Can I give more than 5 stars? I already had this tire repaired at home in New York on Friday prior to driving down to Maryland only to find that it was half flat by the time I got down here. I filled it with air but sure enough in the morning it was half flat again. I knew that I could not drive back to NY on this tire but didn't know how to get it taken care of quickly and with someone who would not rip me off. I turned to Yelp and they did not let me down. Sunday night at 11pm I tried to make an appointment on line at Hanagan's but the system said there was nothing available until Tuesday. Needing a Monday appointment I sent an email through the web site but figured that I would just call in the morning. To my surprise there was already an email for me when I woke up at 7am from Kevin the owner! I then got a follow up phone call from him letting me know that I could bring the car in any time. The staff there was super friendly and although I did have to wait for them to get a new tire for me from another location, they let me know how long the wait was going to be and considering that I didn't have an appointment, I could see they were super busy and it was a Monday morning, they really got me out of there very quickly and at a reasonable price. Highly recommend. I plan to run this old Honda into the ground and the next time I need another repair I will see if I can drag this vehicle down to Gaithersburg to have Kevin's team look at it rather than having it fixed in NY again! read more

Just moved to Gaithersburg and am very glad I found this place. The crew is great and are honest about what you need now, and what repairs can wait. They have also squeezed me in last minute on two occasions so I can get my car looked at the same day. I really recommend this place for anything from a oil change to a big repair. read more

You can't go wrong here. Super knowledgeable guys, honest, and reasonably priced to boot. They're also just friendly and you can tell they like what they do, so it makes you feel comfortable as a customer. On more than one occasion they went above and beyond expectations. For example, one employee spent an extra 3h on the phone and on the computer trying to figure out an issue we were having with the TPMS non-sense (i had bought new rims and tires for a newer civic and I read online all these forums that all had the wrong answers, but Danny at Hanagan's figured it out). In fact, we spent so long on the issue I actually drove off to try and come back another day, but received a call on my way home saying to come back because he wanted to try something new, and it worked. All this effort for no extra charge. Considering it was my fault that caused the initial confusion, it was really refreshing. Exceptional service all around. read more

They offer pricing competitive to online tire merchants, all while being able to provide the tires and service immediately or as soon as possible. You really cannot beat that! The guys know what they are doing and you can rest assured that your vehicle will be taken care of. read more

These guys are great! Tim could see I had my hands full with my 3 year old daughter and got my tire fixed in 20 min when they originally told me it would be an hour or 2. Excellent customer service, super friendly and professional. My daughter now tells people that if they need tires to go see Mr. Tim at Hanagans! read more

Wonderful company - a pleasure to deal with. I felt confident in their advice as to the best tires for my vehicle. I didn't realize that they do a lot of other things. I will definitely be using them in the future. read more

I just left Hanagan's and jumped on Yelp immediately to sing their praises. Could not have been nicer and more honest and helpful. If you need tires for any other service they take care of come here. You won't be disappointed. read more

I was in a bind as I was traveling to New York the next day and I needed to have one of the tires replaced as it had a pretty sizable nail in it. Being that the tire was 19 inches I knew most places wouldn't carry that size. I was told to go to Hanagan's as they have a huge inventory. I walked in at 11:45am not knowing they closed on at noon on Saturday. I talked to Kevin, the owner and he said he did have the tire I needed in stock at his Germantown location and he could have it there in 30 minutes. He said he could have one his guys put it on even though they were getting ready to close. As I was waiting I decided to have a chat with Kevin. He is really passionate about what he does and it's great to see a small business owner who goes above and beyond for a customer. They have a customer for life!!! read more

I was told by my insurance company to take my vehicle to Hanagans, and was happy they did. Great service. Got me a rental car with Enterprise, gave me an accurate estimate, and got my vehicle back to me on time. One of the best experiences with getting my vehicle repaired. read more

This establishment provides a customer service that is so hard to find nowadays. I pulled up to this auto repair shop on a Saturday morning due to flat tire and even though they were busy with appointments, they took me in (I did not have appointment) and fixed my flat tire within 30 minutes. Kevin, the owner even apologized that it took so long. I laughed as 30 minutes is a reasonable time frame to fixed my flat tire, considering they have other customers to tend to. Kevin explained to me the process of how they fixed my tires and after I paid my fees, I left the shop happy as I found an auto shop that not only provides excellent customer service but also performs high quality repair! read more

If you're reading these reviews for Hanagan's Tire/Auto in Gaithersburg, then you know how challenging finding an honest, competent mechanic can be. Your search is over. Kevin Hanagan and his team of certified experts are the best that I've found in Gaithersburg and I've tried many other shops here. Believe the reports. These guys are top notch service providers. read more

