very fair in their pricing and rates. Time and again they have proven themselves fair and honest. They never propose work that isn't necessary and they don't overcharge. They also won't tackle a task that is outside their scope of work. Two examples: brought my new to me used car here for a check up and state inspection; they told me it looked great, they said the oil had been recently changes so it could wait. They rotates and balanced the tires. Everything else was in good shape. They could have done the oil change and I would never know but they are not like that. Example two: an automatic door closer cable on my Toyota Sienna snapped. They looked at it but said this would be a fortune to repair and they said taking off the door and taking it apart to get to the motor was best left to a dealership. Of course they were right on on the cost and we have had negative experiences with our local dealership so we just decided that the doors are now manual. It will build the kids' arm-strength. In short: this is an excellent shop. They tell you clearly what is up with your vehicle. They get it done as quickly as possible. They charge fair prices. read more

These guys are the best. Honest, great prices, fair deal. And not just for tires. They do repairs, too. If your car needs repair, it is what it is and it has to be fixed, but they'll give you options, their recommendation, and a fair price so when you're done, you don't feel ripped off and your car is fixed. And, if you need tires, they'll typically beat the big box stores, they're much easier and faster to deal with (in and out in record time) and they're great about servicing your tires after the sell. I'd much rather give my money to the local guys anyway, and in this case, I get to do that AND get better service and better prices. How can you go wrong? read more

The folks at Hanagan's are great! In all my years I have not come across a better repair shop. They are friendly, knowledgeable and honest. There have been a couple of occasions where I was simply surprised at just how nice they can be and what they are willing to do for their customers. Highly recommended. read more

The people at Hannagan's never let me down. They are honest and straight forward. No BS and no upsale like many other shops. I took my mustang here for all tires installation and alignment. This well deserved review is a long time coming... Sorry its been a few months but you all deserve a note of appreciation! Truly great work and great people to interact with... My car was shaking so much and making so much noise that everyone in my family insisted I sell it. I took it in right before the Thanksgiving weekend and they were short staffed but took the time and consideration to look through my car and help me understand it. I literally got a mini crash course on what the bottom of my car looks like haha (Prob was my first time looking underneath). When I drove my car out it felt like a completely different/new car and tbh it never felt as smooth even the day I bought it. Excellent work! Thank you so much for all your help and kindness through the exhaustive holiday season. read more