Monday morning, Hanagan's Tire got us out of a real jam. We were in town for a funeral, and had damaged the front right tire on a curb. It turns out, there was a bolt stuck in the tire near the side wall, too It caused a slow leak that I slowed down further with Fix-A-Flat. Our 2013 Ford Focus SE, had an extended warrantee on the tires, that was only helpful back in MA. However, the guys's at Hanagan's Tire contacted the insurer and submitted a reimbursement request on our behalf. It took a bit of effort to locate the exact tire, and to negotiate and file our claim. This was EXTREMELY helpful. Note: there aren't in some GPS databases. We initially ended up at the wrong shop in Silver Springs, oops. We highly recommend Hanagan's Tire at 465 E Diamond Ave Gaithersburg, MD 20877 http://hanagans.com/ The evening before, I used their website to find the brand and model tire I needed. That was very helpful. We got an alignment just to be on the safe side. (I've been hitting curbs, getting used to our car. The doors are higher then on our old 97 Saturn SL2. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Hanagan's/@39.1389973,-77.1800855,3a,75y,175.8h,90t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1sukofYh6tgbmMLLdeMHmIvg!2e0!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x59dd89b397ff747a https://www.google.com/maps/place/Hanagan's/@39.1389973,-77.1800855,3a,75y,175.8h,90t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1sukofYh6tgbmMLLdeMHmIvg!2e0!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x59dd89b397ff747a read more

I just had a great experience at Hanagan's. I arrived on a busy Saturday morning and they still were able to help me quickly and efficiently! I had a flat tire, but I couldn't find out where the leak was. Tim was super helpful! He was able to determine that my valve stem core was loose (I had never even heard of a valve stem core)! He even showed me how to find a leak in a tire using soapy water. He gave me helpful information on checking my tires and keeping them properly inflated (I had a tendency to over-inflate my tires). He replaced my valve stem core. There was no leak! Then, Ian (who was also super helpful) double checked there was no leak and put my tire back on. When I went, I was ready to buy a new tire (thinking my tire was irreparable). They were honest and didn't unnecessarily charge me for things I didn't need. I just moved to the area and I will definitely be using Hanagan's for all my auto needs! read more

I recently had my tires dis mounted and re mounted by Hanagans, this to allow my wheels to be re powder coated. Service and courtesy were above and beyond. If your looking for individual service like the "old days"- where every customer counts , this is the place. Classic car/ custom wheels- they really care about your wheels /tires!! Thank you Hanagans !!! You were a huge help- take care - stay safe!! read more

Amazing! I had a slow leak in one of my tires and was headed back to New Jersey the next morning. I was lucky it took maybe 30 minutes for them to inspect and fix my tire. They even explained when you can and can't plug a tire. I'd defiantly recommend Hanagan's! read more

Well, it is always easy to be critical but praise is all too commonly not forthcoming. My Coverman and his wife picked up a 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue. He put in new brake pads and rotors but needed to get the wheels torqued. He also had some other problems with the car. So, they bring it in to Hanagan's for an oil change. Andy, which also happens to be my Coverman's name, is the mechanic who is going to work on the car. Well, he not only changes the oil, but fixes the cover of a wire harness, takes care of the wheels, does an electronic scan, and gives the car a nice once over. All they were charged was for the oil change. They are both getting new cars and to be sure, they will take the cars to Hanagan's for routine maintenance and for anything else. Needless to say it is very difficult to find a business with people who really care about their customers. These people do. i would highly recommend them for your car needs. They offer full service including tires. One thing to note. Because of changes in the numbering of the streets, some GPSs will send you to a storage facility. That is not where you want to go. If you are not sure, call them before you drive there. read more

Very nice and helpful in explaining everything both on the phone with me in advance and when I arrived. They replaced my tire and got me back to work in way under an hour! I know nothing about tires and they helped me figure out where on my car I could find all the information I needed and my differing price options. Thank you! read more

I trusted Yelp when looking for a garage to replace the compressor on my 2009 Honda Civic. I had no air conditioning. I actually ordered a compressor through BAP on the web. It was a compressor supposedly for a 2009 Honda. Looked the same but did not fit. No Matter. Kevin Hannagan took care of the problem and understood I did not want to spend a lot of money on an older car. My first experience there was very positive. They were friendly and kept me posted. I would highly recommend them. read more

These guys are great! I took my Acadia here a couple of times now for minor work and they completed the tasks quickly and honestly. So far so good! read more

You probably won't get better customer service and price than this small family operated place that's been around for a long time. I love supporting local businesses that still value personal relationships, honesty, respect and genuineness. If you're looking for a reliable honest place for tires or any auto repair, I highly recommend Hanagan's. I ended up getting four new tires here. Although it's out of the way, they are worth the drive (if you have someone along with another car and you can go hang out elsewhere) - my tires come with free lifetime rotations! read more

Really nice guys. We stopped in after hearing some uncomfortable sounds coming from the car. They drove it around and took a look underneath and didn't find anything. A really nice and honest group of guys. Gave them a tip and headed on our way. Will definitely be back if we have a problem. read more

Great service, great prices! Recommended a cheaper tire than I had if I wanted a better deal. Dave was awesome!

I almost overlooked this place when I was shopping for tires because I thought the bigger chains would have better prices... WRONG! I sent a price inquiry through the website and Sean responded promptly with a price that even when road hazzard protection was added beat any other price I'd received, AND I could get the tires installed the next day instead of the 3 day wait NTB and Costco quoted. They had me in and out of there in an hour. The staff are knowledgeable, professional and friendly. There was no up selling, no condescending tone, and all questions I or other customers had were patiently answered. While I was there several guys came in to get maintenance and repair work done to their cars, so I'll most likely return to get other work done there if needed. I look forward to recommending Hanagan's to my friends! read more

I went to the Gaithersburg location for a new tire and was blown away by the customer service. Very professional and friendly. They were extremely efficient and had me back on the road in no time. After the recent stories about old tires being sold by dealers (i.e. tires that are unused but manufactured 5-10 years ago), I decided to check the date code on my new tired from Hanagan's. The date code was 0114 = 1st week of 2014! Brand new. Wow! 5 Stars for Hanagan's. read more

Dave and the guys were amazing to deal with. I got my tires online and had them delivered to Hanagan's. They were great in contacting me and setting up an appointment that worked with my schedule. I had 4 tires installed and all 4 wheels aligned in an hour, I was surprised it was done so quickly with the volume of business they had that day, and they do their very best to accommodate walk-ins. A guy had a tire that wouldn't hold pressure, they diagnosed it as a pinhole leak in his sidewall while I was there, they handled him as well. They stock an amazing amount of tires at their Rockville warehouse and are VERY competitive on pricing. I'd gotten tires from Costco before these and while I can't complain about Costco's service, I wish I'd known about Hanagan's sooner. read more

Hanagan got my car in same day and fixed by 3pm! I had an additional last minute request for an inspection the morning I planned to pick up my car and they obliged. Their pricing is fair, they are courteous and genuinely good people. read more

Almost a year later and still 5 stars. Went back to these guys for a brake issue; Andy called me about an hour after I dropped my car off to explain what he saw. No pressure to sell me on anything - in fact, he told me the brakes still had life left in them! Will continue to go to these guys for all of my auto needs. read more

Faced with a flat tire (and no usable spare) on this holiday weekend, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Hanagan's was open. Still, it was a Saturday and they close at noon, so I wasn't sure if they'd be able to fit me in by the time the tow truck got my car there. But they did! Kevin and his staff were very helpful, and I felt well cared for. Kevin explained everything, without being condescending, and Hanagan's price for the new tires was less than what I would have paid at the dealer. I will be going back there for more service on my car. Always nice to support a local, family-owned business. ps) I found Hanagan's thru Yelp, so thank you to the other reviewers! read more

Excellent customer service from the call to the repair. Fixed my tire quickly and for a reasonable price!

Kevin and the guys in the shop are the best. Great work that they stand behind at an honest price. What more could you ask for? Hanagan's is the way auto service should be. read more

I stopped by Hanagan's to get the trim fixed on my Lexus. It had come loose and was flapping in the wind. Jim took a look at it, asked me to take a seat in the waiting room and 15 minutes later delivered my car to me with the trim glued back on. NO CHARGE. I don't know these people, I have never spent any money with them, and they FIXED IT FREE. Who does that?!! They have my business for life! Love these people. read more

Bought Michelin and Continental tires here for both my vehicles...2013 Ford Mustang GT and Ford Edge. I will always come back here and always recommend. read more

Solid old school local business! I searched online and went through all the chains looking for tires as well as Tire Rack. I sent an email through the Hanagan's website asking for a price on the set I was interested in. Received a message back almost instantly and they had the lowest price I had seen. Scheduled an installation day and they had me in and out within an hour. Knowledgeable and friendly guys who have been doing this for quite a while. Too easy. I won't buy tires anywhere else in the future. read more

Accommodating, honest, and quick! My car with tires and brakes was done within the morning.

Kevin was very nice, he took me in without an appointment and fixed my flat tire along with a tire rotation and oil change. I was in and out in about an hour, with no appointment! Oh, he also put in synthetic oil instead of the blend witch I had requested because it was what the car required at no extra charge. Super service. So nice to find honest car repair. Thanks Kevin, will be coming back for my scheduled service soon. read more
